Update

 

November was a slow month for me as I was having some major gaming burnout. Even still I managed to complete one game and make some good progress in a couple more. I want to send a shout out to @papert0wng1rl and @man_of_inaction (name change wont let me ping you) for helping me get out of my funk with some good co-op this month. Means a lot... Thanks!

 

 

Chicory: A colorful Tale

Had to force myself to stay focused and finish this one. It wasn't a bad game and it did have a lot of charm but I was dealing with some heavy IRL news at the time and nothing felt fun or worth playing at the time so this game felt like a chore to do. I probably should have taken more time away than I did but being stubborn I wanted to stay on track to hit the end of year goal. I'm sure I would have enjoyed this game a lot more if my mindset was different at the time.

 

Fallout Shelter

Decided this one needs to be knocked out and spent a bunch of time re-configuring my vault and working on upgrading dwellers. I know I am not playing this all that efficiently but I like that I can drop in and drop out whenever I feel like it. I haven't spent much time on quests yet but feel like I almost have enough high level dwellers to release into the wasteland soon and get my quest on. I am not using time skipping (mostly cause its too much effort but also don't want to mess around and fudge up another PS5) so this one will take as long as it takes i guess.

Remnant: From the Ashes

I had starting this a year ago with man_of_inaction and then life happened and we dropped it at the time. Started over with it this month as papert0wng1rl also joined us to fill out the team. It has been a really good time playing in co-op with them and it helped me out of the gaming funk I was in. Hoping to knock the rest of this out and the dlcs this month and keep the momentum going.

Just a little bit more to go! I managed to keep my completion above my goal and improve on my October numbers. I am currently working on a tougher platinum, so I took the opportunity to take breaks here and there to finish up some DLC and incomplete games on my profile. November saw me finish Jurassic World Evolution, Ghost of Tsushima, Far Cry 5, and FAR: Lone Sails. Ghost felt especially rewarding to complete, since it's been hanging on my profile since 2020. Besides the FAR, the only other game I started this month was Remnant: From the Ashes with @gruffiiti and @Man of Inaction (hey, I managed to ping him!), and it's been flying by! Really fun times playing co-op with a good team. There are still a few completion projects I would love to get to before the end of the year, but we'll see how my next platinum goes!

Well, even if you don't 100% or Plat the games, completing the stories and some misc trophies in each will net you a nice completion increase and you may find them quicker to finish then you think.

Thanks mate. I hope to knock out Remnant and Fallout Shelter this month and if I can get through the Score Attack runs in Rise of the Tomb Raider that would be fantastic too. I did pop that single trophy in South Park: TFbW last new years eve with the goal to do it this year so it may just happen still. If its anything like the first game its going to be a good time.

So here we are, 11 months down and 1 to go. In this past month, I accomplished my goal of a 5% increase to my overall completion. I have spoken at length regarding most of the games I played this month so I'll keep this update short and sweet. I dabbled in The Elder Scrolls Online and popped a few trophies including an easy Ultras Rare one. Then I started the challenge room DLC for BioShock and completed all trophies for 1 of 3 rooms. After that I finally got around to Platinuming Resident Evil 7. Following that was my move but just before the end of the month I got some gaming time in, this is where the bulk of my trophies for this month came surprisingly. I didn't really have a desire to get to into anything having quite a bit to still unpack so I upgraded my PS4 copy of Hitman 3 to the PS5 edition and bought the Deluxe Upgrade for cheap in the Black Friday sale. Naturally this auto-popped the entire list which is how I reached over 100 trophies this month. I played H3 a little then I moved onto streaming Bentley's Hackpack which is another collection of mini-games from Sly Cooper, I managed to get 13/15 trophies by months end bringing my overall percentage to 91.84%.

 

Looking forward to December, there is so much I want do! New games I actually want to play are coming out and my backlog keeps looking at me reproachfully. This morning I had time enough before work to finish off Bentley's Hackpack (I want to complete all the Sly Cooper games I just need Thieves in Time now) and I am not sure what to do next. I could just play the base game of Fallout: New Vegas through PS+ Premium but that would mean starting from scratch - maybe I'll do the Hardcore speedrun... I still need to complete the other 2 challenge rooms for BioShock so I might poke at that little. I could also see about finally getting the Rise of the Tomb Raider Co-op trophies done and get the 100% completion I have been eyeing for 2 years now. I could also work on Prey's DLC since I have access to Prey through PS+ Premium and I picked up the Mooncrash DLC in the Black Friday sale as well. There is also Knack through Premium but man, do I hate that game. Or I sit on my laurels and play some new games but I would love to break 92% overall completion.

I was on track to have my best month of the year as I was up to 79.4% by mid November and then I decided to ruin it by starting 3 new games in the space of 5 days meaning I'm currently trying to juggle 4 games at once lol.

 

Tetris Effect is nearly finished as I only have 90k rotations left to do, had 350k left 2 weeks ago so I should have the plat in less than a week if I commit 30 mins a day to it.

 

South Park: TFbW was meant to be my next game and I've enjoyed the few hours I've played so far but because I've been watching a lot of Snooker and Football lately the urge to play games based on them was too strong, I bought Snooker 19 about a year ago so I've been meaning to get to it anyway and the combination of the World Cup and Black Friday sales meant I bought FIFA 23 last week.

 

I should be able to plat South Park and FIFA by the end of the year so I'll see where that leaves me but it's going to be really close as to whether I hit 5% or not.

Thank you, I've replayed too many PS4 games across too many accounts, that's why I only do PS5 now haha.

Yes I would say Endling is worth playing, though even on sale it's a bit pricey. If you want a good emotional game though, I would recommend giving it a go.

the year is almost over i have only unlocked 1 platinum trophie this year i think i know my limits but next year i going to unlock alot of platinum trophies i am in the running of my 14th platinum i have skipped the bad ending from persona 5 royal i am right now at shido palace so persona 5 royal is going to be my 14th platinum trophie but i do not have al the confidants at maximum in 1 playtrough it seems it just dos not work for me but i have 4 confidants on rank 5 and 3 on 10 i think its going to work to see the true ending path chosen and unlocking that platinum trophie from persona 5 royal

Weekly Update Time.

 

Finished off GoW: Ragnarok, which I very much enjoyed.

 

Took advantage of the Black Friday deal, and upgraded my PsPlus to premium for a year.

Made use of thiks, and tried out a couple old Classics:

Ape Escape- One of the earlier PS1 games I can remember getting (mainly because I wanted an additional controller, and this came with a nice Green one). Never actually finished this back then, I think the controls jsut kind of frustrated my younger self, didn't find it too bad this time around.

Syphon Filter- Not one I'd played before, so don't feel any particular nostalgia towards it. Didn't feel it has aged well at all, trying to move about with the analogue sticks is like controlling a drunk person.

 

Next on my list, I'll be doing Syphon Filter 2, which I'm expecting to have similar issues to the first tbh.

i am really close to the persona 5 royal platinum trophie just 2 trophies left from the game just 1 palace left and i think i triggered the true ending and almost lvl 99 i did almost everithing in the game that was possible for to do my next game wil be either lego harry potter collection ore far cry primal

Week 48 STARTING PERCENTAGE 79.39%

A slightly bigger chunk out of the percentage this week, still plenty of work to do though. Finished the main questline the other day (just the 115 hours to get there) and nearing the end of the cleanup with just one more area to explore properly. After that, it'll be onto Playthrough #2 on Nightmare difficulty, which since I won't have to focus so much on being nice to people and spending my between main questline time doing the medieval apoocalyptic equivalent of picking up their dry cleaning shouldn't take nearly as long as that.

 

Clearly the Maker (or your deity of choice) was smiling on me and the DLCs went back on sale last Monday, so picked them up. Once the cleanup and couple of remaining miscellaneous trophies have been secured I'll definitely get at least the first one out of the way this week. Not quite decided whether to do the three DLCs one after the other straight away or to spread them out over the last couple of weeks - this far into the year I don't really want to post my first zero change update at this point (not that it matters too much, it's just the principle of the thing) and while the Nightmare mode playthrough hopefully won't take as long as my Normal one did, it'll probably still take a while. We'll see later on in the week.

 

Only other thing is that DLC3 is half story and half "trials", basically main quest gameplay modifiers. Managed to knock out a couple already with my slightly overpowered Normal character to boost my percentage a wee bit and can get one more ticked off at this point (killing super-powered bears) before moving on, however by the looks of the guide there's a bit of RNG involved in that, which promises to be a frustrating and time consuming experience - I still have mild trauma over the RDR2 grindathon of a couple of years ago. So after the last area Buckles and Friends are all going on a bear hunt. Most of the rest of the trials will need setting up strategic saves on Playthrough #2 to make things a lot easier so hopefully my memory won't let me down when the time comes for that. And a couple need a fresh starting playthrough up to a particular point, which is gonna take ages and suck big time.

 

Still hopeful about finishing all this off before the end of the year though, tantalisingly close to 80% now. Pleasing stuff.

LOL I was going to @ you that the DLC was back on sale.

 

Trial of the hermit was my last trophy, those dang bears took me forever.

 

Trials of temperance, magician, fool and lovers could all be done on a 3rd partial easy playthrough - I do not recommend doing any of them on Nightmare, you might manage the lovers trial but I wouldn't risk losing any companions.

After the hell I went through at the trebuchets in Normal, I'm defintely not going near it on Nightmare any more than I have to! Never even considered trying to get them all in the same one, but looking at it again it does look reasonably do-able. Thank goodness for easy modes!

my 14th platinum is unlocked persona 5 royal finally it was a great game i enjoyed it and now i going to play a shorter game like far cry primal ore lego harry potter collection persona 5 royal is done i did everithing in 1 playtrough my completion rate is now 17.66 thanks to the platinum trophie from persona 5 royal i wil increas it to 25 and above i thought at first my backlog was not doable but now i just go on game to game i wil see once my backlog is finished but i cant finish fifa 19 and 20 but i dont really care about it i dont like fifa games at all

Hello everybody!

 

Only one month to go! Since I have reached my goal of a 5% increase I am kind of doing games that take longer/only need 1 trophy or so

 

Ghost Recon Wildlands + DLC (0/2) -PS4

Bought the DLC Narcos Roads as I was into some Ghost Recon stuff. Had gotten the platinum years ago. Unfortunately, only 20% feels like a GR game. The rest is all kind of activities that would be better in a different game, like making jumps with cars, trials with bikes, flying through markers, etc.. It is clear that Ubisoft didn't had any inspiration. This DLC could have been so much more. I am currently working on getting the whole map on 100%. Will do the 2nd DLC straight after that so that this game is done and can be forgotten about....

Decent week! Call of Duty and Dragon Quest Heroes I'm playing for the Winter backlog challenge, everything else was just checking out other backlog games and nabbing some easy-ish trophies from them. I finally got the platinum for Wizodd after learning about the invincibility trick, and that let me finally get all four necklaces in one run. Not sure if I'll keep playing any of the others, but it was nice to make a little progress on them all.
