After putting it on the Winter Backlog Challenge it's nice to actually start it on the Spring challenge and it's making me look forward to playing Survivor too but I'm going to wait for a sale for that one. Good job I like this one when I have to play it twice ?. I'm really enjoying the story and gameplay of this one, but some of the platforming can be a bit janky and the map is a bit weird to navigate so I generally don't use it. I went and cleared up Kashyyyk to 100% too so that's one of the planets done. I'm really loving unlocking new skills as I go along in the main game too, and how they introduce those skills is cool. Looking forward to getting back to this one next week! Borderlands 2 > 49% Started the DLC on this one and really enjoyed the first pack, just pretty annoying when my save file gets corrupted and I lost a couple of hours progress so will have to go back for the complete all side quests trophy after the rest of the DLC when I just had one raid boss left to do - could be worse, and thank God for cloud saves. Just started the Mr. Torgue DLC too, the character of Mr. Torgue is great so I'm looking forward to playing some of this at the weekend with @rjkclarke. Life is Strange: True Colours > 100% This one is my favourite one after the first LIS game. Alex's power of empathy is pretty interesting and raises a lot of ethical questions too, if you had that sort of power in your hands what would you do? sort of thing. The story in this one is really good, and it's a lot better than the 2nd game, which I'd like to go back to and get the platinum since I played it on Xbox One a while ago now. The game looks beautiful, and the soundtrack fits really well. Those vibe check moments in LIS really get you to think about what's just happened, kind of like how you do in real life, or how I do anyway - so it's something I really love about the LIS games. I'd recommend this one easily, especially if you liked the previous games. The trophy hunting experience is really easy too, just beat the game, do a few side quests and get all the collectibles - simple. I'm looking forward to the next entry in this series ?.
Popular Post MidnightDragon
Time for another update. Thankfully the Deep Roads weren't as big of a pain in the ass as they were in Origins and they also changed up their appearance, too. I also got through act 1 without a character being knocked out...but I reloaded whenever someone did get knocked out. Now I don't have to worry as much. As far as collectibles go, have everything so far. So hopefully things keep going smoothly.
Popular Post SicilianDragon92
Update #6 Ghostwire: Tokyo 0% > 95% Final Fantasy 0% > 100% Immortals Fenyx Rising 6% > 22% Kingdom Come: Deliverance 39% > 74% Wasteland 3 9% > 35% Mass Effect 3 0% > 100% Middle Earth: Shadow of War 12% > 15% Updates in Bold, swaps (2/4) in Purple and completed games in Blue. Most progress for the last two weeks has been in Ghostwire: Tokyo. My experience with it has been that I loved the first few hours, liked up to the end of the story, and was getting really frustrated by the end of the collectible grind. There’s a really tight and well paced 20ish hour game here, but the extra stuff just ruins it sadly. Collectibles are rarely fun or rewarding by themselves, but even in the realm of mad completionists that we are Ghostwire: Tokyo takes it to a really obnoxious level. There are audio logs, more than 100 relics, investigation notes, 40 yokai hunts, hidden tanukis, more than 1000 spirit clusters, 50 statues, tori gates and to top it all food which is mostly RNG. It was exhausting, and sadly it turns the roaming enemies from giving you a sense of dread to one of annoyance. I really wish the random combat encounters could be toggled off once the story is finished. It reminded me of Alien Isolation in a way, overfamiliarity breed contempt I suppose. Only thing I have left to do is the new update DLC but by the looks of it it’s a rougelike mode and I’m so bored of the combat that I just can’t motivate myself to bother. It was added after I swapped it in anyway so I’m going to consider it complete. I finished Final Fantasy and having never played it before it was an interesting experience. It’s light on story and some of the mechanics are a bit obtuse but not sure what else you can expect from a game that’s more than 30 years old. It is still enjoyable and that’s not something that can be said for a lot of games from the NES era from personal experience. There may not be any more trophies but some progress has been made in the other games too, still working my way through the side quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance for the completionist trophy while cleaning up a few miscellaneous bits. I’m mostly trying to level and gear up in Wasteland 3 so that the story can flow a bit easier. Collectibles are going to be a pain in that one too I fear. With 3 weeks left I’m hopeful I can get another 2 or 3 platinums, though 100% might be a bit optimistic given the many DLCs. Time to start thinking about my summer list.
Popular Post Vulpine9Tails
Another no update week from me this week. I have made zero progress in anything on my list. I recently went through my entire backlog and realized it's like 330 games deep so I've been playing a bunch of other stuff and stuff for the KYC 20 event. Also when everything around you is on fire it kind of makes you think you should just play what you want because you may not get a chance to later.

Popular Post Buff_Cupcake
Update 10: Most of my game time since the last update has been Star Wars related, so here is my update in full Before that though, just wanted to say that everyone's updates have been great to read. It's been so nice to catch up on your progress while I've been commuting in the mornings. Hope you all come over into the summer challenge too! Star Wars Jedi: Survivor I bagged the platinum for this over the weekend and my overall experience pretty much stands - really good Star Wars storyline that is peppered with lots of technical bugs and cracks. Nothing hit me that was game breaking per se. But there were lot's of visual issues that regularly and consistently popped up. It really needed some more time to bake in the oven from an optimization point of view. If you are okay with that, then you will have a great story to play through, especially the second half. Dredge This really really hooked me (pardon the pun) and i'm really loving it so far. It's part cosy fishing game, part horror, part RPG and while the graphics are infinitely more simpler than say, Jedi Survivor, it still has massive amounts of atmosphere and storytelling. I'm really looking forward to seeing where this goes. Destiny 2 rant mode I'm absolutely not going to get the 100% I wanted to for this challenge. It's mainly on me because I underestimated the amount of grind, time and co-ordination needed for it. One of the trophies is also locked behind a seasonal rotation. So it could be the entire year before the dungeon I need actually gets opened in a particular rotation. I also realised that Bungie give absolutely 0 shits about the current trophy list. They stopped releasing trophy packs after a specific expansion and they are generally slow to update any trophy requirements to reflect current content. So trophy support on that front is patchy and intermittent. There is also the matter of the changes that they are bringing into the game this year. There are apparently a series of major content and game-play overhauls in the works for the game all in the run up to the final Destiny 2 expansion - The Final Shape. So what that means for trophies, I have no idea. I still love this game, even though I came into it very late and I'm going to be playing every season from now on up to the final expansion. But I'm hoping they just rip the band-aid off and make the trophies easier to obtain or more accessible at the very least to get it over with. The week ahead: I'm going to be playing Dredge and Destiny 2! Pretty straightforward one this week. Have a good week everyone and i'll see you in the next update ? Popular Post StilRh
Hey loves. My mood has been super low this week and so I've not really been up for gaming much. I did play a little though. I played Shantae: Half genie hero and mopped up lots of the trophies. As I had forgotten the mechanics I started a fresh save and pretty much went through the entire game again. I just need the speed runs (I hate speed running usually) to platinum the game now. This game has oodles of DLC, each with their own speed run requirements that I'll likely bang my head against before the challenge is over. I've loved listening to Christina Vee's voice acting, she's one of my favourite voice actors I've started to play Chained Echos again. No trophies towards this but leveled a few doods up and refamiliarising myself with the plot. I've hit a few more dungeons in Nobody Saves the World as part of my NG+ playthrough. Off-list I've played Age of Wonders 4. It's as amazing as I thought it would be, shame I've not beenin the right frame of mind to enjoy it fully. I also started Defence Grid 2 one afternoon as I wanted a low pressure game to mess around in whilst I was in a funk. I can always platinum this at a later stage. For this next week I'd like to finish Nobody of Shantae and then get further in one of the other games I've been playing recently. I've tried to remove play Steins;gate elite from my PS5 to my vita - but that doesn't seem to be a thing you can do. I may install onto my PS4 and try this so I can play in bed on the nights I can't sleep. Have a lovely week guys. Taruta13
Hey @StilRh, there's an exploit where you can use the Jug Dance in the bath house to get 999 gems and just buy everything. Since you are in the water, which refills your MP, using the Jug Dance won't deplete your MP while you're in the water, so you can smash the analog stick to make Shantae spit up lots of big gems worth 10 gems or more, just get all the Attracts to drag them to you. Also, you can take your time in there as the in-game timer pauses while in the bathhouse. That's how you can get the 100% run done without worry.

Taruta13
Well, I am certainly glad I moved Hogwarts Legacy from this event to Summer because JoRaptor put a video saying that the devs had to put out a patch which fixed a lot of game-shattering bugs, including one involving one of the field guide pages not registering when collected. For those of you who don't get the 100% collection pop, this is probably why, because the field guide page flying around the main fountain was not registering. They couldn't fix it so they added a blank page which you can get at the statue of Gregory by using Revelio which would take its place. I hope that helps anyone who had trouble with the platinum.

While we have been able to avoid any evacuations, neighbours just a few miles down the road and a town of nearly 8,000 were forced to leave. Finished off MLB the Show before the fires started, completing the last 2 offline modes to earn the platinum. With the unpredictability of life right now I wasn't sure If I wanted to start Heavy Rain, knowing how long it took me on the Ps3 to earn the platinum. So I decided to use my second swap to change out Heavy Rain for Final Fantasy from the Pixel Remastered collection. This game was a huge part of my childhood, where my older cousins and I would each control a character and we would play through it as a group (as the youngest I always was forced to be the white mage). I like the addition of the boosts for XP and Gil, it allowed those of us who have gone through the grind before in our lives to simply sit back and enjoy the game. I didn't have to do any power leveling before a boss to beat the game. Kind of excited to try out the others from the pixel remasted collection as I have played many of them, but haven't finished 2-6. Popular Post Heather342
Update #8 Hey everyone, hope you are all well. I managed to finish up Shadow of the Colossus last week. Overall it was a fantastic game and I really enjoyed my time with it. Even though my first playthrough had me feeling awful for killing the colossi, by the 5th or 6th run through for the max health/stamina trophy the guilt kinda lost its impact on me ?. Also the trophy for taking down Colossus 3 without breaking his wrist guard was quite tricky, mainly due to the dodgy camera angles at times. Some of the time trials were pretty tight too. Glad I finally played this one. Other than that not too much progress elsewhere. I completed another ending on SMT 3. I'm now grinding out the remaining misc trophies before tackling the last few ending trophies. I'm still on track to have the plat as my 5000th trophy. I really should get back to Horizon, but I've been distracted with Overwatch (playing for fun like a crazy person ?), as well as practicing score attack in Persona 4 Arena. I still suck, but I think I'm improving albeit very slowly ?. I've managed to beat Yosuke 5 times now ?. Unfortunately still can't get past Naoto, but I'm sure I'll get there eventually! Keep up the great work everyone! Trophy progress: - Shadow of the Colossus - 44 -> 100% - SMT 3 Nocturne - 62 -> 64% Pending games: - Horizon Call of the Mountain - 9% Completed games: - Spiderman Remastered - Legend of Dragoon Swaps used (1/4) - Red Dead Redemption 2 -> Shadow of the Colossus

I might be able to still beat this list, may have to make use of my last two swaps, but if I don't then I don't, I've got plenty of games I want to play right now, so I definitely wouldn't be against throwing a couple more short ones in here, as they're all games that have been on my radar or my backlog for a while, so I'm still going to consider that a win once I get to them! Now that I've finished Kona, I think it's time to boot up Yooka-Laylee, especially as playing a shitload of Super Mario Odyssey the last week and a half couch co-op with @Redblaziken8 has given me a real hankering for a collectathon style game..... Is Yooka-Laylee going to suck compared to that game..... Probably yes.... but I reckon I'll still try and have a good time with it anyway. Plus I'm a pretty positive person anyway, so I'm sure I'll be able to find something to like about it..... Unless it's Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, that game can get naked cover itself in honey, smack a wasps nest with a stick, then walk around to Winnie the Pooh's house..... Erm.... anyway, being reminded of that game, sort of..... makes my brain melt So I guess instead I'll paste in my thoughts about Kona, which you awesome folks can of course read, or not read ? Kona (PS4) Kona is an interesting little game, if you have about ten hours free over the next five days, and you're subscribed to PSPlus Extra or Premium, I'd consider giving this one a look before it disappears off the service. I'd heard for a good while that this game falls under the walking simulator umbrella, but it doesn't really, aspects of it do, sure, but for the most part it really isn't. Do you spend the majority of your game time walking, yes? More if you're trophy hunting - is that a problem? No, not really. I personally really enjoyed the way It's grounded in a little bit of reality, despite the game taking the odd supernatural turn towards the end - which, I'll avoid spoilers for, for obvious reasons. But hey, put it this way, in a game where you play as an older gentleman, I liked the fact that you had to keep him warm and toasty, and give him a nice warm coat for the cold weather or his mental health suffers. which is in itself a core mechanic of the game. One of the things the game does really quite well is atmosphere, it evokes the specific feeling of isolation and loneliness in a really interesting way, and uses sound design really effectively in a few spots to build tension rather well. The game itself has absolutely loads of character, and although not every single thing hits the way the developers wanted it to, I can most definitely appreciate the effort. Is the game a little overambitious? Perhaps, but that's not something I'm ever going to criticise a development team for, it's also nice to know that an indie game like this with real potential has a sequel, so I'm glad this game ended up getting made via kickstarter! Lovely as ever to see you all smashing through those completions, I really need to up my game with those this year, I'm being a bit unproductive by picking up and putting games that have been on my backlog for years down.... But still, progress is progress as they say.... Whoever they are....

Taruta13
Glad I could help. Sadly, now I have lost my Vita, Rest In Peace. Didn't even bother taking it out of the family vehicle. Don't feel like replacing it this month as I have been buying the FF2 and FF3 Pixel Remasters on Switch as something to do aside from grinding out Audino in Virbank Ciomplex. So I don't know how much money I can afford, since the Amazon prices for a Vita are around $234. I will get a new Vita, just not feeling it at the moment as I don't game on the go much(except for my walks and visits to the gym) and I have a lot of KEMCO RPGs I need to knock out to clear my backlog. But I'm glad my personal experience helped you out.

I had to attempt the 1 minute speed run about 10 times before I got it. Somehow I managed it first time, but skipped the credits not knowing that it voids the trophy. Every attempt after that I kept blocking the secret door from opening properly. I was really happy after it was done though and then took my time finding all of the directors commentary. I love stuff like this, I used to love listening to directors commentary on films too, so I listened to it all. I enjoyed the game overall which is quite funny since my partner played it when it first came out and I couldn’t understand why anyone would want to play a game where you just walk around lol. Now I play all kinds of walking simulators and really enjoy most of them. Next up, my last game, Man of Medan Outside of the event I roped my partner into playing Sackboy with me and the 6 year old. I asked her if she felt she could do the 10 levels without dying in co-op with me and she said no. Arcade Game Series: Galaga-100% April 9 Dragon Age II-40=>41% The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion-100% April 16 Wonder Boy Collection-100% March 18 Swaps used-3/4 Didn't really feel like playing much tonight, but didn't want to have a day with zero progress, either, so decided to go ahead and fight Xebenkeck (an optional boss) for the trophy. It was pretty tough. Thought I was going to die a couple times, but managed to get it done.

I was going to swap out again in the Summer Backlog list, but if you can platinum Dragon Age II this month, I will try to do a 100% platinum of Zodiac Age even though I am not confident I can get it done before the Summer Backlog ends. Only played about 15 minutes tonight.
Popular Post SicilianDragon92
Update 7 Ghostwire: Tokyo 0% > 95% Final Fantasy 0% > 100% Immortals Fenyx Rising 6% > 22% Kingdom Come: Deliverance 39% > 86% Wasteland 3 9% > 35% Mass Effect 3 0% > 100% Kona 0% Updates in Bold, swaps (3/4) in Purple and completed games in Blue. This one is a mini-update really since have not had much time outside of work. Exam season begins next week though and with it my free time increases so might be able to accelerate to the finish. As mentioned last time the dlc to Ghostwire: Tokyo was released after the challenge started so I’m going to consider that complete despite not having finished Spider’s thread mode. My only progress has been with Kingdom Come. I’ve finished the completionist trophy and now have a few things to tidy up before the platinum. 100% will not be achievable since it requires a further playthrough in hardcore mode and that would take too long. Am hoping to finish the platinum before the end of the challenge though and I’ll be satisfied with that. It’s a great game I have really enjoyed and if anyone else is considering it then give it a long look as it can be very frustrating to begin with. I am also taking the advice of rjkclarke and swapping in Kona. From their description it sounds right up my street and so I have 3 days to finish it. Hope it exceeds my expectations. Popular Post Redblaziken8
Update 7: 1) Hue PS4 - 0% 2) God of War: Chains of Olympus PS3 - 50% > 74% > 100% 3) Titanfall 2 PS4 - 8% > 10% > 17% > 100% 4) Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order PS5 - 2% > 29% >100% 5) The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker PS4 - 0% 6) Borderlands 2 PS4 - 15% > 27% > 42% > 49% > 60% 7) Life is Strange: True Colours > 100% Games complete: 4/7 Swaps: 1/4 Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order > 100% It's good to finally have the platinum in this game after coming back to it a couple of times before with other people and then finally just deciding to play it myself. I really enjoyed this game, the story and the gameplay. A game that makes you feel like a Jedi? Gotta be fun - for me anyways! The only thing I wasn't too keen on in this game is the platforming - which can be a bit janky at times, and the map is hard to navigate. Also who decided not to put fast travel in this game? Getting back to the ship after completing an area was a bit of a faff, to the point I just used a video guide to avoid getting lost. I did enjoy the story a lot, and seeing Cal get stronger throughout was cool, so it was nice that beating the story was the last trophy needed for that platinum pop. I'm definitely going to be getting Survivor, but not for a while because I'm a cheap ass who will wait a while. Borderlands 2 > 60% Me and @rjkclarke finished the Torgue DLC, apart from the stuff that requires level 50 to do, kinda annoying really as I like seeing those 100%s in each DLC pack before moving on really, but my character is only at level 38 right now, so I'll have to go back to those at a later date. I'm still really enjoying my time with this, and it's been nice to have a long couch co-op I can play with Rob, it just takes us ages to get through it what was us being a long distance couple. I'm looking forward to getting back to this next week when I see him again ?. It's been nice to read all of your updates, keep smashing that backlog progress and I'll see you in the next one! Marsupilami Hoobadventure - 100% ☑️ Not a huge update this time but I have finally made some progress. I blitzed through about 6 chapters in Mafia and then stopped for.... No reason really. I just realized we are two weeks into May and I have no Platinums yet, so I started another Pic a Pix game. Still, I really should play more stuff on my list since the end is in sight. I should be done with TW3 on Monday so that's exciting. I honestly don't know if I'll finish any other games before the end of the Spring event and I'm actually tempted to skip the Summer one due to my mental health being garbage right now and I really just want to do what I seen a few YouTubers do and just pick a game to play via randomizer. That sounds fun as heck and I think I would just do it for the game of the day rather than next platinum but maybe that'll depend on what game it picks. Anyways, that was a tangent. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
