Popular Post LastMinuteSavior
Hotshot Swot! Unlock every trophy. Cool retro visuals, an awesome soundtrack and extremely fun gameplay. Not gonna lie, the Platinum requires a huge amount of grind, but I enjoyed the game so much that it wasn't too bad to go through it. Part of my enjoyment came from the very competitive A.I. opponents. They were always challenging without ever feeling unfair. In fact, this might be the best, most well programmed rubber band A.I. I have ever faced in a racing game. Kudos to the devs for that.

Popular Post Jermster_91
#104 Death Stranding If you had asked me two to three years ago if I would ever go for the platinum for this game, much less play it, I would have said no, that it didn't interest me. Considering I just got the Platinum for the game, I changed my mind. With it being on PS+ Extra, decided to give it a go and at the very least if I didn't like it, it would just be on my trophy list unfinished. However, I did finish it. Hearing be referred to as a "walking simulator", to me, is a turn off. I have found that as I have gotten older, open world games such as Death Stranding aren't as fun. You just seem to be going back and fourth. However with that said, I kind of liked it with Death Stranding. There was a calming like effect, I am just gonna enjoy the beautiful world while I make deliveries. I imagine those that have played the game might have a different take on the game, but I enjoyed seeing the terrain and streams when I would encounter a new area. Add in the occasional music that would play while walking, and it was perfect. The story was good, although I admit I didn't full grasp what it was trying to to tell or the background of what caused the Death Stranding but I enjoyed it. It took me a little over 94 Hours of gameplay to get the Platinum. Will I go for the Directors Cut? Maybe but I might wait a little while before I do that.

Popular Post MrGarland
Platinum #139 Knockout City (PS5 version) Difficulty: 2/10 Playtime: 62 hours Enjoyment: 10/10 Remember when this was a free PS+ game earlier this year? I certainly do, and that was actually the first time I heard about it. I have no idea why it took me that long to discover it. Better late than never. Isn't that what they say? Anyway, originally I planned to play the PS4 version and get the platinum from it. However, because I was too busy back then, I had to cancel that plan. When I started using the PS5, I decided to resume that plan, but do the PS5 version instead because why not. What about the game? It's basically playing dodgeball. That's pretty much it. I have to admit, I honestly didn't know what to expect from it when I started it. Once I learned everything and played it for about a few hours, I actually started to enjoy it more. I usually don't play F2P* games too much, but I thought I'd give this one a try. And I'm glad I did. I actually had a lot of fun with this one. Sure, there were times when my team faced an overwhelming pressure against the opponents who crushed us and played like a bunch of pros, but I don't mind losing. As long as I have fun, that's all that matters. Of course, there was at least one time when a teammate decided to be an absolute troll and throw me into the abyss while I was in a ball form... There's not much else I have to say about the game. The trophies were simple, but two of them glitched on me. Glug Glug took me at least 4 days before I finally got it. Catch-o-matic, on the other hand, glitched in a good way. It popped after I managed to catch 993 balls, despite that you need to catch a total of 1000. Probably because I played catch with that bot in the hideout a few times, perhaps they counted as well? Other than that, the rest of them I managed to get naturally since I played against bots many times (based on their names which had really simple names, I'm going to assume they were bots) which made getting certain trophies a cakewalk, while few of them required help from other players. Luckily, I was added to the boosting group and got those done. Naturally, we helped each other and still do in case someone needs help. So yeah, it may be a simple concept, but I had really fun playing this. Even though I have the platinum, I'll play this every now and then. It was that enjoyable to me. So in case you enjoyed dodgeball in school, try this one. It might be a game for you. I'm also going to include a bonus for this one which is a couple of trophy video clips I got while playing. And yes, that's my character. Like I've said earlier, I'm not that good when it comes to designing characters, so I decided to make something simple. That mad scientist voice is easily my favorite one. *Prior to June 2022, you had to purchase it which I had to do when I started it. Platinum #140 Scarlet Nexus (PS5 version) Difficulty: 2/10 Playtime: 43 hours Enjoyment: 10/10 (game), 8/10 (anime) Brainpunk. It seems that Bandai Namco isn't afraid to try something new. While it may not be anything too special, I decided to try it when I got the chance. Also, unlike Code Vein, I actually heard about this a few months before its release. Since then, I've been anticipating trying this one whenever I'd get a chance. Now that I've got the platinum, what can I say about the game itself? I might as well keep it short this time. I had my expectations towards this, but after playing it for a while, I can say that the anticipation paid off. The major selling points for me were the gameplay and soundtrack. You get to play with psychokinesis, mixed with the abilities your allies have. You can also go crazy with the special ability known as Brain Field later in the game. Think it as a Glitch Mode from the Death end re;Quest games. You also get a nice soundtrack that goes well with the "brainpunk" theme. However, the major feature for me besides the gameplay and soundtrack was the fact that you have two playable characters. You can select to experience either Yuito's or Kasane's story. They both have their unique cutscenes, as well as certain bosses, before they all join together to save the world. This made the game an interesting experience for me. The last time I've seen this feature was in Tales of Xillia and I actually liked it. The story may seem confusing to follow at times, but once you start the second playthrough and see the exclusive cutscenes, the plot starts to become more clear. And yeah, I decided to start the game as Yuito as that felt like a natural choice. I also got used to his fighting style more easily than Kasane's. As for negatives, there's isn't really that much. Actually, my biggest complaint is that whenever you or your teammates' health bar drops to a critical level, it makes an obnoxiously loud sound. It's nice to tell to me that the character is about to be knocked out, but they didn't have to do it that way. You also can't turn it off, no matter what. I also found Kodama rather annoying. Mainly because she doesn't sound that great in English. Just some minor nitpicks. I should point out that I also watched the anime adaptation based on this game. Long story short, it pretty much follows the game's events for the most part. It does offer something new like everything shown in the final episode, but that's pretty much it. The Musubi Codes were also a good idea and I actually managed to spot a few of them. The only thing that I don't like about the anime are the character designs. They don't look as good as they do in the game. I also had a hard time getting used to Karen's JP VA. He doesn't sound as good as he does in English dub. Other than that, there's not much else to say. Overall, the experience was worth it. It may not be anything too special, but it proved itself to be enjoyable regardless. It was also a good way to conclude my summer vacation. I'm not going to finish all the quests, optional battles and challenges at the moment, as those would take me a long time to do so, though I did manage to get about half of the challenges done, which includes most of the speedrun challenges, as well as the one where you have to clear the game without using items. The latter one was actually pretty hard, despite that I played on the easiest setting. The reason I say that is because there were times I got reckless and almost got myself knocked out which would've led to game over and reloading the save file. Luckily, items used by your allies don't count, and they were lifesavers during those situations. Note: I'm not posting a platinum image for this one and that's because of one reason. It's nothing but a black screen. Instead, I'll be using the following image. Well, it speaks for itself, but at least I chuckled a bit when I saw that. PS. Hanabi is the best girl. Yeah, Kasane is cool, but I found Hanabi to be my favorite. I don't care that she represents the classic childhood friend who also has a crush on the protagonist type of character. She is what she is. Also, her name suits the ability she has. Next project: I have the next few games I'm going to play planned. Most of them I'm looking forward to, while one of them, not so much. Before I get to the latter one, I thought I'd take things nicely and moderately challenging by finishing a certain puzzle platformer I hold very dear. I've actually resumed it recently and... Man, how much I missed it. Edited July 28, 2022 by MrGarland
AmazingNoeder
Platinum 1200 DOWNWELL A very interesting game, at the same time that you love the game you will hate it, the game itself is very good, it will fuck you real hard and make you angry and at the same time it is addictive and you don't want to stop playing, I had to give it a break because i started playing for only 15 min and it took 4 hours I had to take a break for some time on it This 4 min video shows some of my pain on this plat https://youtu.be/TZAGKsPlHzc Platinum comes down to completing hard mode, doing this is basically getting the plat from hard to normal the difference is an abyss, the game itself I found very difficult, is so hard that it is technically possible to platinum in 40 min, but any normal player takes 35- 50+hours This is my run on hard, it was a very good run, I managed to get to the boss with 10 health which is a lot, my fourth area was mess, lack of jetpack was really fucking the run and rng wasn't helping, I technically got the plat 2 times, since i completed hard on vita before, as I wanted to record the run I did it again on ps4, there's a video of the time that I killed the boss on hard on vita inside my run video https://youtu.be/hBoTIJ-AMuk You gonna need very good reflexes and split-second decision making, the RNG factor will interfere a lot too I could write a bible talking about the delicious experience of this game but that's enough lol I just want the shotgun to go fuck yourself , frog, red eye ball, bat and the whole first area on hard can go burn in hell too Edited July 25, 2022 by AmazingNoeder
