Sailar91 Posted June 13, 2022 Share Posted June 13, 2022 Guys it’s pretty much pointless to be upset, the service already closed in 2 continents, will die today in US and in 10 days in EU, so it’s basically dead right now Everything that isn’t part of the Extra list will be removed, maybe temporarily because they need to sign new contracts with the developers/publishers we don’t know. Not sure if anything else from the list posted above is still around. Edit: No no Kuni, which was NA only, has also been removed. Edit: some, but not all, of my claimed Now games that were removed appear to have converted to full licenses and I can download and still play them. It's possible this could just be the switch over still in progress and the licenses will update later. But until I see PlayStation make any official statements, I'm personally chalking this up as a net negative. I'm not accusing you of this in particular, but the receipts and cope in this thread are going to be amazing if the service continues in this direction. First thing I checked was to see if any of the Konami or SEGA games that got taken off Now in May were back: Nothing Bandai Namco games that got dropped with the transition?: Nothing FIRST PARTY EXCLUSIVES: Poof Re-adding the same games that were dropped would be silly and is super unlikely, so now it's probably just placing bets on what games from earlier platforms they'll be introducing to placate us. I won't even suggest my picks because they're almost all licensed IP, and when they released originally it was by a company that's been absorbed by now by some other mega publisher who doesn't give a damn about the end consumer; we're never seeing said games again. Quite a few of the PS3 games were replaced with PS4 versions, new games were brought in - there are a few duplicates for both PS4 and PS5 (but not many + still technically two games if going for the trophies)... MemegodOshi Posted June 13, 2022 Share Posted June 13, 2022 It's quite sad to be honest, with a lot of these games, it's as if they have been replaced by worse games (excluding the first party stuff) There were definitely some old ps now games I would love to play that have been removed from ps now. Even some first-party ps3 games like the sly or Killzone games have been removed, it just feels odd. Regarding the situation itself, I can't say that I've been following it too closely to fully know what's going on. Some of the titles that are leaving is odd I will admit, but I can't say I care too much regarding a lot of the PS3 stuff, because it's streaming only. There seems to be well over 700+ titles in the new service which is roughly on par with what we had in the old service, and seemingly there is even less duplicates this time around, so it kind of balances out. KaosGames1226 Posted June 14, 2022 Share Posted June 14, 2022 So not sure if anyone else discovered this but I tested a game that was formerly on NA ps now (adventure time) that is NOT included in the ps plus relaunch. The game was still in my download list and typically removed games from ps now would have a padlock. This game let me download and play it (tested on my alt just in case). I then noticed several games I ‘claimed’ from ps now that were left out of the ps plus relaunch are subject to this. Ben 10 is another one.
