A list of 90's Games with Trophies

I want to assemble a list, possibly a challenge to collect trophies from games released in 1990-1999. I think these are rare and worth collecting, because the commonly supported, ported and remastered PS2 games come after 2000. A lot of PS1 and PSP classics don't have trophy sets (suprisingly, a whole lot of SEGA classics do). But let's work what we have so far.

Some notes:

  • If there's a game where, for example, a JP release is from 1989 but it was released in EU/NA in 1990, it counts, but the margin of error is 1-2 years
  • Remasters and relatively faithful remakes count (like DuckTales), although the original release must be from this era.
  • Reboots don't count (like Thief 2014).

Thank you all for helping, I'll update this list as we progress and as I have the time, so far we have:

SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection has a bunch of games released in the 90's (although it has some released in the 80's too). There are also the stand alone versions of Comix Zone, Streets Of Rage 2, Virtua Fighter 2, Sonic 1 & 2, as well as Sonic The Fighters, Fighting Vipers & The Simpsons Arcade Game.

Final Fight: Double Impact has Magic Sword and Final Fight and they were both released in the 90's.

There is also TMNT: Turtles In Time Re-Shelled, but that is a 2009 remake so it might not count, plus I think it has been de-listed from the PSN store anyway.

You might get away with Golden Axe as, although it was released in NA & JP in Dec 89, it wasn't released in the EU until Nov 90.

The older Tomb Raiders, Primal, Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango are some that come to mind quickly, if I think of more I'll post.

Good idea for a list, thanks.

Primal was released in 2003, and none of the older Tomb Raider games have trophies. The exception being Tomb Raider: Anniversary, but that is a 2007 remake (of a 1996 game).

This thread needs some Parappa the rapper 2.

That was released in 2001.

No, people are misunderstanding the thread. They're asking for a list of games that were originally released in the 90s but have since been rereleased with trophies.

Ok! Yeah, I misunderstood then! :)

Here's some more then:

  • Day of the Tentacle (remake with original graphics option)
  • Grim Fandango (remake with original graphics option)
  • Abe's Oddysee (New n Tasty, remake in Unity)
  • Abe's Exoddus (remake in Unity, coming soon)
  • The Secret of Monkey Island (special edition remake with original graphics option)
  • The Secret of Monkey Island 2 (special edition remake with original graphics option)
  • Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara (consists of two games from the 90s)

The Revenge of Shinobi (December 2 1989 xD, but also 1990 in Europe), pretty much the same with Super Hang-on.

Thank you, guys, I'll start adding them to the original post, I'll format it with additional infos, but this will be slow, I'll have more time tomorrow (also there seems to be a problem with the site right now, it's slow and unresponsive)!

Decided to edit the title to hopefully avoid more confusion.

Thanks!

Since we are talking about old games and since I don't think my question deserve a whole thread, do anyone know which game is the oldest with trophy support? I think the oldest I saw is PACMAN (1980)

I think this has the original Space Invaders included, but I'm not sure http://psnprofiles.com/trophies/540-SPACE-INVADERS-INFINITY-GENE

Good question, though, I'm in an archivist mood!
