DI2 is the evolution of what I liked most about the first game (my plat #23): extreme carnage in the midst of a paradisiacal setting. That simple! The campaign is fast, the characters are fun, the combat is extremely satisfying and the graphics are spectacular. I was never bored and in fact I found myself purposely delaying completing missions because I didn't want it to end. I wanted to see more so much that I bought the Haus DLC, and again, it was gorgeous. It reminded me a lot of Stefano Valentini's parts in The Evil Within 2, especially The Deeper area. The last five will probably take a little longer. As always, the beginning is frantic but the conclusion not so much. Anyway, it's still April. I really wanted to include Silent Hill 2 as N-2 Platform Exclusive, but God knows when it will be released (if at all). Maybe Stellar Blade? We will see.
Popular Post gernboes
Ok, its high time for an update, so here it is! I have two new fields filled. First, DLC Pack or Standalone DLC - for this i did the 3 "The City Never Sleeps" DLC packs for Marvels Spiderman. I completed the main game including the Plat back on the PS4, and finally did the DLCs now on the remastered version on PS5. (No Plat trophy Pic, obviously, but here, have some Black Cat instead) Second, i got the Pla for Ghostwire Tokyo for the Open World Entry. I was actualy very excited when this got announced, but somehow it didnt really grab me when it was released, so i never bought it. However it ended up in the PS+ library, so i got to play it that way. Gameplay wise it wa sjust as i expected and i was glad i waited. However i loved the influences of japanese culture an mythology, so i dont regret playing it, im just glad i didnt buy it - especially full price. So here is my current Bingo Card:

Popular Post Venal
New entry: N4 - Contains Holiday Themes: Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. I had missed the swinging around, but I didn't find this one to be as good as the first game. I hate that if the characters stopped to talk and listen to one another, almost everything could have been avoided. Troy Baker did an incredible job as Simon Krieger, though. Popular Post ShinigamiSensei-
Update time! 2 more games added to my card and this is my first Bingo! finally... B4 - Has no Platinum Trophy - Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition ✅ I didn't like the game...in fact, i think i'm a little less fan of the saga after this game...geez, everything feels so slow and annoying in this title, the chalice mechanic is frustrating and Mog is slow and almost useless, combat is really basic, the story isn't great and the game wants you to play the same dungeon over and over and over with little reward based on RNG. That said, i played solo, and this is noticeably NOT the way it's "meant" to be played. Trophy wise...is even worse, just 9 trophies and no platinum for a +50 hours game. Well, albeit not the best one of the whole bunch, this is another FF marked on my list and one more spot filled on my Bingo...💁♂️ B5 - Non-Human Sidekick - The Wild At Heart Now this one is great! Truly nice and emotional game! In this game you have a lot of sidekicks in form of Spritelings, your herd of quirky and magical creatures that will help you out through an adventure that will keep you captivated from start to finish, Pikmin style! The Wild at Heart is a game I can recommend to just about anyone. B1 - Free To Play - Bleach: Brave Souls ✅ B2 - Release in your Birth Month (August) - Tinykin B3 - Starts With The First Letter of your PSNID - Siren ✅ B4 - Has no Platinum Trophy - Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition ✅ B5 - Non-Human Sidekick - The Wild At Heart I4 - Antihero or Bad Guy - Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin +💯 N5 - Oldest In Your Backlog - Bayonetta G1 - That You've Been Meaning to Get To - Cuphead +💯 G2 - Anthropomorphized Animals - Odin Sphere Leifthrasir G4 - With Online Features - Need For Speed Heat G5 - Metroidvania or Rogue-Like - Moonscars O3 - Retro Re-release (Originally w/o Trophies) - The Legend Of Dragoon O4 - That Takes "Forever" To Beat - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim +💯 O5 - Aliens or Robots - 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim

Popular Post ExHaseo
Another update. Getting closer and closer to blackout. I1 - Cooperative Game - Minecraft Dungeons - I originally wanted Diablo IV for this square, but it had some issues. First it just wouldn't install, but after trying a few more times it finally did for no apparent reason. I was able to play through the first act and was having a good time with it, but the next day when I went to play it, it just wouldn't boot for no apparent reason. I really miss playing on my PS5 lol. Anyway, I was going to try and mess with it to get it to work again, but then I noticed that it didn't have achievements because it was being played through Battle.net and wouldn't count anyway, so I just gave up. It really got me in the mood for an ARPG though, so I looked through game pass and saw Minecraft Dungeons. I remember wanting to try it when it was on PS+, but was on the fence about it enough that I didn't want to have yet another game dragging my completion down if I didn't like it. But since I don't have to worry about that on my Xbox profile, I tried it out. It was the most okay experience I think I've ever had with a game. Everything was very basic, from the level design to the attacks. Until the last level. Then there was an absolutely absurd difficulty spike. It took me about twice as long to get through the last level as it did for me to get through the rest of the game because I had to go back and grind for better equipment and levels. It was pretty frustrating honestly. But it did kill my desire to play an ARPG and counts for this square since it has coop, so that's nice at least. I2 - One Word Title - Battletoads - I really liked the original Battletoads on the Genesis, so I've wanted to try out this reboot for a while now. I think it did what it was trying to do very well, but I didn't really like most of it, and it definitely didn't feel like a Battletoads game. Only maybe half the game is a side scrolling beat-em-up, the rest is partially a normal side scrolling platformer, partially a shmup, and partially minigames. What's sad, is that it was at it's best when it wasn't a beat-em-up. And then the story was this weird meta joke on the Battletoads that felt a lot like a 90s cartoon. But specifically stuff like Ren and Stimpy. Which I've never been a big fan of. When I was a kid in the 90s, I was into stuff like Power Rangers, the Marvel cartoons, and anime stuff like Pokemon and Digimon. It just felt like they didn't know what to do, so they just kind of did whatever they wanted and made it 90s cartoon inspired. Which like I said, I think they did it well, but I didn't really like it. I wanted a modern Battletoads game, not 90s humor and meta jokes. Only 3 spaces left now. I'm getting closer to the end of Persona 3 Reload (I'm at the end of October), so that'll probably be my next square. I really wanted to put it in the Romance square, because last year I put Persona 3 Portable into that square and I thought that would be funny. But I'm too broke to buy another new game (or any games right now lol), so it'll probably end up in the released in 2024 square. Even though I'd really like to pick up the new Under Night In-Birth game, Tekken 8, and Ys X when it comes out, probably the only other game I'll be buying this year is the new FFXIV expansion, Dawntrail. Unless I happen to find a job by the time I beat Persona 3 Reload lol. But that's unlikely, so I'll probably end up playing Fable Anniversary for that square, since it's been sitting in my steam library for years now and I should probably play it. Or maybe Sonic Adventure 2, since it's also been sitting in my steam library for years and features the greatest love story ever told, the one between Sonic and Shadow lol.
Popular Post Venal
New entry: O5 - With Mystery or Detective Themes: L.A. Noire. The story took a turn that I wasn't expecting. It's a fine game, considering how original it is and what it tried to achieve when it came out. I'll have to play more detective games, I like them. And that's a bingo, baby.
Popular Post Venal
Sorry for the double, but I feel like this deserves its own post. New entry: I2 - One Word Title: Sifu. Popular Post stuthesheep
Couple more boxes ticked off. First is B4, the last game I acquired, and it's Spider-Man 2. I generally don't pay full price for games and am quite happy to wait for them to come down to a reasonable price and pick up a used copy, which is exactly what I did here. Enjoyed it well enough, but think I preferred the first one. Also marking off G1 with something I thought I'd dislike. Not generally a huge fan of fantasy games in general, so went with Forspoken, a game that my local used game shop seems to have a whole shelf with several unwanted copies devoted to (which is another red flag in itself!), not to mention all the negative reviews and whatnot it got at release time. So I went into it not expecting much beyond a successful bingo square mark-off. Turns out I actually quite enjoyed it - it was not without its issues granted, the story pacing was an absolute mess and the open world was maybe a bit too empty and slightly repetitive towards the end, but apart from that it was quite fun to play. Well worth giving it a chance - although maybe not at full price! Popular Post DrBloodmoney
One more entry down! Box: "Platform Exclusive" Game: "Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth" The second part of the remade FFVII does something I really didn't expect - it makes the already very long and lavish first part look tiny by comparison! It's an enormous, lavish, stuffed-to-the-brim game, with more fights and enemies and bosses and mini games and narrative and cut-scenes and - most importantly - fun, than anyone (myself most of all) expected, and it does the seemingly impossible feat, of being both a faithful, and yet somehow also new and interesting, take on the original material, in a way that shows a lot of love and care, and hits all the nostalgia, without feeling like a straight re-tread. Virtually every part of the game is polished to the Nth degree - it plays beautifully, looks great, and everything from the over-the-top fights and crazy, calamitous battles, to the smallest mini-game are genuinely fun and engaging. It's a game that makes 200-odd hours fly by in what feels like an instant - excellent! It's an exclusive - at least, right now - so that's the box it goes in!

Popular Post graphic_violins8
And another one with Interaction Isn't Explicit. So I was worried about the Free to Play spot because I wanted something that decent but I don't really like MMOs (generally an issue with the amount of crap on the screen like text boxes and stuff like that). Fortunately, this game, while very short, was actually kind of fun. The controls were sloppy, no doubt about that, but there was something charming in all the jank. I think I have ideas for everything at tis point with the exception of Spawned an Expanded Universe. I'm thinking Silent Hill 3, but it feels like a weak connection. Does anyone have any suggestions for this one (I'm not big on Star Wars but I do like Fallen Order and I own Jedi Academy so I'm not against it). Thats fair an thank you! @Squirlruler there are also a plethora of books based on the Silent Hill series as a whole, but I am curious if you think it counts since they don't spin off of SH3 specifically.
Popular Post Matttrent101
My first update for the challenge. https://bingobaker.com/#661163fa0d42acfc Completed N5 - Adventure - Toem: A backlog game I have wanted to play since it came to PS+ 10 thousand years ago. A really fun and cute game that was relaxing. Reminded me a lot of Bugsnax with its general gameplay. G2 - With Gorgeous Vistas - Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition: Also a long-time backlog contender, this has some beautiful landscapes and environments throughout the game. It absolutely did not overstay its welcome IMO. I did have some issues with the fox jumping in completely the other direction than what I wanted, some re-tracking was definitely needed in some places. I jumped unintentionally into tar So. Many. Times. Currently working towards I have 3 games that I am working towards next 1. N2 - Has No Platinum Trophy - Hitman 2: I recently completed Hitman 1 (only took me 7 years, 7 months, and 2 weeks) so I am currently replaying all of those levels in Hitman 2. Not trying to crunch all the levels to get this done as there is so much content here. 2. B5 - With Mystery or Detective Themes - Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter: This is going to be my 99th Platinum Trophy. This is also another game that has been in the backlog for years, I'm excited to get my hands dirty with this one. I have always enjoyed these types of games. 3. B1 - Play as an Antihero or Bad Guy - The Last of Us Part 2: This will be my 100th Plat. Super excited to finally play this game. I have been waiting for me to get to 99 plats so I can play this (as I really like the plat trophy name), plus I think the category is so fitting for it. Depending on your view, 1 of the main characters or both fall into this making it an extra awesome game for this challenge. I obviously started this challenge late and have no desire to rush this. but I love how interactive this group of people is. I think these 3 games will take me a bit as I am just about to go into crunch time at work for a bit so don't think I will get much gaming time. oh the joys of being an adult.
Popular Post Baker
Game #16: Racing or Sports Dirt Rally 2.0 A game I bought many years ago but for this event I decided to finally start it. I’m nowhere near done with the game, but I’ve put in around 50 hours now and have just a few trophies left so I would assume that’s enough. For the platinum I’m waiting for a daily delta event so I can finish in the top tier of a daily challenge for my final online trophy. I find normal daily events too hard to finish in the top 10%, although I got close a few times. It seems there are still a lot of pro’s who are playing and I can’t get close to their times. In a delta event you only need top 50%. Unfortunately they only come along once a month orso. I expect one next week, so I will have to make it count. Basically it’s time to start the hard part of the 100%: The infamous Flatout trophy. Now this is going to be very hard for me as I’m not really good at the game. Yet. Let’s start practicing! Popular Post Flitterbloom
Just slithering my UR in before it's not an Ultra Rare anymore 🤣 I checked two more boxes this time : The Messenger (Metroidvania) - Even though it quite didn't seem like one to me, consensus is the second half is a metroidvania. I... didn't really dislike this one but did not really enjoy it either. I did not feel really invested in the story (4th wall being breaked a lot, yeah it's comical but there's no "urge" anymore in saving the world this way imo ; and Quarble being obnoxious was not funny anymore after a few hours either.), I liked the DLC more, various gameplay may have helped. Skul: The Hero Slayer (UR Platinum) - Not platinumed yet, going whithout the devconsole it might take a little more time to get there (but seems clearly possible!). Before playing it I thought the game might get on my nerves before even finishing the story (being RNG based and all) but I have a LOT of fun playing it. It seems more difficult than Hades but still pretty doable with some time. I'm still enjoying it, I'm not frustrated when I die and that's all that matters I guess! So this is what my Bingo card looks like now (still no Bingo, yeah... 😅) Next one should be "Released in your Birth Month". Have fun everyone! Summary : Spoiler B1 - Tacoma (With Mystery) I1 - Hades (Romance Options) N1 - Cuphead (Anthropomorphised Animals) O1 - Disney Speedstorm (Racing) I2 - Cuphead The Delicious Last Course (DLC) N2 - Skul: The Hero Slayer (UR Platinum) I3 - The Messenger (Metroidvania) O3 - Hundred Days (Non-Violent) B5 - Tinykin (Aliens) G5 - ReadySet Heroes (Minigames) Edited April 27 by Flitterbloom
Popular Post ExHaseo
Just one more to go. B4 - Originally Released in 2024 - BlazBlue Entropy Effect - I was browsing the Wikipedia page for games released this year before putting Reload into this spot, and noticed this game. I was really surprised to see "BlazBlue" on there, and since I am a massive fan of the series (it's easily my favorite 2D fighting game series), I had to check it out. It turned out to be a side-scrolling roguelite action game that wasn't made by Arc Sys. I like roguelites though and haven't really played once since Hades, so I checked out some gameplay and it looked pretty fun. Then I found out it was only $20 on Steam, so I picked it up. And I am so glad I did. For one, it has subtle and gradual storytelling. You have to slowly piece things together yourself by finding fragments of different past events/"phenomena". Which is just such a refreshing change of pace. It seems like every form of media these days is completely lacking any subtlety and just constantly beats you over the head with it's messaging. It's gotten really grating. So it was really nice to have story like this. Anyway, I haven't unlocked the true ending yet, but based on my first playthrough, the game isn't really a "BlazBlue" game, but more like it takes place in the same multiverse. The basis for the game is that you're in some kind of futuristic city undergoing "Mind Training." Which involves going into a virtual space and using an "avatar" to fight through different areas. These avatars are all BlazBlue characters. But that seems to be the extent of any direct connection between this game and the rest of the series. But there's other references to things that make it pretty obviously in the same multiverse, like the "phenomena", which was something that was present in the main series games. In addition to the story, the gameplay is super fluid and fun. I like how it incentivizes you to play as other characters by letting you use a character from a past run to power up for a new run. But you can't be the same character. My only real beef with it is that it's a bit easy after you've done a few runs, and it feels a bit repetitive. You go through 5 areas, with each area being a handful of one-screen stages that consist of things like surviving until time runs out, defeating a certain number of enemies, or just making it through the area. Once you get through a handful of these, you fight one of two bosses. It's random which of the two appear, but I seem to almost always get the same ones. Then there's one area after this that's much bigger and has some Metroidvania exploration elements with random optional bosses and buffs. The problem is that the areas are always in the same order, and each of the individual stages all look the same. So once you've done a dozen or so runs, it all starts to kind of bleed together. And the only way to unlock different endings, is to get random phenomena fragments from bosses. Once you get every fragment for a phenomena, you get a cutscene. With most phenomena needing 2 or 3 for a single cutscene. Usually I get ~2 for each successful run. And while I don't know exactly how many there are total, I saw more than a dozen and unlocked 10 before I beat the game, just because I wanted to see what happened. The real bummer, is that when you beat the game, you can't go back and collect mroe fragments to get a new ending. You have to start over on a new save. You can carry over your stats from a previous save, but your phenomena fragments get reset and you have to do the whole basic story quest again. They do warn you that you can't collect fragments once you start the final story quest, but I thought that meant that you couldn't collect anymore until you finish the quest and beat the game. Not that the entire save would be locked out of other endings. So that was on me, but it's still a real bummer having to start completely over to get a new ending. It's a fun game overall though. I hope it makes it to PS one day. I'd definitely put in the work to get all the trophies if it did. Oh, and I played this on Steam, so if it needs to be verified my profile on Steam is also named ExHaseo G4 - Featuring A Romance or Romance Options - Persona 3 Reload - I'm a little scared to talk about this one, because I'd rather not get death threats today. I'll just say to watch the opening cutscene of the original Persona 3, then watch the opening cutscene of Persona 3 Reload. There's a huge difference between the two and it carried over throughout the entire game. Oh, and for the square, you can date people in the game lol. Just one more to go until blackout. I have no idea what it'll be though lol. I only have one more week of school until I finally graduate and get my degree, so I'll be mostly focusing on finishing up final projects and final exams. Then after that, I was planning on resubbing to FFXIV to finish up some stuff before Dawntrail comes out. We'll see though. Still plenty of time before the event ends, so I'm sure I'll find something other than FFXIV to play before the end of the year lol. Popular Post Sylvanticore
Greetings all, another game completed for the board, hardly played anything this month due to mental health playing a factor but I got Warhhamer 40k Boltgun completed and since it only has around 300+ owners at this time I've used it for the Underplayed square. No idea what square I'll do next.
