Watchmen = 5$

Predator Collection = 10$

Pulp Fiction = 2$

Man with the Iron Fists = 15$

American Horror Story Season 1 = 30$

Dredd = 15$

Silent Hill / Silent Hill Revelations = 35$

Well, since I screwed up my DVD collection with a lot of 'great' movies I won't watch more than twice in my life (even though I thought differently at the time) I'm now really careful with my BluRay collection. Only movies which are truly OUTSTANDING get in. Like:

Fight Club (mentioned before)

Shawshank Redemption (must have)

Big Fish (!!!)

Forest Gump (classic)

Dances with Wolves (epic classic)

Stand by my (^)

oh.. and some obvious ones :P

The Big Lebowski (nobody mentioned this one before?!)

The Godfather (1-3)

The Simpsons: The Movie (seriously)

Everything else has already been mentioned I think. Everything I could come up with that is.

Have fun.

EDIT: Oh, and just that you can get a movie cheap does not mean it belongs in your collection. Don't make the same mistake I made and fill your home with half-decent movies you won't ever watch again. Always ask yourself: Is this movie good enough that I will watch it every other year?

Someone suggested Lord of the Rings, but seriously you HAVE to get the Lord of the Rings Triogy: EXTENDED EDITION Blu-ray boxset, it is truly spectacular. I don't know if these movies are your cup of tea, but I'd also highly recommend. Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk (2008), Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Pirates of the Caribbean 1,2,3,4....blu ray truly makes the waves glisten and the jungles looks incredible. The POTC series is a great family series as well (possibly a bit scary for young ones though.

It's actually just called Dredd for the remake.

Oops, good catch. I wouldn't want anyone mistaking one for the other.

You know there is little hope for a movie when it's best part is a one-liner from Rob Schneider. lol

Ted. Really good film.

And it's got Mila Kunis in it. Enough said

Was gonna suggest that but there it was right at the start lol. Just watched it 10th time today. So good. :D But even though Mila is hot, Marky Mark Wahlberg is the boomb.

Back to the Future Trilogy

28 Days & 28 Weeks Later

I'd suggest the Stanley Kubrick Limited Edition Collection, although it depends a lot on your taste. With Kubrick movies it's either love or hate them, there's no real in-between. Also, anything from Tarantino is worth having as part of a collection... From Reservoir Dogs to Django Unchained it's all brilliant stuff.

Other movies I'd suggest are:

  • American History X
  • Trainspotting
  • In Bruges
  • Saving Private Ryan
  • Memento
  • The Exorcist
  • Apocaypse Now Redux
  • Snatch
  • La vita è bella (Life is Beautiful)
  • The Pianist
  • Braveheart
  • The Shawshank Redemption
  • Oldboy
  • Drive
  • Shutter Island
  • Inception
  • V for Vendetta
  • Platoon
  • The Sixth Sense
  • Miller's Crossing
  • Infernal Affairs (The original asian version, of "The Departed")
  • Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
  • Schindler's List
  • Once Upon a Time in America
  • The Green Mile
  • No Country For Old Men
  • Silence of the Lambs
  • One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
  • The Prestige
  • The Matrix Trilogy
