Popular Post InfinateEternity
It's time for my first update of the year, and, with a lot of heavy lifting from SoulCalibur 5, I'm officially in the Bronze Tier! (@Rebourne07) If there are any issues with my calculations, please let me know! The Legend of Dragoon (PSNP Guide) was a wonderful touch of JRPG nostalgia that has a mature story which starts with you trying to save the protagonist's kidnapped childhood best friend. But, develops into a dragon-filled fantasy tale full of religious allegory & commentary on both racism and classism (with a touch of politics). Beyond that, there is an exploration on the meaning of family, and human relationships. Features some voice acting, and a great OST, as well as rhythm-based gameplay. Would definitely recommend if you haven't played it yet! (Read my full thoughts: HERE) SoulCalibur 5 (PSNP Guide) was a fighting game clean-up, where I just to grind my profile to level 99 (had 9 levels to go) and finish grinding the 86,700m of movement in battle (which is something I do NOT want to repeat again! - See HERE for more info).

Sea of Stars I started when it hit plus last year. Played through two thirds of it and shelved it for other priority games. Finally sat down and finished the rest. Very solid RPG with a pretty decent trophy list. Just didn't like the artful gambit trophy requiring me to replay a decent chunk of the game in NG+. God of War Ascension I knocked out the single online trophy back in 2019 so it was sitting at 1%. I have been playing several PS3 games lately so figured it was time to actually play the game. It was just okay. Story didn't really feel that important to the series as a whole, and the environments felt a little repetitive. Having not played a God of War game in some time I wasn't really bothered by the game play changes in this entry. Several dumb trophies though that you probably won't get through normal means. The 1000 hit combo is the most egregious. I believe this qualifies for the Repentance badge. Edited January 14 by MrHealthy
Popular Post CorgiBootyy
Just a couple games done so far, been chipping away at Monster Hunter, but I'm sure that will take me another month at least just for the base game. Payday was a big one to finally knock out though, just over 11 years completion time. PST guide for that DLC pack I think under-rates the time and difficulty by a few points, but oh well. Will probably start working on finishing up Payday 2 in the next bit now as well.

Some of the games I am completing have a guide on PlaystrationTrophies, however, they use a time range for estimated time to platinum (for example 6-10 hours). In these cases, should we consider for example, the average? (In this example, 8 hours). Thanks.
Finch_III
@Rebourne07, I have a similar question to the poster above RE: timeframes on Playstationtrophies guides. I'm thinking of doing the Binding of Isaac DLCs. Both Afterbirth+ and Repentance are on PSNProfiles. But I can only find the first Afterbirth DLC on Playstationtrophies, where it has a timeframe of ... 1 month haha. Is there any way of translating that into something I can use for this challenge? MrHealthy
@Kirenoxs Your Arkham Knight DLC start dates can be the start date of the base game per this comment (also mentioned in the time multiplier section of the OP); Go get that 1.7 multiplier!
Rebourne07
@InfinateEternity Congratulations on Bronze tier!! @Kirenoxs Yeah @MrHealthy is right, your start date for DLC is the start date of the base game. @Caju_94 @Finch_III If a game doesn't have a PSNProfiles guide, but is listed on playstationtrophies.org and a time range is given, then you can use the highest number in the range. So if the most voted time option is say, 20-30hrs, then the time estimate for the purposes of this challenge is 30hrs.

draqilo
On 12/11/2023 at 4:53 PM, Rebourne07 said: Backlog Challenge 2024 Premise During the year 2024 finish as much of your backlog as you can. Each game and DLC pack is weighted by difficulty and time estimate. Points are totaled up and you climb the ranks according to your earned points. Rules The challenge begins January 1st, 2024 and runs through December 31st, 2024. Anyone can sign up at any time during the year. For a game to count it must have at least one trophy timestamped before January 1st, 2024 and at least one trophy timestamped after January 1st, 2024. Games that do not have one trophy timestamped, but were loaded onto your profile at 0% do not count Games you started in 2024 from scratch do not count For a DLC pack to count, the base game or DLC pack must have at least one trophy timestamped before January 1st, 2024 and the DLC pack must be 100% completed after January 1st, 2024. It doesn't matter if you're starting from a single trophy earned or a single trophy away from completion. It all counts the same. If the game has a platinum trophy, then you must earn the platinum trophy to count it. If the game doesn't have a platinum trophy, then you must earn 100% base game trophies to count it. For DLC packs, you must get 100% in the DLC pack to count it. Each DLC pack is worth it's own set of points according to it's difficulty / time estimate. If a game or DLC pack has a PSNProfiles guide, you must use the difficulty rating and time estimate from that guide. If a game has 2 guides, you can use whichever results in you getting more points. If a game does NOT have a PSNProfiles guide, just post and ask if a different official guide with a difficulty rating and time estimate is ok to use if you can find one. Auto pops count. Completion is completion. When calculating points, please be honest. It'd be too much work to check the math and timestamps on every game for every player so realistically only the top performers on the leaderboard will be checked, but please aim to be as accurate as possible in your calculations and only include games you know you had progress on pre-2024 to keep things fair and fun for everyone. Once there are 10+ people in Platinum tier a Top 10 Players chart will be made and kept updated. The longer or harder the game / DLC pack is, the more points it's worth. See the Points and Multipliers section below for details. Points & Multipliers Hide contents Each platinum, base game 100% or DLC pack you complete is worth: Difficulty Rating * Time Estimate For example...if you had Cyberpunk 2077 in your backlog, having started it pre-2024 and then you platinum'd it in 2024 you would earn: Difficulty Rating = 3/10 Time Estimate = 85hrs 3 * 85 = 255 points Or say you completed 100% trophies in the Resident Evil 7: Biohazard - Banned Footage Vol. 1 DLC pack then you would earn: Difficulty Rating = 7/10 Time Estimate = 15hrs 7 * 15 = 105 points PROFILE MULTIPLIERS: The larger your backlog, the more options you have to earn points. However, for those with higher completion rates: Profile at 80%+ completion => All points for each game past that completion level are multiplied by 1.25x Profile at 85%+ completion => All points for each game past that completion level are multiplied by 1.50x Profile at 90%+ completion => All points for each game past that completion level are multiplied by 1.75x Profile at 95%+ completion => All points for each game past that completion level are multiplied by 2.00x SYSTEM MULTIPLIERS: Special incentive is given to go back and do games outside the typical PS4/PS5 ecosystem: PSVR or PSVR2 games => All points for each VR game are multiplied by 1.25x The game must require VR, not just have an optional VR mode. PS Vita games => All points for each Vita game are multiplied by 1.5x The game must be Vita only or PS3+Vita: counts for the multiplier counts for the multiplier does NOT count for the multiplier PS3 games => All points for each PS3 game are multiplied by 1.5x The game must be PS3 only or PS3+Vita: counts for the multiplier counts for the multiplier does NOT count for the multiplier does NOT count for the multiplier TIME MULTIPLIERS: The longer a game has been in your backlog, the more points it's worth: Once you complete the game, look at the time to platinum / time to complete: If this time is anything less than 1 year, it does NOT qualify for a multiplier If this time is 1 year or greater, then a multiplier is applied using the formula: 1.Years Ex: Platinum/Completed in 1 year+ => 1.1x Ex: Platinum/Completed in 4 years+ => 1.4x Ex: Platinum/Completed in 12 years+ => 2.2x Etc. Months are irrelevant. Only years count. 11 months is not a year. This applies to DLC too. Even if you platinum'd the game forever ago. If you finish the DLC in 2024, then it qualifies for this multiplier. To find your start date for DLC, just use the First Trophy Date on the base game: COMPLETION MULTIPLIER: For games with unobtainable / impossible-for-you trophies, you can get partial credit. This multiplier requires a bit more tracking. Take note of your Start % before beginning a game that you know you either can't or won't get 100% on and record it on the Google Sheet. It's hidden by default so you'll need to expand the two hidden section between columns E&H and columns L&N. After getting as far as you can/will, record your End % and your Completion multiplier will be calculated for you. The formula is End% - Start% / 100. All modifiers stack! Badges & Hall of Fame Hide contents As an added bonus to help keep everyone engaged in their backlogs even after hitting Platinum tier, there are badges you can earn. These will only be applied to those in Platinum tier on the leaderboards (5k+ points). If your backlog completions for the year have earned you a badge, just tag me and I'll add it to the leaderboards. Arduity - Finish a game or DLC Pack of anything with a difficulty rating of 9 or 10 Blood, Sweat and Tears - Earned 5k points even if you removed any outliers (1k+ completions) Closure - Finish a game that you started your first year of trophy hunting Drop in the Bucket - Completed a game or DLC for 1 point (before or after modifiers) Finishing Touch - Platinum or 100% the base game of a true backlog game (1 year+) you already had 50%+ done Got ‘Er Done - Completed 4+ DLC packs on a single game One Shot - Reached 1250 points with a single game (game + DLCs ok) Phew - Platinum or 100% a game with servers shutting down in 2024 Repentance - Take a true backlog game (1 year+) from <10% to 100% Round 2 - Finish all DLC on a game you platinumed over half your profile’s age ago Hall of Fame Most Points - TBD Most Completions - TBD Most DLC Packs - TBD Most Points from a Single Game - TBD Most Points from a Single DLC Pack - TBD Most VR Completions - TBD Most PS3 Completions - TBD Most Vita Completions - TBD Longest Completion - TBD Players with 8+ Badges - TBD To sign up, just comment below! I'd say we could estimate what a month is...but that's so wishy washy that it would be pretty much guessing and hurt the integrity of the points system. The best solution, though far from ideal cause of how much work is involved, would be for you to complete it then write a guide for it here on psnprofiles and use that rating and time estimate once its published. Either that or just not get points for those DLC trophies. idk, that's a hard one man. 13 hours ago, draqilo said: I'm coming with over 20k+ points after I earn Fortnite platinum as all 3 stacks and I got roblox and cold war 100%, roblox for the 1 point badge, I'm finishing my last 30 zones and I'm the king with over 4 prestiges. Popular Post Sephiroth-22-
Update # 2. I've highlighted my new completions in green. Limbo was a big win for me. I was 1 trophy (the 5 or less death run) away for 6 years. Thanks to this event, I found the motivation to go back and get it done. I also made more progress on Valhalla. Got 4 more DLC lists to go! Not looking forward to the Mastery Challenges though. Lastly, Borderlands 3 is a game I only play co-op with a buddy from out of state. The progress is gonna be slow, but we're hopping to play through all of the DLC's this year. I've been enjoying reading through everyone's updates so far. Best of luck!

Popular Post Caju_94
Time for update no.2 I was not expecting the next three entries on my entries to be these ones, but it happened. Meanwhile, I started a new game, hence why my percentage didn't raise that much between the first and second game. On Super Toy Cars (https://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/topic/265134-super-toy-cars-trophy-guide-and-roadmap/), I only had a trophy left, where I had to drive for a total of 500 miles, so after a couple of hours driving around in races I finally got the 100%. Goat Simulator was one of these games I had to platinum for a long time because... Well, I got it more for curiosity and as a sandbox for fun in the first days. Finally managed to get all the collectibles and misc trophies left and even finish one of the DLCs. I am planning to finish the other 3 DLCs as well. I am tackling various games, especially Blur (PS3), since I know it will give me quite a big number of points. I am also completing a tab in my own event Excel, where I am putting all the games of my backlog eligible for the event so I can predict the points they will give and strategize. On the other hand, Arkham City, oh Jesus, Catwoman challenges were very hard for me, since I did first the ones in Arkham Knight and the gameplay is way smoother and faster, I felt like I didn't move fast enough, I read that Catwoman challenges are the hardest in Arkham City tho., I'm doing now Nightwing and Robin and those don't seem too bad, since you can complete Black Mask and Wayne Manor for medals. Anyways, I noticed my formula was not adding up all rows so I modified it and I my points almost doubled 🤦♂️ https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1v-r4TcIoXpli0gO-0O6aYLP2d9dywRido7Vpv0uTYtE/edit#gid=1701472501
