Though it seems I barely have had time to game this month with work being insane, I did finally have a weekend off to finish up Persona 5.  It was very good, and fixed a lot of the issues that I had with Persona 4, particularly the dungeons, but was also weaker than Persona 4 in some of the other areas.  Of the two, I think I prefer P4, but that's regardless a high bar. Either way that's another off the list.

Been a hot minute since my last post, but I've been hard at work! I'm literally a single trophy away from getting the platinum for For Honor, but it's one that takes real time to do and I have no idea how many battles I have left. It could be done next week, it could be done next month. Let's hope sooner rather than later. At any rate, I did do another one! For Honor really kicked my ass so I needed something quick and easy, and that was Slayaway Camp! I played some of this back when they were flash games on kongregate, and it was really neat seeing how much they evolved! Honestly these guys deserved the money, the puzzles are pretty clever. Grinding out 666 kills was kind of dumb, but hey, whatever. I've done far worse.

I'm hoping I can make another post soon saying I've completed For Honor, but until then, we'll see where this goes! Almost halfway there.

Spreadsheet up to date as of now.

* One tiny request.

When posting an update with your games/completions it makes things much easier for us to update if they are listed in the same order as the spreadsheet.

Most of you are already doing this but for those who aren't... could you please? :awesome:

Still no new completions but good progress made.  Can't really see the progress trophywise in FFX-2 but I'm getting closer to that plat and still chipping away towards those last few trophies.  I did beat Tales of Symphonia and am working on all the wrap-up stuff for my first run, which is pretty much obtaining all the titles I can in this run, hitting max level, farming for casino chips and finishing up the secret dungeon.  Then I can start the second run out of the four minimum I'll need and try to get some of the titles I need subsequent runs for and grab some of the stuff I missed in the first run.  I did get a good chunk of the missables on the first run and I lucked out and the glitch for Zelos' Gigolo title worked for me.

Once I finish up this first run though, going to take a break before starting the second.  I'm going to be doing Kill Your Completion next month and have Marenian Tavern Story, Dark Cloud and Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes on my list for that.  Hoping to wrap up Dark Cloud during that event and also hoping to finish up the FFX-2 plat next month and at least my second run in Symphonia.

And since we now have a release date for Trails of Cold Steel IV, going to officially add that one for Travel.  I got the plat in the Japanese version so I can vouch it fits for ultra.  It plays a lot like CS2 in that you can go to all previously visited locations during the parts of each act to do sidequests and such and I know very well it's going to suck me away for a few weeks to a month while I get that plat since it requires a minimum of two playthroughs and it's the longest game in the arc so far as well.  It's not hard though and I know nightmare is quite doable with the easy tactic of make Elliot a free healing dispenser (that was seriously my nightmare strategy because he could heal full HP with Tear and regained back the EP the next turn).

#Pudding

I completed Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny 'recently'. I have a love hate relationship with Tides of Destiny. I liked most of the characters and the story (it's not very good but I found it fun) while I disliked the combat.

Let's get the negative out of my system first. My problem with the combat is that it doesn't feel satisfying because every enemy feels like a damage sponge. Even with the best weapons, enemies still took too many hits to kill in my opinion. It wouldn't be so much of a problem if attacking didn't use RP (Rune Points). Oh, Rune Points are basically a stamina meter that drains when you do most things and can only be refilled by taking a bath or eating pudding (or any other food that restores RP). Once you're of RP, doing anything that requires RP will drain your health quickly. Also, enemies will infinitely spawn if you don't destroy their spawn points; it's good for grinding and material farming. During my playthrough, I ran past most enemies and was never severely punished for doing that. There are boss battles too and they're kinda fun. There attacks don't leave much room counter often though. Also, the gaint monster fights are fun.

Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny it very rough around the edges it's presentation, especially with the consistency of the voice acting. It's really strange how same scene will have full voice acting for a few lines and then it doesn't, then a line or two later it's fully voice acted again. Also, on multiple occasions, the line was being said didn't match up with the text on screen.

Alright, it's time the good things. It's extremely easy to make money in this game. You can buy milk, make it hot and sell it for a profit. You can buy milk, add strawberries, make strawberry milk and sell it for a huge profit. There is also buying 2 yarn balls, creating a scarf out the two yarn balls and selling it for a profit. Those are just the exploits I remember.

Pudding is the best food for restoring RP. It only requires egg and milk; you can buy both ingredients or 1 ingredient daily from a cow monster and a chicken monster. Oh, you're allowed to recruit any monster to work on your farm in exchange for 1 monster cookie per day. You have to buy monster cookies but they're very cheap and whatever your monsters produce will make a huge return on your investment. Anyway, basic pudding will restore 150RP, that's pretty good even at the end of the game. Later, you will unlock chocolate pudding that's just is just normal pudding but you add chocolate. You have to but the chocolate though and you need your cooking skill to be 95 to consistently win the cooking mini-game. I don't remember how much RP and HP chocolate pudding restored but it was to fully refill my HP & RP at level 60.

Aside from monster fighting and dungeon exploration, you'll be spending a lot of time getting to know every single important NPC in town. You do that by talking to everybody everyday, giving them the same gift everyday and doing as many of their ridiculously easy quests as possible. It's really helpful that the map tells you where everyone is at all times of the day. There is also the cooking\crafting mini-game that you will play about 5,000 times. It just press X at the correct time to not fail; you don't lose crafting materials if you fail except when cooking. If you fail at cooking, you lose all your ingredients but you do get a item called a Failed Dish. Failed Dish doesn't have any practical use but you can give Failed Dish as a gift and the recipient's reaction tends to be hilariously.

I finished a second game, don't get used to it. London Detective Mysteria is a visual novel where you solve mysteries and romance boys; I really liked it. It had some really good features, that I wish where in more visual novels. The game is transparent with what choices actually do in the grand scheme of things (I.E. You're noticed if your affection went up with a certain character). You're also allowed to skip between decisions both foward and backward, which saves quite a lot of time on repeat playthroughs (there are about 7 different routes and about 13 endings). It's strange that you have a time limit of 10 seconds to make any decision because you can skip back to the decision if time expires or you didn't like the outcome. Also, London Detective Mysteria gets bonus points for having a trophy list that's one long connected image, while having every trophy image being good enough to stand on it's own (no crotch shots). It is subtle enough that I didn't notice until I was half way through the trophy list.

So subtle that I didn't even notice that and I got the plat ages ago!  That's actually pretty neat now that I can see it (and yeah no crotch shots is nice since I ended up with one as a milestone)

So i started Steins Gate again yesterday and was following a new guide in hopes of getting the missing endings...when I lost all power for the night (huge storm). It is almost like fate is keeping me from platting that game ☹ i may have to cancel all those Dmails in hopes of changing the thread I am on.

Yeah it was really going hard but then calmed down...and then like 20 minutes later everything went out :P

The thing is it is really hot here right now so no fans to cool down mean a very shitty sleep but I was obviously tired because I slept until 9 which means if it wasn't Canada Day I would have been late for work...Steins Gate in action again MWAHAHAHAHA El Psy Kongroo.

♪Tutturu♪  That is 4 :platinum: done :D Finally battled through to Steins Gate and realized the future is undecided.

I am not a fan of games that make you use like 6 guides to figure out how to plat it but I like the story and characters enough I can forgive the game (but seriously developers knock that shit off).

The list is coming nicely, i Just finished Spyro 3 for my 9th plat on here. ??

I'll go defenitly slower for the last few games, as they less attract me to play, i actually played a few games outside of this event. And my gf, who is bored out of her mind from covid unemployment, started to like gaming ! ?? so she's hogging the PS4 since a while. The miss discovered the Assassin's Creed series and is playing them all back to back (in the weirdest order ever tho... Unity, Freedom Cry, Syndicate, Broderhood, Origins, III, Liberation)

Question : would Erica count in #read?  (i have no idea whats up with this game)

Got two more done. Steins; Gate and Everybody's Golf. I enjoyed SG way more than EG and would highly recommend anyone who enjoys time travel theory to play through SG and not just skip through for the trophies. I'm really late to the party on this one, but it's a good party so I don't mind :P I would not recommend EG...I just didn't find it fun...I spelled out why on my trophy checklist if anyone is interested in why I thought EG was full of suck. I should hopefully finish Ash of Gods this week and will have another update. Four down and several more to go! Happy 4th of July to those of you who celebrate it! Was a beautiful day out in my neck of the woods.

Well, if it's similar to a Quantum Dream game, I guess you could count it. I never play those games, the characters are too realistic for me and Erica is supposed to be a horror-type story? Ugh, no thank you! (I admit it, I am scared of horror games. :()

I am too scared of horror games, this is the main reason i still have Days Gone untouched ! ?

Allright so I'll add Erica for the #read category at that time :)

It's gonna be a long time before I get back into trophy hunting - I'm busy re-playing Pokemon Black 2 to migrate my Pokemon over to Sword and Shield and that game is the mascot for grinding. Also doing a little side project. So I might not get into the remaining games for a while, probably not until I get my dental surgery on August 6. My congratulations on everyone sticking with it and getting those platinums. ;)

AFTER TEN THOUSAND YEARS, I'M FREE! For Honor is FINALLY done, after literal months of chipping away at this thing. I never should have let my friend talk me into getting started on this, but I did, and now here I am. At least I can use it for a ton of events, haha. This one took ages, and it's pretty unavoidable considering how much time some of the trophies take in real time. Bare minimum you'll be at it for a month, and that's if you get everything done quick. And it's all multiplayer too. Guh. At least it's over, and easily the toughest on my list.

Next will likely be PBB and Neptunia, since I'll be going out of town and taking my Vita with me. I've heard good things about both, so I'm excited to see what they have to offer!
