Update: I managed to get the Red and Blue endings on lone survivor, thought I screw some trophies I could have got in that playtrought, I'll go now for the green ending and maybe the White Ending if it possible to grind it on the same Green playrought.

 

in other news i was about to buy TWD: Season One but there's a problem at the bank that blocks my credit card, I won't be able to fix it until Monday... so I hope I'll be able to downloaded fast to get the plat by 31st

Just finished Salt & Sanctuary. Left the Unspeakable Deep for last. For some reason, it was quite the struggle for me. Died more than the sum of all of my attempts at other bosses across my 1.4 walkthrus. Great game, though. 

 

Think I'll replace Grim Fandango with Nightmares from the Deep and get it done by the end of the weekend.

Bummed the second week of Halloween sales was a bust.

So yeah, I'm behind on The Evil Within. My wife kind of insisted on a Stranger Things marathon today. (Not that I minded. Great show!) I'll keep working for the platinum, but I actually dont see it happening pre-Halloween because of other stuff going on. I completed a couple of extra games along the way so I've actually made 13 plays already. I'll swap my list around if I need to but I want to finish this in time if I can.

Platinumed The Escapists and almost have Party Hard finished up. Also, I'm switching The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and What Remains of Edith Finch into my list in place of The Deadly Tower of Monsters and The Walking Dead: Season 2. This leaves my list as follows:

About that.. I complete a couple of extra games as well  so I might as well add them later? but as for the Spooky ones, I super close of plating Lone Survivor  thought I'll need a 3rd playtrought to get the Expert, Grounded an Antagonist trophies, I can easily do that in about 2-3 hoursby shooting everything,  but there's other really simple that only requires you to use your personal stereo but in my two playtroughts the item was not given to me (is not something you find is an item it may be given to you by one NPC), so it would be really cool to get that trophy in the same playtrought ?

Alright, last update before the event ends. I decided that Bloodborne has to be my 50th platinum, and right now I'm at 49, so we'll have to see if I can finish the last few chalice dungeons in the next 2 days to make that happen. I don't think I'll count that for this event though because I only had 3 trophies left in the base game before this even started. So I'm probably going to end this out with 9 plats for the event. I ended up dropping Resident Evil Revelations because the raid mode was just way too grindy and I'll chip away at it over time.

Lots of great games, only a couple duds really.  White Night took the wind out of my sails for a while, I guess it was not so bad, just not good for me. Dying: Reborn and Goosebumps were not great. Otherwise, good games.

Those last two chalice dungeons are rough. I was stuck on them for a week or two each.

would it be too much of a cop out to change on the last day from saw 2 to some quick 1-2 hour game? I’m still gonna try starting Saw 2 tonight but if I don’t have the plat by like 9pm tomorrow I might go for the quick and “cheap” out.

Happy Halloween. I got home from my office last night and immediately fell asleep so there's no chance in hell that I'm gonna get Saw 2 done today.

 

So tonight after work I gotta find the cheapest fastest horror game and race against the clock to get it done before midnight.

Hey hey! Happy Halloween to everyone. Please post any last minute list changes or games completed etc. I'm planning to verify everyone's completions and update the main thread tomorrow evening, but its always helpful if I see your posts that inform about your updates. I'll send the earned badges out through the private message feature. I should have that step completed on the weekend at the very latest. 

 

I failed and I came no where close on The Evil Within. I haven't quit the game but my last few days where I thought I had plenty of time to play haven't worked out that way because real life stuff cropping up. I have finished 13 plats during the event without that game but I did want to get that one for the challenge it represented. I'm still working on it and it should be my 40th platinum.

I also want to go ahead and bring up the Christmas event. Its going to start Thanksgiving Day and end on New Years Day. Its going to follow the Code of the Elves from the movie Elf. The code has three tenants and your game choices must represent those. Completion will mean either platinum or 100%. You can finish things already on your trophy list but please dont stage everything early. I'll post a couple example games but I had trouble being more comprehensive because the themes of games arent always obvious by covers or titles like with Halloween types.

 

1. Treat Everyday Like Christmas - Complete a game that is set during Christmas or a winter wonderland. Also acceptable is a game with a significant holiday DLC but both the main game and the specific DLC must be completed. 

 

examples: The Division, Batman Arkham Origins, Saints Row 4 (DLC), Costume Quest 2 (DLC)

 

2. There's Room for Everyone on the Nice List - Complete a game where a bad guy that becomes good by the end. You can also play something with morale choices where you can be evil or good. It's recommended you be evil first and then good for the theme but either way is fine.

 

Examples: Red Dead Redemption, Grim Fandango, Infamous, Mass Effect.

 

3. The Best Way to Spread Christmas Cheer is Singing Loud for all to Hear - For this one play any music based game, but I highly encourage a karaoke type game if you can manage it. 

 

Examples: Singstar Celebration, We Sing, Just Dance, Guitar Hero, Sound Shapes

 

BONUS: For an extra narwhal-themed badge you can complete a bonus game. 

 

Bye Buddy. I Hope You Find Your Dad - Complete a game that involves finding/reuniting with your dad. 

 

Examples: Song of the Deep, Fallout 3, The Walking Dead Season One.

I’m proud to announce that with a last minute change I now have completed my 13 platinums of Halloween. I would have liked to get Saw 2 done but due to extenuating circumstances I just didn’t have the time. Though it seems like that’s fine because Saw 2 definitely fits the “bad guy goes good” theme for the upcoming Christmas challenge, so looks like everything worked out in the end!

 

Here is my final list with the games in the order I platinumed them.

I finished all my games a week ago (just a reminder) but I can't wait to see everyone's shiny badges from the event! 

 

I want to thank you again @Toogie53 for hosting this. I know I had lots of fun getting a bunch of games (and a few others not listed) off my backlog; even though I'm pretty sure I added about the same amount back lol  Not sure if I'll participate in another event for a while since work can get pretty hectic but I'll be around and may show up to see how everyone is doing.
