I only have one question though

Why is everybody in FRANCE talking with a British accent?

because it's the most common language in the world. if they will make a game set in china/mexico/nepal/russia/india, the characters will speak english, no matter what

True but in every other AC game they spoke at least with an accent common in that country. At least give their english a french accent.

One of the trophy's so far has glitched on me. This is Master Architect where you fully upgrade the Cafe Theatre. I reported this issue to Ubisoft, their response was that trophy glitches aren't a known issue and that no other player has experienced this issue...yet there are many forums on ubiforums that state otherwise.

I love the AC franchise but it's got to a point where they are ignoring they're consumers and the reason why they originally bought these games. They've done 5 patches since release yet have still failed to address all the issues like getting stuck on NPC's/NPC's appearing through the floor or floating,  or Arno not moving as you would expect him to up and down a building etc. It doesn't need to be a game that has an annual release like COD, especially when they had changed the system of how the game works i.e. new movement. we waited years for a new GTA from Rockstar and 5 is the greatest yet.

Future AC games need to revert back to modern day and the first civilization which had been an interesting aspect of the AC games and ties storylines. I no longer want to be a faceless Abstergo employee. I kind of enjoyed the story to Unity but when you think of past AC games it doesnt really tie in like Altair and Ezio and then the Kenway bloodline. I personally think Rogue did a better job of storytelling even though it was a very short game for its price.

MP wise, coop is a good idea with a group of friends but can be very frustrating with randoms. Personally I think the coop makes the game more limited to how often you play it after you complete the story and the coop missions x3. I miss the old MP (mainly because I was good at it) because it had that prolonged 'playability' to the game and was more enjoyable than watching players run to an objective and tear the place up. It stayed true to being like an assassin as being silent scored more points etc. I hope that they can combine the two aspects in future games so you have the option of the coop missions or normal MP.

Aside from all the negative, there is still so much to do in the game like the paris stories and murder mysteries if you choose (not needed for a trophy so i dont bother). Paris is beautiful and I love that the city feels alive with the NPC conversations and that you'll find them doing different things. The rifts are an interesting idea and I think its great you get to travel to different time periods especially during the war.

I just hope that Victory can be like Blag Flag, II or Brotherhood in terms of its character and storyline and revamp the series.

I'm quite fond of the gameplay.

Let be noted that it took me less time to finish the game and some sidemissions than it took all the updates to install.

So my experience has rather been raw, few glitches, few restarts, nothing that made me think the product is so very unfinished.

I'm used to games like Fallout crashing on me.

So I like the gameplay, loved the custom gear.

The story is rather short, but they probable try to compensate this with tons of side missions.

The map is very impressive, the graphics on my normal HD-Ready TV are quite pleasant.

I'm looking forward to doing every quest, armor isn't my incentive anymore since I own very strong armor and weaponry.

The game was a lot more difficult for me, which I really liked.

I died a lot, having to restart missions, finding alternate ways to assassinate a target, ...

It's fun because other games were often to easy. Getting killed in Rogue was rather a rarity.

So I loved how trial-and-error got into this game.

PS: Elise was so lovely

Well I've come back to Platinum AC Unity, in my opinion it's a fantastic AC and the only thing I didn't like was the amount of whingers on it's release, Oh Shock and Horror, someones released an unfinished title ;) I had finished this game the day before the patch that had improved the game. I got stuck once before hand, only once.

I liked that game also, I didn't have any real issue or glitchs.

Plus:

- Co-op mode is really fun (better than the multi in previous AC games) and not mandatory since you can perform all the missions solo if you want

- Animations are verrryy well made and graphics in general are nice

- Combats are more challenging than previous AC games

- Paris stories and murder mysteries are nice and add a few hours of gameplay (but they (paris stories) does not count toward any trophies)

- Tailing missions are better designed than before (you can loose the target and not immediately fail)

Down

- Too much collectibles, the map at the beginning is so overcrowded

- The cannot block/evade gun shots, so basically kill the guys with the gun first or try to finish the fight before you run out of health

- Nostradamus enigma (although it's very personal, some people like them)

- The compagnion app and in game real money items

Well I did get the platinum, I had collected most of the cockades and chest already so that wasn't so bad. I didn't do the %100 until last for the campaign and playing sequences after the last patch was a much better experience. The 1 time I did get stuck was an Enigma quest, I had to youtube at least %50 of those anyway so I kind of deserved it.  I started playing Rogue last night and noticed I have  one of Arno's sword sets and one a few Edward add ons. Anyway, the online was a blast as well, the mp trophies seemed to happen naturally.

Story wise it's on par with AC2 and AC4 in my opinion, it was a really fun and well written story.I only have one question though

Why is everybody in FRANCE talking with a British accent?

I was thinking the exact same thing throughout the entire game.

because it's the most common language in the world. if they will make a game set in china/mexico/nepal/russia/india, the characters will speak english, no matter what

You must have misread the post you're quoting. He never said anything about them speaking english.

the world looks great, story was decent.... but jeebus lorenzo is this game frustrating... trying to drop down is a 5 minute task and getting into a window is harder than a 13 year old who just discovered porn... game crashes, gets laggy, the parkour or whatever you want to call it is annoying because Arno doesn't listen to what I control him to do... might as well push every one hoping he picks the correct command.... also was that many chest really needed for the trophy... bleh.. quit pushing out a game a year or in this case two and take your damn time and make one fantastic one.... don't care if i have to wait 3 years...

Harder than a thirteen year old the just discovered porn, eh? Lmao, almost a year later and the window thing still isn't fixed. That shit is frustrating as hell when you're in a hurry too.

I haven't had any glitches, but that's why I tend to wait a year to play most games. Gives developers time to fix the stuff that should've been right before it was released and I get a nice price drop. ;)

Edit: Overall, I like Unity so far. Ubisoft is going to be hard pressed to do better than Brotherhood in my eyes. Anything is better than AC3 though.

Edit 2: I've completed almost everything besides the DLC and collectables. The story missions were good. However, the parkour and combat are just awful and the co-op and heists felt unfinished and tacked on at the last minute. I think it's glaringly apparent that Ubisoft needs to their devs to spend more time on their games before releasing them. While Unity isn't the snafu that was AC3, it could've been much better.

I haven't gone anywhere close to beating Unity but I've poured in a few hours into it.

It's the best graphical Assassins Creed game to date since it was made for next-gen consoles and modern custom PCs. However even as it's been a year since it's release (I too typically wait a year to buy and play games), it still doesn't feel anything close to glitch free. Arno immediately reminded me of young Ezio from Assassins Creed II. The young, arrogant but charming ladies man that Ubisoft apparently likes. I just hope that Syndicate has two playable characters who break away from that and are more engaging.

I can't comment on the story since I haven't played much at all. But honestly though if Ubisoft wants to make their games better, I really think they need to stop releasing the Assassins Creed games annually. I understand they are a huge corporation who are all over the place, but it becomes apparent when they rush games out the door to meet a poorly implemented deadline.

I love this game. The story is awesome; it makes sense and is completely clear. The idea that you can finish the missions in different ways makes it only more interesting. Appearing Assassin inviting you to multiplayer game is a great idea. The mp itself - IMHO brilliant - giving lots of possibilies of cooperation. Building new skills during gameplay, choosing weapons and finally customizing Arno are also advantages of the game. I don't mind the combat style either. What bothers me (beside glitches) is the difficulty of controlling Arno, especially while jumping over objects and climbing windows but I guess that's typical for Assassins ;-)
