A moment of macabre realization:

“The Mind will always receive its Purification last. The Mind is unique in that, while the Body and Soul have only one Blessed Agony, the Mind has three, which must all be experienced to fully Purify the Mind. These three are Tedium, Fear, and Madness."

Tedium - The Grind

Fear - Of Freezes and Loss of Progress

Madness - I Don't Even Need To Explain This

Fellow survivors, we've got Mind Purified.

Dragon is secretly an Agent of Chzo confirmed.

Took me 617 hours. But that was more because I've ended up doing Edge's kills twice due to the freeze.
So, without the freeze... take about 60 hours away.

Lol  . Usually it varies from 350-600 hours, though platting it under 400 hours is very rare.

Well, there is-

Tales of Phantasia (SNES\PS1, Japan-only, translated) Mobile port doesn't exist, I can't hear you, la-la.

Tales of Destiny (PS1)

Tales of Eternia (PS1\PSP)

Tales of Destiny: Director's Cut (PS2, Japan only) - somewhat different story than PS1 version, basically accepted true version of ToD events for the Tales canon

Tales of Destiny 2 (PS2, Japan only)

Tales of Symphonia (GC\PS2\PS3)

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii, PS3)

Tales of Rebitrh (PS2\PSP, Japan only)

Tales of Legendia (PS2)

Tales of Abyss (PS2)

Tales of Innocence (DS, Japan only, translated) and\or Tales of Innocence R (Vita, Japan only)

Tales of Vesperia (PS3, Japan only, or X360, localized)

Tales of Hearts(DS, Japan only) and\or Tales of Hearts R (Vita)

Tales of Graces f (PS3)

Tales of Xillia I & II (PS3)

Tales of Zestiria (PS3\PS4)

Tales of Berseria (PS3\PS4)

So, the overall is... eighteen. Aka a lot. Still much less than all of SMT, though...

I'm still waiting for a Tales of Vesperia ps4/vita localization. I want to plat that game sooo bad.

:hmm: when I recommended Tales of Symphonia I didn't know I'd create a monster lol

Sweet

Since it seems you're counting nonmain titles, you're skipping a fair bit. (You even missed ToS) (I know it is mentioned in the thread, but you should probably put it in the list for completion's sake)

Tales of Symphonia (GC, PS2, PS3)

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii, PS3)

Tales of Graces (Wii)

Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon (GBC)

Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X  (PSP)

Tales of Fandom 1 (PS)

Tales of Fandom 2 (PS2)

Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 2 (GBA)

Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3 (GBA)

Tales of the World: Summoner's Lineage (GBA)

Tales of the Tempest (DS) (The one no one should acknowledge)

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology (PSP)

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2 (PSP)

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3 (PSP)

Tales of VS. (PSP)

Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave (PSP)

Tales of the World: Reve Unitia (3DS)

And then there are a bunch of mobile and browser games.

Er, I'm pretty sure that all games that I've listed are mothership titles.

Also, added Symphonia back to the list, my bad.

Adding escorts will be going overboard, I think. It's not like SMT, where every single game is important to the timeline in its own way, after all.

Guess you're right that you only listed mothership titles (I always though that the original ToI was not considered a mothership title considering how ugly it is)

Every SMT is important to the timeline? Last time I checked, Devil Survivor was independent to other SMT games, and the Persona games were all independent of each other.

Regardless, TotW3 is probably 2nd place on my favorite Tales of game.

Actually, every game is a node of the Amala Network, reachable through the Akarana Corridor. Even if the connection isn't traceable, and the nodes are separate, like with Majin Tensei and Devil Survivor, they are a part of a whole.

And Persona is connected to the main timeline due to the Raidou's shenanigans in the Akarana Corridor. His actions prevent the Tokyo from being nuked, creating the separate timeline that leads to the events of SMT If... From there on, the Persona and Devil Summoner timeline takes place, until the Innocent Sin, which changes the timeline again, creating the modern Persona timeline, which starts with Eternal Punishment  and ends, for now, with Persona 5.

The Zelda Timeline has nothing on the SMT Multiverse, really.

I admit that I'm not a SMT fan or know much about the overarching plot, but honestly with everything reachable from a single location, it sounds more like a crossover game.

Oh well, I'll just argue that if you're going to play the Tales of series, you should at least play the TotW games to see the skits that unite the various parts of teh fandom together.

(And no I do not need analysis of things as large as the Nasuverse in my life)

Passed the 15k mark for Edge in kills and got all of his drops. I apparently passed the 15k mark without even knowing - I guess that is what I get for spamming the :cross: button while watching House M.D. Once that is done, I am going to work on Bacchus's drops. Doing 60k kills manually takes a lot of patience. Thank goodness Netflix exists or else this would be super painful.

Nice, congrats :yay: . Bacchus' drops are quite painful to do.

Oh, you Persona folks have no idea how deep the rabbit hole goes. :awesome:

Meh, we dragons just ignite the rabbit hole and wait for the food to reach the surface. By that time they're usually crispy enough to eat. Simple and clean effective :awesome: .
