Black Ops excels in this department. Those 3 are universally regarded as the best campaigns, and even overall games, in addition to Black Ops 2. And Cold War, MW 2019. My personal top 3 campaigns as well. 2 hours ago, dieselmanchild said: It’s a damn shame about the state of Black Ops 2 as I would have loved to check out that one next. I really enjoyed earning all the trophies for this one and getting some more experience with zombies, so I think I’ll definitely have to tackle another CoD game for the UR cleanup this year. As of now, I’m thinking my next one will probably be Black Ops Cold War or BO3. Tony’s post above definitely got me leaning into that Cold War though. 😁 I also just bought a PS5 a couple weeks ago, so I’ve been taking a bit of a detour to check out some PS5 games. It really is... Haha, yeah, I'd recommend you Cold War for sure, specially the PS5 version. Congrats on the PS5 too!

I enjoyed your write up though, I was already thinking about checking out Cold War next after I finished BO1 and your praise for it helped sell me on it. Are you able to elaborate at all on the mp trophies ‘Party Patrol’ and ‘Mean Machine’? Apparently Fireteam is dead, and I just joined a boosting group that is recruiting for these trophies but there’s some confusion on how many people are needed to get a match going. I’ve read as little as 8 and as many as 40 when I Googled it. 😳

Apparently Fireteam is dead, and I just joined a boosting group that is recruiting for these trophies but there’s some confusion on how many people are needed to get a match going. I’ve read as little as 8 and as many as 40 when I Googled it. 😳 Thanks! Good to hear. Yes. About party patrol, I think it was 16, the minimum number to start, but I remember reading it was 32 or something like that, close to the 40 you are mentioning. The reason I even started this game last year is because someone I know started gathering people for this Party Patrol trophy, and they were counting the number of people, consoles, and second controllers (for splitscreen), to get as many players and dummies as possible to start the games. But that didn't work out, as not everyone showed up and we weren't that many anyway, and most importantly, we were able to find some people playing so using second consoles was not really needed, maybe sometimes if you were missing 1 or 2 to start. What we did in the end is, stay in the lobby, searching for like an hour (usually less), waiting for people to join during Fridays and the weekend. And we were able to find games that way. Then, we'd try and have 1 squad of 4 and 1 squad of 2. The 4 men squad hid in a corner of the map away from the action, and the other two killed. One hid close to them to let the other one spawn should he be killed by other people playing. Then after finishing, swap roles. Yes, the other squad needed to parachute and rendevous on the same point all the time after dying. And randoms were a problem sometimes. This would be 6 people, but you can also do it with 5, having only one killer (sucks if you get killed and have to rendevous again), and with 4 people, as the squad wipe medals require to kill a squad of 3 or 4 people. So killing 3 buddies works. The problem is, random people will join that squad and make it a 4 player one, so now you have to wait until that guy dies and then kill your 3 buddies QUICKLY. And of course, you'll get the pros or the mega campers. So best be 5 players. Randoms can also join your squad and mess things up, spawning close to you and killing... Or look at what you're doing perplexed lol. So yeah, if you are able to find games, 5 people is all you need. Now if you could be 8 that'd be even better as you wouldn't get randoms in any of the 2 squads. Use a silencer to not attract attention. For Mean Machine, I got a lot of kills playing Combined Arms, in the Armada map the guide mentions, with tanks and snowbikes running people over lol, as well as with boats in another map. And simply using the RC-XD car as a scorestreak in more populated modes. This is the way to go, though it takes some time. You can combine it with calling the 50 scorestreaks and winning 50 times trophies.

Idk how populated Fireteam is anymore but it’s at least a relief to know extra consoles + split screen can shave those numbers down. As long as we get a core group of dedicated boosters we will have a chance at getting some games going. I don’t wanna spam the thread so if I have anymore questions I’ll PM you directly. Really appreciate the info though, I’ll relay this to the group. Cheers.
Popular Post OzaXD
#2 Mirror's Edge (2.75% 0.66%) Difficutly: 6/10 Enjoyment: 6.5/10 I completed Mirror's Edge a few weeks ago but only getting aorund to post about it now. After recently completing the remake Mirror's Edge Catalyst due to the server shutdown annoucement, it was quite apparent how much better the pathfinding for parkour was in the newer game when compared to the original. When I first started I was constantly missing jumps which I took for granted in the remake and had to be much more accurate with my movement's as apposed to "locking on" to the terrain from a mile away. In saying that even though the original was far more clunkier and less fluid it was still somehow better? I'm not to sure how to explain it but it the parkour felt more natural, In Catalyst the entire map felt extremely similar and the parkour felt almost scripted. The trophy list was fairly simple although sadly requiring 3 full playthroughs, one to unlock hard while getting the collectables, a hard playthrough, and another of each individual level speedruns. The most difficult part and the reason I picked up the game to begin with were the time trials. Sadly the difficulty to a lot of them were quite inconsistant, there were some I'd complete in my first proper run after implementing a route and others that took me 30+ tries. Overall I still enjoyed the game although the three playthrough's killed my enjoyment a little bit. #3 XCOM 2 (Q4 Bounty 0.87% 0.39%) Difficulty: 7/10 Enjoyment: 4/10 I last played XCOM: Enemy Unknown ~10 years ago when it was released originally on PC, so while I was not completely new to the turn based genre it had been quite a while since I played anything similar. For those who don't know an XCOM campaign takes quite a long time especially on the harder difficulties and I did not want to do 4-5 multiple playthroughs of the game in order to get the platinum, so I opted for the most realistic yet quickest route which is a "legend" difficulty ironman run and another quick run on a lower difficulty afterwards for some separate trophies. Legend is the hardest difficulty and Ironman is an option you can toggle which basically disables saving and loading whenever you please. This however can be worked around by using PS+ cloud saves so while a mistake will still cost quite some time you can revert back to a prior spot to avoid any crucial soldier deaths (which are permanent). The base game of XCOM 2 has a glitch which basically allows you to constantly keep your turn so the enemies don't get to act at all. In order to do this glitch you need to reload your saved game after every turn, which doesn't sound to bad... but even on a PS5 the load screens on this game are LONG like, 1+ minute long. Due to actually wanting to play the game and not constantly sit multiple 1-2 minute loadscreens for each mission I opted to play as legitimately as I could, while still using PS+ cloud storage if I got unlucky or made a mistake in order to not screw my entire playthrough. I got quite far into the playthrough legitimately but after failing the final few missions a few times I decided to screw it and use the glitch in order to finally finish up the legend ironman playthrough (sorry purists I tried). I then quickly beat the second playthrough which requires you to finish the final mission before a specific date in game which is the equivalent of a speedrun. After completing the game twice I had all the DLC remaining and another trophy from the base game "Kill 500 Enemies" remaining (which cannot be tracked in the base game) but at this point I was quite burnt out and decided to play some other games for a few months. The other week I finally decided to return to finish things up and thought "hey i'll just get the remaining 500 enemies in the DLC since I'm sure to be close" which turned out to be an awful decision. It turns out the kill counters are completely separate from the base game and the DLC, and 500 enemies is A LOT like you kill 10-15 enemies MAX on some missions and missions take a decent amount of time even on the lower difficulties due to the nature of the game. Thankfully all the DLC trophies could be done on the easiest difficulty so the majority were extremely simple to do however by the time I had earnt everything else the psuedo enemy counter that shows in the DLC I had around 250 enemies left which is still quite a lot and at this stage I was deep into the late game so the enemies were quite tanky. Luckily I had an idea and found a semi afk farmable method on the chosen boss fights, although I could only do these 3 times as once the chosens are defeated you cannot return. The next issue then occured where after I had killed around 50 enemies in the chosen room the game became extremely sluggish and started to crash constantly so I was forced to finish the mission due to how poorly optimised it is. After doing this the max three times I was able to farm the last 80 or so enemies I needed through normal missions in order to pop the final base game trophy awarding me the plat. TLDR: dogwater optmised game ruined enjoyment. Probably slowly continue working on my Persona 4: Arena combo trials as I'm getting semi close to 125 plats and want to pop it for the milestone, I'm about halfway done with them so far although they're kicking my ass a bit. Popular Post OBSTINATIO
Difficulty: 4–5/10 Time for 100%: 12–15 hours Game Rating: 7/10 Trophy-List: 5/10 Number of UR-Trophies: 2 Call of Juarez: Gunslinger has been on my PS3-backlog for almost a decade… now I finally got around to this highly praised last installment of the long gone Call of Juarez franchise. Apparently the game has been delisted in the US. In Europe it is still available for 15€ if anyone is interested to give this one a go. The game still holds up pretty well and since there is nothing like it on modern consoles you might want to play it if you like the western setting like I do. The PSNProfiles-guide rates this with a "7" and "25 hours" what is quite a exaggeration. After your first playthrough you have pretty much all trophies besides arcade-mode and unlocking all upgrades. Unfortunately unlocking all upgrades will take almost an entire second new-game-plus run. First run took me around 6-7 hours and the second around 4. Once you have completed the campaign only thing left is the arcade mode: 10 missions in which you have to beat a certain score. Half of the missions I got three stars on my first try, some took a few attempts but nothing too difficult. Took me around 2 hours to complete and was the most fun part of the game. Tier I: (4/5) 1) Generation Zero (PS4) 2) Grand Theft Auto V (PS4) 3) Just Cause 2 (PS3) 4) Call of Juarez: Gunslinger (PS3) 5)… I am not quite sure which game will be next: I started playing the Bionic Commando Rearmed games but I doubt I will ever beat them – especially the first one. The game is a 10/10 in all seriousness. Besides those games I also will give Metal Gear Solid Rising a shot soon. Popular Post zaxonzaxon
Got three games to add, finishing off my first tier: Steep (DLC Cleanup), Yakuza Kiwami, and Deep Rock Galactic (DLC Cleanup). Steep I plat'ed 3 years ago during a snowstorm. I would go outside and shovel until freezing and exhausted, then come inside and warm up by... bashing my head against snowboarding challenges. You'd think that would be snow overload, but I have very fond memories of it. We ended up recently getting our first snow here since that storm 3 years ago, and so the timing was perfect to finally mop up the DLC. Very fun game, and it was great to revisit it. Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the first game in the series, which I played while everyone else is enjoying the latest Yakuza hotness. Had a blast with it, and I now completely understand why there are 7 million sequels and spin-offs of this franchise. Deep Rock Galactic I plat'ed last year and completely forgot that I had one trophy unfinished: If Only I Got Paid to Do This, which requires getting a high score in a barrel-kicking mini game. It's pretty easy...... except for the fact that the hoop you kick the barrel into moves, and randomly changes speed. (Huge surprise that's ultra rare....). I ended up hitting the target score exactly on my last kick, and am quite happy to have that wonderful behemoth of a game finally 100%'d. ✔️ TIER 1 Tentative second tier, which will probably take quite a bit longer than the first: 1. The Forest (3.6%) 2. The Last Guardian (3%, Bounty) 3. Hundred Days (3.6%) 4. XCOM2 (0.9%, Bounty) 5. Kingdome Come Deliverance (2.15%)

Popular Post rjkclarke
Tier 1: GreedFall (PS4)100% Star Ocean The Last Hope International (PS3) 72% Mafia II (PS3) 73% Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3) 91% The Last Guardian (PS4) 0% 1/5 Games Completed So.... I thought I'd stop by and FINALLY.... say that I've played and finished GreedFall, after having it installed on both a PS4 and a PS5 for the last few years, what a great time I had with it as well, I mean, it makes sense, I'm an absolute sucker for janky EURORPG's so this one was always going to be way up my street anyway, replaying a couple of sections of the game did become a bit tiresome towards the end, but you know.... I think that was a me problem, as I basically did them all in one sitting... so I can't blame Spiders.... the erm, developer... not the little eight legged fella's Anyway.... I wrote a bit more silly waffle about GreedFall in a status update.. so you can read it in this spoiler bubble should you wish to, it isn't mandatory or anything, obviously 🤣 Spoiler It might have taken me.... oh, I don't know, about four years of owning the game and having it installed on two separate consoles , but I finally started and finished GreedFall, and had a really fun time doing it. Spiders, as a game developer, I genuinely think are underrated. Yes, I will agree with anyone that says that their games lack a little bit of polish, but that isn't always a bad thing. What they've always done, is listen to criticisms, take them on board and actually try and improve upon those going into the next game. I've genuinely enjoyed every game they've released that I've played, to some extent, and that was no different with GreedFall. I massively enjoyed how immersive the world was (not quite as much as The Technomancer, and Mars: War Logs universe,) but still very much enjoyed it. The interesting mixes of cultures and civilisations that make up Teer Fradee, or however the game decides to spell it, depending on where you are ... One of the things I found most interesting was how a lot of the ways to solve quests work contextually, and in a really clever way too. EuroRPG's, with the exception of The Witcher 3 have never exactly been known for dynamic and amazing gameplay, this is definitely on the better side of that, but it isn't perfect. However, you play as a diplomat, so the game often encourages you to approach situations in the most peaceful way possible. I've always enjoyed deep speech-craft as a skill option in RPG's and it's really quite well done here. the way the charisma talent and insight talents influence dialogue is genuinely well written, as the main character uses his or her intelligence to read the situation and act accordingly. Interestingly, trophy hunting probably led me to having a better overall time with this one, as you end up spending more time playing as the female version of De Sardet a little more, both male and female versions are pretty engaging voice actors, but I think the female one is a little stronger.... Maybe don't get an eyesore of a Naut face tattoo on your playthrough though, otherwise your Lady De Sardet will look like she has a beard made of ink.... If you're a fan of EuroRPG's in general, or like a bit of jank in your video games every once in a while, or like big expansive faction based questing like you find in Risen and Gothic, then this might interest you too! I know we don't need to offically throw together a list like this... and I guess if I finish anything that isn't on it and is UR then I'll swap that in instead, but it's nice to have one there as something I can look at and be like.... " Rob, you still need to play this you fanny" which yes is a conversation I often have with myself, or my girlfriend tends to have with me these days So I put Star Ocean there to actually keep reminding myself to keep chipping away at it.... Saying that though, I'm hoping that I'll have Grand Theft Auto IV, platinumed (is that a word? ) and 100%'ed by the end of the evening, so hopefully before too long I'll be on 2/5. Either way, I'll catch you in the next one 😂

Popular Post ShadyWARcotix
Update: Finished Just Cause 2. I only did 1 playthrough on Hardcore. This game wasn't hard at all and I enjoyed it a lot (Skipped the whole story tho because I heard it's really bad and I'm honest idc about the story in this game). Also try to pick up as many health armor pick ups on your journey. I also killed ALL colonels and did ALL challenges. They are easy % for your 75% completion. If you have a hard time just buy a helicopter from the black market. It's the same with races you can do them with a helicopter There was 1 long race which was easier with a helicopter but I would say all of them are really easy and don't forget to upgrade the helicopter with vehicle parts btw and also try to upgrade your weapons as early as possible. I would say upgrade your Assault rifle, grenades / c4s and sub mashine guns. I only played with these guns or equipments. I didn't think the 75% was a slog. I enjoyed every second of it. Did few missions here, collected stuff here and there and don't forget you don't have to 100% every location. If you don't find something move on or come back later. Don't waste time for 1 collectible. Also one important thing. I don't know If I didn't see or skipped it in the tutorial but there is a sensor on the upper left corner which shows you if you are near of far away from a resource item (cash stashes, vehicle or weapon part, health armor). I had a hard time finding them in the beginning. and for those who don't know you can fast travel in this game (I read in some forums that some people were clueless how to do it lol) Press down and triangle and pick extraction. You can extract on every location you found on the map (yellow dots). If you don't find any destroyable stuff, you can use this interactive map: https://jc2map.info/ I only did a ng run for the "invincible trophy" because it's easy on the second mission. Do this on your hardcore run so you don't need to start a ng but it doesn't matter. it will only take you 10 or 15 minutes so it's not the end of the world. Anyway, I am glad I motivated you to give this game a chance. Funnily our gaming-path crosses again with Metal Gear Rising. After I'll have finished Beyond Good and Evil I will too focus on MGR. Let's see if one of us is able to complete Metal Gear Rising this year.

It just a boring grind, much easier than Tennis World Tour 1. My 16th tennis game and rarest platinum so far.
