Psy-Tychist
So blu3 can confirm another Plat championship if he beats GTA_Darren and ArcticCress doesn't pull out a 400 point win. microsamm is guaranteed to drop to Gold but it still can be anyone joining him from Shogun, FallancyUnknown, GTA_Darren, myself or Zone. Pretty tight from 5th to 9th. Krazy_99 secures a nice cosy spot in the middle of the table. Prinny can win and be lifted into Plat for the first time since his comeback and just has to outscore InfinateEternity to make it happen. There are no guarantees on relegations but it is between sui_star, OmegaFenron or Sptj7. stupid0089 has a much higher points advantage, so is most likely safe. The battle of Silver continues with the unbeaten AffectatiousDonk against Aprilis for the crown at the top. Big guns going at it on the final fixture. Shmenon-Pie scoring high but very unlucky, will be in Bronze next season as will Damaging Rob who is unlikely to overhaul a 400 point gap. Bronze has a clear unbeaten leader with Nuclear Manager and is guaranteed to be in the CWC unless they lose and Gunner can beat Dzware in his final fixture. Oskar after trying so hard, will end up near the bottom alongside TechnicolorCowboy. There is always next season. Just 4 hours to get those last trophies in, and Season 34 will come to a close.

Psy-Tychist
With just under 7 hours to go in the final of the 34th CWC, the scores are something else. (7) blu3st4rdust305 (266.1) vs (503.6) AffectatiousDonk (2). This could be the highest scoring final ever, will blu3 come back from this deficit or will the Donk's degenerate nature win the day? Popular Post AffectatiousDonk
Massive congratulations to @blu3st4rdust305 for another CWC win, I believe making him the most prolific winner of the event, a deserving title. I was hopeful for a somewhat reasonable score and while I was quite happy with this project it was eye opening to see just how much I did get beat by. Blu is a real beast, a mark of respect coming from someone who regularly gets smashed by the top beasts on the board. Also big congrats to @NuclearManager on a fine day 2 performance. I knew I wouldn’t be able to beat Blu so thought it would be fair to give him advance warning of the score required to make it into the final. Sort of leave it to fate and he did come really close, one more gold trophy and perhaps the result may have been different but there is always next time I am sure he will be back more determined. I usually don’t plan my gaming which is probably why I must be approaching the most prolific loser in the CWC, a title that if I don’t yet hold I hope to honour in the near future. But this time I did draw up a list but held off purchasing the games until the final day just incase I was saved the flaying that Blu was going to hand down. I was actually quite happy to see that I was to be the victim so I could follow through and pick up the games and actually carve out some time to stop everything else and focus on them. I know this event doesn’t involve the sharing of gaming experiences but I wanted to write up a little about what I played. I play roughly 1000 – 1400 games a year across PS and Xbox so I often lose in the mix some of my experiences so this record is more for me than general interest but who knows it might throw some light on some hidden gems. The only parameters for inclusion were. 1. It must be fun 2. It must hold some interest or curiosity 3. It is a short game with an inflated time and preferably not have 50 completions CWC Final Games List Lost Words Beyond The Page PS4 A beautiful side scrolling platformer lite with some collectibles. The hook of this game is it’s split narration between diary entries, where yes do platform over the words and a more traditional 2.5D platformer. Beautiful music, a heart warming if sad story and a totally approachable game for any level. Engaging and sincere and around a 6hr plat if exploring, a far cry from the 23hour 50th completion listed. Just a few trophies while I waited to see if I was on a pilgrimage to the Pony Overlords best asset, the Playstation Store on announcement of the results of day 2 Riders Republic PS4 The evolution of all things Steep and done in wonderful Ubi fashion. The addition of mountain bikes, road racing bikes, stunts and some hilariously wild shack daddy events all while watching other players scream past you in giant giraffe necks on all manner of funkies makes for a must for open world sports lovers. I played most of this game on the Series X and thanks to your game progress being saved on the Ubisoft servers it becomes cross platform to a degree. I have milked it on PS5 and then on PS4 primarily for the GTTASC comp on TT and I suppose it is the closest I came to the distasteful preload. From the 30 minutes or so I spent I can safely urge caution not to pick this up on the PS4. It was eye opening how poorly it performed but to be expected no doubt from a next gen game. Summertime Madness PS5 The latest offering from publisher Sometimes You. A beautiful puzzler that steps close to the line of impressionism mixed with abstraction. The puzzles are fair and while the level design has clearly been lovingly crafted the path to forward progression is not always well executed. The play on hiding collectibles beyond the edge of sight to encourage exploration of a totally dark level really doesn’t leave me as erect as I fear the developer anticipated. A nice smattering of 3 forms of game spanning collectibles, one that holds a particularly cheeky post credits explanation and two time waster collect the bugs but painless trophies round out a generally enjoyable 90 minute game. Summertime Madness releases on PS4 + PS5 EU and NA region on January 26th. Thanks to Sometimes You for supplying a review code that was used in playing this game. Ever Forward PS5 It is rare to find a developer go the extra mile in an indie puzzler, which is in essence what Ever Forward is. But it is so much more than that. A cleverly crafted open world playground that clearly promotes forward progression from puzzle to puzzle while satiating the desire for the illusion of open world exploration and freedom of choice. The mark of a quality puzzler to me has always been the laying of mechanics on previously learnt methods. True abstraction or lateral leaps of logic in design hold little interest for myself and often cover laziness in the creation process in the endeavour to create a “fresh new” experience. Thankfully Ever After is a game that rewards you for completing the level with not only a new mechanic to add depth but a tiny tidbit of narrative joy that leaves you feeling like you are peering into a story of which you are the central protagonist. Deliciously voyeuristic. A fair 90 minute to 2 hour plat that encourages solo completion without a guide. The final few puzzles incorporate some precision with timing that would appear random without a true understanding of the early progression. A wonderful mechanic more developers need to make use of to stop gamers just abusing guides. The true travesty of Ever Forward is that it only has a handful of plat holders on the EU version. A true waste. Arcade Archives Liquid Kids / Markham / Pop Flamer / Skykid / Space Crusier / Swimmer / Gunnail The value of these games may have greatly diminished in “trophy hunters” eyes ever since the Pony Overloads spent 2 minutes rejigging the PSN point system increasing the value of a plat to more than the 285 points on offer here. Nevertheless not to be sneezed at a great nostalgia trip, a refresher in how much harder the games use to be, some spontaneous colourful language and proof that a good game loop outweighs the bells and whistles that fuck you money of a Triple A can procure. Most of these games have barely 25 completions, sure some are down right devilish but not this motely crew. 5 – 10 minutes and your done, it is still a shame that they never bothered to use a full trophy list like the Arcade Archive games embraced on the Xbox. Cotton 2 / Cotton Boomerang Quoting the gamer @Drag-On-Detritus that introduced these games to me “ not particularly good, but is a side scrolling shooter so I must play it “ excuse my memory Sir the 4 vices have addled it somewhat Age, Drink, Weed & Cock. Gloriously Japanese retro at its converlutedly finest. A game loop that defies logic in its ability to “ just one more run “ and a deceptively easy trophy card that suckers in a low skilled gamer with promises of glory. Graphically an overdose of A.D.D mixed with a trip on the magic dragon it is well worth the 40 – 50 minutes required to complete the 6 missions. Of course that is provided you have the skill or sheer balls deep luck required to some how make it there. These were self indulgent purchases riding an artificial high of completing Cotton 100% & Cotton Panorama perhaps more to the games surprise than even my own. It appears a feat that will not be reproduced anytime soon. Jack N Hat A platformer that offered more than a regular Rataliaka and yet still less than a game should. Adequate level design, checkpoints spaced at exactly the right distance to inspire profanity laced in floaty controls and tongue in cheek save system available after each 5 minute level. Perhaps the developer planned on this being a revisted experience. A fair attempt to appease trophy hunters that can’t fathom Rat spam on their tag but unashamedly pile on an obscure publisher’s 30 minute platinum treats. Kinduo A co-op game played by one person, perhaps as baffling as people slamming Microsoft for destoying gaming by expanding their gaming empire to better serve their customers on the glorious Gamepass. Luckily a mistake the Pony Overloads will never fall for, serving their customers. The latest Rataliaka published offering was an enjoyable and fair 30 minute puzzle adventure, tricky enough to require the use of a brain but not so taxing as to require the friendly if condescending assistance of your favourite Youtube “ Platinum Coach “. Progression through adding mechanics sustains involvement and regular encouragement of the gold variety is on drip feed to sustain progress. The inclusion of Level 99 for the plat was a classy addition and perhaps as close as we can expect to a complete the game for its 5 second attention span audience. Kinduo is available crossbuy on PS4 & 5 in EU/NA/AS regions. Thanks to Rataliaka for providing a code for playing of this game. There were a few more games but due to time and the general banality of life not enough time was spent to produce fair opinions. They will live to play another day. These include Last Stop, Mythic Ocean, Hitchhiker & Downslope. Overall Stats Gameplay Time approx. 8 – 9 hours Cost of Games : approx. $240 Australian Dollar

It appears a feat that will not be reproduced anytime soon Sorry mate I just happened to see this while having 'breakfast' (ciggie & a red bull) so you're getting a reply. I was well into the party favours when I did those Cotton games, & for a while I didn't bother with the chaining & was just shooting/dodging which made things much harder than they should have been. That may or may not have happened for an entire playthrough of one of them & that's loading a save upon death to experience a no-death run, one small chunk at a time. It was infuriating doing it that way haha. This was the physical version too with 1 plat instead of 3 & the inclusion of Guardian Force which was pretty tough & took a lot of reloading saves for a good run. Panorama Cotton was a totally different story though. Well done getting that one done! During that charity event with the pink & orange games I picked that up & tried it out, found it relatively unplayable & even after getting a bit more comfortable with it decided to substitute it. I'll start it some day but the game is borderline intimidating for some reason (visual confusion & a rare kind of jank that's hard to handle). I almost asked you about that when I saw you had done it. While on the topic of things thought but not yet said, I for one am glad that in Australia we finally have 1) A Person & 2) An Australian in the top spot. Looks like all that time on the Xbox has made you battle-hardened. All the best mate keep fighting the good fight!
