fbdbh
I want to assemble a list, possibly a challenge to collect trophies from games released in 1990-1999. I think these are rare and worth collecting, because the commonly supported, ported and remastered PS2 games come after 2000. A lot of PS1 and PSP classics don't have trophy sets (suprisingly, a whole lot of SEGA classics do). But let's work what we have so far. Some notes: If there's a game where, for example, a JP release is from 1989 but it was released in EU/NA in 1990, it counts, but the margin of error is 1-2 years. Remasters and relatively faithful remakes count (like DuckTales), although the original release must be from this era. Reboots don't count (like Thief 2014). Thank you all for helping, I'll update this list as we progress and as I have the time, so far we have: 1990 - Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (remake, delisted) - Golden Axe - Mad Dog McCree - The Secret of Monkey Island (remake) 1991 - Another World - Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp - Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge (remake) - The Simpsons Arcade Game - Sonic the Hedgehog - ToeJam & Earl - Wonder Boy in Monster World 1992 - Mad Dog McCree II: The Lost Gold - Streets of Rage 2 - Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - Wolfenstein 3D 1993 - Day of the Tentacle Remastered - Daytona USA - Doom Classic Complete - Gunstar Heroes - NBA JAM - ToeJam & Earl: Panic in Funkotron - Shanghai III - Sonic CD 1994 - Earthworm Jim HD (remake) - Monster World IV - Putty Squad - Virtua Fighter 2 - Virtua Striker 1995 - Comix Zone - Fighting Vipers - Worms (remake) 1996 - Duke Nukem 3D - Megaton Edition - NiGHTS into Dreams... - Resident Evil (remake) - Sonic the Fighters - Tomb Raider Anniversary (remake) 1997 - Final Fantasy VII - Oddworld: New'n'Tasty (remake) - SEGA Bass Fighting 1998 - Grim Fandango Remastered - Sonic Adventure 1999 - Crazy Taxi Collections - Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara - Metal Slug Anthology - Mega Man Legacy Collection - Midway Arcade Origins - Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection - Sega Mega Drive Collection Edited September 21, 2016 by fbdbh

Meepy-
It would probably turn out the same way PS2 Classics did with everyone complaining about lack of platinum trophies included.

Stevieboy
SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection has a bunch of games released in the 90's (although it has some released in the 80's too). There are also the stand alone versions of Comix Zone, Streets Of Rage 2, Virtua Fighter 2, Sonic 1 & 2, as well as Sonic The Fighters, Fighting Vipers & The Simpsons Arcade Game. Final Fight: Double Impact has Magic Sword and Final Fight and they were both released in the 90's. There is also TMNT: Turtles In Time Re-Shelled, but that is a 2009 remake so it might not count, plus I think it has been de-listed from the PSN store anyway. You might get away with Golden Axe as, although it was released in NA & JP in Dec 89, it wasn't released in the EU until Nov 90. Dennis-nine-five
Like above Sonic 1&2 and Street of Rage 2 I add Megaman Legacy Collection. Though the first two games out of the collection released in the 80's. There is one trophy list for all 6 games together. markcavan
The older Tomb Raiders, Primal, Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango are some that come to mind quickly, if I think of more I'll post. Good idea for a list, thanks. Edited September 17, 2016 by markcavan

Shadiochao
I mean, this is basically a your favorite games thread, which we've plenty of on this forum already. No, people are misunderstanding the thread. They're asking for a list of games that were originally released in the 90s but have since been rereleased with trophies.

Jon-Patrick-S
There's the first couple of Monkey Island games. I think Dragon's Lair and Space Ace might be too early but Dragon's Lair II was possibly 90s? Also if you want something really obscure there's Mad Dog McCree, Mad Dog II and The Last Bounty Hunter. Good idea for a list, thanks. Primal was released in 2003, and none of the older Tomb Raider games have trophies. The exception being Tomb Raider: Anniversary, but that is a 2007 remake (of a 1996 game). This thread needs some Parappa the rapper 2. That was released in 2001. Potter13579
Really since we already got Crash, of course Spyro, but I what I really want now is MediEvil 1 and 2, and the fact we got Monkey Island 1 and 2 on PS3 but not The Curse of Monkey Island yet is an insult. MStalker58
There's the Mortal Kombat: Arcade Kollection which includes MK, MK II, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. All three were originally released in the 90's.

Here's some more then: Day of the Tentacle (remake with original graphics option) Grim Fandango (remake with original graphics option) Abe's Oddysee (New n Tasty, remake in Unity) Abe's Exoddus (remake in Unity, coming soon) The Secret of Monkey Island (special edition remake with original graphics option) The Secret of Monkey Island 2 (special edition remake with original graphics option) Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara (consists of two games from the 90s) The Revenge of Shinobi (December 2 1989 , but also 1990 in Europe), pretty much the same with Super Hang-on. AJ_Radio
I'm pretty sure Earthworm Jim qualifies on this list, although there was no multiplayer portion when it was released for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. fbdbh
Thank you, guys, I'll start adding them to the original post, I'll format it with additional infos, but this will be slow, I'll have more time tomorrow (also there seems to be a problem with the site right now, it's slow and unresponsive)! Decided to edit the title to hopefully avoid more confusion. Thanks! Edited September 18, 2016 by fbdbh
Manuelito
Since we are talking about old games and since I don't think my question deserve a whole thread, do anyone know which game is the oldest with trophy support? I think the oldest I saw is PACMAN (1980)

VeldinX
I know people have mentioned the classic Sonics but also add Sonic Adventure. It was originally released in 1999 in the west (98 in Japan).
