LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (15% - 37%)

 

The story is done and I have slowly but surely been going though all of the planets and 100% them. Kamino was first as it strangely had a sector (Rishi Maze) all to itself for some reason and have spent the rest of the 2 weeks doing the Unknown Regions, the only sector with 4 planets, the rest have 2 or 3. Of those, Exegol, Endor and Kef Bir are done and just have to finish off Ahch-To and then that sector is done. After that i'm not sure yet, possibly the Greater Javin sector (Hoth, Bespin and Crait) but not 100% decided yet.

Nice, I have to do Death of the Outsider myself still too.

 

Trials are horrible. The require a lot of RNG luck and a good amount of skill too IMO. I got maybe half of the trophies without too much difficulty but the rest would take hours upon hours of attempts.

Last Week

Forspoken 56%  -> 100%

Mass Effect 0% -> 46%

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition 0% -> 4%

 

 

Clean-up of Forspoken was relatively stress-free, mostly helped by popping the difficulty down to Easy for most of it - it began to get a bit repetitive towards the end. Still enjoyed it, but it was just beginning to overstay its welcome slightly. After the plat went ping all that was left was the DLC to tick off, which rather fortunately is in the ongoing sale and was nice and short. Again, enjoyed the DLC, some cool new spells and combat stuff and the pacing was significantly better than the main game - which I suppose in a three hour DLC isn't the hardest thing to pull off. It did set up a possible sequel nicely, it's just a shame that it's unlikely to happen, I definitely wouldn't mind playing it.

 

Moving on then, and onto something the rest of the world seems to have played years ago, with the Mass Effect collection. Currently working through the first one, about halfway through the story and got most of the grindy combat trophies out of the way as well, so it shouldn't be too much trouble to finish off ME1 next week and plough into ME2.

 

Didn't realise before starting that not only have the three games got their own lists but the compilation has its own set of trophies, which has bumped the percentage down a bit over the last couple of days. Was kinda hoping that I wouldn't pop anything in the compilation list last week so the weekly percentage wouldn't be too badly affected, unfortunately I seem to be a killing machine. Still, I suppose it means I'm not going to have the collection trophies impacting the percentage next week, so swings and roundabouts.

 

Planning to finish all three games on Normal first before having a bash at Insanity on the three of them, not had too many troubles so far so hopefully it won't be too bad (famous last words etc). Only need the Insanity trophies for the collection set and not the plats so it's not a must-do, but it would be a decent thing to have on the record.

FYI, back when the Legendary Edition released, there was a save exploit you could use to "beat" all 3 games on Insanity. There was a thread on it that is probably still around that tells you what to do. Insanity isn't too bad but it can be challenging at times. I did the PS3 stacks and ME1&2 Legendary legit but Grissom Academy was pissing me off in 3 and I ended up doing the exploit.

 

It's a great series and I hope you enjoy your time through it.

Weekly Updae Time

Slight drop in completion this week, courtesy of FF16 gaining trophies for its 2nd DLC (will likely do these once I'm done with Rebirth).

Done all but 1 sidequest on hard mode now (which I don't technically need for the platinum, but going to do it anyway), so started the AP grind for mastering materies, ready for the hard mode playthrough.

ME1 now in the books, fairly straightforward platinum. Glad I eventually got around to playing it, enjoyed it enough to go tick off all the side activites above and beyond what was needed for trophies, which is a sign that I was having a good time. Story seemed slightly on the short side, but there was more than enough to keep me busy. The whole thing definitely holds up pretty well.

 

Started on ME2 now (pushing myself back to the wrong side of the 91% mark in the process), not too far into it so far but it seems slightly trickier than the first one so far - although that could just be a result of having a character back to scratch rather than the cool guns and skills I had accumulated by the end of the first one. Haven't had the chance to get too much ticked off yet, mainly because my Shepherd seems to have spent a large amount of the early game getting drunk. A nice mysterious story developing early on and hopefully some of the many questions I have about developments will be answered along the way!

 

Looked into the Insanity glitch, still planning to at least have a bash at it - considering how much I complained about no NG+ difficulties on Spidey 2 a couple of weeks ago, it'd be slightly hypocritical if I wimped out of getting the ME difficulty trophies legit! I did set up a savepoint before the ME1 final boss so it's still an option if the whole thing ends up being a bit too much, but plenty of people have done it before me in the last 15 years and I don't really want to lose any cool points!!

Loving the progress in ME! ME2 was actually my first one since ME didn't release on PS3 until I think ME3 did and they came out with the ME Trilogy on PS3. When you unlock planet probes for resource extraction, make sure you head to our galaxy for the planet Uranus. EDI has some great dialog. 😁

Happy Monday everybody!

 

This will be my last update for the next 3 weeks, will be on a holiday in May. However, I will certainly read all your posts!

 

Distraint - PSVita - 0% => 100%

A nice 2d side scroller horror game, a bit like Claire. Think these kind of games work really well on the PSVita. I was a bit lost mid-way as there were some timed events but you didn't know it if you made it or not.....lot of backtracking here. And the story could have been a bit longer but it was a nice experience.

 

Dishonored + DLC (1/3) - PS3 - 55% => 85%

Finished my low chaos run on the base game. Really good game, in fact really good franchise as DH2 is kind of sequal to this one.  In low chaos, and hidden like a ghost is when the game really shines. Love the way you can listen in to conversations of NPC's that reveal a different way of fulfilling the mission or reveal a stack with goodies. I finished the 2nd DLC (I keep the trials of the first DLC for last). Cool to play as Daud! I had some trouble getting through unseen in the last mission but with a lot of trial and error I made it. Jumped this weekend straight into the 3rd DLC (which is an expansion of the 2nd one). Turned it around now by doing a low chaos run first which took me a bit longer as I didn't know the maps but it was oh so satisfactory to do it from scratch! Super how this DLC leads into the storyline of the 2nd game! Wow, good job by Bethesada! I can only advise you playing both games!

 

I got the high chaos run left and the full 1st DLC, yet I feel a bit tired playing the game so long (Despite that it is really good), so probably going to play a different game in-between. Wish me luck on the Trails DLC (9/10 difficulty rate 😁)

It's been a while since my last update in March. Life was busy outside of PSNP. I didn't even touch any of my consoles until I finished my last assignments for my study.

 

Completed 2 real life Platinum Trophies:

- Finished a marathon (yes, 42.195 meters).

- Finished my study and on my way to the exam.

 

And than when I got back, I saw that The Artful Escape was leaving PS+ Extra, so I played that. Very nice game which I definitely can recommend.

 

After that I had a few hours left and I played Where the Bees Make Honey. That's totally the opposite of The Artful Escape. It felt unfinished and buggy. Also unavailable in Europe for some reason.

Spent most of my week completing the 5 Dondonko Island trophies. It got to be a bit monotonous by the end but is by far not the worst thing I had to do for trophies. After that I trudged through the final ten levels of Hiwaiian Haunt dungeon for that trophy and beat Kasuga's portion of the story. Now I am trying to do Kiryu's dungeon's last 10 levels before wrapping up the story at long last and diving into NG+. I probably would have finished this weekend but I bought the LEGO Himeji Castle and built it, that took a good chunk of time. Might manage to beat the game for the monthly wrap up.

Week 17 Update (4/22-4/28)

 

Fast & Furious: Spy Racers Rise of SH1FT3R (0% --> 100%)

This game honestly wasn't all that bad. I needed something to play one night last week, and I knew this one was a quick platinum. The gameplay is honestly better than I expected it to be for a licensed kid's game, and the tracks were relatively engaging. I didn't pay any attention to the story though. The only annoying part was that one of the AI racers had an ability that essentially acted the same as a blue shell in Mario Kart, except they could activate it much more frequently. Besides that though, this game was a decently entertaining 3-4 hours.

 

Wheel of Fortune (PS4) (0% --> 100%)

For some reason I've been wanting to play more games without platinums to get more non-platinum 100%s on my profile. I grabbed this one off PS Plus and spent one morning during work from home working on all the trophies. Most of them are fine, but there are a few that essentially boil down to RNG that got annoying toward the end.

 

初音ミク Project DIVA Future Tone DX (0% --> 100%)

I subbed this one in for my Spring Backlog Challenge. This is by far the quickest and easiest Hatsune Miku platinum/100% I've ever attempted. It's basically the same as Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Future Tone gameplay wise, but this one has a platinum and all the music tracks already included. Unfortunately, it's JP region only, so I had to grab this one on my JP region account and play it on this account. I could've imported a copy but I wanted to get this one on my list sooner rather than later.

 

Interaction Isn't Explicit (0% --> 100%)

Another non-platinum 100% for this week. I know this was designed to be more of a "study" than a game, whatever that means, but I didn't particularly care for the way the game played. The controls felt clunky and a couple progression related parts felt buggy. I also feel like this was a very roundabout way for someone to say that gaming peaked with Shadow of the Colossus instead of just going online and saying that somewhere. But hey, I guess making your opinion into a video game gets more eyes on your point.

 

Corpse Party (8% --> 21%)

This is another one I've picked back up for the Spring Backlog Challenge. I managed to finish chapters one and two this week, so now I only have three chapters left, not counting the extra chapters. I've been having fun with this one, but story progression can be a little tricky considering it doesn't really hold your hand at all. The trophy guide has really been handy for some of the trickier sections of this one so far. I'm hoping to get this game finished at some point this week.

Ahch-To and by extension the Unknown regions are done, and I have started on the western regions (Dagobah, Mustafar and Utapau). Dagobah is done, and Mustafafar is mostly done just have 1 mission left in space but it requires lot's of Gonk side quests done on other planets first so it will take a while to do it, finally I haven't srated Utapau but do plan to at some point.

 

The Lego Star Wars grind will be broken up now until mid June due to THL being back on Wednesday for another season so check in weekly to see how good (or poorly) I will do in this season's sliver division (hopefully I will be at 30 plats by the end of it).

Fell asleep before updating yesterday. Whoops!

 

Started up Fallout 76 again after 2 years because of the TV show and managed to boost the 20 kills and revives trophies. So now I just need to find 20 magazines and beat the Scorch Queen for the plat. After finding like 5 magazines on my first day, I've found exactly one since then. So that may take another week or two. I also don't remember any of my loadouts or anything and I had to move my base because a new NPC was in my spot so I haven't tried to launch another nuke yet either. I also forgot to look up what my previous pcg was before getting those trophies. Whoops again!

 

Saw BadDriver's video about Road Bustle Online in the PS store and couldn't resist. What a weird little thing, but hey, it really was only a penny. And I already the plats for Road Bustle 1 and 2 so it's not like I'm above getting cheap plats or anything.

 

And lastly, I played through Tales of Kenzera. I liked it, but didn't love it. It's a fine metvania but nothing amazing. I really liked the art style and the boss fights, but everything else was just okay. It also has a couple of annoying chase sequences that it took me a while to figure out. I'd be harsher on it if I had actually paid for it, but for "free" it's not bad. Took about 8 hours to beat and then another 2 or so for trophy cleanup. Needed more fast travel points, too.

 

This week it's more FO76, and lord help me, I'm back on FFXIV. Trying to grind out those PS4 trophies while also catching up on the MSQ to be ready for Dawntrail. I just started Heavensward so this is going to take awhile. If you see me running back and forth, giving that one NPC potions over and over in Horizon, say hello! Only 800 more Levequests to go...

No platinums but still had a pretty good month. Cleaned up a couple of old sports games that have unobtainable plats, FF2 and GT5 are finished I've just left an easy trophy for when I want to pop the plat on them, I made GT5 unnecessarily hard for myself by not using exploits for the Vettel challenges but it will now be my proudest platinum when I do get it.

 

I'd heard a lot about how big of a grind Yakuza 5 is before starting it but I still wasn't ready for how much of a grind it has been 😅, hoping I can get it finished over the next week.

 

Expecting May to be a slow month for progress, just bought WWE 2K24 so I'm expecting most of my time to go into that and finishing new games doesn't seem to give me more than a 0.04% increase now.

 

If I have time I also want to finally get around to playing Lollipop Chainsaw, I bought it a couple of years ago for half the price it's worth now and with the remaster coming I'm kind of paranoid about what it will do to the price of the PS3 version so I think I want to complete it and sell it before that comes out.

my stats are good  i'm stil playing hero coliseum in dragonball  xenoverse2 i do the last trophie and that is a real pain.

 

doing all the story and free battles and while i am playing it i have improved i am collecting figures super rare and ultra rare figures  is the important thing now and lvling them up collecting items and xp it is a grind but i enjoy it tough once it is finished then i do the other games i have improved quite alot fighting games are fun...!

April Summary

 

Castlevania Lords of Shadow 100% - 11 years in the making for this one. Pretty solid OG God of War clone. I really enjoyed the magic system. My only gripe is they force you to beat the game once before unlocking the hardest difficulty and level trials. 

 

Little Nightmares 100% - I was one trophy away (the deathless speedrun) for a couple years now. Finally found the motivation to come back and knock it out.  Turns out it wasn't too bad, as you can save you're progress between chapters. There are also a lot of great speedrun resources for this game too, so that always helps.

 

Stranger of Paradise 100% - Finished up the last 2 DLC's for this one. I tried doing them last year but got burnt out from how much additional content and mechanics the 2nd DLC threw at me. Overall, I'm happy to have played this game because it's Final Fantasy, but I don't think I'll play another Team Ninja game. Just not a fan of their item / loot system.

 

FF7 Rebirth 85% - Only 1 more VR challenge to go! I plan on saving my hard mode run for next year. I really enjoyed this game, and I'd like to replay it after I forget some of the story.

 

Darkest Dungeon 23% - Been wanting to play this one for a while, and finally decided it was time. I'm on week 13 of my campaign and really enjoying it so far. There's definitely a lot to learn, but I'm slowly getting the hang of it.

Summary:

- Overall this month felt a little less eventful but at the same time, it was one of my most unique and career-defining months in trophy hunting. I became the first user on PSNProfiles to 100% complete Toto Temple Deluxe, which released in 2015 and has a little over 400 owners on the site. I began it in 2016 and over the years I invested 50 hours into it trying to figure out how to make every type of multiplayer medal/achievement pop up at the end of a round.

 

- In other news, I am 3 trophies away from the 100% completion of PS3 Minecraft. I need to respawn the Ender Dragon (called The End...Again), capture the Ender Dragon's breath in a bottle (called You Need a Mint, and is trivial to earn after I respawn that slender tyrant) and then explore The End afterward to find Shulker enemies for the trophy Great View From Up Here!, which is, imo, the hardest trophy in the game. Earned it on PS4.

 

- Teslagrad was a great metroidvania! I had a lot of fun finding the collectible scrolls. I used a guide for the final 3, out of 36 total. While not required for the Platinum, as I had already unlocked it by this point, I also beat the final boss again after obtaining all scrolls for the secret ending. Worth it

 

- Completed 40 or so of the 324 total word search puzzles in the POWGI game with my Mom as Player2! She had a blast and is also another reason why this was a seminal month. She has never played a video game before.

 

Goals for May:

- 100% The Lego Movie 2 Video Game because it was loaned to me by a friend 6 months ago and I feel I should return it. Started it today and earned 2 trophies so far! It should be done within the week.

- Finish boosting the 100 multiplayer race wins with my patiently-waiting booting partner in Asphalt: Injection on the Vita. We boosted 5 wins each end of March and I've been a little unresponsive getting back to doing more with him. I started boosting so many backlogged online trophies in March and April I got seriously overwhelmed. Never missed a session for any game but that's because some of them never happened 🙃

- Contact previous boosters to help me earn the 88 kill streak trophy in Fat Princess. That's the final one I feel I actually need to boost. The rest of the online trophies can be done with bots and are just grindy.

- Make a guide on here for Toto Temple Deluxe now that it's done and I know how to earn all multiplayer medals! I'd love to contribute in that way

- Also get back to my long-overdue step-by-step walkthrough on how to efficiently beat Subnautica on Free Swim difficulty without the developer console cheats. I started this guide back in 2020.

- Start and at least beat the stories/main content of Ultros and Pacific Drive. They are the latest additions to my physical collection and I've been hotly anticipating playing both of them!

- Beat Fallout 4 for the first time. 125 hours in and I'm only just now recruiting Piper as a companion. Again, started this long ago, probably a few days after launch in November 2015.

- The 'etc.' only grows stronger.
