Well, I was kind of interestd in Xenoblade 2 anyway and am a huge Metroid Prime fan. This isn't even a contest anymore.

Warriors orochi 4 has been proven to be not censored, it's the 60 fps that glitched the animations and thats why the switch is the only platform without the "removed" jiggle because it runs at 30 fps

You can force 30 fps on pc and then you get the same as the switch version.

Sony of Japan is asking Japanese developers to seek approval only in English?  DAFUQ.

 

It would be less bad if Sony restricts games in question, such as SKBRN, to a PSN digital-only (but uncensored) release rather than totally refusing the uncut version.

I sure hope we'll see Sony backpedal on their asinine policy, like SNK did when they brought an uncensored M-rated Samurai Shodown V Special to PS4 last year (but let's hope it doesn't take THAT damn long!).  Before this, they did previously censor the Neo-Geo home cart version in light of the Sasebo slashing.

Perhaps it's time to force nintendo into making a trophy like system, They have changed their stance on many other things they once said they would never change.

Sony looks to only care about the big name titles and indies. RDR II has many elements which are way more offensive (Depending on your views) but if Sony were to tell Rockstar to remove stuff from the game while Xbox would allow it to stay this would be the end of Sony.

Why not Steam? It's selling everything, including explicit porn games, and has cheevos too. But, yeah, definitely not going to give Sony a single cent from now on.

I too am considering going back to steam, the only reason I focused on sony was the exclusives, of which most have been ported to PC (i.e: Disgaea, Trails of Cold Steel....etc), and since it appears more BS laws and regulations are to come, I guess it's maybe time to abandon the soon to be a sunken ship.

Two reasons:
The first I don't agree with having to download a program that just sits there in only to run games, With this I also still rather a physical version then a digital as well, But if Steam did a stand alone download for games even if it is DRM or similar I would give them a little more support.

The second reason is I watch all my media on Laptop/PC, my job is always on a laptop/PC it just feels like a release when I can play a game away from a device I spend so much time on a week

All pc games have a distribution platform now, whether it's origin, microsoft store, steam, battle.net, etc

 

Besides there's nothing wrong with steam, it's a really nice platform

Looks like the fire is spreading faster than I thought. This new policy of theirs is going to end up backfiring in their face sooner or later. Policing sexual content in their homeland will only end affecting potential sales hard as they try to please a group of people that are clearly not into gaming or into the hobby in general and that, in the long run, won't provide them with any financial support. I find it hilarious that western games that include more sexually suggestive material or levels of untold violence get approved but some panties and cleavage on a drawing is way too much. Like, who comes up with this stuff?

 

 

At that point, they could just change this image into a blank slide and call it a day. So much censorship actually hurts my eyes. There is really nothing to see here >.<

 

And for the record, I am fine with sex and violence in video games just as long as the content is rated and played by individuals that are mature and level-headed enough as to process said content. Porn game sound strange, maybe Eroge is a better word  keep in mind that if you want play games on steam you must have also a PC/laptop with the capacity to run videogames, and we are talking about around 600 ~ 900$ + xbox controller, of course if you want play only visual novels/eroges with a decent pc/laptop you are fine.

Oh that is true, I almost forget you can use playstation controller on steam. But no, I mean if you want play other kind of game like jrpg on steam you need a PC that can help you to find a better experience, usually people who play on PC change one or two things to improve the expereince. But to me the best bet if we are talking just for visual novels or eroges is buy a windows tablet and play VN to go without remote programs like Splashtop.

Really depends on the hardware on the tablet, some visual novels that have animations chug heavily on tablets if their hardware isn't really good

I don't play them and I am not really into them, BUT as a fellow gamer that really fucking cares about what other gamers find appealing in their genres, I am 100% against this shit. Ummm... well of course it depent a lot of which tablet you buy, but usually you don't  need a Surface pro in order to play only VN. The VN/Eroge that you can't play on any tablet are games like Kamidori or any vn with RPG mechanics.
