Finally actually made some trophy progress in Rune Factory. In that one I've been working on trying to get all the house upgrades while building up cooking and crafting levels and doing some fishing with my remaining HP and RP for the day until my character passes out from exhaustion because by doing that I risk catching a cold for the trophy for catching 100 colds. So not a lot of story progress, but am making progress towards a few trophies. Making better story progress in Labyrinth of Refrain though since the trophies in that are just for discovering new parts of the labyrinth so making runs into the dungeon and exploring means progress in story. The game hasn't really gotten much better and from the looks of the spreadsheet walkhrough I'm using, I'm probably about halfway done with the story there so I really doubt it's going to get much better.

Unfortunately it added 98 trophies to my unearned list lol. I have made decent progress on getting through the trophies for the platinum, and a few for the free DLCs. I still have the other DLCs all 9 of the 11 you have to pay for. Luckily they are also on sale and grouped in packs so I can get a few at a time. What I find nice about this game is I can easily play it will working since I can just put it down and save at anytime. Which means if I have 30 mins to kill while waiting on something for work I can pick it up and play a bit. Civilization 6 worth playing on console? I've never owned a proper PC and it has always been one of those games I wanted to try one day.

I've never owned a proper PC and it has always been one of those games I wanted to try one day. My personal preference will always be PC, but that is cause I have love the Civilization series since it first came out on PC when I was a kid. It is the reason I got my first computer. That being said this is a very good port. Unlike in the past when they have brought Civ games to consoles (civilization revolution 1 and 2) they have been watered down and lacking in features. Generally I believe that being able to use a mouse and keyboard for the game would have been nice since you can plug them into a ps4, but I have gotten use to the controller over the last week and half. It runs just fine on a standard ps4, which is what I have so that is good, though honestly I haven't gotten into any of the crazy huge matches you can set up with you against 15 other AI players. I tend to use Civ for my murdering release and go domination victory before the game gets to big or too huge lol. All that said, if you are curious then yes it is worth the 14.99 it is on sale for right now. It will unload a whole lot of unearned trophies on you in the beginning and some of the games/trophies will take a while to earn. I.E. a science victory one can take a while to earn as you have to research all of the science and then build the components to launch to the moon and mars. If you aren't familiar trophy hunting can be harder for this game, but if you want a fun game that you can easily pick up and put down then I say go for it.

I was aware of the Revolution games but I knew they were quite heavily watered down from the original experience which is why I wasn't particularly interested. If 6 is much more faithful to the PC title then I'll have to add it to my ever growing wishlist of games I want and need to convince myself to buy even though my backlog shows no signs of getting smaller!

Popular Post Static_Rook
Update 16. 4/23/2021 Starting PCG 32.61% Previous Week 36.18% Current PCG 36.69% Goal = 50% Didn't play too many games this week, but I did finally get the plat in Bioshock for PS3. It was sitting at the bottom of my trophy list at 8% for almost 10 years so it's nice to finally have it done. I can't buy the Challenge Room DLC though so it will stay at 84% complete. I also platinumed Takotan and Riverbond for a quick PCG boost. Not sure what I'll do this week. Dead Space 2 is now my oldest unfinished game, and it's on my Spring backlog challenge list, but I don't feel like starting it just yet. I'll probably grind out some more easy-ish fighting game trophies this weekend and make DS2 my main game during the week. But, I haven't really been sticking with anything I've planned out lately so I'll just see what grabs me when I sit down to play.
P3hmo6
How do you guys stick with a single game? I've got 5 plats this year, but in addition to getting them, I've started a bunch of new games. I find it hard to stick with a single game. I also tend to get bored after an hour of playing. I used to be able to play for hours on end but not anymore. I know there's so many great games I want to play, but it's hard for me to dedicate myself to playing one. For instance, I've started Control, Final Fantasy VII Remake, God of War, Rime, Sackboy: A Big Adventure & Ratchet & Clank. I've also been playing a lot of MGS on my alt account on PS3. You'll have to figure out a method that works for you. For me, what works is setting goals and sticking to them. I often will use starting new games as a reward for finishing a game. Sometimes I'll alternate between a few incomplete games and sometimes I'll stick with a game until its done. Typically this depends on the game and my level of interest in it. More grindy plats I'm likely to play for short bursts while playing something else, but a shorter game that I'm enjoying I'll stick with until I've got the plat. A couple of ideas that may work for you is to focus on shorter games, alternate between a few games, or go back to some old games with a goal in mind of earning a small number of trophies. If you're growing completely bored of the games your playing after an hour you also may want to try different types of games out because maybe the games you're playing just aren't for you and other games would grab your interest more. I know I had a much easier time sticking with games once I stopped playing popular games and instead played games I found myself that sounded fun.

Next, I'll be starting Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, which should be interesting, as I'm not that great at Rhythm based games.
Popular Post gladiatorrrrrrr
Monday Monday update The good news was of course that Sony decided not to close the stores. That gives me some more time to finish these PS3/PSVita game without investing a huge amount in DLC... Bioshock 2 + DLC (2/3) (PS3) I finished the two SP DLC's; Minerva's Den and Protector Trials. Both very enjoyable. Protector trials is the typical wave based challenge but with the caveat that your gear set-up is decided by the game. Interesting because I used now different plasmids than I have used throughout the game and I really liked some of them. I leveled up from 40 to 47 for the last trophy of the MP DLC Raputure Metro pack. It goes slow and you really need to boost this. But almost there! Watchdogs + DLC (0/0) (PS4) Started this one this week. I just needed to do something else than running around in Rapture ?. I have no clue why I started the game, got one trophy and then never touched it again. So I bought a complete edition and picked it up again. I must say; I am enjoying almost everything. Nice story, refreshing in may ways. Driving is ....well not the greatest but apart from that it is a good game. Managed to clear the MP trophies so I only have to concentrate in the SP now. Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars (PS3) Played some more online games and added some trophies to the total. I just do 2 -3 games per time so will take a bit. Sly Cooper ; Thieves in Time (PSVita) On the hunt for collectibles but slow progress Others Star Wars BF II + DLC (1/1) (PS4) - no porgress The Division 2 + DLC (3/6) (PS4) - no progress Riddled Corpses Ex (PSVita) - tried a couple of times but failed.... Shinobodi 2 (PSVita) - on hold Status Plans for next week: - Finish DLC Metro Rapture pack Bioshock 2 (PS3) - Work (finish?) Watchdogs base game (PS4) - Work on MP trophies Battle Cars (PS3) - Finish Sly Cooper ; Thieves in Times (PSVita) Happy trophy hunting! Popular Post gruffiiti
Monday update Its been a few weeks since I updated. I had been down and out sick for the most part but have been feeling much better this past week so did get some game time in. Megaquarium Mostly this was my go to game when I was sick these past few weeks. Its pretty chill and something I could pick up and put down. Only have the last two levels left to complete now. Im taking a short break from the game though to work through a few other games from my backlog but will likely have this wrapped up in the near future. Demon Souls Slowly making some progress on this one with a couple more bosses defeated. The Raven Remastered I had been meaning to get to this game for awhile. I quite enjoyed the story and the way it was played out from different points of view. If you are a fan of adventure or point and click games this one is worth a playthrough. Whispering Willows I picked this game up for a couple dollars and it is probably only worth a couple dollars IMO. I had to use the guide here on PSNP to get through this one. Lonely Mountains: Downhill Had an hour to kill yesterday so knocked out a few more challenges. This game really shines when you explore and look for unconventional ways to beat your current best time. Life is Strange 2 Just started on this last night and played through the first episode. I'm interested to continue on and see how this story plays out. Hopefully its on par with the previous games. Popular Post Spinacheq
Update #16 So this last week did not go as planned in any way. lol but when has a week ever am I right? So thanks to work, and by that I mean having to prioritize moving a customers software and giant database off of an old physical servers to virtual machines to prevent a failure. I spent many hours babysitting and moving piece by piece a very large (300 to 400 terabyte) database, and make sure the legacy software, which it turns out I am considered the expert on since I have been working on it for the last 5 years, lol, to a new virtual servers. This meant not a lot of time for a great game (so far) like Cold Steel 3, as you can't easily pick it up and put it down. And since I managed to work a full week 2.5 days I was so beat by thursday I slept a lot. So I basically just kept playing Civilization 6 since it is a very easy game to pick up and put down and being turn based I can just not take my turn until I am ready (at one point that was 4 hours lol). I did manage to clear up a lot of it's DLC, 6 of them, which is very nice and actually got me back to where I was completion wise back in Week 14. So for week 16 end: comp.% 78.26% (+0.55% for the week) which is a 4.93% total comp.% increase over the starting 73.33% ( still down 0.20% from the week 11 high of 78.46%) Civilization 6: Had a lot of on/off time so I got a lot of work on the DLC trophies. Putting at 6 of 11 DLC fully completed. That being said I am a little burned out on Civ 6 right now and will probably take a week or 2 break from it. In the last 2 weeks I have completed 86 of 98 trophies for that game and not many are super fast lol. Not to say I don't enjoy the game, but if you are just trophy hunting it isn't as fun as just enjoying a game of slaughter the AI lol. Trails of Cold Steel 3: This game got maybe 30 mins of play time as I was super busy with work at the beginning of the week and just had too much work around the house to be able to sit down for several hours and just enjoy the game. As a side note I binged watched Saturday night the anime By the Grace of the Gods on Hulu and it was amazing. only 13 episodes of season 1 hoping it has more to come. It was a great, fun easy to get into anime. Definitely a great watch if you have that service or access to the anime. Didn't plan on watching it all in one setting as I was suppose to check it out to see if it was one by wife would also enjoy, and before I knew it I was on episode on 11 lol. I will be watching it again with the wife and honestly can't wait.
Popular Post Gumby114
Big week this week for gumby Overwatch To put it frankly - how good are boosting groups? I have almost platted the game thanks to a late night with 12 people found on the Overwatch boosting server on discord. There were a few Damage character trophies that I was never going to get on my own as a healer main - Hanzo, Reaper and Mcree were all ticked off my list. I still am proud to say I earnt rapid discord legit.... Assassins Creed: Valhalla Finished the story and all areas but Asgard and Jotunheim. This will come this week. I must admit - the two big reveals were pretty easy to spot and I guessed them before they happened. Regardless - if you haven't played it yet, I could not recommend it more. looking forward to next month and finishing a few more games off my backlog.

I have tried 4 times and found 2 games that we could could boost (they were both last weekend in the same session). It can take anywhere from 20 minutes to 3 hours to find a game. Patience is key lol. The other thing that people don't really talk about is that you need to keep moving and shoot often - otherwise you are booted and you need to search for a session again. We had two people go afk and it really sucked.

Patience is key lol. The other thing that people don't really talk about is that you need to keep moving and shoot often - otherwise you are booted and you need to search for a session again. We had two people go afk and it really sucked. cool man! This one is sitting on my list I just didn't know where to start. I just have joined that discord too. Not planning to work on it anytime soon but still On 4/26/2021 at 6:08 PM, CaptainMonkster said: So after starting in February with PCG: 51.38% with a goal of getting to 60%.... nearly 3 months later and it is 52.69% Why do I do this to myself x) small steps makes the difference. The 60% looks far away but why don't you first concentrate in getting to 53%, taking some easy games first
Popular Post Spinacheq
So I go and say "I need a break from Civ 6 for a week or two" then 2 days of long boring meetings at work, and thanks to remote play on PC I finished the game yesterday, to 100% lol Yea only the 6th person since the last DLC came out, and fastest to 100% for now.... lol I know that won't last but I will revel in the fleeting glory for now lol.
Static_Rook
Update 17. 4/30/2021 Starting PCG 32.61% Previous Week 36.69% Current PCG 36.90% Goal = 50% My main game this week was Ratchet and Clank. Got the plat for it in about 25 hours. It was fun and only required a tiny bit of grinding near the end to get all the weapons to level 10. Other than that I picked up a few more misc. trophies in Street Fighter x Tekken Vita and Mortal Kombat X. I can't get the plat in either one, but there are still more easy-ish trophies I can unlock to bump up the completion % for each one. The shameful, trophy hunter game of the week was Legends of Talia Arcadia. You literally just hold R1 for a minute to get some golds and a plat, but I had a few leftover PSN bucks so I figured I'd waste them on a quick PCG boost. And now my quickest plat isn't that embarrassing 99 cent baseball game so that's a plus. I was planning on picking up R-Type Final 2 but $60 for the complete version felt a little too steep with RE8 right around the corner. So I got RetroMania Wrestling instead. That dropped my overall completion % a little, but I'm going to binge the game tonight and get as many trophies as I can before the big monthly update tomorrow morning. Overall, I thought I'd be a little further along towards my 50% goal but I'm still pretty happy with the 4.29% increase. I'm primed to finish off 5 or 6 games in May so that should help. And I've still got plenty of quick games sitting at low %s I'll get to eventually. Keep on keeping on!
Popular Post Xylobe
April Update Not quite as productive a month as the last few in terms of pre-established goals, but you wouldn't know that from looking at the numbers. I cleared a lot of smaller titles from my backlog, finished the last of Killzone Mercenary's online trophies, and played around with Jak II's debug menu to earn what I expect will be the last trophies I'll see from that game. I also used the 7 day trial of PS Now to start on the PS3 version of Atelier Rorona Plus, after finishing Totori on my Vita last month. In terms of actual completions of substance, all I really got done was inFamous 2, one of the first games I started when I got my PS3 back in 2013, and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139..., the newly-released remaster of another of my first PS3 games. In May, I plan to pick up a month of PS Now to finish up Atelier Rorona Plus, as well as cleaning up a few games on the service that I neglected to finish when I first tried the service back in 2016, like Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. After that, I'll be picking up Atelier Meruru Plus on my Vita to round out the Arland trilogy, and if I have any time left over at the end of the month I'll work something out then. Original Starting PCG: 84.87% Last Month's PCG: 86.06% Current PCG: 86.63% (+.57%)
OpenScars
Been slacking a bit lately, but one platinum made me go back and clean up the other one in the series Started: 55.23%Goal: 60.23% Current: 57.33% Zombie Army 4: Dead War Really enjoyed the game and played with some good players from this site to get the horde trophies. Loads of DLC content is included for free, but on the flip side the few maps that aren't included are way too expensive to justify buying just for 3 trophies, this leaves the game at 98%. The grind to reach level 100 is real too.... There's a great method online, but it still means repeating the same 5 seconds for a few hours... Zombie Army Trilogy Due to the fun I had in Army 4, I decided to go back and finish off this one. Getting the collectables wasn't too bad whilst watching a guide, but one of the bottles you have to shoot, must've been moved in an update. This meant I kept having to go back to a level and making sure I wasn't going insane! Finally found it, giving me 100% collectables. The multiplayer stuff, I got lucky and found someone in-game to boost each horde map and do the revivals with, this meant I was left with trying to do a campaign chapter with 4 people. This seems easy, except you rarely find those 4 people and you might join halfway through a map or have people quit out on you. The severe 10,000 limbs was the trophy that I thought was going to be a grind, thankfully though, this was done before even finishing with random misc trophies.Currently Playing: Dark Souls III. After doing Demon's Souls earlier in the month, I've decided to go back and finish this off. I've started a fresh character as I understand the levelling mechanics etc better this time, so having a better time with it. I am however a bit worried about the covenant trophies which I'm definitely going to have to boost somehow!
