Popular Post AnRoDr
Been a gamer all my life, started with the famed Atari 2600 and now primarily playing on PS4. As the consoles grew more powerful my free time for gaming dwindled away ... Although I spend only a few hours per week gaming these days, i do like collecting trophies and on rare occasions even manage to obtain a platinum one! With so many games to play, so little time to play them and most of the time gaming together with my kids or wife it's a small wonder every time I hear the coveted "pling" sound of a trophy popping on my own account No fancy banners here, no complicated rules for trophy hunting and no set goals. Expect updates of the platinum list to be few and far between. You can however rest assured that each game on the list here is at least one of three things and most of the time a combination of all thee things: - relatively easy - very entertaining - relatively short or at least easy to play in short sessions if it is a longer game For all you youngsters out there: this list is a sneak peek of your future in gaming! ---------- 1) LEGO Harry Potter: years 1-4 True Wizard First one on the list and it only got here because I played it together with my wife. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but I would not have had the patience to collect every collectible and replay all the levels with different characters. ---------- 2) Megamind Platinum Trophy I started this game together with my kids, but they got bored and stopped whilst actually really liked it! ---------- 3) Trine 2 Trine 2 Hard Great puzzle game that looks stunning! ---------- 4) Sly Cooper And The Thievius Raccoonus True Thievius Raccoonus Platform heaven with good humour ---------- 5) Saints Row: The Third Kingpin Hilarious game! Got the Platinum trophy without even realizing it ---------- 6) LEGO Harry Potter: years 5-7 10 points to Gryffindor What's there to say? The sequel came out and me and the missus were back at it ... ---------- 7) Sly 2: Band of Thieves Unlikely Bandit More Sly! More fun! ---------- 8) Sleeping Dogs Hong Kong Legend One of the best games I've played! Easy, action packed fun that looked good too ---------- 9) CSI: Fatal Conspiracy Completist Liked the TV-show, liked the game a little less. Bit too slow at times, but wanted to finish the story so used a guide to speed it up ---------- 10) Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale All-Star Legend - You've only done everything Great brawler, played a lot with the kids and the platinum just popped one day ---------- 11) Terminator Salvation Determinated Fan of the films and fan of this game, easy action packed shooter ---------- 12) Wonderbook: Book of Spells First Edition New gadget! Had to have and had to play it! ---------- 13) The Walking Dead The Walking Dead Best story driven game of that time based on the best TV-series of that time! ---------- 14) Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL Punchtime Explosion Pro If you're a fan of the featured cartoons in this game then you'll have a blast! ---------- 15) Burnout Paradise Burnout Paradise Elite Most enjoyable racegame on the PS3! ---------- 16) Dante's Inferno Master of The Inferno Beating up hellish creatures in gory glory, should get a sequel! ---------- 17) The Walking Dead The Walking Dead Got it again on VITA, made new choices and had even more fun the 2nd time round!! ---------- 18) Virtue's Last Reward Virtue's Last Reward Great story with challenging puzzles, must buy for the VITA ---------- 19) Legends of War Legend of War Very good strategy game for VITA, good gaphics and a lot of options ---------- 20) WWE Legends Of WrestleMania Platinum Pure nostalgia! ---------- 21) Resistance: Burning Skies Platinum Fun shooter, ideal on holiday! ---------- 22) Heavy Fire: Afghanistan Platinum Trophy Needed a quick an easy trophy boost .... still quite an enjoyable game ---------- 23) Minecraft Awarded All Trophies Still play this from time to time, endless possibilities .... some trophies took me quite a long time, but a "save anywhere anytime" option helped a lot! --------- 24) The Wolf Among Us Full Moon Fantastic dialogues, great story and easy trophies .... What more do you want? ---------- 25) Dust: An Elysian Tail Mithrarin First platinum on PS4! Superb game, reminds me of Zelda and Metroid with gorgeous graphics! ---------- 26) Rocket League Virtuoso Fantastic arcade soccer game with cars, perfect for a quick session on a busy day. Must play game on PS4!! ----------- 27) The Bunker Platinum Trophy Not much of a game, but a very enjoyable interactive short movie! To be continued ............ (who knows I might even get to platinum Skyrim or Diablo 3 ) Edited January 13, 2017 by AnRoDr
Zenpai
Funny thing is, the OP says he's got very little time to play, let alone platinum games, and yet he has more than I do - and I've been a trophy hunter since 2009 Nice list, keep it going!

GoldenShaka
Nice collection of platinums. I also started gaming when Atari 2600 was released Now I know where to look for to add another fun and quick game to my own list Edited July 24, 2015 by GoldenShaka
Beyondthegrave07
Nice list! I think I am already at your level platinum-wise . My platinums are relatively easy too!
Hemiak
As a fellow dad/husband/full-time worker I say good job and keep up the good work. You can definitely get Skyrim, it's not super hard, just takes a while. You can play it in manageable sections to get it done. You should really finish off Puppeteer, I had my kids use Pikarina, to help with a few things, and they loved playing just the two of them as well. Other than the load of collectibles the game's really easy to finish. Edited July 25, 2015 by Hemiak

I think I am already at your level platinum-wise . My platinums are relatively easy too! Easy or not, we still had to put in the time to get them .... DetectiveCJ
For all you youngsters out there: this list is a sneak peek of your future in gaming! *sees all of the games and realized some of them are part of the Trophy Whore's Bible* Yeah, since you are a father, I guess it would make sense that all of your trophies would be of games that are very kid-friendly. *Looks again and sees Sleeping Dogs and CSI and takes back his first statement* On second thought, not all of the games are kid-friendly, sorry. Please do not take offense, I was joking. I am the "have no life" person who has all the time in the world to platinum games but I know how it is with the "real lifers" - getting a platinum is in the gutterball lane of the list of priorities when you have mouths to feed and money to make to feed those mouths and keep the spouse happy. To make it up to you, let me say that I've also platinumed a few of those games: The LEGO Harry Potter series and Sly 1 and 2. The reason I grabbed those games were why you did them - they are quick and easy platinums and have interesting characters. (I do like the Harry Potter series and Sly Cooper is a cartoony franchise I should have gotten behind years ago. Maybe if I had played the games on PS2 I would have not abandoned Sly 3 so quickly.) So yeah, just because I have all the time in eternity to platinum tough games like Disgaea 3 doesn't mean I won't pick up games to earn a quick plat on if they are fun to play. (I am considering reopening my GameFly account and renting LEGO The Force Awakens.) Edited July 10, 2016 by DetectiveCJ
