Popular Post Darling Baphomet
Finally finished up Masters of Anima yesterday, a fun little RPG/RTS indie game (people keep comparing it to Pikmin, but I've never played, so I can't say) that I picked up for a few bucks a while back. Annoying at segments, but the art style is cute, the gameplay is overall solid, and the story... well, it's generic, but it works. Worth what I paid for it; it's one of those good indie games with a lot of good ideas, albeit imperfect implementation of them. Also a nice break from all the 20+% games I've been platinuming lately. Major progress on the Long Journey Home - one of the two trophies that commonly glitch for people popped for me, which makes me the 4th achiever of it on the site; the only problem child left is a trophy with only one achiever. My strategy so far is playing on story mode since finishing runs seems vital for the game to track your stats properly; we'll see if it holds up and I'm able to get the other offending trophy. If it doesn't pop by the time I get the trophy for finishing the game on rogue mode, I may try wiping my saves completely and doing nothing but finished runs until it pops; see if that helps. We're now at 77% completion for it, which makes me the 7th highest completion for it on the site. Also started Do Not Feed The Monkeys, and finished my first playthrough; very unique indie game about "people watching" of a surveillance variety. The trophy list is nothing but choice / play style trophies, though, so it's probably going to be a mess to 100%. Minor progress in Jurassic Park Evolution as well. Also, Amplitude is hard as fuck. May use a swap for it if it (or rather, my muscle memory) doesn't start cooperating post-haste. 5 / 25 GAMES COMPLETED - CURRENT LIST: Spoiler Black = not started yet, Green = in progress, Blue = finished The Outer Wilds - 100% Need For Speed: Heat - 100% The Sexy Brutale - 100% Ruiner - 100% Masters of Anima - 100% Ys VIII - 24% Big Pharma - 3% The Long Journey Home - 77% Do Not Feed The Monkeys - 21% Jurassic Park Evolution - 2% Nier Automata - 27% Zone of the Enders - The 2nd Runner - MARS - 0% Patapon - 2% Frostpunk - 0% Ghost Giant - 0% Odin Sphere Leifthraiser - 0% The Count Lucanor - 0% Pixel Ripped 1995 - 7% Concrete Genie - 0% Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey - 31% Amplitude - 4% Dragon Quest Builders 2 - 5% Bow to Blood - 44% A Fisherman's Tale - 0% Felix The Reaper - 4%
Popular Post Crispy_Oglop
10th update - I spent the Saturday and Sunday jumping back and forth between Persona 5 Strikers and 13 Sentinels, both of which i'm really enjoying. I'll have some more structured thoughts on both when i'm done, but story-wise Persona 5 Strikers is really doing a great job with evolving some of the characters and exploring some of the scars left behind by their experiences in Persona 5. It could have just been a filler cash-grab spin off, but you can really see they put some love and care into the storyline. 13 Sentinels had to grow on me a bit, it really just throws you in the deep end and jumps around between characters and events out of order. After a few hours things start to settle and you slowly gain an understanding of what happened, when it happened and who it happened to. It's one of those games you need to give a few hours to before things start to make sense, but I wonder how many people gave up on this without knowing that the structure and pacing is intentional and contextual to the overall story. I'm aiming to have at least one of these two games done before next weekend, we have a public holiday in my country next Monday so it feels like it might be time to jump into Yakuza 6 for a long weekend. If I can get one of the two currently active games platinumed before Friday, i'm still on track. Have a great week all! Looking forward to reading your updates Nioh Persona 5 Strikers - 22% > 53% Thimbleweed Park Yakuza 6: The Song of Life - 0% 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim - 0% > 32% Beyond Blue Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls - 0% Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon - 0% Spirit Hunter: NG - 0% Sakuna: of Rice and Ruin - 0%
Popular Post Hisuiryu
Week 4 Update Not a huge update this week, I started Catherine and been having a lot of fun with it - finished my first blind play through on normal (and got gold on every nightmare because it just felt wrong not to lol). I've started up hard mode and plan to get the gold trophies each night so taking it slow, though there are videos you can follow for this it seems pointless to not use it as practice for Babel even if it's difficult. I've only done about 15 Rapunzel stages so far, so there's a lot of that left to go as well. Overall, so far so good! I think I'll break it up with some other games this week though or I might start having block based nightmares myself.... Popular Post Heather342
Update #5 So Cuphead is spinning me out at the moment, so I'm taking a short break from it. Between the robot boss and trying to get a pacifist run on Rugged Ridge it's making me stressed lol. Hitman 3 I completed my first run of the Mumbai level, trophy progress now at 32%. Over the weekend I went back to Assassin's Creed Revelations and managed to get a few trophies. Trophy progress 26% --> 36%. This last game in the Ezio collection is alright, the gameplay when you're in control of Ezio through Constantinople is classic Assassin's Creed fare, but the sections with Desmond inside the Animus with the first person block puzzles are weird. There's a long weekend coming up for the Easter holiday, so plan to complete Spirit of the North then and knock out the first of my 5 challenge games ? Happy gaming everyone!
Popular Post Dzware
Well, time for a first update, even though I haven't completed anything yet. Started with Catherine and finished my first blind run on normal and got a few endings as well. I'm now working on hard mode while getting gold prizes as I go along, making decent progress with that. Game is really fun, though most levels have at least 1 tricky part that I get stuck on for quite a while. It can be really hard to figure out some of the solutions. Also made some progress in Injustice, finished the online part and the short misc trophies. I'll probably save the really grindy and hard parts for after Catherine, though I might start working on one of the easier games in my list over the next week to get a little break from Catherine, as I've already started seeing blocks in my dreams? I didn’t start Life is Strange this week, but for a genuine reason! I had to spend my weekend this week making a trip to my hometown to pick up my new glasses. I’ll start it during my weekend next week. I still don’t expect to like it, but I just want to get it out of the way as soon as possible. I made a bunch of progress with 2064! I hope to finish it before long. It’s really sad that the Vita store is closing soon, I love my Vita. It’s super convenient for travelling (which is how I made a bunch of progress in 2064 this week, I brought it with me on that trip I mentioned) and has tons of the Japanese games I like on it. Normally I post much later in the day in case I make progress on Sunday, but I know I won't make any more progress on these games today. I'm in a mad dash to try to get one particular trophy to finish up a series of challenges for this month in my friend's Discord server before the end of the day on the 31.
Popular Post HaserPL
On 26.02.2021 at 5:31 PM, HaserPL said: Sports Champions - 7% 46%; Battlefield 1943 - 0% 100%; #Update time Hello there and welcome to another episode of Quarantine with HaserPL! This week we are taking a look at two decade-old PS3 games, online-only Battlefield 1943, and not so online-only, Sports Champions. Grab yourself a drink, something to eat, and come with me, on a fairly short and uneventful journey! Originally Battlefield 1943 wasn't on my backlog list at all, but as my boosting buddies wanted to boost Bad Company 2's DLC with me, I saw that 1943 is included in a bundle for just a few extra dollars, so I said "why not?". I'm a huge Battlefield fan and have played them for at least two thousand hours (nowhere near close to CoD though), but when it comes to trophy hunting, this series was never kind to me. When a series is near and dear to my heart, I want to have a 100% in all of the games, not necessarily every stack as I can't afford to buy the same DLC more than once, but at least one 100% in a given game is enough for me. So as you may guess, I wanted to do the same with the BF series, but a few things stood in my way to do so. First, Bad Company was unobtainable on two separate occasions. When I first bought it, the trophy for taking a picture was impossible to achieve, so I left the game in peace. A few years later they fixed the trophy, so I went back and got it, but I was busy with other boosts and couldn't focus on it properly, so it was on my "to-do list" for a while. When I came back to it the next time, a different trophy was broken! And now, even if it becomes obtainable again, I doubt I will have time and willpower to do another boost on par with Bad Company, after almost 2 years of boosting games I'm simply tired of it. And then there's Battlefield Hardline, my least favorite entry in the series, with DLC trophies that are simply ridiculous. I mean, 40 000 kills? In a Battlefield game? And not even a good one mind you? Nope. That's where I draw the line. Back to 1943 though, trophy-wise, I had fun for a couple of hours but got bored of being bashed by vets all the time. 100 Matches Played were done using my turbo controller, and I regret nothing. Sports Champions is going to be very quick, finished 3 out of 6 disciplines, got more than enough stars to secure the trophy for 600 of them, now all I need to do is to beat Beach Volleyball, Bocce, and Table Tennis, and to do misc trophies. Going to take a short break from it though, as I got tired of the game after playing Disc Golf for 4 days straight. Think I will do a full playthrough of Castlevania and do DLCs, then i will come back and finish Sports Champions. 7 hours ago, Dzware said: Started with Catherine and finished my first blind run on normal and got a few endings as well. Popular Post be_minor
Update #2: I’m a little ahead of schedule, finishing off Mass Effect 3 before the end of the month. It’s been two straight months of Mass Effect, and although I love these games, I’m happy to have finished them with a little breathing room before the Legendary Edition comes out (which I’ve happily pre-ordered). One day I’ll 100% Andromeda. I’ve also been working on MediEvil the past couple of days, earning a few miscellaneous and story-based trophies. I’ve been enjoying the experience a bit more since picking it up again. With the PS3 store closure, I’m trying to clean up some more of my backlog and will either utilize a switch for a PS3 game or add a couple to my list next update. Red = Haven’t startedGreen = Progress madeBlue = Completed 100% 1. Mass Effect 2 2. Mass Effect 3 3. MediEvil - 25% ➡️ 50% 4. Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch - 38% 5. Popular Post xItsLesterx
Update #1 What's up everyone? Here I go with my 1st late update, as usual. I said I was gonna try to put an update more often as opposed to once a month as I did during the Fall/Winter Challenge but as you all can see, that did not happen. Anyways, glad to see a lot of people back and more importantly, the progress you all are making. As for me, I finished up The Last of Us Remastered and The Last of Us Part II, kinda. So the 1st one, it was originally on my list but since I started it about a week prior to the event, I made good progress and by the time March 1st came around, it was over the limit. However, loved the story and how can I not? Now, as for Part II tho? Eehhh. I'm not the biggest franchise fan but I can see why a lot of people did not like it. It is a solid game but, personally, I feel like it failed to live up to the first game. Game isn't 100% because I have a feeling at least one more DLC will be dropped, which I will do both so they are stacked back to back. Right after, I quickly moved on to Astro's Playroom, my first PS5 platinum trophy and what an experience. Always thought Horizon Forbidden West or God of War Ragnarok were going to be my first PS5 platinum trophy but it wasn't and I do not have any regrets. It showed how far Sony's Playstation Division has come along AND how old I am ? but that's besides the point. Since I usually try to do complete franchises all together but decided to stay with the miscellaneous games and completed Control, also for PS5. Because of my backlog, I try not to buy games on release date but what a great game that was. Very solid story and mechanics of it? Really fun to play with. If there is a sequel to it, this is definitely a few of the games I will pick up on release date. Once I was done, I decided to do Just Cause 3 and did not like it. Gave it shot for a few hours but just could not get through it. I was gonna take it off my list but decided to keep it in the meantime. If time allows, I will go back to it towards the end of the challenge but honestly, I am not looking forward to it. With that bad experience, motivation kinda went down and, of course, my dumbass chose to do Outlast and Outlast II. Loved the story and jump scares. Despite of me not giving it nearly as many tries as I did for Wolfenstein II, I almost gave up but I got the 100% and that got me all pumped up about doing the second game. I know it'll be bigger challenge but I'm for it. The Last of Us Part II (0% => 97%) Astro's Playroom (6% => 100%) Control (2% => 100%) Nioh (0%) Nioh 2 (0%) Just Cause 3 (0% => 5%) Just Cause 4 (0%) Outlast (0% => 100%) Outlast 2 (2% => 5%) Crash Bandicoot (18%) Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (12%) Crash Bandicoot: Warped (0%) LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 (0%) LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 (0%) LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (0%) LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 (0%) LEGO Marvel's Avengers (0%) LEGO Movie: The Videogame (0%) LEGO Movie 2: The Videogame (0%) LEGO Ninjago Movie: The Videogame (4%) Good luck everyone. Love the progress I am seeing. I am always checking when there's an update on the thread. It serves me as a motivation to keep grinding my backlog.
Popular Post DFuzed
A month gone and another update trophy to attempt, so here we go... So setbacks and the subsequent change in interest in the games on my list made the plans for this month different than expected. Originally I set up my list with several easy lists to use to compliment my other games for trophies. But, as the saying goes, the best laid plans only survive the first arrow shot. Case in point: AC Valhalla - Ugh. So plan was to plat this first. Knew what I was doing this time, was clearing out multiple areas and was on track to get it done by now or nearly have it done by now. Then got hit by the bug others had problems with but I avoided my first playthrough. Basically you were supposed to fight a certain person at a certain point. It's unavoidable and can't continue the story without it. But the game glitches and the guy doesn't provoke you, leaving you to walk around in the rain. I contemplated to either continue the game from a previous save, do everything but the storyline (since the few treasures needed are unlocked story-wise at this point) OR redo the whole game and avoiding what the general thought of what causes the bug (which I did both times and only had it glitch this time). Haven't decided and that indecision along with my frustration has made me stall on replaying it. Persona 5 - This game has been on my list to play for a long time. Once it was free to play I grabbed it and had it on my playlist for a while now. Decided to play it this challenge since I had wanted to last time but not enough time for it. Once I started playing though...oh my god. I've never played a Persona game before and the time management, the battle system, the Persona system. Loving it all. Not a perfect game but holy shit. Tried to follow the guide that said do this or that and said screw this, doing what I want to instead. Two playthroughs for a plat but nothing new to me. Definitely want to plat this and, if possible, make it a milestone trophy. Lego The Hobbit (Vita) - I have been looking for a copy of this game for the Vita because I wanted to play it but, because of copyrights, it was no longer available. Got my copy only days before the challenge started and have played it some, mostly when not able to get onto my PS5 for one reason or another. Still going through the main story then it's onto cleanup and working on various trophies not related to the story sections. Epic Word Search (PS4) - Slowly working on this. Between the two games above I've been able to get my minimum trophies per day quota done without resorting to my backup game. But still using it occasionally when the need arises. *March Update*? Well there it is, now onto April and another month of shenanigans.
Popular Post Sword
Now entering April with no sign of Lego: Skywalker Saga coming out anytime soon. My friend wanted to play Outriders, so I bought the pre-order and gonna be doing that for the foreseeable future so... gonna swap out Skywalker Saga (who knows the release date at this point) with Outriders. Outriders trophy list doesn't look that hard at all. Also in general haven't made much progress at all with my list. Like, literally 0% this whole month. Getting the Platinum in Monster Hunter World absolutely destroyed me and I basically took a week off of PS altogether + another week where I just played Crystal Chronicles matches for fun. Then I did a lot of reflection on why I trophy hunt and why I held onto my % completion so tightly. I've made some decisions and changed my thought process on trophy hunting and not caring so much anymore about what my profile looks like, so now I'm back to being more motivated than ever to explore all the games I've been neglecting due to fear. Hopefully I'll be able to include some of those on the next backlog challenge. Of course, this challenge demands some 100% mentality! So I'll return to this list first. Hopefully next time I'll have some progress to share. After Outriders I'll probably tackle Lego: Hobbit as it's one of my favorite Lego games. Of course, Star Wars still reigns supreme with Harry Potter close behind it. Haha. Color Code: Red = Game not started. Green = Game is in progress. Blue = Game completed to 100% + DLC. ☐ Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (PS4) 0% ☐ Lego: The Hobbit (PS4) 0% ☐ Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Saga (PS4) 0% > Outriders (PS4) 0% ☐ Red Bow (PS4) 0% ☐ Just Ignore Them (PS4) 0% Swap 1/2

Heather342
@DFuzed Persona games are awesome. I did my first playthrough of Persona 5 at the beginning of the year, but I am saving the plat to be my milestone for trophy #3000. If you like this then you absolutely must pick up Persona 4 Golden, it's one of the best games I've ever played ?

I honestly liked MediEvil's controls; they were iffy sometimes, but with the combat especially they had a kind of clunky fluidity you don't get from games much these days. It's hard to explain. Like you can't just run around while spinning your sword like bones man does; it's all fancy animations and i frames and all that bullshit. Definitely a very fun remaster, it's a shame it didn't sell so well; although it did have its share of issues (why does a ps4 exclusive lag on ps4?! It's not *that* pretty a game!), I would love to see a remake of 2 from the same developers. Or a sequel!
Popular Post MrPhrips
Start of April Update: I'll just go ahead and say that I can NOT be bothered to finish the DLC for Control and Goat Simulator this point. It's so so bad as far as trophies go. Collecting seemingly endless collectables just for the sake of it and "finding" hidden locations just cause... my time is too valuable for that and the more I do it the more I hate this game. Goat Sim DLC is okay but it's just too much. I plan on not getting the 100 percent completion rate for these games. The only way I see myself doing it is if it's the last game I need to 100 percent everything on my list and I have nothing I want to play for fun. I also started a new job so my play time is limited more and there's plenty of FUN games out there instead of extra work. In the future I may just look for specifically platinum challenges and not 100 percent ones. The tacked on cash grab DLCs can ruin a game for me if they're not handled with care that the main game had. Again, not saying the DLC is bad, but the trophies for it are garbage. I'm going to add One Punch Man and The Pedestrian to the list thanks to the Spring Sale. I've been waiting for these to get cheaper for awhile. I wanted to add Pistol Whip but found out while playing there's some buggy trophies unfortunately because this game is a blast! And I've made some progress on I Expect You To Die which has been a lot of fun. The speed run trophies are a pain but still doable. One Punch Man (0%) The Pedestrian (0%) The Inpatient (0%) Deracine (0%) I Expect You To Die (52%) Salary Man Escape (100%) Raji: An Ancient Epic (0%) Goat Simulator (52%) Control (92%) Manifold Garden (100%) Gris (18%) The Vanishing of Ethan Carter (100%) ? Popular Post WishingLemon
Well I'm still alive but my health has been awful the past few weeks so here's a late update of not much happening. What game playing I've done has been a mix of FFVIIR (which I don't like so I'll finish the story and call it quits), and Those Who Remain (which I also don't like). Those Who Remain is pretty short but it's filled with constant frame drops and a really fiddly control scheme. To open a door you need to click precisely on the handle, and then doors always open toward you, sometimes they clip through you, sometimes they push you. It's really annoying. Also a spotlight monster thing that stalks around some areas for really no reason other than to be a pain.
