You gonna show the failed attempts? I kinda interested in seeing them now you're talking about it like that :P

I think I'll keep them a secret. Writing down all 25 or 30 failed attempts is a lot of unnecessary typing on a phone and the mystery adds to the allure of the event. :D

Okay, here's a small pinch to wake everyone up and hopefully tide them over until we can finally get this show on the road.

The selections are all done, except for one person that needs to get back to me.

I can tell you this, the fact that we've made it this far should be seen as nothing short of a frickin' miracle. Not only is it the busiest personal schedule I've ever had, but there's also the two factors of (1.) This is the most error-filled batch of suggestions in the history of The Lottery (not saying consoles, sending incomplete lists, suggesting ineligible games, etc) and (2.) The RNG process is being a naughty, little bugger.

An example of the lists: we all got a copy of the same suggestion questionnaire; one of the responses I received literally said "3 PS3 games." and nothing else. Not even joking. :giggle:

RNG? Almost every single one of the 10 participants needed 2+ retries before landing on a suggested game they haven't already played. A few even made it to 4 and 5 retries! wtf :|

So, to recap; I'm wicked busy + your guys' lists failed + RNGsus is being a jerk = omg will this friggin' thing ever start? :jaymon:

In the meantime, I've chosen my #hairswish. This is me walking down the hallways of the PSNP Community Events Forums (loss of balance and lame attempt to look sexy included).

To be fair I have 45 games on my profile and literally only 3 of them had plats and 2 were from PS+ so umm yeah.

ef will post the lineup in a couple hours. Then you'll have a week or two to buy your game, unless you're lucky enough to have it sitting in your unplayed backlog.

Well, we're finally here, eh?

It's The Lottery's 1 year anniversary and feels like it's been twice that long just getting this event's damn list assembled. :lol:

I really like the feel of this event. We've got an excellent balance of countries represented, male and female participants, consoles selected and games suggested.

My earlier blurb about lists and RNG was going to be included in this post, but I thought the list was going to take forever, so I spilled some of the beans early. Now this post looks pretty thin, relative to previous instalments' announcements.

So, without further ado... (insert drumroll here) :awesome:

6. Edunstar84 is to play Remember Me on PS3.

4. NerdRage04 is to play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PS4.

1. effdeegee is to play Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland on PS3.

10. Mesopithecus is to play LittleBigPlanet on PS Vita.

5. MarkusT1992 is to play Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Remastered on PS4.

9. ee28max is to play Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments on PS3.

3. Chemergy is to play Final Fantasy X HD on PS Vita.

7. Cassiopria is to play OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood on PS4.

8. HcG Clawz is to play RAZING STORM on PS3.

2. Quikdrawjoe is to play Sword Art Online: Lost Song on PS3.

3 neat facts about the process:

1. Mesopithecus needed 5 attempts to score LBP on Vita. All 3 PS4 suggestions (one being LBP3) and the first Vita suggestion were all played. Oddly enough, LBP was the only LBP left to choose from. Takes 5 attempts and it just happens to be the only unplayed LBP.

2. I had to go back and ask ee28max for 3 more PS4 choices due to the fact that A. The random person he was paired with (Markus) had already played all 3 of his suggestions and B. I couldn't RNG a different console list because it was the only console Markus had. The random person you're paired with only has the one console and all 3 are already played. Poor ee must've been losing his mind with the landslide of private messages back and forth; "Nope, forgot this. Need more info. Wrong game. Pick 3 more." :giggle:

3. I swear, as God as my witness, Clawz got RAZING STORM first shot. RNG PS3. RNG first game listed. Bang. Bang. Imagine; even with all of the ridiculous RNG wankery during this instalment and Clawz gets the first attempt, even while already having played 444 games. The sp00ky part? 10 minutes earlier, we had a joke going in the chat box about "whoever gets paired with Joe will probably get RAZING STORM ahuehuehue." I'm not even kidding. RNG shenanigans, 444 games, first shot, game that we spoke about a few minutes before. :jaymon:

On the bright side it has 40 UR trophies so it's good for the UR trophy league. What was that you said about definitely annihilating whatever game you got this lottery?

Pretty happy with my game choice ^_^  It's not one that I have but I'm sure I can pick it up for cheap enough and it will complete my LBP collection :D

Honestly, a great selection of games. The only one I haven't or wouldn't want to play is Razing Storm. The game just looks terrible to me, and all that online grinding... No thank you.

I'm sure it's posted somewhere but I can't find it at the moment. Say I had participated and got Uncharted Remastered. Would you have skipped it and assigned something else since I have the original plat?

Edit: don't forget to post your game title when giving updates so all your fans and other participants know wth you're talking about. :)

84 trophies and an ultra rare platinum :D

 

Feeling pretty hyped to play my game and over the moon I got a Vita game as it doesn't get enough love <3

the marvel dlc for lbp vita got delisted I think

Eff....I was wondering if I could ask you something with regards to my game.  It looks as though the DLC has been de-listed so 100% isn't possible anymore :(

 

In the grand scheme of things, it's not a big deal and I'll happily buy and play/platinum the game on the Vita, but I was wondering if it would maybe be possible for me to play the PS3 version instead?  

 

It's perfectly fine if not as I'm aware the RNG process has already caused you somewhat of a headache, but I thought I'd be cheeky and ask.

 

I'd even take on a second game as punishment  :ninja:
