Favorite game intro.

I was checking some old videos and if there's something that gave me nostalgia was this intro.

"Tu tu tu tu tu-tu-tu...tu tu tu tu tu-tu-tu" anyone?

So what's your favorite game intro? Can be any old or new.

*Didn't know where to put this as it's a general game discussion*

I'd have to say the one intro that stuck in my brain was the first Assassin's Creed. The only other one I can think of right now is The Beatles: Rock Band. Very artistic.

I can answer this one of two ways:

1) My personal favorite video game opening (introduction).

Or...

2) The video game opening I believe was the better introduction to the game.

The reason I ask is because my personal favorite is probably Final Fantasy VII, but that one does little to actually smooth you into the game itself; I simply enjoy it. If I had to choose an opening based on its merits and actually contribution to the game itself, however, my answer would be different. For merit, I could choose either the original Fallout or Bethesda's Fallout 3 since they are fairly similar. Both games introduced their world, characters, and plot in the opening monologue. If I was forced to choose, though, my merit opening would be Fallout 3.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories is the Best Nostalgic Intro for me.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory is one of the newest ones I liked.

The Best Intro in my opinion is Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale.

Metal Gear Solid?

Bingo! You sir I salute you.

just want a clarification, are we referring to cutscenes that play before the title screen or cutscenes that play after you start a new game?

Well do you think it's worth making two seperate treads about it? It's prety much intro overal like mine. The feeling I get when turning my ps1 on and then the game intro after. It differs by people.

Dead Space was one of the most engrossing intros I've experiences, and the fact that they seamlessly integrated the opening cut scene with game-play spoke to the cinematic nature of the entire game.  One of the most surprisingly great games I've ever played.
