Laggy site?

Recommended Posts

I noticed that the site seems pretty laggy at times today and I occasionally get timeout errors when posting, though it's fine when I refresh. Any idea why?

I'm also having a slowdown on this website too, maybe the server is on the fritz? I think Sly will inform us on what's going on when he comes online.

Not sure if i'm having the same trouble as everyone else or if its just me

some of my posts will not go through and will end up on a screen "504 Gateway Time-out" or "Your Request has been timed out"

Please let us know what the problem is when you get the chance

Thank you for your time

  • 2 weeks later...

I experienced the "Saving post" while posting just now too. When I clicked the PSNProfiles homepage link I just got constantly spinning icon in Firefox. I had to close the tab and open a new one. Lost my post though. I'm in Australia if it helps. Possibly an international CDN server under load as it's the first day of the Easter 4-day weekend here.

Yeah, I don't think it's happening much anymore, but it hasn't just been the forums, it's across everything on the site over the past few days. I think it's some sort of odd server problem.

The site basically has small, short "flickers" of a few seconds of non-responsiveness every now and then, so sometimes when trying to access a page on the site my browser will return a blank page saying it can't connect and then immediately go on to auto-load the page I clicked on as if it got confused for a second. Sometimes when trying to submit a forum post, it doesn't respond back to me on my end and either posts it or doesn't post it on the sites end. Sometimes when working on guides it doesn't save the first time when pressing "save", etc...

It doesn't happen every time I do something, just every now and then and it's random, but it doesn't seem as bad today I don't think - I don't think I've had the issue today actually now that I think about it. Eh, hopefully that still helps Sly in some sort of way. :P
