The PC version of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart features ray-traced reflections with a variety of quality levels to choose from and newly added ray-traced shadows for natural light in outdoor areas. This enables realistic shadows with natural gradients in softness*.

Support for 21:9, 32:9 and up to 48:9 resolutions for triple monitor setups. Both gameplay and cutscenes are optimized for ultra-wide screens. This is possible thanks to our engineers, artists and QA team who have analyzed the game and adjusted all cinematics to ensure compatibility with panoramic aspect ratios.

The game supports unlocked framerates and includes the latest performance enhancing upscaling technologies. You’ll be able to choose from NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, Intel XeSS and Insomniac Games’ Temporal Injection. NVIDIA Reflex and image quality enhancing NVIDIA DLAA are also supported.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on PC offers full mouse and keyboard support with customizable controls. Controllers are also fully supported, and when using a DualSense controller on a wired connection, you can feel in-game actions coming to life in your hands with haptic feedback and dynamic trigger effects.

It's absolutely great that the exclusives market is coming to an end. I was never in favor of exclusivity. The only thing keeping consoles safe is the exclusives market. Apart from being easy and practical to play on a console, nowadays consoles are less and less attractive.

For those of us who grew up on Playstation, there's a reason to keep going. I really like trophy hunting and I've been used to it for over a decade, so it's a big differentiator for me and that's why I enjoy playing on PlayStation.

That said, I don't see the need nor support that there are exclusives. Still,

I really admire Sony for considering gaming as an art form and making room for more conceptual and artistic games, this is admirable in a world where almost everything is generic and without substance.

the exclusivity window will shrink with time, I give them a year or 2, and they'll start releasing games on PC day and day. it's a good thing, though. owning a PC and a Steam Deck is like finally living the vision of the ps3/ps4 and the vita

Are you kidding?!

Of course people should be mad about this!!!!

Now that the character models will be on PC, ready and ripe for ripping…

…we all are being forced - FORCED - to live in a world where deepfaked Ratchet/Rivet Porn will exist!!

Definitely didn't need to know that today lol. They aren't even human to begin with, I don't understand what goes through the mind of the people that create these things.

I'm definitely all for more people getting to experience fun games. And tbh I don't know why people feel like this somehow makes the PS5 less valid. Not every exclusive will make it to PC, and the ones that do take a few years and usually have a sub optimal port.

Because previously Sony's popular first party exclusives granted the ponies bragging rights over the other platforms, but now that a lot of the exclusives eventually come to PC anyway that's no longer the case. Furthermore, PC has various graphical and quality-of-life options the PS5 does not and so PC players are arguably playing the better version of the game (The Last of Us Part 1 and Horizon Zero Dawn ports being the rare exceptions).

It's shocking how anti-playstation everyone is here especially since this a trophy site

It's like this everywhere these days. I'm a little surprised the PS5 has even sold as well as it has, considered how obsessed everyone is with PC and Switch.

Cool. I’ll still stick with my PS5 because I don’t have the money or the space for a state of the art PC and until Valve put an OLED screen on it (probably never) a Steam Deck doesn’t appeal to me much either.

It definitely isn't everyone, but yes, there are quite a few people around these parts who are always moaning about PlayStation and/or Sony. It's funny, because they willingly choose to stick around instead of just switching to another platform if they really find PlayStation to be so terrible. It's almost as if they're just talking out of their ass...

LOL at people mad at this

Exactly. Imagine being mad because other people get to enjoy an awesome game on their platform of choice. It's the kind of bad take you'd expect from console war losers on Twitter. Aside from that, there are multiple reasons why someone would buy a console over a PC. PlayStation's first-party games going to PC does not mean there's no longer a reason to buy a PlayStation. It's just total nonsense lol.

So guess the PS4 was the last real console. Really thought the Ps5 would be great on release. Now think I should have just when back to PC.

I'm done with console gaming now. Il save up for a new PC in a few years and go back to steam. Il just play my backlog till then. No point in given Sony more money.?

Also to those saying it's not that big a deal. If you can play all games on one platform. Why would you need any of the consoles? Other then the one that does it. Segmenting your own library for what?

Only Nintendo is left doing exclusives. And there so far being in tech. Anything they build will be hacked and emulated fast. I have no confidence that whatever there next system is. Won't have a working emulator within the 1st year of it release.

it just looks that way because real PlayStation fans are too busy playing new games on their PS5s to comment on basic PC ports of multi year old games at almost full price that you can get by the dozen on PS5 with 1 month of PS+

I always assumed this game wouldn't really go to PC due to the instant load times it had, so it's impressive they were able to do it. So does it just require the same style SSDs if you get the game on PC? I wonder what the minimum requirements will be :hmm:

Exactly, why would I bother with PC when I can play all my favorite games on playstation.
