Popular Post DaveB2204
Update 1 Afternoon everyone, 8 days after joining this challenge, I thought I would provide my first update. Most of the week has been spent focusing on Witcher 3 as well as making a decent bit of progress with Friday 13th. Oh and I have chipped away at Burnout as well. Annoyingly I am pretty hooked on Injustice 2 at the moment so that has also taken up a fair chunk of time (was over 50% when joining this challenge so couldn't include). First swap made as well with Skyrim being replaced by Red Dead Redemption (have had the online done for near a year now, just need to complete both the story and Undead Nightmare). All in all, really happy with my progress over the last week! 1. Witcher 3 - 17% --> 26% 2. Horizon Call of the Mountain - 16% --> 18% 3. Burnout Paradise Remastered - 9% --> 37% 4. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order - 1% 5. Wreckfest - 1% 6. Hogwarts Legacy - 2% 7. Friday 13th - 25% --> 54% 8. Football Manager 2023 - 3% 9. Popular Post gruffiiti
Hi everyone. Knocked out my first game with LEGO Batman 3 a few days ago. Its been on my backlog for years and I finally decided to tackle it. I needed a good long break from LEGO games after the last one I did as the collectibles cleanup always seems to burn me out. I wish I could report I was working on the next game for this challenge but got sidetracked with starting Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 and For Honor which are both gonna need plenty of hours. I do hope to get back and finish up South Park soon though. Popular Post StilRh
Hey loves. Hope it's been a good week for you all. This week I've been drilling into The Forest, completed it today but still a lot of work to be done for the platinum. I'm no expert in the genre but I'm finding it an excellent survival horror game overall. However, a bit of jank and some buggy, tedious trophies in there. I've played a handful of games in Catan for a few more percentage points. I am adding a game that I didn't even know was coming out for PS4/5 The Last Spell which is a cracking TBS/tower defence roguelite (think They are Billions meets Final Fantasy Tactics) that is too addictive for it's own good! Off-list, still trying to work on MP trophies for Red Dead Redemption. This week I would like to platinum The Forest (it is going to involve spoofing a few online games, rubber-banding controllers and leaving the console idle for approx 50 hours!) and maybe also Catan. Have a great one Catan 74% > 77% Chained Echos 16% Crosscode 12% Elden Ring 11% Hogwarts Legacy 31% Kaiju Wars 26% Monster Sanctuary 0% Shantae: Half-genie Hero 49% Sniper Elite 4 16% Star ocean divine force 5% Steins;gate elite 0% The Forest 11% > 54% The Pedestrian 100% Warhammer 40,000 Mechanicus 27% Wild Hearts 29% NEW: The Last Spell 0% > 29% Swaps 0/3 Platinum/100% 1/16

Dragon Age II Dragon Quest Builders II Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition Wonder Boy Collection-50=>53% Swaps used-0/3 I started Wonder Boy in Monster World, but much later than I intended, so I didn't get very far. I also got stuck for 10 minutes because I forgot how to do something and felt like an idiot for doing so. I still made a little bit of progress and will continue tomorrow. Hoping to finish and begin Monster World IV as well.

To be fair, the reason I haven't been updating was because I wanted to get Ninjaga SoR out of the bag, but I am not as eager to push it down as I was LEGO Chima. Will probably carry it with me to my clothes shopping today just to get work on it done. Only completed the first two of ten levels. But it'll get done. I might just skip taking the Vita to Florida and play 3DS stuff instead since I re-downloaded Super Mario Maker and Dragon Quest VII due to the e-shop being shut down forever in two weeks(deleted Pokemon Crystal on my New 3DS since I already have a copy of that on my 2DS and felt a bit redundant having two copies) so I might just go back through Dragon Quest VII again as I had almost completed it but deleted it out of boredom because I was platinuming games.

Dragon Age II Dragon Quest Builders II Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition Wonder Boy Collection-53=>75% Swaps used-0/3 Finished Wonder Boy in Monster World. I enjoyed it as much as I did the first go around. However, I accidentally skipped the credits, so didn't get the trophy for completing the game. My last save was at the beginning of the final zone, so had to do that again. I watched the credits and the trophy dinged immediately after. Hoping to have the platinum by Friday. Don't think it'll be an issue, though.
Popular Post Buff_Cupcake
Update 2: I think i'm going to do a single weekly update, rather than dropping them constantly and feeling bad because i'm spamming you all. I figured every Thurs or Fri is a good time to do it. It's St. Patrick's Day in Ireland this weekend and it's a three day weekend as a result, it's also weird, because today is technically Friday for me. I'm definitely going to celebrate a bit, but it also means i'll have some extra time to get some gaming in. Destiny 2 I made a bit of progress in Destiny 2 - so much grinding to bring my gear level up to scratch for some of the more advanced trophy requirements. I'm close to the 5,000 Truimph points trophy, which are basically points you earn through the in-game achievement system. I thought that was going to be a grind, but you earn so many achievements simply by playing through content that it's almost taking care of itself in the background. I'm also ready to take a Nightfall dungeon run on Master difficulty which i'm really looking forward to! If I can wrangle some guild members to group with over the next couple of days, i'll hopefully have some progress down with the harder trophies this weekend. The Evil Within 2 I also made a dent in The Evil Within 2. I played this to death on the PC ages ago so it's not a brand new experience, but I had forgotten how good looking this game was. The art design is pure artistic horror, everything from the creature design to the decor is like a set-piece. I think it is strange that they never patched in a proper photo mode to be able to capture that, they did patch in a fully functional 1st person mode though, which is actually pretty great. I've found myself switching between third and first person regularly to look at objects and areas in more detail. The game also does some pretty fantastic stuff with your perception of reality too which really lets the developers open up with some interesting level design to disorientate you and keep you on your toes. I still remember quite a bit from my Nightmare and Classic mode playthroughs back on the PC, so I'm pretty confident i'll have my first playthrough on Nightmare difficulty complete by the end of the weekend. Diablo 4 Beta I'm generally not a huge fan of betas as I prefer to play the game in as finished a state as possible. But I'm going to give this a shot over the weekend too. Normally I wouldn't bother but, you get a cosmetic item exclusive to beta participants that I actually can't resist. A wolf puppy just having a lovely little nap in your backpack while you go adventuring. It's fully animated too, so it will occasionally snuggle about in the pouch and generally make sure it is consistently as comfortable as possible. Turns out, a wolf puppy is my kryptonite when it comes to getting me to participate in a beta. It completely caught me off guard, because this game is shaping up to be a proper horror MMORPG, and to see this little furball was a nice surprise. Spoiler Anyway, that's me for now. Have a lovely weekend everyone and keep the updates coming. I'm really enjoying reading them! Just FYI, you don't need to restart this. Most of the areas in the game have minimal chests to find and it's pretty easy to go back and clean up later. The open chests stay on the map. Also, some chests are in hidden areas that only unlock after certain game events. The only complicated area is right at the end of the game, where there's like 20+ chests to open. There I'd say you need to keep a close track on what you're doing, as the final area has no map. I did it this way with no issues ? Popular Post iXanon
Update #2 It's been a slower start than I'd have liked, but.. life happens. In positive news however, my first game is done and dusted in the form of MouseCraft (PS4), kind of a Lemmings meets Tetris style game - though I'll admit to using a guide for the last few levels with the movable blocks because I'd grown pretty bored of the game by that point and ready to move on to my next.. I tried firing up The Saboteur (PS3) but it seems to have a lot more screen tearing than I remember and didn't really feel like dealing with that.. ? The only place I know I haven't cleaned out is the secret area in Nether Nebula, but that's because the enemies there are higher rank versions of the usual enemies so they keep wiping my party so I need to be a little stronger before I can explore that area.
Popular Post SicilianDragon92
A Place for the Unwilling 22% > 25% Ni No Kuni II 28% > 35% Immortals Fenyx Rising 6% > 9% Kingdom Come: Deliverance 39% Wasteland 3 9% > 23% Mass Effect 3 0% > 31% Middle Earth: Shadow of War 12% > 15% Updates are in Bold Another quite busy work week down, still chipping away at the games on my list. Most significant progress has been in Mass Effect 3 and Wasteland 3 Mass Effect 3 0% > 31% This is the one I am using to keep the trophy total ticking over while I work on the bigger, trickier games on the list. There is absolutely nothing difficult about this one, and I expect to have it finished within the next few weeks. Overall I’m enjoying it so far, the opening acts have been a mixture of big eye-catching set-pieces and call backs to characters from the previous games. Can’t really blame them for that though it is a bit lacking in creativity. If it’s not broke don’t fix it I suppose. Although one change they have made that I’m in favour of is the removal of planet scanning, good lord that was tedious! Wasteland 3 9% > 23% It has taken a few years but Wasteland 3 has finally got its hooks in me. I absolutely loved the previous one, despite never really playing games of that type when I was a child, but have never before been too enthralled with this one. I think part of the issue was a really pedantic trophy list. There are a few different collectibles that span the whole game and a few of them are missable. This has led to me reloading old saves a few times losing progress or sometimes restarting altogether which is never very fun. It’s also a game I find quite hard even on regular difficulty, and the platinum will require a playthrough on super hard mode. I can probably count on one hand the number of games I’ve finished on the hardest difficulty when there was an option so it does make me think twice. To try to mitigate these things my plan is to playthrough once on normal difficulty while only attempting some of the collectibles. I‘ll then do the rest during a second playthrough on supreme jerk mode. I find it too stressful to track every collectible in one go especially when guides are hard to come by and not very detailed. Trying to do them all at once has already led to me restarting for about the 6th time, so if I track fewer of them I’ll get through the story much quicker and that will keep my motivation up. March is still quite a busy work month but off for the majority of April so hopefully will be able to pickup the pace soon. Thanks for posting updates everyone, they are so entertaining to read.

Yeah, because of the chests in hidden areas and how they become available, backtracking in this game is inevitable so don't worry about it too much. Navigating through Castle Exnine at the end of the game is complicated though, and without a map to guide you it is difficult to find all the chests there. When you get to that part of the game, try and get all the chests on your original run through. I followed a text walkthrough with screenshots for this part.

It was such a nice little game, it kind of reminded me of old school rpgs with the equipment slots and stats and all the books with extra lore to find. You play as a minstrel mouse who has to escape prison, I got to sing songs to people to get them to like me, and use disguises to trick people into helping me, it was very refreshing to not play as a stealthy archer or barbarian type. The one downside is that the game ends of a pretty big cliffhanger, I’ve seen that they’re working on a sequel, hopefully it’ll come to PlayStation too and I’ll get to continue the adventures of Tilo. I did see complaints about the game being buggy, but I didn’t have any issues (other than it being ridiculously dark). There are barely any autosaves and manual saves can only be done in hiding places, so I can see someone having a bad time if their game did bug out on them a lot. Outside of this event I’ve also started Overcooked 2 with my 6 year old who apparently loved being bossed around by me in Moving Out and wants more of the same. I also re-downloaded Erica and was pleasantly surprised to find I had left the game at the end of a playthrough and popped a whole bunch of trophies pretty quickly. I should only need 1 more playthrough, and I’m glad I left it so long because I’d actually forgotten a lot of the plot points. I think if I’d done all 6-8 playthroughs at once I would have hated myself. Anyway, enough waffle from me. Good luck everyone in beating your games

Getting a lot of downtime from work cause of holidays (woo education sector!) and just a general slowdown of work that needs to be done in person so - more time to play games at home in the next month! I realize I added a bunch of games that are crazy ambitious but, BUT, I think I can complete all of these before the end of May. Just finished Maneater this morning - wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I think the initial hurdle was kinda demoralizing and left the impression this would be an EXTREMELY grindy game, but it wasn't - which was a relief. I don't know why I thought the Truth Quest DLC was part of the download from PS Extra, but alas - not going to buy that. Other than that, I'm very close to Platinum-ing Assassins' Creed 2 and WWE 2K22, but those are not part of the challenge and are of the slower side. I did it in double the time indicated on the guide because that's how good I am at platformers. Also, I'm about halfway through my first playthrough of Stray and while I like the game I think my cat might be in love. Unfortunately, that means that she is "helping" by either blocking the screen or attempting to use the controller, just to add a bit of difficulty.
