Regardless, this discussion isn't going to go anywhere. They're not going to change the trophies, and if you want to boycott them, then I'm not going to stop you. Personally, I'll be playing the game tomorrow and I plan on thoroughly enjoying it.

Yeah, anyone who says they really enjoyed the game must be a fanboy that is delusional right?  Never mind that tons of people have said that they loved the game, guess they're all fanboys!  Nobody could possibly actually  like it, because you've decided that in your mind and who's to argue that!

Not only not 100%, but it's loaded to the brim with Ratalaika games. Nothing against anyone who likes those games, but I see why this person is so angry now lmao. They just want easy plats.

If there's a game you're really interested in, and think would be really fun to play, only for you to not only be discouraged from playing it because of its platinum difficulty, but also get angry at the developers, then maybe trophy hunting is becoming an unhealthy part of your life.

I think it's evidence that they didn't think out the trophies particularly well, but that's true of a lot of games. I definitely don't see it as evidence that they have a personal grudge against me though.

At the end of the day, they're still only people, and are capable of making bad decisions. I'd sooner chalk it up to that than assume the worst about them.

Again there is a difference between a difficult trophy that needs practice, skill, patience, or any combination of that, and a trophy that cancels out these in exchange for pure luck. I see no point in supporting that.

It's really stupid to be hung up over a trophy this much. I'm kinda glad it's in the game so people with a mindset like yours won't be playing it.

Not that I particularly care, because percentage does not equate difficulty at all, but your platinum percentage is in the 80's lol. No need to throw stones in a glass house.

Trophy hunters these days are so weak lmao some people got used to Ratalaika lists that they are now expecting every trophy list to have the same easy standards (same goes to new AAA titles, like TLoU2 and GoT). 

I don't remember people complaining years ago on PS3 platinums( although being harder and more time-consuming than nowadays plats), people got lazy and now expect trophies to be served to them on a silver platter, hell I still remember that petition that was made 2 years ago to remove Mein Leben trophy from Wolfenstein 2 haha 

Again, you are not entitled to earn every trophy you put on your account, if you think a trophy is too hard or too grindy for you and you dont have any skill/dedication then either stay away, play it and enjoy the game without worrying about trophies, play it on an alt acc- but most importantly, NEVER whine on the internet.

Try getting some of those rares then if they aren't that difficult then. And see I dont care about my platinum percentage because I mix easy and more difficult platinums. But then again I didn't try to start the stat shaming game either.

So, I came across an interesting article this morning which talked about Fall Guys' launch, PS+ and the trophy list. I like the look of this game, so I read on. Notably, there was a  nod to a recent reddit interaction with a lead developer of Fall Guys, who claimed (bragged?) that one of the trophies - Infallible - will be practically unobtainable by design.

 

Exact quote on Reddit was as follows:

When someone re-iterated (incorrectly) the requirements their response was simply...

 

"Aw, that's cute".

 

 

They also sent this tweet out after, saying that every time people complain about the requirement, they'll consider increasing it.

 

 

 

I'm very curious as to how people feel about this, as its the first time I've seen a developer openly admit they included trophies they think no one will ever unlock.

 

I personally hate the attitude conveyed here. I have no issue with the concept of high difficulty and trophies related to conquering difficult challenges, especially in single player games where the mastery and skill required is really on you. I accept there will be certain games/ trophies I am just not skilled enough or patient enough to unlock.

 

However, in this case, its seems like the developers purposely created their trophy list irritate and gaud people, and their pre-release 'bragging' about the unobtainability of its trophy kind of re-enforces that. I think that is being irresponsible. In general, its a weird approach to take. Perhaps this is satrical, or an invitation to the challenge, but if so they have misinterpreted the trophy audience  (at least in my opinion). The majority of people outside our bubble won't care about trophies, so they won't pay attention to these comments. The trophy community who are targetted then will likely feel more along the lines of 'why are you including trophies you don't think aren't even possible to earn' rather than 'challenge accepted!'. Could have easily made an overall harder list whilst still be achievable, and they could have been less infantile in their approach.

 

Regarding the trophy itself, I personally think winning 5 consecutive BR matches in any game would be insanely difficult, let alone one in a game where physics and clumbsy-ness play a part in the experience. However, I think (and hope) someone will eventually do it just to prove these devs wrong.
