Popular Post Squirlruler
Update #9: Mirror's Edge (60% -> 62%): Finished the speedrun for chapters 1 and 2. Was looking to see what people thought of the second one, and a lot of people say this is the hardest one. Which is nice. It was pretty difficult and long, 11 minutes for the speed run. Which is the longest of all the chapters. Took about 3 days for Ch 2, hopefully the rest of the chapters don't take so long. Mirror's Edge Catalyst (47% -> 100%): Finished up this game. The collectibles weren't too bad. The waypoints worked *really* well. The only thing that was really annoying is how the game saves. There is no way to manually save and it seems to only truly save when the application closes. Well, my PS5 crashed and I lost like 2 hours of work, annoying. Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God (45% -> 54%): On about floor 170ish. Making my way through this. I have probably over half the weapons/shields fully upgraded. Good thing I love the dungeon crawling aspect of this game or it would be rough lol. Started playing a little Minecraft Dungeons to take a break from ME. Need to figure out my 199 game so I can finish Iceborne for 200. Might do a quick game for a TT target to get me over the edge.

Popular Post stuthesheep
Last Week South Park: The Stick of Truth 50% -> 100% South Park: The Fractured But Whole 0% -> 85% Almost finished with South Park now, been a really fun couple of games. Fart jokes never seem to get old. Not too many problems finishing off the Stick of Truth, the collectible hunt took a little while, but following a walkthrough meant it wasn't as painful an experience as it could have been. with just a ten minute second playthrough to get a trophy I missed early on. Fractured but Whole (it took me a lot longer than it should have to get that) was a slightly more tricky task - not nearly as much collectibles to contend with, but there is a difficulty related trophy, which meant I couldn't coast through on Normal like I did SoT. Some of the bosses were really tough, so there was a bit of thinking over strategy and tactics needed after I had my butt handed to me a few times. How it was ranked a 3/10 difficulty here over SoT's (with no difficulty requirements) 4 is a mystery to me, but that's not an argument for here. Still, managed to finish the story this afternoon - thankfully without falling foul of any of the buggy trophies - so it's just a clean-up job for the remaining trophies there, all I need to do is pick up a few collectibles, beat up Morgan Freeman and have a poop in a few toilets. Just a normal Monday night really. Once that's in the books (barring any fatal heart attacks in the next couple of hours) I'll be sitting at 99 platinums, so for #100 I've decided to try and finally get Resident Evil finished. Well overdue a cleanup run, currently sitting at 81%, so a decent chunk of it is marked off. However to get there I need to do a Real Survival run, an Invisible Enemy run and a Knife Only run. Of course, if I was a masochist I could try and get them all in one go....Might need a playthrough or two just to remember what to do, but hopefully it won't be too bad. Famous last words etc! 9

Been a while since I did the stoy speed runs, but as I recall, either the last mission, or the 2nd to last mission was quite annoying (its the one with a sort of "Boss Fight"), speedrun wise. There was a way to slightly cheese it, where you died in a specific place, and it would skip you ahead to the next checkpoint, saving you a little time, which could potentially be needed, with how awkward the boss encounter could be. Tried the PS5 version of Dauntless but didn't feel like getting back into it just yet. The autopop trophies were nice, but I don't think they affected my % much. Made a little more progress in Relink, but again, didn't feel like putting a bunch of time into it again. And finally, I started Path of Exile for like the tenth time, but this time it did grab me. So, I'll be adding that into my already overloaded game rotation. I made up for the hit to my completion pcg with a few PS5 versions of Ratalaika games I already owned. Hey, I paid for the PS4 versions, might as well get that extra free plat now that I can! This week I'll be playing more Path of Exile, keep plugging away at FF7 Remake, and probably try one or two other games even though I already have too much to play. Have not had a lot of time recently to play with work and life, but still try and squeeze in an hour here and there, and a solid-ish session on the weekend. Games this month. Dredge (60 -> 84%). Main game finished and platinumed. Not planning on doing the DLC. Enjoyed the game, but clean up with the fishing all species, and especially the aberrations, was a bit of a drag. BG3 (16 -> 38%). Thoroughly enjoying it, but a hard game to play in short stints. Currently deep in Act 2. Getting pretty much all the trophies along the way. Already looking forward to a second playthrough. God of War (2018) (57 -> 75%). Left this alone for a while, but back now doing clean up. Enjoying the clean up, except for the mists of niflheim section. I found that an incredibly tedious drag, and the reason i put the game down for a while. That section finally done, and back to enjoying the game. Nothing new started. Very hard to not scratch that itch. Have GTA3 definitive edition that i want to work through next. Edited March 23 by nikalto86
Popular Post InfinateEternity
Update for Weeks 10-12 : March 3 - March 23, 2024 Stats: Overall Completion Percentage: 55.63% -> 55.88% (+0.25) | Goal: 70% Total Trophies: 8,348-> 8,383 (+35) Total Points: 258,375 -> 260,235 (+1,860) Total Started Games: 434 -> 435 (+1) Total Completed Games: 199 -> 201 (+2) Total Platinums: 135 -> 136 (+1) Games Played: Hi, all! Congrats on all of the successes the past few weeks! My life has been far busier than I expected, and, as a result, I haven't really had a ton of time to game the past 3 weeks. But, things are calming down a bit. So, I figured it'd be a good time to get back on track with this event, and give an update. Overall, the theme of the past few weeks has been relaxing games (in my opinion), that don't really have stories. So, this section will be brief. I finally got far enough in Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight (Winter level 175) to unlock the characters needed to get one of the local multiplayer trophies, completed Cat Slide Tiles (a cat-themed sliding tiles puzzle game), and finished off Wake-Up Club (an alarm clock simulator with multiplayer elements). Additionally, I regained my 100% in the additional DLC expansions of Gems of War, after 2 trophies were added to the Battlegrounds Update DLC. For those not aware, Gems of War is a free-to-play, live-service, match-3 puzzle RPG game. As a game, it's had highs and lows in its development, and can be enjoyable if you enjoy match-3 puzzle games. But, the trophy lists are an extreme grind, with lots of RNG elements involved. If you decide to try this, be aware that you're making a months - if not - years-long commitment. I've played it almost daily for the past 2.5 years, with it taking over 1.5 years for me to finish the first list alone. Finally, I was in the mood to return to Knack after a decade, and did an easy playthrough that focused on collectibles and chapter-specific trophies, since I apparently deleted my original game file at some point. The plat will still require 3+ more playthroughs to finish thanks to the RNG baked into the collectibles experience. But, as a platformer, the game is better than I remember, even if the story is full of plot holes and leaves you with more questions than answers. The sequel might make my thoughts on the story different, who knows. But, on its own, Knack's narrative feels a bit incomplete. For the sake of time, I'll save my full comments on the plat journey and the gameplay for when I've got the plat done. But, for now, I'll keep plugging along and see where my gaming mood takes me.

The story could definitely use some more fleshing out. I read a synopsis of the sequel and IIRC, they don't answer any questions about like where Knack came from or who made him and why. If you weren't aware, nothing carries over between difficulties. I.e. none of your gems or tools will carry over from your Easy run to your Hard run so it's best to just keep doing runs on Hard. I made that mistake myself last year.
Popular Post gladiatorrrrrrr
Happy Monday everybody! Really back on track with weekly updates ☺️. Made some decent progress this week: Red Dead Redemption 2 - PS5 - 22% => 42% I did finish the story. Must say the last chapter was epic and really put the icing on the cake! The game did wear me out a bit and before I start completing the remaining SP trophies I need to play something else. But I can easily see why this is seen as one of the best game ever made for the PS4 generation. The story is amazing and it has some really good twists in it. Next up is getting all the Gold medals.... Devious Dungeon 2 - PSVita -82% => 100% I made a rookie mistake by not scrolling down in the menu. While I was gathering Gold I didn't had any option to spend it on improved weapons or armory. At least that is what I thought. I made it till the end boss and had a hard time defeating him/her. So I checked youtube for some guidance only to find out that this person had completly different weapons/gear. So I double checked the menu again and found out that I worked my way thorugh the game with a much lower level gear/weapon 😅. Bought new weapons and defeated the end boss in one go. It Takes Two - PS5 - 90% => 100% We finally had time to get the last remaining trophies. We missed some mini games and one misc trophy. Simple tasks but you have to find the time for it. Great game and a fun platinum! No Progress Rocket League + DLC (8/9) - PS4 - 92% => 92% Status Next week: - re-start Dishonored 2 - PS4 - mopping up SP trophies in RDR2 Happy trophy hunting all! And, thanks for the heads-up about the sequel and story. That sucks, ngl. I'll still do the sequel at some point for completion's sake. But, yeah...they really had some issues with world-building. Ah, well, it is what it is at this point. *shrugs* 9 hours ago, da-Noob123 said: If you weren't aware, nothing carries over between difficulties. And you're right - doing playthroughs on hard until you unlock all tools and gem Knacks is more efficient. And, hard mode, AFAIK, shouldn't be that bad. But, I chose to do the tool and gem runs on easy to give myself the most stress-free experience possible when doing diamond farming, given the RNG involved in the process.
Popular Post Squirlruler
Update #10: Mirror's Edge (62% -> 65%): Finished the speedrun for chapters 3 and 4. 3 ended up being pretty difficult but I knocked 4 out on my first real attempt which was nice. Slowly but surely getting through this. Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God (54% -> 57%): On about floor 225ish. Very close to the end of this run. Had the game crash and lost a bunch of progress (like 5 floors and a shield I needed) which sucked. But at least I make regular cloud saves so I didn't lose the entire 225 floor run. Yea. That would have sucked lol. So I got above 93% completion, and under 800 unearned trophies. Pretty happy with that. Been playing a bit of Minecraft Dungeons just doing random trophies in the DLC to get that completion higher. I don't know if I will ever get that to 100%, but we can see how close I can get. At least there will be no more updates. Might start a new game as I get closer to completing ME, and still need to finish a couple targets for TT. Will probably have my 200th milestone next update as well.

Popular Post PressContinue
Week 12 Update (3/18-3/24) Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd (78% --> 100%) I managed to get the rest of the collectibles I needed to clean this one up. Honestly the worst part was getting every character to 50 song clears for the Get The Skinny trophy, but luckily there was one song that counted for three different Vocaloids. I played Knife probably 20 times more than I really cared to, but it got me to the platinum and that's what matters. Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation (19% --> 100%) Honestly, this was okay at best. About a third of the way through Arusu Install I just got tired of reading the same stuff over and over and started skipping text so I could get endings I hadn't already gotten. I didn't really feel any attachment to the stories in this game and just wanted to get it done. I like Date A Live, but I can see why this visual novel isn't really popular. Stat Updates Total Completion Percentage: 55.71% --> 56.09% (+0.38%) Total Trophies: 5940 --> 5972 (+32) Platinum Trophies: 105 --> 107 (+2) Unearned Trophies: 4754 --> 4722 (-32) This week I'm going to try to knock out another game or two for the Spring Backlog Challenge. I still have eight games to go there, three of which have no progress at all. Since I haven't started anything up between finishing Rio Reincarnation and this update I kind of have a clean slate to pick from, so we'll see where this week leads me.
Popular Post da-Noob123
Helldivers 2 0 > 6 > 20 > 26% Nabbed a few more trophies but barely played this really. I'd probably sound horrible over a mic right now as I am currently sick so will probably get back to it when I am feeling better. Final Fantasy 7 Remake 0 > 86 > 100% Finally got around to doing the Intermission DLC. Once I finally shook off the rust it wasn't too bad. Found some guides for my Hard mode run and managed to beat Weiss and Nero both in one try. Pride and Joy gave me some trouble but I persevered and claimed my 100%! Besides my continuing work in The Elder Scrolls Online, this is my first backlog game to be completed this year. 😄 (I don't count BioShock Remastered or Medieval Dynasty since I only started them in December and finished them in January.) As mentioned previously, I am a bit under the weather so I am not sure how much gaming I will get in this week. Currently sitting pretty at 94.03% for Overall Completion and am down to 585 unearned trophies. Hope everyone has a great week! Popular Post stuthesheep
Last Week South Park: The Fractured But Whole 85% -> 100% Resident Evil 81% -> 100% Marvel's Spider-Man 2 0% -> 7% Finished off South Park with not too many issues, just had a small collectible hunt and winning a fight with Morgan Freeman left to mark off. The fight is apparently quite tough, however I rather cowardly turned the difficulty down to Easy for it just to get it done first time and out of the way. Even then I barely managed to get through it, but it's done now. I'm sure if I did it again I'd make a slightly better job of it, but I don't have to. After that it was just a couple of QTEs to squeeze out poops in stranger's toilets and plat #99 was in the books. For #100 I went down to the lower reaches of my profile and took on Resident Evil, the game I got my third ever trophy in. That trophy was for dying, which I always thought was a bit of a dick move to have a trophy like that. I left it after that because I didn't really have a clue what I was doing and ended up getting my second trophy in the game (for actually killing something) fourteen months later as part of my first attempted Attack on Completion. That attempt took me up to 81% but as the three hour speedrun took about 7 or 8 attempts (my last unsuccessful one was 3:00:04, which put me very close to suicide watch!) I was pretty sick of it by then, so it's laid untouched since then. All that was left was successful runs in Real Survival, No Knife and Invisible Enemy mode. The very thought of every one of those modes has filled me with dread for years now and the first few minutes of each run was a pretty dreadful experience - even on Very Easy for the latter two. However once I got the hang of the various modes it was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be and 89 months after starting the game - it's done. Moved on to Spidey 2 now, not too many trophies so far as I've spent most of the time doing the groundwork for some of the collectible trophies to minimise the inevitable post-story grind for once. Not looked at the trophy list in any great detail, will finish the story first. Really enjoying it and it definitely looks good, but not quite sure if I prefer it over the first one. We'll see how things pan out over the next few days.

Plats Earned: 146 --> 153 --> 153 (+0 from last update, +7 overall) Games Completed: 174 --> 183 --> 183 (+0 from last update, +9 overall) Unearned Trophies: 468 --> 379 --> 412 (112 to reach goal) Uncompleted Games: 15 --> 13 (-3 to reach goal) I missed another week, mainly because I haven't had a lot of time to game, but here's what I've been working on: What I've Been Playing Downwell (PS4) 7% --> 11% --> 25% So I've actually played quite a few hours here... but I have to come clean - none of the trophies earned on this game in the last week have been done by me. I'd been playing one afternoon for several hours and hadn't managed to get further than the 3rd area (out of 4, plus the end boss). My son had been watching and wanted to try it out. I said, sure, have a go if you want, thinking that I'd enjoy seeing him struggle with such a difficult game. I went downstairs to get some food. When I came back 20 minutes later he had gotten to the final boss and was on the last phase of the boss. (He did end up dying and didn't finish the boss.) So yeah, I was shown up by my 14 year old son. I'm still trying to get through the game, but as of yet haven't made it beyond the 3rd area myself. I'm not giving up yet! Biomutant (PS5) 0% --> 11% I ended up starting this one since my wife had given it to me for Christmas and I didn't want to go too long before I played it so that I didn't look ungrateful. We want to encourage her buying me games after all! I'm only a handful of hours into it so far. It doesn't seem like it will be too difficult. The possibilities of different builds has me intrigued, which is the positive and the main reason I'm mostly enjoying myself so far. The story however is told extremely awkwardly and it's not vibing with me yet. There is also something I can't quite put my finger on in the way the visuals are presented that makes it difficult for me to clearly see everything that's going on on the screen. It's like for some reason I can't fully focus and comprehend everything as naturally as it seems I can with most games. I don't know if it's some visual noise, or the color palette or what, but something seems off. Still, it seems there's more positives than negatives though. Among Us VR (PSVR2) 0% --> 46%x2 weeks --> 58%x3 weeks --> 70% --> 79%x5 weeks Haven't played in over a month. I'll get to it soon. Maybe. What's Next? - I had planned to try to organize a boosting group for Among Us VR last week but never did. I'll try soon in the future, but I'm not sure how soon. (This plan stand verbatim from last update) - Try some more Downwell and see if I can't improve any. (So does this comment) - Continue through Biomutant's story while exploring the world. Have a good week everyone, and happy trophy hunting! 2024 Games to Complete 9 of 40 PS3 - 1 of 7 3D Dot Game Heroes Alice: Madness Retruns Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Infamous Ratchet & Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal Remember Me SSX (5% --> 22% --> 37% -->100%) completed March 1 PSVR2 - 0 of 6 Altair Breaker Among Us VR (currently playing -> 0% -> 46%x2 weeks -> 58%x3 weeks -> 70% -> 79%x5 weeks) Cave Digger VR Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate (previously started -> 59%) Synapse Red Matter PS4 - 5 of 13 Darksiders (0% --> 4% --> 11% --> 100%) completed March 10 Downwell (currently playing -> 7% --> 11% --> 25%) God of War (1% --> 41% --> 100%) completed Jan 17 Granblue Fantasy Versus Hollow Knight Hue (0% --> 100%) completed March 13 Hyper Light Drifter (previously started -> 1%) Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Nioh (previously started -> 9%) Othercide Resident Evil 0 (0%--> 56%-->100%) completed Jan 4 Shadow of the Colossus (0% --> 65% --> 100%) completed Feb 3 The Messenger PS5 - 3 of 13 Biomutant(currently playing -> 0% --> 11%) Death's Door Deliver Us The Moon Demon's Souls Dredge Final Fantasy VII Remake Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery (0% --> 24% --> 100%) completed Feb 28 Inscryption Kao the Kangaroo (0% --> 2% --> 12% --> 31% --> 100% ) completed Feb 4 LEGO Builder's Journey (0% --> 100%) completed Jan 28 No Man's Sky Oxenfree II The Riftbreaker TBD JRPG
Popular Post OutPunked
It's been a while since I've last posted an update (2 months) and I can't say I've made much progress besides starting new games and buying DLC to work towards the outside of base-game trophies. Enough of my excuses though, here's the update. Feb-March Completion rate (49.50%-46.10% - Goal 60%) Shadow of the Tomb Raider- 47%-53% (I bought all trophy related DLC so hopefully this one will be 100% very soon. Dead by Daylight- 45% and 28% - 48% and 41% Paladins 80ish?% - 90% (One more trophy for Completion) Little Nightmares 0%-57% - I only have to go back through all completed levels for whatever collectibles I have left. MITSURUGI KAMUI HIKAE 26.58-52% BACK 4 BLOOD- ?- 26% Grand Theft Auto 5- ?-38% JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE: ALL-STAR BATTLE 0%-19% Resident Evil 0%-3% Touhou Genso Rondo 0-1% lol Assetto Corsa Competizione 0-2% - I had no plans of playing this but someone started this and earned the trophies on my account (I gameshare.) Injustice 2 ??-95% - I really need to get done with this one. I have to do better with keeping track of my percentages before unlocking certain trophies. As you can see I haven't done much work regarding other games except for DBD and MKH. I'll be honest, I kind of dread trophy hunting at the moment as I don't really know where to start. I hope I can catch some momentum. I'll try and get some games completed for you guys and *hopefully* I'll update you guys at the end of April. Maybe someone can take a look at my profile and suggest something. Edited March 29 by OutPunked I acidentally posted it before I finished

My suggestion would be to first delete all your games where you have 0 trophies earned. Just pick 2 or 3 games you feel you could finish in a reasonable time, like Spiderman Morales or Life is Strange. That way you get some momentum. It always give satisfaction if you finish a game completely. So select a game (or 2) and finish what you started before moving to the next game. And don't start a new game for at least a couple of months. Edited March 29 by gladiatorrrrrrr
