However, I believe originally the game was released without trophies so if you don’t care about not having a trophy list for that game you can just not update it and play like that (not sure how well the game runs tho that way). Years ago I already got the platinum for Shining Resonance Refrain for PS4, the enhanced version released worldwide, I loved it so much to the point I decided to play the PS3 version released only in Asia lol. The game is completely in Japanese, but I still totally enjoyed it just like back in the day. First the standard bethesda glitchiness lets it down,especially eith the constant freezing. Then the main storyline is so barebones that you miss a large numbr of locations and quests. If I wasn;t playign it specifically for the platinum I would have not seen a whole load of the content which would be a huge shame. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons All 12 Trophies 15th April 2024 • Completed in 9 years, 5 months Finally got through the game and I see why people say that it has a lot of heart and a great delivery of loss. Final Fantasy XIII First trophy: 18th Oct 2020 Platinum trophy: 14th Apr 2024 Estimated time to completion: ~150h As the first mainline FF game to get a trophy list in this beautiful hobby of ours, it's also the first platinum I've achieved on the series. I started this game back in 2020, right after I got a new PS3 (the previous one died many years ago). I only beat the story back then, not wanting to grind for the platinum... and unfortunately, I forgot to back up my save, so when I decided to get the platinum, that meant starting the whole thing over. But fortunately for me, I liked this game enough for a second playthrough, and I'm really glad I did it. I never got to play FFXIII when it was released, but I was always charmed by its presentation. When I finally got to play it, I was blown away with how beautiful it was (even to this day), having one of the most satisfying combat mechanics of the franchise and a nice, touching story. And the soundtrack is a highlight as well! My only major gripes with this game are the pacing and the sidequests. The amount of backtracking for the sidequests (specifically the ones where I didn't get 5* and forgot to save beforehand) were really annoying, and the same goes for grinding that Adamantortoise all the way beack in Eden. I feel like there were a lot of ideas that didn't make the cut in the final version, and the game feels very incomplete as a result. Still, playing it twice (and reading some of the lore explanations/theories all over the internet) made me appreciate this game more. As for the next PS3 game, I'm holding off on starting a new one for a while. I'm focusing on a couple PS4/PS5 games at the moment, so I may go back to Red Dead Redemption and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, playing sparingly since there's nothing time consuming that needs to be done in these games. The story was unexpected, as were some of the twists during cases. Overall a nice experience, and I'll be looking for more detective games. I've also gone and looked at my games drawer, and found two more PS3 games. This was a VERY long time ago, when I was a literal child and had a different PSN account. I never came back to it, since I had already finished it, but it's been so long now that it felt like it was worth going back through on this account. And I'm glad I did! It was a really nostalgic trip through a game I used to really enjoy, and I had a great time with it this time too. I know it's a little divisive, and not for everyone, but I had fun anyway. Given how open world this game was, it took a little while. I have a bunch of games on my shelf that might theoretically be a lot faster. So bought some physical games, focussed on 'essentials' or ' director's cut' in order to get games with DLC on discs. I have most now I think. Remember Me - 11% => 100% Finished this one in 10 years and 2 months...the part were I was stuck when I stopped (chapter 3) was now 10 years later much easier (maybe thanks to the Dark Souls franchise?!?!) , it took some practice to get to know the controls again but than this game was rather easy on hard. Really had a blast. Game is a bit of a hidden gem with a decent story-line and a really interested combat system that you coudl adjust to your own style. Dishonored + DLC (2/3) - 20% => 88% Spend a lot of my PS3 playtime in the world of Dishonored. One of the best game franchises in my view. I did finish the story but was never bothered to go after the platinum. But now, 11 years and 5 months later, it happened! Got the platinum and finished two DLC's (and now Dishonored 2 makes more sense too 😀). This game is build for stealth and with crazy super powers (like possessing someone) you have a lot options in playing the missions. I still have trials of Dunwall left but with a 9/10 difficulty rate it doesn't attract me that much. Nevertheless I will give it a go while starting up another PS3 game... Status Next: - finish (?) My main focuses are the skits and monsters, but I think I'll get everything done this run except beating the final boss on unknown difficulty. I'll have to replay the whole game once again for that alone, but if I miss anything else at least I can grab those too. For now I got the trophies for cleaning up the coliseum with everyone and hitting 100 hrs played. Hopefully the May update will have me present to you all the plat. I would've had to really push to get close to the top spots so I'm happy with where I ended up. It's definitely not an easy game - one challenge in particular took about 10 attempts and there were a few other tough ones - but it's also kind of an overinflated rarity given the difficulty (probably around a 7/10) and time required. Plus there's no multiplayer besides an incredibly simple split-screen trophy. The only game left on my PS3 list with a higher plat rarity is UFC Undisputed 2009 (0.45 compared to 0.56 for this one). As for the game itself, I kind of like it. The campaign is way too long but it was a different sort of FPS I suppose. There was a good variety of rulesets and maps on offer, though the AI was truly dreadful. I am convinced that one map featuring 10 vs 10 players is completely broken - generally my entire team would die seconds into the match, forcing me to kill the entire enemy team alone. The only exposure I've really had to paintball was when it was in one of the Friday the 13th movies, and it was kind of funny to see real people in the loading screens for this game who looked exactly like the ones in that film. Looking ahead my next major PS3 project will be Backbreaker, but I will likely do some smaller stuff while working on it as it will be more of a grind! In particular I am likely to do Sniper Elite V2, Tomb Raider Legend, and the online for MX vs ATV Alive in the coming weeks.
