Demon Souls - PS5 Oh boy....pretty demotivating week. I needed to farm pure black bladestone and it just didn't want to drop. After hours (!) of grinding; no result. I need it for a ring (which will result in a trophy ; finding 30 rings). So I will now try to do that in NG+. Fingers crossed it will drop. Wanted to do the online trophies this weekend and nobody summoned me for beating a boss together and I was only summoned 3 times for a PvP. One I lost and 2 I lost connection with. Not a good week at all. On the bright side; I am halfway through my NG+ so it must be doable to get this finished... Popular Post Arophous Posted January 24, 2022 Popular Post Share Posted January 24, 2022 A week of patience and some last minute ? additions kicked in... my main game all week was to focus on Gran Turismo Sport, had to continue my quest for 91 Wins and I managed to do it, enabling me to relax a little more and just focus on the rest of the grindy ? left for the platinum (322 races finished (on 291), level 40 and level 50). Alongside this I did also get the chance to briefly boost some PvP in Diablo 2 Resurrected, get the Ears trophy done so I don't have to worry about online servers for this game now. Someone also reached out about sharing a Standard of Heroes with me which is an end game item from defeating Ubers... I gladly received to pop another trophy. This week my goals are to get the 322 races and level 40 trophies in Gran Turismo Sport, leaving me 1 away from the plat. Maybe on the side some Fall Guys but who knows which trophy will pop if any... sure I must be nearing 500 rounds qualified. Control Really enjoying Control although I find some of the design decisions a little frustrating (only because there is so much cool stuff to play with mind you). Still on course for an end of February Platinum and then I'll probably aim for the 100% by the end of the year. At this stage I'm about half way through the story and picking up most of the extra curricular trophies as I go. It's great fun and I'm enjoying all aspects of it. Deep Rock Galactic Very much a long term project this one but we made some more progress this week - mostly the odd bronze trophy here and there. My plan is to hit the 100 solo missions trophy and then venture into the multiplayer side of things. I can't decide if that is going to be a good or bad thing at this stage but I've approached @HuntingFever so that I've got at least one familiar face in the party New Games Nothing new started this week but I'm considering my options once either Control or AC Unity is done. I'm currently torn between: Starting Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (will sink my % but I'm mindful there are online elements and it runs the risk of closing at some stage). Horizon Zero Dawn (need to do the DLC and the New Game Plus/Max Difficulty playthrough) Other games in my profile that have online elemnts (Tricky Towers, NFS: Heat, Burnout Paradise, Uncharted 4, The Division etc) If anyone has any thoughts or opinions, let me know. You're all doing bloody fantastic so far, yes even you reading this right now. Keep at it. Ambition is critical but pace is essential! That's it! Happy hunting everyone! I'd like to join, but for now, I am uncertain as to how low my percentage is going to drop. I plan on adding Uncharted 2 & 3, Dark Souls 2, infamous 2, R&C3, plus give or take another title or 2. Saying I'm at 76 games played, it should drop it by a decent amount. If its too late to join, not a big deal as I'm planning on adding the games regardless as a personal goal. I mostly played the same 2 games as last week but I did add one more into the mix I am gearing up to get started on soon. Ratchet & Clank Didn't play as much of this as I wanted to this week but I did manage to track down all the collectibles and complete my arsenal of weapons. Also got the hoverboard trophies out of the way so really all that's left if the last level and boss fight(s) to complete the first playthrough. Then its just playthrough the game again while leveling up the weapons to the new max in Challenge mode (NG+). Its been awhile but I don't recall the challenge mode being much of a challenge. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Finished up the Narco Roads dlc last night with @Man of Inaction so just the Fallen Ghosts dlc now left for the 100%. Will likely tackle it this week and finally check off the game as completed. Fallen ghosts looks more interesting than Narco Roads and doesn't seem to have the same grind so Im looking forward to it. Rise of the Tomb Raider Only just tinkered around in this one so far. Im just starting to explore the Siberian Wilderness and collect items so really barely scratched the surface from what I can tell. Should be fun getting back into a Tomb Raider game again. Plenty of trophies to nab as well. I played a little less than normal since I've been working on learning Python and did a dumb project over the course of the week. Trying to decide what's next. Not sure, but I think it will be trophy or Playstation related. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands - Finished the Narco Road DLC with @gruffiiti, we will probably take a small break and finish up something individually and come back together soon for the Fallen Ghosts DLC to bump this to 100% forever. I'll probably be working on it again before the end of the week. Tails of Iron - Working my way through this one kind of slowly but the plan is to knock it out 100% this week so I can finish my part of the trophy guide I mentioned last week. I spent more time in Wildlands than working on this game last week. Fall Guys: Still plugging away at this. It's pretty fun when I want something mindless. However, now that the season pass thing is completed, it feels stingy with the rewards and I'm less motivated to play it. I might hang it up until Season 7 comes out and go back to clean up some more trophies. I don't plan to attempt infallible at all and get the 100%. So it will just be done when I decide I'm through with working on it. I want to get it above 80% so it doesn't hurt my overall 80% completion goal to leave it unfinished. Deep Rock Galactic - I started this right when it launched and was disappointed when it kept crashing on me. I was planning to give up on it until some patches came through, but watching a YouTube video, I realized there were different graphics modes. I switched it away from Fidelity to Performance mode and farted around with kicking barrels around for a couple of hours and it seems stable now. I will probably play more of this in a couple of weeks. Starting Completion: 69.91% Goal Completion: 80.00% Current Completion: 70.19% Should be above 70.4% to make goal. VoltrefferNL Posted January 25, 2022 Share Posted January 25, 2022 Update #4. This week: Slow week for me, not much progress on any of the games as my game time was limited. Lot's of NFL watching... Doom 2016: Attempted the Arcade DLC, got the "hardest" trophy without trying much but haven't managed to pop the gold medal yet. Battle Rock Galactic: Got an unexpectedly big amount of trophies here, just played some more with friends and managed to pop some additional by just doing that. Mafia III: Played a few missions of the first DLC, enjoying getting back to this one. Next week: I'll do another attempt to get the gold medal in Doom and I might add some multiplayer in the mix. I kind of burned out after the Runes glitch ensured I have to do another run-through. Might park this for later in the year. Wanted to play something just for mindless fun and it certainly fits the bill, but I may have bitten off more than I can chew in regards to the 100%. The requirements to get platinum scores on a good chunk of its 50 levels are insane! I have about half of them but I don't have much confidence in getting all 50 but we'll see how it goes. Did get a UR trophy for my efforts thus far so one more challenge point gained for me at least. It took roughly 10 hours of farming for the pure bladestone before it finally dropped for me, and I read horror stories of some people spending up to twice that! (I was doing the original PS3 version which I've read has a worse drop rate than the PS5 remake, so hopefully you don't have as painful of an experience!) I am just glad I have a vita and a backlog to go with it to balance the force. Can't believe I am attempting to complete fat princess piece of cake with it only having an offline mode.
