Baker
Update: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 I got Woods! Which means I’m done with that awful Blackout mode. I’m very pleased with that as I really started to hate it. This will be the last time I ever play a Battle Royale mode. This was the hardest character to unlock. And I couldn’t have done it without some help as I’m just not good at this game mode at all. For me the best way to get this trophy was to play Solo mode only as a team. So I had some help from @Mori, @Koro249 & @xCursed9 (get used to getting tagged when you play with me ?.) In this game I was with Mori & Cursed. I’m not showing the whole clip as it is extremely boring as I just camped my way to victory. After many tries I finally got a lucky game where the remaining players basically did all the work for me. Too bad I record without headset sound enabled otherwise you could hear my: Yesss! I never have to play this mode again! ? I also was very nervous at the end as I’ve been in such a position quite a few times before and always lost to these lvl 80 players that have been playing Blackout for years. I think Koro just needs 2 more wins and then we are all done with this horrible mode and the fun part begins: Zombies. Thanks for the help! I'm just checking on some people who I know have the skill to easily beat this kinda stuff. I was wondering how you will approach this? Did you grind all jobs to 99? Grind 1 to 99 and the rest to 30? Armor/weapons at EX EX? What's your take on this when you'll pick the game back up for the 15k trophy if I may ask. I have 3 EX EX weapons for my main party and 1 EX+4 or something. I was grinding money in the colosseum by selling Electrical Whips but I’ve read it’s faster to run through the post game dungeon with money increasing gear so I’ve put that on hold. I should be strong enough already but I’m going to grind all jobs to lvl 99 and make 7 EX EX weapons just for fun. In the mean time I’ve been completing all the minigames. Almost done with that, just the batting cage and some dragon kart wins left. What I still need to do a lot from is the Rescue Missions and some miscellaneous stuff to have 100% in game. I’m on 14.999 trophies now so I guess I’ll continue tomorrow. How far are you in the game? Edited December 15, 2021 by Baker

Currently I need to finish the final chapter I’ve got all chars 99+main job 99 and almost all jobs at 30~ and most weapons at EX 4~ I’ve also got a long way with the part time hero I’m at 190/300 iirc. So far the grind is really boring for the jobs which is a shame as I love this game
Popular Post Baker
#310 Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition Enjoyment: 7/10 Difficulty: - Playtime: 25 hours I have been interested in this game ever since I saw the trailer. It looked great imo. With fast gameplay, kicks, whips & weird kills. The story. Really, I only finished the story a month ago and I can’t even remember what it was about. Very lackluster. But this game is about the gameplay. In particular a skill shot system where you can kill enemies in a large variety of ways. You have 8 guns, although you start out with 1, and for each gun you can kill enemies differently by performing skill shots. You can also use the environment to get a large variety of different kills. You also have access to a kick attack and a leash attack which is very powerful. This makes for some interesting and very variable gameplay. There are 3 modes in the game: Story, Echoes & Anarchy. For Echoes you replay short sections of the Story and you need to get a set amount of points within a set amount of time. The more different skills you perform the higher your score will be as each different skill only gives the maximum amount of points once. This mode was for me the most fun to play. Anarchy mode is a online coop mode where you basically just beat waves of enemies. It was alright I guess. There are some issues connecting to friends in this mode apparently but I had no issues connecting with @Koro249 with who I played this mode with. Thanks! The worst thing about this game for me are the controls. I’ve played a lot of FPS games in the last few months and generally you run by pressing L3. But in this game you run while holding X, and sliding by double tapping X. Because you still control the camera with R3 it’s kind of impossible to run and look at the same time. It has some auto camera movement while running but it’s very poor. All in all it was an alright game but I expected a bit more from it. Update: Yakuza: Like a Dragon A sharp eye might have noticed I went from #308 to #310. It’s because in between I also finished Yakuza: Like a Dragon. My aim for this game was to go for 100% in game and I already spend quite a lot of time working on that. But I couldn’t resist trying out The True Final Millennium Tower and then I beat it first try getting me the platinum. Since then I kind of lost the motivation to continue going for 100% in game. Especially since I joined The Winter Tag Team Event where you need to get some trophies. Maybe I’ll continue after the event but probably not. A long review will come eventually because this game was holy shit balls amazing! So what’s next? I.. don’t.. know.. I downloaded Strafe again but after playing it for 5 minutes and getting frame rate drop after frame rate drop I just can’t play it. The game is just crap. So I deleted it again and probably for the last time. Too bad as I really like the platinum image + name. There is also nothing in my backlog that I’m currently really interested in playing (maybe World of Final Fantasy or Days Gone), so I might buy a new game. Crash Bandicoot 4 is pretty cheap at the moment in my country. A new disc version is €25. Tempted about picking up that one. Or I’ll trade in my games and get Tales of Arise. Decisions, decisions.. Deluziion90
Congrats! Tales of Arise is really great but when I see someone having second thoughts about crash4 I would say go for it! Fun game with a very difficult but rewarding platinum.

Shrooba
Nicely done on the latest completion man! ? If you go for Crash 4 next year after you finish Tales of Arise and anything else in the meantime, then I wish you the best of luck! It's tricky, but considering you've beaten Super Meat Boy it should be quite doable for you. You got this! Baker
#311 Tales of Arise Enjoyment: 9/10 Difficulty: - Playtime: 50 hours The Tales of series is one of my favorite JRPG series and although this game was pretty damn good I also was kind of disappointed in it. Story: The story starts out with your main character, in the beginning just called Iron Mask, being a slave. 300 years ago the Renans invaded the planet of the Dahnans and since then kept the world in slavery. Quickly into the story Iron Mask meets a mysterious girl named Shionne and together they break free from their oppressors. After this their main goal is to rid the world of the Renan terror by defeating the 5 lords of the 5 realms in the world. This is the setting and ofcourse there are many twists and turns later on and you meet your party members along the way. And as with most Tales of games, when you think you’re almost done with the story, you’re only half way.. Loved most of the characters and especially a certain antagonist. He was a bad ass insane guy. ? All in all I liked it. But I had a major deja vu thinking back at other Tales of games. It felt like a hybrid story of Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Graces F. Don’t want to spoiler too much so let’s leave it at that. Battle system: Also liked it. Once again it’s fast paced. Easy to pick up but harder to master if you want play on higher difficulties. Unfortunately there are no trophies attached to clearing the game on higher difficulties, so you can play on very easy if you want to. I don’t recommend that at all as it’s braindead easy. But also this battle system isn’t as good as Tales of Graces, Xillia or Berseria. Apart from the major story boss battles the side bosses are most of the time just rehashed versions you already came across many times. Skits: A famous part of Tales of games are skits. It’s short conversations between the characters of the game. In every other Tales of game this is filled with humor. With the absolute highlight being the skits with Teepo in Tales of Xillia 2. But in this game there is (almost) no humor. The first 200 skits I watched were all extra story info. So after that I started skipping them. At the end there were a few with an attempt at humor but the skits in this game are the worst in any Tales of game. Disappointing. This is another example of a AAA title where the developers thought ‘let’s make this as easy as possible’. Everything can be done in 1 playthrough. Getting all titles, a skill system that’s in all Tales of games, is very easy. Minigames: easy. Arena: easy. With 50 hours total playtime this is also by far the shortest Tales of game to platinum. Every other Tales of game is well over 100 hours. Yup: easy. Now this all sounds a bit negative but this game is still really good. Beautiful worlds, good characters, good story, some very fun side quests. I can highly recommend it. And I can see a Tales of Arise 2 happening.. Let’s end this with ranking the Tales of games I’ve played. 1. Tales of Symphonia 2. Tales of Berseria 3. Tales of Vesperia 4. Tales of Graces F 5. Tales of Xillia 6. Tales of Arise 7. Tales of Xillia 2 8. Tales of Zestiria 9. Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World A 6th place. Not too bad. ? What’s next? Not too sure. I’m kind of hyped because of the Persona 5 Strikers on Ps Plus rumour. I will definitely pick that up and start that asap if the rumour turns out to be true. Until then I might clean up Pix The Cat. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is almost done. I also bought Hard Reset Redux. A FPS by the makers of Shadow Warrior. With an exact copy of the trophy list of Shadow Warrior. So that means a Heroic Mode playthrough.. ? But that might be a good game to play while I wait for P5 Strikers. Shrooba
Whew, you finished that fast! ? A good game to end the year with! Man, if the P5S rumor turns out to be true, you'll love the game. Although once you're pretty much finished with the game, you've got to do a 10-ish hour grind fighting the same enemy over and over to raise your overall party bond level to 99, which can be a bit tedious. I'd recommend listening to podcasts or some of your favourite music to kill time while you're doing it, which is what I usually do with repetitive grinds. ? From what I can remember it's best to use Thor, an electric Persona who does super effective damage... but then get ready to hear the enemy say "I CAN'T MOVE!" nearly every time you cast the attack... It nearly drove me insane I tell you! ? You're very close with BO4 too! And when I first heard you were doing a game called 'Pix the Cat' I first figured it'd be a nice game in-between the hard stuff you're doing... but holy shit, 0.33% completion rate!!! ? Then again, so long as a game doesn't have any unobtainables and/or is a single-player game, you've got all the time in the world to do it, which definitely makes the prospect of harder content seem a lot less daunting. Best of luck with your current games and what you'll do in 2022! ?
Popular Post Baker
When I started this thread with the goal of completing 400 games I expected it to take me around 1.5 years. Now 7 months later I’m a bit ‘behind’ schedule. I completed 42 games this year and with another 47 to go one more year should be enough. So I hope that one year from now I can close this thread. Just discovered this and I think it looks pretty good. My platinum trophies of 2021. I’m not going to tag anyone but thanks to everyone I played with this year. Let’s continue next year. Also I’m not one to leave a lot of comments but I check and read most if not all checklists on this site and all you guys are doing an amazing job. So keep going. One more year. You're very close with DMC5, Wolfenstein II and BO4, so I know you'll get those done soon too, you got this. But when you reach your goal and close this thread, I hope this doesn't mean you'll be leaving PSNProfiles forever! ? In any case however, it's ultimately your choice, and like all things we gotta enjoy the ride while it lasts. I suppose we can't do these things until the end of time! ? I've seen a couple threads of the previous 'era' of users who are long gone, and eventually so will we, but I'm sure we'll all make the best of every second! Whatever you choose this year in 2022, do what you want man! 2022 will be a good one!

I have my work cut out for me. About leaving PSNP. I don’t know. I might, but my guess is I won’t. Popular Post Baker
#312 World of Final Fantasy Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: - Playtime: 65 hours I started this game a few months ago and even though Final Fantasy is my favorite game series of all time I wasn’t too sure I would like this as it seemed too childish to me. And in the first few hours of the game I thought it was. So I dropped the game, and came back to it a few days ago and have been hooked since. This was amazing, but with quite a few annoyances. The game starts with twins, Lann & Reynn, with memory loss finding themselves in the world of Grymoire. Here they meet Tama, an annoying Mirage that puts the word ‘the’ in every sentence. Very the fucking annoying! Luckily here is a turbo button, R1, in this game to speed up cutscenes and battles. And unless there was a major story cutscene I held this button the entire time. You could still read all of the texts as it wasn’t going too fast and you didn’t need to hear Tama speak. Listening to that will drive you mad. So the twins learn they are Mirage keepers and are set to fulfill the Crimson prophecy. And let’s leave it at that as I don’t like spoiling stories. But it was very good! With a couple of unexpected plot twists. Now what is a Mirage keeper? If you’re familiar with Final Fantasy you know there are a lot of classic monsters in the games: Cactuars, Tonberries, Behemoths.. The list goes on and on. In this game they are Mirages and you can catch them and put them in your active party fighting with you. You can evolve them into smaller or larger versions. This is a FF meets Pokemon game. As for the battle system it is turn based. You can bring a party of six into a battle and there is a stack system. Each Mirage you capture is either a S,M, or L in size. Lann & Reynn can switch between a M & L size too. Your stack consists of one of each of the sizes stacked on top each other combining their total strength. If you take too much damage your stack can fall making you fight as three individuals making you much weaker. Combining certain Mirages gives access to more powerful spells and abilities. Very simple, but a very good battle system. And as always, post game dungeons and super bosses. Only the developers forgot one little exploit: Gravity. Gravity is an attack that takes away 1/4 of the enemies health. In every other FF game bosses are ofcourse immune to this. But not in this game. Hey look, the hardest super boss in the game. Well I’ll just cast Gravity to instantly take away 70K HP. ? These bosses would be very hard to beat without this. Would have been fun, but I used Gravity nonetheless. Throughout the game you will meet many characters and places from old Final Fantasy games. You can summon some of these characters into battle too, to completely heal you or do a massive attack. And these characters and places made the game so enjoyable for me. Combined with a selection of the best old Final Fantasy songs playing while you visit these worlds I have just one word for it: Amazing! Onto talking about a few things I did not like about this game. First thing is some of the childish talking but as mentioned: R1 to the rescue! Second is that the menu system works at a snails pace. It takes half a second to open any in game menu in the game. Very frustrating and this should have gone way quicker. And finally some of the trophy requirements. I’ve spend 65 hours in this game and I completed the game and reached the true ending at exactly 30 hours. That means there was a 35 hour post game grind for me. RNG minigames. There are 4 minigames to play and 2 of them have heavy RNG. One of them is needed for a Mirage and I got that real quick. But the other was just ridiculous. It is minigame where you stand in the middle and cactuars appear around you. Where they appear you just press the direction and X and you will hit them. It lasts 1.5 minutes. Very simple. So I played it and didn’t miss a single cactuar and thought: ‘Well this was easy’. My score was 2400 points. No trophy. Well let’s look up how many points I need.. 5000!? Apparently there are some special cactuars that can spawn that give way more points or more time. This took me a whole hour and in that whole hour I didn’t miss a single cactuar. RNG bullshit! You need to max out 100 Mirage boards. A Mirage board is where you can strengthen and can get new abilities for your Mirages. For every Mirage Board you need to reach around lvl. 60-70 with your Mirage. I beat the post game dungeons at lvl 70 for example where lvl 99 is max lvl. After completing the entire game you know how many Mirage boards I had maxed out? Zero! Not even close to maxing out a single one. This was the last trophy I needed and it was a 8 hour non stop grind. Which isn’t too bad but there is just no need for this trophy to exist. And last but not least. You need to find every single treasure chest in the game. There are hundreds and there is no in game tracker. I played without a guide and although I go through every world and dungeon exploring everything I wasn’t surprised I didn’t get the trophy when I picked up the last chest in the game. Then I quickly went to check the most missable chests in the game and found a few I missed but still no trophy. And then there is only one thing left to do. A thing I hate doing. Following a collectible guide. And after going through every area, checking every spot, which took many hours, still no trophy. ? When I was going to stop searching for the day I thought I just casually run through the easier dungeons in the beginning one more time and there in almost plain sight: A treasure chest. Opened it. Ding! Trophy! How the hell did I miss that twice. ? Overall I really enjoyed the game although it had a slow start.
