New update 1.10 unlocks all specialists for Blackout

This is quite disappointing, all im missing is 5 characters (battery, Firebreak, prophet, Nomad and Diego). At first it seemed taunting and impossible but just put some hours in the game, you should get those characters.

except the whole purpose of trophy hunting is to be challenged and accomplished for unlocking a trophy, not to have it handed to you for logging into a game.  If you can't go out and find a way to earn a trophy you pretty much should stick to mayo and massagy in the 1st place.  why anybody would have played this game if they just wanted it all handed to them in the 1st place is beyond me.

I totally agree with Steel5burgh. It wasn't impossible in the first place... it just takes time, great setup and luck. Oh well, players who actually grinded for these trophies, its really unfair for them. This is just specialist characters, better not pull this move again for Zombie or Blackout characters.

it's still an achievement.  Time stamps will always separate who actually went out and did it and those who just logged in for their free trophy.   I have well over 500 hours in the 100% for Black ops 4.  I can promise you as much as I love being challenged a bit with the COD games I'm finished with Treyarch.  Fuck them.   For the people that think this is a good thing they are what's wrong with the trophy hunting community.  If you don't want to go out and be challenged with your games, play bullshit and stay away from games like this.  Plain and simple.  I actually feel worse for people who were close to the achievement and still working toward it.  My time stamp shows how and when I got mine.  Could give a shit about the ultra rare.  They will most likely do this for the blackout and zombie charactrs on down the road.

Blackout's 1/3 of the game, you shouldn't have gone for the platinum if you don't like a third of the game. This is a slap in the face by Treyarch, so stop defending them.

So we are complaining that we wasted our time but at the same time other people can't have the trophy because it has to feel like you actually achieved it? pick a side people, i personally got it legit myself but i've met plenty of other people who are just as determined as me but just aren't good at blackout and i'm really happy for them.

Boohoo. I'm a zombies player. I shouldn't have to be forced to unlock characters for a gamemode I don't like. Blackout isn't in any of the Black Ops games, so why should I care if a trophy for it pops?

Just because it's a new mode in the franchise doesn't mean it's not part of the game, every platinum should force you to play every big mode in that specific game. The trophies aren't hidden, you knew what you were getting into, stop complaining or don't go for the platinum, referencing what you said earlier

How am I complaining? I'm glad the trophy pops. I have no plans for going for the plat, but if the blackout trophies were out of the way, then I would find it likely eventually. This update is great for me, so only you are complaining here. Should the characters unlock without any effort? No. But, am I going to complain about 3arc? Also no. Maybe calm down, and just be glad people can get one trophy, and not all of them. Be glad you put in the work for it, so that you earned it fair and square, but don't blame me or anyone else for taking advantage of the update.

never complained that I wasted my time.  Only made a statement about how much time the game takes.  Only complaint is that the achievement gets watered down and people think it's some great thing.  So why are you happy for the people that aren't good enough to earn the trophy?  Isn't that the purpose of the game to earn it?  if you are not good enough then either get good or play something else.  I'm actually  not a zombie player.  Does that mean I should auto pop zombie trophies for logging onto the game?  No.  If I can't figure out how to get the achievement then I don't deserve the 100%.   Getting the character unlocks isn't necessarily about being good anyway.  it's more about time and persistence. Sure skill helps but it wasn't a prerequisite.  

 

It's like someone who collects a welfare check every month who sits around and advocates for welfare.  Sure they have an opinion but it's biased as all hell.  As far as i'm concerned biased opinions count for shit.  If you're actually advocating that watering down other peoples hard earned achievements is ok because it's beneficial to you because you suck thats what i'm complaining about.

Couldn’t have said t any better myself. If I can’t get a trophy or don’t want to put in the time and effort to get one I move on to something else. Trophy hunting is suppose to be a challenge and this platinum was suppose to be as well. But of course everyone that sucks at the game had to bitch and moan to treyarch and this shit happens. Gotta love those participation trophies...

Guess i can stop going for battery and prophet as those were the only 2 specialists left that i needed

 

now i just need for this update file to finish

 

after that, if this thread holds truth to it, ill just need Reznov, Shaw, Scarlet and Bruno and these blackout trophies will be checked off the list for me

 

i unlocked everyone else so them giving me 2 characters isnt that big of a deal for me, it was only a matter of time before i got them on my own so whatever

it's the world we live in today.  Everybody celebrates a participation award like they achieved something.

I don't have any complains, is still the easiest of the 3 character trophies IMO. They said that players that already unlocked those characters will obtain free skins so you can brag online how dedicated you are, I wished they increase the spawn rate of the character items because I have more than 60 hours in Blackout mode and I only found 5 character items and only unlocked 2 specialist which in my opinion are the easiest ones. A better option was as soon you find the specific character item the challenges remains active until you unlocked that character, in that way the challenge is still there but still will make you work for it. Oh and did I mention that the other 3 times I found the character items the partners killed me just because they wanted the item too?
