Do you think this will ever come to PC?

I really hope this comes to PC someday.

If Sony is willing to port their flagship series like God of War, Uncharted, Spider-Man, etc to PC, I don't see why they wouldn't put this one later on.

I kinda hope it does because this forced PSN sign-up drama that's happening with Ghost of Tsushima PC port is starting to get funny.

I'm sure it will, like Death Stranding that is another 2nd party game where Sony invested. Shift Up's previous game Goddess of Victory: Nikke has a pc port, and iirc in south korea they are much more used to play with pc than with console, unlike japan.

All Sony needs to get better at is not selling their multiplayer or live service games in places that don't allow for legitimate PSN account sign-ups when they are required.  It's amazing they wouldn't have any sort of foresight that this could have ramifications later on.

PC gamers will be used to various sign-ups, store fronts and launchers so a PSN sign-up is just another of those and actually a complete non-issue in and of itself imo.

I'm convinced that all PS5 games will come to PC with the exception of major flops like Destruction All-Stars and games that use PS5-specific tech like Astro's Playroom and possibly VR games.

The Stellar Blade IP is also to my knowledge owned by Shift Up rather than Sony which makes it even more certain.

Bloodborne or Demon's souls never made it to PC. Honestly, I think it's better for the console sales if they keep a few console exclusives. It's fine to give the left-overs to pc gamers after 2 or 3 years and keep some games strictly on consoles. Making every game available day 1 on pc is what killed the xbox one (who wants to buy a fat xbox one when you can play gow 4 with higher graphics and a mouse/keyboard combo to dominate the cross-platform multiplayer...)

I think it's safe to say the vast majority of Sony-owned PS5 IP will eventually make their way to PC, after a sufficiently long window of time of only being available on PS5 (probably 1 year at an absolute minimum, longer if the console version is still selling decently after the first year). It's the smart way to do it to keep the console relevant and maximizes software sales. Rockstar actually does the same thing (consoles first, PC later) to maximize sales, and they don't even have a console to support.

possibly VR games.

VR is niche across the board, so I agree this is less certain... however, wasn't there a story a couple of months ago that Sony was working on making the VR2 headset PC-compatible? If that follows through, then expect every VR game to make the jump as well.

Well, Demon's Souls already has an amazing port through emulation that blows even the remake away. However, I know what you mean: officially.

I also don't think Demon's Souls or Bloodborne will ever come to PC officially. The latter almost single-handedly being responsible for the PS4's success. That was a hardware manufacturers wet dream.

On topic: I'm currently working on a gaming Renaissance myself. I'm probably never going to pick up a ps5 due to the lack of true exclusives + price. I just can't justify paying $500 for what is essentially a trophy machine. That won't even break the bank for me. My spouse even said he'd buy me one for Christmas last year and I told him sternly, "you better not."

I'm going to work through my current catalog of games, which should take about 3-4 more years, then switch to PC full-time. So, I hope this trend of console manufacturers letting all their 1st party games go to PC continues.

Hope they pull all the PC ports off epic and steam or make them unoptomised as shit. Jim Ryan said ps5 will have more exclusives than any playstation

Why are you so insecure about other people getting to play those games?

It's less that people are insecure and more that people are taking the wrong message from these ports. There's an assumption that Sony will eventually stop supporting PlayStation and fully support Valve because of how well Ghost of Tsushima and Helldivers 2 did and this gets signal blasted in many social circles. There's also a habit of trying to associate Sony and Microsoft's actions as the same. So if Microsoft does something, this means that Sony is going to do the same thing. Currently Xbox hardware is on the brink of irrelevancy so many people are hoping Sony follows the same path. I generally take the PC only crowd with a grain of salt because Sony will have a new batch of exclusives by the time they give another round of PC ports. If you wait 2 years or more for a port, there's a real high chance that something else you want to play will be on another console by the time a port comes out.
