Yeah I pop in the Greatest Hits disc and it tells me it's on the latest version. I was assuming there should be an update because my JP Demon's Souls disc does actually update... but I'm not even sure anymore at this point

 

The Brewology site only shows patches for JP and what looks like AS versions of the game

The wester release of Demons souls didn't receive any updates. The asian releases did get updates, but as the western version came out later it already has the fixes in.

I tried Socom Special Forces 2 days ago (been taking inventory of my PS3 collection, downloading patches and taking notes) and nothing at all, probably because the online counterpart is completely shut down for awhile now.

Thank you as well for shining light on this major issue! I had almost purchased the Lords of Shadow dlc until I came across this news and held off when I realized I couldn't download the update..

 

I own an absolutely ridiculous amount of digital+physical PS3 games (possibly 500+?) that I've stockpiled since 2007, so if there are any games someone is interested in picking up or needs to be tested, please feel free to let me know and I'll check if it updates!

Also, I've updated my digital game list back at page 11. Some games already had patches in them when they were installed apparently.

I never played Sonic Adventure 2, know very little other than it being Shadow the Hedgehog’s debut. 
 

I find it amusing that you focused on that one line regarding the game when I spent a hour compiling and testing all the PS3 games left on my backlog.

Having played the game or not really has nothing to do with the entire matter of whether or not a PS3 game has a downloadable update, just saying.

Yeah, it was nothing personal, just a tad confusing if anything.

 

I haven't played much of Sonic Adventure 2 myself, despite having owned it for all these years. I've always been a much bigger fan of the classic 2D Sonic over the slender, green-eyed revamp, although I really enjoyed Sonic Generations and Unleashed enough to plat them both. Definitely agree that old Sega stuff was awesome and they're still capable of putting out great games to this day but they've really made a lot of questionable mistakes along the way.
