A trick or a treat? (Trophy thoughts)

Aside from the 1 HP mode it seems like a difficult game in general.

Read some reviews that say it can become unbalanced in some later sections with enemy placement plus you have to take leaps of faith a lot of the time as well. To top it off if you lose all your lives you start from the beginning so unless it saves between worlds and you can savescum and back up to cloud or whatever it could be pretty difficult overall.

The game is not quiet being able to do playthrough in 20 minutes or less, the phases are always the same indifirent of which character you use, which facilitates to decorate where each enemy is. The 1HP trophy seems at first frightening because you have 3 initial lives, and can die and continue, during the course of the game it is possible to get 6 lives (this was the maximum I could) the trophy (Mysteries of Abyxsis) Use the character DEMON JOE, he has the ability to fly by pressing X several times, always in the first teleport of each phase over the area above that will have a map on fire, none hidden all are very visible. Tip: I recommend decorating the stages with the characters and then using DEMON JOE to make the '' Hardcore Gourd '' (1HP) trophy and the '' Bat Marm '' trophy from the beginning to the end of the game

Picked this one up in the recent Halloween sale and it’s most definitely a treat! ?

It’s a very simple game, but it knows that and totally nails what it is meant to be. The platforming control feels surprisingly great, and the spooky seasonal aesthetic, the different Halloween themed characters and environments, and cheerful and catchy chiptuney soundtrack makes for a really pleasant overall time.

This is a perfect “pick up & play” style of game as it throws you into the action instantly, making it great for those times when you’ve got 20-30 mins to kill and need something to do. I’ve been playing for short bursts of 20 minutes here and there over the last few days and have so far made it up to the final boss. With every single attempt it gets faster and easier.

The game does appear long and punishing at first due to having to restart from the very beginning every time you lose all your lives, but after repeating runs and memorizing levels and enemy placements, you’ll quickly realize you can easily run through the whole game in like 20-25 minutes or so, making all the mandatory playthroughs a non-issue.

Overall this is a really fun and pleasant little retro platformer, and satisfies the seasonal spirit of Halloween. Would definitely recommend grabbing this one if you’re looking for a fun Halloween game to play next year! (or sooner) ?
