FreeSpark22
Update - Week 4 This week I managed to finish off Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Quite an enjoyable game, but similar issues I had with first one. The lack of impact from the choices you make and really the lack of needing to actually DO anything in the game. The story was pretty good but probably would have worked just as well as an animated series than a game. I have also put a few hours into starting 'I Am Setsuna' which so far seems like a very good homage to the old school JRPGs. The skill and combat system seems interesting and hopefully will be quite deep as I progress more into the game. Original post has been updated with new %s.

Nightmare at Northpoint was actually pretty fun, though the Gold stats are ever so slightly high, on at least one of them, and it makes the end game grind a little on the absurd side. Year of the Snake was ok at it's best moments. The story isn't particularly good but some of the missions and favors were kind of funny. I wouldn't call it a must play in either instace but if you go for one and only one I'd recommend Nightmare.

Popular Post AuroraHistoire
I Enjoyed the Firefly Game more than the Game Where You Constantly Set Everything on Fire This week I completed Just Cause 3, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone, Everybody's Golf and htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary. I guess this has been a fairly decent week. A few titles were a bit boring at times. htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary is a flawed masterpiece. The Firefly Diary is a horror puzzle game that is basically one long escort quest. You play three characters at once while you slowly walk through areas and try not to die. Mion is a little girl who walks slowly, can push boxes, climb things that are waist high, climb ladders, activate objects and sit. You don't control Mion directly, instead you control a green firefly named Lumen. Lumen controls the camera and Mion will always try her hardest to get as close to Lumen as possible, unless commanded to set down. Mion is basically a cat that is very determined to catch a laser pointer. You control Lumen via the touchscreen. The controls work well enough most of the time but sometimes Mion has trouble with boxes and ladders. You also control Umbra at times. Umbra is a purple firefly that lives in the shadows. You activate Umbra with the back-touchscreen When you activate Umbra, time stops and you're allowed to move Umbra via shadows and activate objects Mion can't reach. Sometimes Umbra doesn't activate the object you select and you frantically try to activate Umbra again but there is a 1 second cooldown so sometimes you're too late and Mion dies. You should get used to Mion dying because it happens a lot. Mion dies in one hit but the respawn times are short and checkpoints are well placed. The trophy for dying 100 times is easy tho. Part of the fun of The Firefly Diary is figuring out the plot. The game only tells you the names of the characters you control. You have to figure out the rest through environmental storytelling and collecting the optional plants that contain parts of the plot. Switching songs to Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Future Tone. The game is really good and I had a great time. Future Tone is basically a combination of all the other Hatsune Miku games that is sold in 2 massive DLC packs with 14 additional songs spread across 4 additional packs that feel overpriced. There are a total of 236 songs (including 14 additional DLC songs), so it took me 2 long play sessions across 2 days to get through the bulk of the songs. Future Tone keeps it content to the rhythm game that people actually like and has no extra modes with awkward petting. The rhythm game is mostly the same but has a few changes that make the game a bit awkward to play on a standard PS4 controller. Trying pressing at the same time. Imagine having to do that in a fast paced rhythm game. Fortunately, the game let's you bind that particular input but I had trouble any time I had to press 2 or 3 buttons at once. Other then a few complaints, I had a really nice time. Just Cause 3 was a overall mediocre game on the good side but was boring 90% of the time. I actually forgot I finished Just Cause 3 this week because it was so forgettable. I found the races enjoyable when the vehicle controls cooperated but everything else was okay or just bad. GerritSlak
1 month done and 0 games complete. Still have lots to do in Assassin´s Creed Odyssey but with 11 months left to complete I should be fine. With Jetpack Joyride I only need 25 days of the S.A.M. challenge so I should be done at the end of this month. See you next month with another update.

Han_the_Dragon
A bit earlier, but I think that my week is done, as far as this event is concerned (will be playing stuff to clear up, and will likely start something for me to complete next weekend, but I'm starting to be pressed by my 225 plat spot...) Anyway, for my report, I finished a second letter, with My Hero One's Justice.. igs63
Weekly Update #3! This week I finished off Guardians of the Galaxy, locking in my 3rd platinum for the event. I've been sitting on this game forever but surprised that I did end up delay playing it for so long, it was quite enjoyable! I've otherwise been working again on Stranded Sails, when I wasn't distracted by some other titles this week, such as the new Journey to the Savage Planet, which has been quite fun! If I have time to play it, I'll likely have Stranded Sails finished by next week too, as I'm very close to finishing. I've reached the point of no return in the story so I'm just cleaning up a few collectibles, levelling up crew happiness, etc etc before I trigger the end of the story. There's also a few combat arena trophies, which involve surviving waves of enemies at different difficulties. I've done the easy level already, which required surviving to wave 100. I don't think the other 2 will be hard, so much as darn tedious. It took about 30-40 minutes of X mashing combat to get the first one. I'll likely get something new started in the next week too. Deliberating over whether I should knock out another easy title or start something that's going to take a bit longer... hm... Popular Post Andrea9281
Have been busier than usual for the last week so the progress has slowed a bit compared to previously. The only game I actually played in this time was Killzone, which I've moved from 0 all the way to 41%. I've completed the entirety of the co-op and about half of the first campaign playthrough, and have also finished the weapon grinding in multiplayer. Some of the ability grinding in MP looks to be a proper pain though so it will probably be a slow process of doing it off and on throughout the month. My goals for the coming week are to hopefully be able to set up boost sessions for games on the list I've not yet started, finish Killzone's campaign, and make a push towards finishing GTA IV's story. TheIndru
Quick question: One of my games is Blacksad, but apparently there is an issue with some of the trophies, which renders them unlockable. I checked and nobody seems to have platinum on this one. Someone on Reddit told me they opened a ticket to the developer, and the developer stated they will release a patch, with no ETA though, so I have no clue if it's real or just something to shut him down. If nothing seems to change six months from now or so, will I be allowed to switch this game to another? TBH I hope they fix it, because I started playing the game and it's nice, I'd love to get platinum on this one, but thought I'd ask to make sure. Anyway, I see people around here being 7-8 games in, and I barely got time to complete AC: Syndicate. I am playing "I Am Setsuna" now, as I switched over from Blacksad. Popular Post brejdak93
Finished one of my longest games in the list - Witcher 3 which took me about 100 hours. For the main game I pretty much did 100% - all side quests/all ? (including damn Skellige) which was probably a bad move, since I was burned out on my last hours of playtrough. That was my 3rd playtrough and while I really adore story and lore wasn't the same, when I remembered pretty much everything. For Zero Escape I have done 3 bad endings in 999 on my way for 4th one and then True Ending, should be fast but VLR will probably a bit longer. And for PS4 I started Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Finished HR on PC and loved it and since CP2077 relase got delayed decided gonna pick it up now. But now I have a small problem with Bayonetta - I'm buying remastered collection (Vanquish+Bayonetta on PS4) on day 1. I have included Vanquish on my list as PS4 platform, but Bayonetta as PS3 since I was pretty much copy pasting titles from my private list done before they announced it. The question is is ok if I play it on PS4 instead PS3 - want to minimize my PS3 list of games to play and get rid of if before PS5 comes out. Popular Post neospoon
After taking some time off from gaming, I've finally managed to pick it back up albeit a bit slow. I managed to get Need for Speed Heat done. I have no clue what the story was about since I skipped all the cutscenes. I enjoyed the game for a while, but after finishing the story the grind became real. A ton of collectibles and activities made me lose interest completely and it felt like a never ending chore. Good news is, it's done! Here's me hoping they won't release any DLC... I don't know what's next. I'll probably try and get Valentino Rossi the Game done and might switch to PS3 for a bit. Popular Post AuroraHistoire
Going Back to the Late 80's This week I completed Double Dragon Neon and had a wonderful time. Double Dragon Neon is a well made beat em' up with co-op. The plot is Marian gets kidnapped so Billy Lee (and Jimmy Lee if you're playing in co-op) have to save her by walking to the right and beating up everyone in sight. You can punch, kick and use any weapons find lying around to viscously beat up various enemy types. The game also contains light RPG mechanics in the form of the mixtape system. There are two types of mixtapes, ones that are your special ability and ones that determine your stats that may include a passive ability. You obtain new mixtapes by colleting them from the pockets of fallen enemies or buying them from a shop. If you collect a duplicate mixtape, that mixtape gets stronger. You can also switch mixtapes any time you want. Double Dragon Neon has a trophy that requires you to beat the game on the hardest difficulty in co-op with friendly fire enabled. I was very worried about that since I had nobody to play this game with and controling two characters at once would be a challenge. Fortunately I came across a method on "that other trophy site" where you equip the Magic Gambit and Lightning mixtapes, high-five your bro has much as possible and kill everything with lightning. Lightning is a special ability that has a very low magic cost (special abilties use your magic meter) that can hit up to three enemies at once and can stun lock the enemy until they die. Unfortunately, lightning will hit you (it hurts a lot) if there is no enemy is on screen and so I had to learn how many hits each enemy type took so I didn't accidentally hit myself. The high-fives give you faster magic regeneration and give you a temporary buff that gives you double damage. It was a bit silly and overpowered but the trophy was still challenging. I had trouble moving both characters at the same time and I would constantly get my controllers mixed up and control the wrong character by mistake. I also completed Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls. The game was okay. It's a crossover between the Neptunia series and Sega Hard Girls. The Neptunia series is about a bunch of girls who are personifications of game companies (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, Sega, Idea Factory, Complie Heart, Tamsoft, ect.), a few consoles, games themselves and I think a couple were based of gaming magazines. According to Wikipedia, Sega Hard girls is an anime where a bunch of girls who are personifications of Sega Consoles. The plot is about IF and Segami trying to repair history by going back in time with their time travelling bike because a nice fairy named Histoire asked them to. IF comes from the present where the world is just a wasteland and one very nice library. Segami is a mysterious girl who fell from the sky and has amnesia. You explore various eras of history but they're all kind of the same. A Neptunia Sega console but not for legal reasons and Sega Hard Girl are usually fighting. Segami tries her hardest to make sure the two problem children don't fight while IF is there just to watch since she is scared of altering history. The gameplay is general RPG stuff with some dungeon exploration. You complete simple quests (kill X of X monster, gather items, go to a location to watch a cutscene) to progress the game. You can only have 1 quest active at a time but there is a reason for that. The game is a bit like Majora's Mask where there is a timer but instead of a clock, it is based how many quests you complete/abandon. You're only allowed to complete a certain amount of quests before the game forces you to battle the final boss. If you win, the game is complete. If you lose, you start the game back at the 'beginning' but you keep everything, the quests you completed are still completed and the quests that were abandoned or expired naturally are back. I favored the Sega Hard Girls over the Neptunia characters. I'm a Sega fan and this the only game I'll ever be able to use them in. I didn't like how you couldn't have a party without IF or Segami in it. IF and Segami are the only characters you can control in dungeons and that is disappointing. Overall, the game was okay on the enjoyable side. Everything was done well enough and nothing was done poorly. A few ideas were underdeveloped but the ideas were still cool. The trophy list required a minor amount of grinding and a few easy to find collectables but some of the collectables are missable. The full game list is in the spoiler tag. Popular Post Edunstar84
Finished my fourth game - Hatsune Miku Project Diva f (JP). I'm so happy there's a great guide out there because I don't speak a lick of Japanese. I played Ashes to Ashes 100 times to get enough points to buy the everything, plus playing the game on Normal and Hard. I couldn't manage I'm still working on Catherine and reached my goal of finishing the first playthrough by February. Next, I'll complete Rapunzel and finish the rest of the endings. This month I'm also going to work on Puppeteer (not on this list), play an easy game or two, and start on another long game that I'll plat next month.
