....still unsure how I feel about RE6, but it's leaning to...less than positive. Some of the environments are cool looking though and have a creepy atmosphere.

 

 

I boosted the online trophies for Tron Evolution a while back and decided to start playing the main game. Control can be finicky at times, but so far I'm liking the game.
After a couple hours of that, I felt like playing Tetris, specifically Tetris on PS3 that was released digitally by EA before being delisted in the Great Tetris Purge. It was a good day as I was able to complete all the variant game modes on level 15 and got those two trophies above in the process. Flashlight and Laser gave me the most trouble.

Combo rank is determined by damage, not number of hits. A combo that does 1.000+ damage is an OOTW. I got this one using Floyd on Mania mode in stage 2, the police precinct. On Mania mode, this is IMO one of the better places to get Combo Master. Cutting loose with Floyd's star move into a big crowd really racks it up. I had 1.008 damage when the combo ended.

The game was a bit shorter then I expected. I certainly didn't expect it to beat it more or less the same day while taking multiple breaks between levels. Other than a couple light cycle segments, the game plays the same throughout so it's better that it's short then drag out too long. Also collectables during racing segments should be a sin. The camera got kinda wonky at times. I'd try to line up for a jump or something and the camera would move resulting in me jumping off a wall in the wrong direction or run off a cliff. As a fan of the franchise, I mostly enjoyed it. Now I need to grind levels to buy all the upgrades and beat the game on the highest difficulty. Gonna have to boost those light cycle kills though.

Some trophy advice:

   Chock Full sounds more complicated that intended in the guide.  As soon as you get the Peanut item, equip it in the left hand slot.  Stand somewhere (preferably in a save room or a connector) with a flat landing surface.  Use the item.  Alucard will toss the peanut in the air; stand underneath it when it falls to use the item.  The trophy will pop when you catch and eat it.  

 

   Running on Schmooze Control really ramps down the difficulty as soon as you get it.  Wait until you get a Ring of Arcana and all of the Alucart gear to boost your Luck stat and chance for enemies to drop rare items.  Equip them, then head to the Necromancy Laboratory in the Inverted Castle.  Go to a northeast room in this area, one in which you enter from the left side of the screen.  Two Schmooes will fly at you before a Scarecrow arrives.  Kill them both; and if it doesn't drop, quickly exit and re-enter.  Got the trophy much faster this way.
