Popular Post DrBloodmoney
One more entry down! Box: "Player's Choice" Game: "Harold Halibut" A stop-motion narrative Adventure Game, painstakingly built out of real models, and scanned into a game, Harold Halibut is a slow-paced, but surprisingly long and involving tale of a disconnected and down-trodden handyman in a society long-stranded aboard a crashed spacecraft at the bottom of an alien ocean, who ends up finding his place in the universe, when he makes first contact with an alien race. The game looks incredible - it's basically a 15-hour Wes Anderson film, and feels in a lot of ways like it belongs in the same universe as Isle of Dogs - the stop motion and physical aspects make for one of the best looking games I think I've ever seen! The story is slow, and quite low-key and gentle, but gets surprisingly involving and quite moving at times, and it's rounded out with some really unusual and interesting music, and does some really cool stuff with the sci-fi elements in the latter half. This one didn't really fit any of the boxes I had left... ...but that's exactly why I keep the "Player's Choice" box free, so there it goes!
Popular Post Treilio
B1 - That takes "forever" to beat - Lost Judgment I think my save file showed around 120 hours of playtime when including the DLC. Glad to be finally be done with it, it really felt like it was taking me forever to finish it. B2 - With player choices or multiple endings - The Walking Dead: Michonne I wasn't sure if I was gonna play this at first, because it doesn't follow the same story as the rest of Telltale's The Walking Dead games, but it was on sale for cheap so I finally bought it. I actually enjoyed it pretty well and would rank it higher than The Walking Dead: A New Frontier. N2 - Ultra rare platinum - Dreams Currently the platinum sits at 1.73%. Not really hard to get platinum, just time consuming really. Getting to level 30 can take a while and there are lots of trophies focused on create mode. The story mode is pretty short and can be finished in one sitting. Spoiler B1 - That takes "forever" to beat - Treilio's Lost Judgment Trophies B2 - With player choices or multiple endings - Treilio's The Walking Dead: Michonne Trophies B3 - Spawned an expanded universe - Treilio's Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 Trophies B4 - Play as an antihero or bad guy - Treilio's Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack Trophies B5 - Has no platinum trophy - Treilio's Blast Factor Trophies I2 - One word title - Treilio's Stacking Trophies I4 - Historical fiction or mythology - Treilio's Ghostwire: Tokyo Trophies I5 - By an independent developer - Treilio's Omno Trophies N2 - Ultra rare platinum - Treilio's Dreams Trophies N4 - Aliens or robots - Treilio's ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron Trophies G1 - Based on a non-gaming IP - Treilio's The Simpsons Arcade Game Trophies G2 - That you meant to play last year - Treilio's Guacamelee! Popular Post stuthesheep
0 A few more entries to update the card, including my first line. First off is O4 and Spawned an Expanded Universe, marked off with Mass Effect. I wasn't entirely sure what to do for this one, so looked at last year's thread for inspiration and Mass Effect was given as an example, so that was good enough for me. Probably well overdue playing it anyway I suppose! Anyway, the Mass Effect universe has its own Wikipedia page, suffice to say there's a lot of comics, novels and animated movies - even an amusement park ride apparently. Enjoyed the game (and I didn't even have to queue for it!) Next one follows on nicely from that, I3 and non-human sidekick is marked off with Mass Effect 2. Probably the only grumble I had about ME2 (apart from the Collector ship platform section on Insanity of course) was the excessively large number of squadmates you could pick from to go out on missions, among them several weird and wonderful aliens (and a robot) to choose from, all with varyingly interesting back stories. You probably don't need to be an asari matriarch to work out what the next game is, I'm using Mass Effect 3, to mark off I1, the Player Choice/Multiple Endings. For the record, I thought all the endings were fine and I don't really understand what all the fuss was about - I was actually quite disappointed about my lack of disappointment over the whole thing. although I seem to be in the minority there. I think people just complain for the sake of complaining sometimes and should really touch grass once in a while. Maybe I'm getting too old to be worked up about little unimportant things. Spoiler I1 (Choices/Endings) - Mass Effect 3 16/5 N1 (Retro) - Secret of Mana 8/2 G1 (Dislike) - Forspoken 16/4 O1 (Player Operated Vehicles) - FAR: Changing Tides 14/2 B2 (Anthropomorphised Animals) - Sonic Forces 28/2 I2 (Historical) - A Plague Tale: Requiem 23/1 I3 (Non-Human Sidekick) - Mass Effect 3 7/5 N2 (Same Letter) - South Park: The Stick of Truth 12/3 O2 (PSN Year) - South Park: The Fractured But Whole (2017) 19/3 B3 (One Sitting) - Lake 27/1 G3 (New Series) - A Plague Tale: Innocence 15/1 O3 (Sci-Fi) - Scars Above 5/3 B4 (Last Game) - Marvel's Spider-Man 2 1/4 I4 (Recommended) - Omno 4/1 O4 (Expanded Universe) - Mass Effect 25/4 I5 (No Humans) - Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion 25/1 G5 (Exclusive) - Concrete Genie 7/3

The fact you were disappointed that you weren't disappointed by the endings is a good thing. I know the majority of the community complained about the endings but whining isn't going to make the devs change the game when it's already released unless you are willing to watch for a patch. 😛

Popular Post GT__Jedi
Tunic (Metroidvania or Rogue-like) Oh, boy. Let's talk about this game. I was pretty excited when I saw it would be offered as part of the PS Plus Catalogue. Counted the hours until I could download it and immediately jumped into the fun. This game reminded me why I started my video game journey. Great levels, you can adjust the options to suit your playstyle, and the many secret areas kept you guessing what was around the next corner. I could not put this game down - found I would wake up in the middle of the night and sneak a bit of time roaming the levels trying to find another enemy, secret or new area. I did quit and restart the game as I couldn't figure out how to use the teleport and thought I had missed something, but that is another story... So, I got a Game Over, which surprised me, and when I checked my trophy list I saw I was missing quite a few trophies. Also, I was permanently in night-mode, and was unable to sleep in my house to change it to day-mode because I was missing one Hero Shrine to get my stats back. Because this game does not really show you where you are on a map, I was lost. I was frustrated. I was doomed. It is now time to use a guide. If I may give anyone playing this game a word of advice, save your progress to the cloud so you can reload if you lose all of your mana, coins or anything else. Two trophies that were a nightmare: Regal Weasel: Trying to freeze this sucker and then teleport up to the chest was one of the most frustrating trophies I've ever had the pain to earn. Your Body is Restored: Trying to figure out which Hero Shrine I was missing and then trying to randomly get to to each area with the corruption at the teleport hub was a pita. So, who saved me and my sanity? @Optinooby Thank you, thank you, thank you for a Guide that enabled me to finish this game and my dignity. 10 Stars for this one!

I love this game and this year was my second time getting the plat; - Martha is Dead for I-4 Developed in a Foreign Country: This game was developed by the amazing LKA, a studio based in Florence, Italy. I really enjoy the atmosphere of their games and how they're not afraid to push boundaries; - TOEM for N-1 With an Isometric View: I think this is the best cozy indie game I've played. A lot of charisma, simple graphic style that pleases the eyes, good jokes, cute characters and creative solutions. It's a complete package! The only bad thing about TOEM is that it ends; - The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes for G-3 Featuring a Romance or Romance options: Rachel can choose between giving her marriage a second chance, moving on with her lover, or neither. It's amazing how they managed to fit a romantic drama in the middle of so much carnage. Popular Post JayDeLosDioses
End of the month update and it’s a big one! Most importantly, I finished Red Dead Redemption 2, marking my Open World square on the bingo board, filling out my red color in the kaleidoscope challenge and checking off the month of may in the backlog challenge. And what a game it is! I first started playing RDR2 when it was released but got bored midway through chapter 3. The slower pace already had me on the edge and then the game send me fishing with Dutch and Micah… and that was too much for me. Coming back was a great experience, and I gotta admit, the game gets much more exciting during chapter 4 onward. Great story, great open world, not so memorable songs compared to RDR1 imo. Nothing beats Far Away when first riding into Mexico. The online was okay, there was a double exp event for the collector job items, so I bit the bullet and paid 10 bucks to buy gold bars and start collecting early. My biggest issues with the game are the cores and missing map markers. The cores are just too much management in my opinion, especially during online. You get used to it sure, but I still don’t like it. And for the hunting requests and exotic flower collections I would have liked some area markers on my map, it’s hard enough to get a perfect bird carcass, it just gets annoying by also having to find the spawn areas first. Same with the flowers, having never even seen some of the flowers needed you can’t even look that up in game, I’m really glad I used a map for it. Overall I would rate the game 8.5 / 10 - great for playing, a bit annoying for completing. I can also mark the bingo square Contains Holiday Theme by finishing Yuletide Legends: Who Framed Santa Claus? - it’s one of those adventure puzzle games published by Artifex Mundi / Big Fish Games. They’re fun and I enjoy them from time to time, but once you played one of them you kinda played them all. Yes, they have different themes and stories but they mostly use the same puzzles. Same with this one, at least the holiday theme allowed me to mark a square! Then I went ahead and finished a game with no humans in it, the second best souls-like game after Lies of P … I finished Another Crab’s Treasure! I had planned to kinda cheese the system a bit and just play a lego game for this one after failing to get it marked with Hotwheels 2, but then I stumbled upon this gem on twitch. It’s such a fun game and the bosses are really fun and rewarding to fight. And I gotta say, having a checkpoint right before each boss fight is amazing, that’s what I want! More fighting, less running back. And finding the path is also the biggest weakness of the game, it’s not always clear where the game wants you to go next and it doesn’t help that you can’t move the map at all. And all the ocean themed puns on top of that, I loved it.

Popular Post ProfSeajay7
Welp, finally got another BINGO as I found a thread on this site listing all of the available free-to-play games. B4: Free-to-Play => Puzzle Journey This was the only game with a platinum that wasn't multiplayer or have DLC or was not the season for it(aka Halloween Puzzle). I eventually figured out how to do the expert mode, realizing that pausing the game paused the timer, which was the only reason I was able to clear expert mode since it's 64 square with 32 pairs, and I'm not that great at memory games. Still not too bad. Popular Post zaxonzaxon
G4 Platform Exclusive: The Last Guardian I had this one pegged for a couple other boxes, but after looking through all the games I might play over the next year.... this was literally the only one that is a true platform exclusive. Practically everything these days is either multi-gen, cross-platform, or has a PC port. I4 You Think You Will Dislike -- Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Why: This is a spiritual successor to the old Suikoden games, which I was a big fan of back in the PS1/2 days. I was worried I'd dislike it because I've long since outgrown JRPGs, and the pre-release trailers and such showcased a lot of dated gameplay and dumb/annoying-looking characters. Verdict: I'm an idiot. The game was awesome and I loved it. It's been nearly 20 years since the last Suikoden and I guess I forgot just how much I adored those games, because this was a total blast. B4 Developed in a Foreign Country: PowerWash Simulator I'm in America, and the developer is a UK studio. Been meaning to play this for ages, and I can finally now say that it lives up to the hype. If you've ever been entranced by a power washing animated gif, this is like the crack cocaine video game version of that. Popular Post Beyondthegrave07
May Update: I'm just going to include the game I did today as well (June 1st). Seems silly to hold off adding it to the update. Especially since it's pretty fresh. Anyways, 3 new games to add since my last update. The Gardens Between is a great little puzzler game that can definitely be done in one sitting. I highly recommend trying this one if you have PS+ Extra. Yes, it is an easy platinum, but this is one of those examples of why you shouldn't skip out on a game just because it's easy. I had such a blast playing this casually on a Sunday afternoon/evening and thought it was really clever. Legend of Dragoon is my game that "everyone has played" except me. Especially as someone who grew up in the late 90s and early 00s, I feel like I'm the only millennial gamer who probably missed out on this in 2000 and avoid playing it when it came out to PS premium due to all the reported bugs. However, those bugs definitely got squished and this was an absolute joy to play... even for a game that is roughly 24 years old. The story for this was also wicked good. If you never played it, definitely give it a go. It has some stupid JRPG tropes in there, but what 20-year old game doesn't? XD Lastly, the game I finished early today. Atelier Ayesha. These games just keep growing and growing on me. I'm not a big fan of the fanservice-y stuff, but that's easily ignorable for a game that has a BOPPING soundtrack and a cool RPG system revolving around creating items and copying skills from one item to the next through alchemy. I did not consult a guide for this game and had to redo a few things at the end (adding an additional 10 hours of gameplay or so), but I wasn't even mad about it. This game was an absolute joy to play and definitely fits the B1 category of letting out my inner weeb... I mean, have you seen the name of the platinum for this game under my most recent platinum (全トロフィー取得)? If you are a little late... hint, hint. It's similar to my #150th plat and 175th platinum. What's next, I'm not sure.... I'm getting down to the oddly specific types of games... Guess I better start looking for games that start with a "B", lol. Popular Post Xhortastic
After a bit of a hiatus I'm back with another completion for my bingo board. G5: Jet Moto 2 (PS5) for 'Racing or Sports' I did the first Jet Moto in December when I had some time off, and yesterday was the last day of another two weeks off so it felt a bit like a trend. They're both pretty easy games, with the rewind features and the cheat codes. But they are a good bit of fun. I used to say that I didn't really like racing games, but then I checked and it turned out that I had finished or played quite a bit more than I thought. And though you still won't catch me saying that racing is my favourite genre, it is one I play whenever I want to game but also strongly need to watch or listen to something in the background. All in all, glad to be back on the board with this title and hopefully I've caught the bug again and manage to at least get a bingo line before the year is over. Should be doable right? Spoiler B1: God of War (PS4) for 'Award-Winning' B3: This Bed We Made (PS5) for 'Last Game You Acquired'
Popular Post Baker
Game 18: Contains Holiday Themes Dave The Diver You can decorate your sushi restaurant with some Christmas stuff. Fun game. There was much more to do than I expected. One thing that annoyed the hell out of me though: I played this game through Ps Plus Extra. I knew it expired today so I went on a marathon session yesterday to platinum this game as I don’t want to renew. There is a RNG trophy for finding and killing a fish with the Mjolnir. Yesterday I’ve spend 10 hours looking for this stupid thing. To no avail. At 4.30 am I had enough. But I still had some time today. I found it pretty fast. Time for some quick clean up. Just the tamagotchi minigame left. It goes pretty fast. 4/5 done. Almost got the 5th one and the platinum. Aaaannd… you guessed it… The game shut down. Ps Plus Extra is expired. I’m literally 5 minutes away from completing the game. Thank you RNG. As always. Ah well. Unto the next game. Edited June 3 by Baker
Popular Post DrBloodmoney
One more entry down! Box: "In a Series New to You" Game: "Punch Club" A Rocky-and-80s-movie-themed combination management sim, life sim and Lite adventure game, where the player controls a character fighting his way up the chain from lowly puncher in a dead-end job... to either champion of the world, or kingpin of the underworld. It's a resource and time management sim for the most part, where plate spinning between training, working, living, eating, sleeping, fighting has to be measured against a ticking clock, and where body-building is constantly fighting the decay of apathy and entropy, as you struggle to make enough time and money to keep on top of constantly draining measures of fitness, while unlocking different special skills and fighting techniques... ...but the game also throws in a lot of adventure-game style quest lines, mostly involving absurd parodies of movies and TV staples - from Rocky, to Robocop, to Terminator, to Streets of Fire... to even things like Shawshank Redemption, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter... and even Jay and Silent Bob. A simple enough idea, but it's done with a lot of humour and heart - it plays quite well, and has a surprising amount of depth in the quest lines - I was finding whole new story paths and new elements Weill into the 3rd and fourth playthroughs. It's shockingly difficult for me to find a new game I want to play that IS part of a series, but that I haven't played any of yet... ...so thank goodness this one was sitting in the backlog so long that there is already a sequel out there, making it fit this category!
