Naruto_Senju92
To be honest this is really unfair to have a weekend without nioh right now. Same release for everyone!
SolidJD
People can get it early through legit means or non-legit means. Many of them are normally game reviewers/YouTubers who will get it early from either Sony or the company who developed the game. It's still got a WW Release Date of 8th Feb for the rest of us mere mortals.
StrickenBiged
Some of those are definitely media people. E.g. @PowerPyx is a trophy guide YouTuber and @Moriarty-IGN is now part of Kinda Funny Games. I don't recognise the other usernames, but assume they're similar media-types. Reviewers, "influencers", that sort of thing.

Popular Post DaivRules
Does someone else playing a *video game* before you really ruin your experience? Does anybody doing anything before you ruin your experience? Real adult life is gonna be roooooooooough if you answer yes to either of the above questions.
Gho-Zti
People getting games early isn't exactly a new thing. I have a retailer that sends out copies up to a week before release and stores in general break street dates for almost every major release nowadays. If you really want to get your hands on a game early, just ask around if such a retailer is available for you.

TooruPT
Pre-release copies. Some reviews are out so it's hardly surprising.
andyscout
Mostly review copies, myself included. If you think getting a game a week early is something, don't look at my trophies for Persona 4 Dancing. I had the platinum for that a month before the game came out. SnowxSakura
Some stores break street dates too, seen it happen with xillia and the MGS HD collection
fbdbh
I got a review copy as well. I usually get PS-exclusives for review, and they give them so early, they don't even have trophy lists when I first start them. And I don't play them until they do
Sigma999
Usually it's cause reviewers generally receive a copy of the upcoming game weeks before the actual launhc to have time to play the game in at least a significante amount of time i order to make a review an/or analysis of the said game ready to be posted at tbe time of launch . And in other cases , it's cause the stores break the launch date and decide to start selling the game before the launch day and people get it from there before anybody else . So don't feel bad about Nioh case because it tends to happen in a variety of other games aswell and i'll still happen in the future. Just Deak with it and move on . In two days from now you can already get it so no big deal imo .

Won't that just make more people create new whiny threads about not being able to play games at the same time as someone else?
DF007gamer
Another one of these threads again So what if someone else plays a game before it's released. You going to get it anyway.

Yea, probably. So... those will become Youtubers as well, which will make companies stop giving out pre-release copies. Problem solved
