Popular Post da-Noob123
After nearly a month without a platinum, I managed 2 back to back this weekend. The first came Friday night with Wolfenstein The New Order, simply a great first person shooter that I really enjoyed. I'm considering the prequel The Old Blood and possibly The New Colossus though Mein Leibin is... daunting to say the least. Saturday, after 13 years and 5 months, I finally platinumed Final Fantasy XIII. In the end it was a good game but the 20 hours it takes to reach that point is a tough pill to swallow, especially for those with limited time, if you have said time and like Final Fantasy, give it a go.

Popular Post No longer here
#207 - Shadow Warrior 3 (PS5) Rating/Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 3/10 Time: 8 Hours PSNP Rarity: 42.31% PSN Rarity: 8.2% The first Shadow Warrior was a great game and I think it holds up well for the most part, this one is like a parody of the first game but saw that the gameplay looked really fun. And I was right the combat is the best part of the game but even then, near the 60% mark it gets repetitive as well, I will say the enemy designs and patterns were pretty solid though. The level design is good imo for the most and the platforming is decent nothing crazy. The plot doesn't really matter and the gore/dismemberment effects are not that good visually. However for a 6-7 hour campaign, I think its an alright game tbh, I think it's worth it for really cheap and if you want more Shadow Warrior in your life. The game could've been big if the gameplay loop was more deep and if the story had more thought into it. Because the FPS combat delivered for the most part, it could've been a great game if there was more content and effort put into it. #208 - Moving Out 2 (PS5) Rating/Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: 4/10 (Co-op) Time: 16 Hours PSNP Rarity: 4.88% PSN Rarity: 0.1% I was really excited to play this with some cousins and I will admit it was a great time despite some levels not delivering. I loved overcooked 2 and saw that this would be the equivalent amount of fun! The game is pretty fun and wholesome and delivered a great experience in co-op. The levels were nicely design and the time requirements were pretty lenient for the most part. You do have to communicate on what to deliver first and how to arrange them in the truck, it takes some thinking and it can rough sometimes trying to figure it out. On the later levels, there are other tasks that need more coordination such as holding a sliding door, battery for doors and turning wheels for turning or transportation. There are even breakable objects where you should always watch your step. There are "moving in" where you have to place the items in their respective spots in the house. These levels and other tasks were the game at its best, both coordination and communication was key for beating the time requirements. As great as the game was, the later levels became a drag and personally the last world and boss weren't good for me personally. It was a severe drop in the game for me and by then the game became a little more tiring. My group and I still had a lot of fun but we noticed the huge drop in quality towards the end of the game. Also while the levels are nicely designed, some are pretty much copy and paste, so you can see not a lot ideas came out of some of them. This is the main reasons why I gave the game a 7, my group agreed too, the game is tons of fun but gets less fun down the road. Now I got this game because of overcooked 2 and the fun I had, still one of my favorite co-op games ever. This title is a little bit of a letdown fun and enjoyment wise but ultimately I felt fulfilled with completing the story and plat. I can recommend this to fans of these types of co-op games especially if you liked overcooked!

Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #304 Final Fantasy II Master of II Earned all trophies Man nothing disappoints me more in these PR than this one. Because FFII is such an odd game, and they just kind of band aid “fix it” to remove any complexity to the system (ex; reduce physical attack stat when dealing magical damage) and tacking on HP (pretty sure precious ports had full level systems in addition but maybe it was just HP). you can turn the HP increase off, but it’s always been easy to cheese these stats. Even in the og. Just not all of them. I was massively OP on accident. But I kind of gave up dealing with ut since one tile off and you’re in a world of tough enemies and doom. which is actually kind of nice. Between all the classic games II has the best enemy layout for that reason. It feels more real that some areas would be harder than you can handle. Most games prevent progress and section it all off with mountains, rivers or whatever. I digress, back to stats. If *I* could have the perfect PR, of II in particular, I’d remake the system. Ditch the way stats work. Its dumb and with the modern “fix” it’s incredibly exploitable with zero downside. I’m not sure this is how III (or was it V…) worked but it seemed like it, that when you leveled as a certain job it increased different stats. that’s how I’d do it. Have leveling up, but base the stats around the current equipment. So it basically builds around you and what role you’ve set for each character. Keep the magic and weapon skill leveling the same but change how the weapon gains so you can naturally get ma instead of be forced to equip bad weapons and sit as everyone else heals/defends and thwack for 0-30 damage for an hour tough enemies. I get not wanting people to max out on Goblins, but man. If you one turn tough enemies you shouldn’t be punished by not earning weapon XP. story was fine, there was an attempt better than I and III to have some type of characters if “sister” “brother” “dumb guy” and “generic hero” count as characterization. It’s enough for the time period I suppose. And the side characters were decent. Albeit some weren’t around long enough imo. which leads me to character design of everyone but Firion in the main party. Maria is so boring to look at. Contrast with Leila who fits far more with a main party. Josef not so much. But the other side characters have much more interesting designs than the main party. the Iron Giant was a nightmare to get to appear. Took Leon from 5k HP to max HP. (Granted I did enable 4x at that point but still). I didn’t have it on for a long time and ended up OP anyway. The only struggle was new party members being weak af. Leon did no damage in the final dungeon because I couldn’t be bothered to do a fourth round of weapon skill maxing. I wouldn’t Say it’s outright bad, just too ambitious I think. They really tried something new. but I always have loved the idea of magic improving over use rather than being replaced by higher tiered spells. I will say getting Uktima at level 1 is goofy. It should’ve at least started at level 5, because seeing that iconic spell and one hyped by the plot do not even 100 damage with my strongest caster was laughable. oh speaking of magic, I love that each level of it has a different animation. There aren’t drastic differences each level but they do change once it ticks into a higher tier (where you could probably classify it as fira for example). It had a lot of neat stuff. Just a shame they don’t remake flawed stuff like this and improve it. We just get a bastardized version that lazily patches it to make it more palatable to the masses. At least with FFI they returned to the way magic worked instead of making it like more modern MP systems. one more to go, already got to the first Crystal. I already did it on PC so as soon as my classes are upgraded on goes 4x. Lol Edited September 5, 2023 by Elvick_

Gameplay is fun as always but some features from the previous games were missing making the game a bit more simple and basic. All the trophies are straightforward and there is no need for a guide at all. Completing the story and side missions will unlock everything in the game. I'm still missing the series spin offs (PSVita and PS4) and my plan is to get those as well at some point later this year.
Popular Post The Ordinary Bloke
Platinum #26 Hollow Knight - Heart of Hallownest Not my first rodeo with this game and thought I would speedrun the platinum this time to see what sort of time I could get with it. An enjoyable experience with plenty of content for fans of metroidvanias, with major difficulty spikes in some areas of the game. If you choose to use the invincibility glitch it will only aid in completing the platinum due to the sheer difficulty of the Pantheons. Having previously beaten the game without the glitch on another account, I can say I am not doing that again. The platinum walkthrough guide is a godsend for anyone who is looking for a pathway to get the platinum. I should have followed it again, but I thought I could put my big boy pants on and try and remember what I did previously... which led to me missing a portion of late game Mr Mushroom conversations. I will play the EU stack next and try and beat a sub 12 hour completion time, which I think I can find some time. Popular Post slender_adrian
#129 Difficulty: 5/10 Enjoyment: 8/10 Grind: 1/10 Time: 22 Hours Rarity: [Ultra Rare 1.9% / Very Rare 9.42%] "Steve" Horror and an incredible amount of goofiness, all that in this classic resident evil. This was my first time playing this game, and it was the experience. This is the goofiest re game I've played, there's a lot and when I say a lot is a damn lot of weirdness all over the place, you can tell is a resident evil game, so pretty fun. The gameplay is practically that of a classic re game, exploring and solving puzzles while saving resources, but compared to other classic re games code veronica gives you more ammo and that's because this is the game that started the change on the series. Code Veronica clearly had an action focus on its gameplay, so yeah the series started going for action 5 years before re4 came out. As for the story, Code Veronica is technically the 3rd game in the series since it follows the events of R.P.D after 3 months. The story is pretty solid for what it is, good characters and a nice plot overall. With that said, a remake... The Code Veronica is a classic resident evil and the potential this game has for a remake is insane and is probably the most wanted in the community right now. If Capcom made a good remake of this game, it literally would be absolutely incredible. This game without all the stupidity and with a serious tone would be incredible, it could be a the level of 2 remake without a doubt. I love the antagonists in this game, especially the twins. If Capcom continues the remake route, I would love to see Code Veronica, RE5 and RE in a "Chris and S.T.A.RS arc". This is a most play for re fans. But the trophies... Compared to the previous release on the ps3 the version of ps4 has a platinum trophy, which the ps3 version didn't. And my question is why this game got a plat but re4 didn't? Anyway, the trophies for Code Veronica are simple but not that easy to get. There are 2 particular trophies that really made me suffer and are the only ones you should really worry about, one if for beating the game under 4 hours to get A rank and the other is for completing battle mode with Wesker. Beating the game under 4 hours while getting A rank is not that hard, but you can only save once in this run since the game is divide in 2 parts, so you can save in between, meaning that if you die you'll go back to the beginning of the part and start from scratch, I haven't been this anxious in this type of runs in a while, since this game has parts where you can die one shot, there's one in particular that's literally scarier than any boss in the game and that is near the end of the game where if you get nervous and mess up you'll die. I screw up a lot in this run, thankfully there's a glitch for health that makes this run much more manageable. Another tip for the speedrun or the game in general, the game's timer don't stop even if you pause the game or even in loading screens, but you can actually stop the game's timer by pushing the ps4 home button on your controller, this will stop the game and the timer, meaning you can take as much time to follow a guide or take a brake without losing time, this works 100%. But the biggest gap between you and the platinum is completing Battle Mode with Wesker, this is the hardest part without a doubt. Battle mode is the same for all characters, the only change is the boss at the end, and for Wesker you'll have to complete it with only the damn knife, this is a mode where the only way of beating it is just getting good at it as well getting good with the knife. Completing it took me around 5 hours, at the begging I was really pissed off by that mode, but the more you play the better you get, so I had to enter the pro hardcore gamer mentality to actually beat it... nahhh I just coated myself in patience and took breaks. I was playing for like 3 hours going nowhere since I couldn't past the last room, then I took a 40 minutes break and on my 3rd or 4th attempt I got it. It's a mode of constantly trying and getting used to that knife. Totally worth getting this plat, is was fun, frustrating and satisfying. Now that my head is cool off I can say I really liked going for this plat. Totally recommend it! (The EU version is significantly harder since it runs slower so heads up, I read is very hard getting some battle modes levels because of loading screens). 2 MORE PLATS REMAINING... Popular Post Rias Gremory
Platinum #176 Prototype 2 Remastered PS4: James Heller Has No Chilled Uncommon: 26.87% Difficulty: 3/10. Enjoyment: 10/10. Challenge: 9/10. Music: 8/10. Story Mode: 8/10. Widespread/Explosion/Violence: 9/10. Genre: Platform, Hack and Slash, Beat em up, Adventure, Action, Comedy, Murder, Death, Science Fiction, Survival, Sandbox, Open World, Blood and Gore. Grind Difficulty: 4/10. Platinum Time: 1 day and 4 hours. Prototype 2 Remastered PS4 Recapped and Summary. This is when I also earned my Platinum Trophy back in late 2020 and if you already knew then I don't have to repeat myself. I'll cut right to the chase. I have to say that this game right here is much easier then the first sequel created. I really like James Heller's funniest quotes on enemies, getting mocked by other civilians and mostly he hates computers. I do feel their is abit of comedy in the open world game and the whole game evolves around new areas and also familiar areas as well. Hahahaha I will admitted that James Heller is one crazy funny son of a bitch and definitely fits the payroll and also how he doesn't take shit from any and all assholes. He certainly has patienced and determination to take on anything that throws at him entirely. Weapon Upgrades at Fully Maxed Summary. James Heller's arsenal has quite a better in his weapon collection. It feels much better and easier to use whether it's slicing and dicing on enemies, masquerade and butchering enemies and plenty much more to add on. I really like how it adapts and properly executed enemies and bosses at any point to the game. I have maxed out all the badass weapons from start to finished and it wasn't that tough thanks to quick farming and chewing up all the good pieces and added to my collection. I really like this game better then the first sequel. Latching on choppers and blowing them up is definitely a great choice to kill not just that but also other vehicles included. Gathering Collectibles and Completing Side Quests. Well getting collectibles in hidden areas looks easy as hell and I never had any problems with it and not even the slightest one bit. I had to keep digging and digging through unknown areas on the map until I know what it is and how to obtained it. But I still remembered how to get them all and finally I have done it and collected every single one of em. Here's the fun part. Completing side quests was really hilarious and it's really funny how James Heller gets easily offeneded and goes AWOL on those assholes who says "BRUH" and other offensive insults that he can hear over the radio walkie talkie and other devices. I have ticked off everything on the list and I'm very happy that I did it. Platinum Trophy! Follow Your Nose Trophy! Cannonball Trophy! Finally Full Trophy! The Floor Is Lava Trophy! Highly and strongly recommend this game! Next Platinum Goal: ???

Popular Post Elvick_
Platinum #305 Final Fantasy Master of I Earned all trophies. Did it on PC already so just dumped 4x for most of the game. Was 99 by the end. I believe on PC I struggled at the final boss and had to grind. Took me 17 hours and change there. Half that this time around lol. As much as I dislike the system, I’m glad they returned the original MP/magic system to how it was. It’s more true to the game. The game gets easy when you can easily afford items to substitute magic. And ethers being purchasable items early on makes it all the easier. Plus tents and such. Imagine doing I-III dungeons with no save spots inside and no quick saves. Oof. I remember on PC it was still easy to afford items so it was easy until the last boss. Made easier with no missables (thank god), and the map kills exploration which is 80% of the difficulty on dungeons. obviously you can not use it, but sometimes a QoL feature just turns into a cheat and kind of ruins things like level design. So while handy and I’m not knocking it’s inclusion, to be on by default is bizarre to me. And odd how easily accessible it is (and how ut makes certain games items/magics redundant as they were for seeing a map). Anyhoo, it’s basic if modernized a bit. It’s a solid game and it clearly did the right things to end up spawning the franchise that it is today (as flawed as it may be.. then again, FF has always had flawed entries so I guess it’s true to itself in a weird way). Ive never liked the upgraded class sprites. They look odd to me maybe it’s just how used to the other style I am? Every time I play an update of this, I kind of wish they’d just do a Mega Man style collection. Just add the roms into an emulator on a disc. I want to experience the true to form original. Black boxes and all that for this one. I just think it would be neat to have that officially. Of the PR I think this is probably the least offensive. It restores elements lost from past versions. Whereas II didn’t. And we never got III outside this and the 3D remake on DS which is a shame. I have so many ideas on how this idea of PR could go but I’ve talked about it before. I am thrilled to be done with the Pixel Remaster countdown. I was iffy during V, because some of the spawns. And while there were some far worse ones in II and I, they had more clear areas to get them. In the end my order shifted slightly VI > V > IV > III > I > II whereas before IV was second, and I was last. II I like more story wise, but the mechanics just suck in the updated and original. I already talked about it in my last post so I’ll not repeat. idk if the music is glitchy but one of the early town songs sounded like it was from the classic version. But I can’t recall if it was just bad. I played on Pc before they added the original OST so it’s been awhile since I heard the original. Now what? Who knows. My play some licensed trash that was added on PS Catalog because they’re sometimes fun. Cheers to anyone who read any of these posts. It was a journey. They’re certainly not a bad way to experience any of the games, but I’m still let down. Particularly over price and lack of wide physical versions.
