Popular Post ProfSeajay7
(6) Secret of Mana (1%) (7) Trials of Mana (0%) (8) Legend of Mana (0% => 7%) (9) Dragon Quest Builders 2 (100%) (10) Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom (PS5) (7%) So yeah, I am actually updating. Now that RPG Mania 2024 is underway, I can start playing RPGs again! Hooray! I decided to get started on the Mana games, and after finding a set of Youtube Videos detailing things in that game, I jumped into Legend of Mana. This is a very cozy game but you have to be very careful as you could miss one of the trophies by not getting everything related to it. One missable trophy is the one for filling out Lil Cactus's diary, which you have to do by talking to him after you complete every one of the 67 quests(except the last one which is the endgame). It's very easy not to talk to the little cactus before you rush down the stairs. If you start a new quest before talking to him, he won't write in his diary. It's very easy to mess up. So far I completed the first two quests and placed down two artifacts on the map. The reason I stopped playing was... well, tomorrow I get my money check so I have to use some of the money to upgrade my PS4 version of FFXIV out of the Free Trial so I can start earning trophies on it and get working on the platinum for that game, since I vowed to get the FFXIV platinum (PS4 version, remember that!) before the next FFXIV live letter drops in 11 days. I'm also working on my Blue Mage on the PS5 version on my other account. I do intend to get back to work on the list this month.

Popular Post freddie1989
So apparently I missed an update that I thought I had done. Makes this one slightly better I guess. Metro Last Light becomes my first completion of the challenge albeit over a week ago now. Really enjoyed my time with it and up for Exodus. May do a swap for that at some stage. It improves on a great first game in every way and definitely one I missed out on at the time. The DLC missions were a bit of a pain at times and definitely a spike in difficulty but the ones I couldn't be bothered with had a trick to cheese them so no issues there. Helldivers - been on the PS plus list for years now and never gotten around to it and the hype around number 2 has moved me along. I was definitely missing out!! It is so simple with zero story but it is an absolute blast to play!! Just working on helping out with the galactic campaign first and will then look at the other trophies. Side note on this one - if anyone hasn't played this and intends to the galactic campaign trophy is getting harder and harder due to the volume of players not being there so I would highly recommend getting that done at least. It won't become technically unobtainable but will end up near impossible I presume when nobody plays it anymore. There is a very good chance of a victory this evening if anyone fancies chipping in. Endling 0% Plague Tale Requiem 0% Helldivers 0% - 13% Rise of the Tomb Raider 16% Ghost of Tsushima 1% Battlefield Hardline 24% Dying Light 3% Zombie Army Trilogy 0% This War of Mine 0% Ghostwire: Tokyo 12% Metro: Last Light 65% -100%
Popular Post Braddad9
Updates: #1 - Spider-Man Remastered Time to finish the DLC and get up to 98%. I will start new game plus on ultimate difficulty before I play Miles Morales, but I am honestly tired of Spider-Man for now haha. Finally caved and bought WWE 2K24, this will be more of a background game I play without necessarily aiming to get the trophies unless it is part of the way I am playing at the time. In Progress - Spider-Man Remastered - 54% - 81% - WWE 2K24 - 0% - 4% Pending Games - Ghost of Tsushima - 0% - Horizon Zero Dawn - 0% - God of War - 0% - Astro's Playroom - 2% Swap - WWE 2k24 in for Spider-Man: Miles Morales - As I said above, I am just a bit tired of Spider-Man for now.
Popular Post MidnightDragon
Decided to drop out. Too much is uncertain. Hopefully summer will be better. On a positive note, earned two plats last night: both stacks of Felix the Cat. It’s fun, but $25 is a bit much, even with two stacks. Both took less than 90 minutes each, but enjoyed them. Look here to see what I think. I will still be posting updates on my gaming.

Popular Post Maddilyn_Mars
Update Time! The Mass Effect Trilogy is done!! I love this trilogy but my goodness did Mass Effect 3 test my patience. Not due to difficulty but having to fight the basic controls of the game. I don't remember ME3's cover/dodge system being so problematic before. I think I died more because the game decided I meant to stay in cover with my back to my enemies SOOOOO many times. Early on it wasn't an issue but by the time I started getting into late Act 2 to Act 3, it got....tiring. Also the power spike of The Citadel DLC was insane. It was like a whole different difficulty than Insanity was the majority of the game. There was also a few moments in the story that still kind of bothered me, but nothing compared to the original ending. I actually think replaying it, I understand what they were going for a lot better. Other than that however, the game is amazing. I love every bit of dialogue and wish I had more of The Normandy. At some point I will finally go back to try and beat Andromeda. OK but that's all short update and all that, though I will say I started a little trophy checklist journal as I wanted to have somewhere to write down my thoughts on games a little more in depth as well as record my progress for the year, so feel free to check it out if you like reading my nonsense! 😅 Back to earning trophies I go!! Popular Post Heather342
Update #5 Hey everyone, hope you're all having a great week and clearing those backlogs 😊 I'm still making steady progress on Rayman, making sure to clear all of the level objectives and time trials before moving on to the next. Managed to grab a couple more trophies for getting 5 skull teeth, 25 medallions complete and 15 speed runs complete. I'm at the last hub world now, so hopefully should get the last few trophies for getting collectables finished before the final boss. Still have 2 Tricky Treasure levels for the skull teeth to finish, Risky Ruin can absolutely get in the bin. Maybe another week to finish this one up I hope 😊 Other than Rayman, I did another run through of Strayed Lights. I got a couple of the trophies I missed on my first run, but somehow I still managed to miss some energy orbs and one skill point 🤦🏻♀️. So that's a third playthrough needed for me, but I can't be bothered with it right now. Gonna take a little break and play something else. Got a bit distracted playing some non challenge games (mostly P3P and Super Crazy Rhythm Castle), but I think I'll boot up Solar Ash next. That's all from me, catch you guys next week! 😁 Trophy progress: - Rayman Origins -> 48 > 54% - Strayed Lights -> 53 > 81% Pending games: - Solar Ash 0% - Tunic 0% - Sea of Stars 0% - Eternights 0%
Popular Post CurseBanette
Already April! Exactly 12 months ago is when I started to tackle my backlog. I went from around 77% completion to 95%. Completed around 47 backlog games in the process. Very happy about my progress. If I managed to stay fully focused on my backlog in these past 12 months, then right now I probably would have 99% completion with around 5 games left. But at least it shows I am not limiting myself. GTA 4 100% completed! Not part of this challenge since it was at around 83%, but it's still excellent backlog progress. I got the platinum last November, so this time I completed the 2 DLCs. Both awesome, just like the main game. Though if I have to pick one, I say the second DLC 'The Ballad Of Gay Toni' is the best, even better than the main game. Particularly entertaining missions with nice variety and the story was always interesting. Luis Lopez, TBOGT's protagonist, is my favourite character. GTA 4 main game got less entertaining around halfway of the story and some missions seemed to be unnecessary filler, while the first DLC 'The Lost And Damned' has a bit too many missions in which I had to lose the cops. But nothing too serious, both are awesome too. Trophy wise, TLAD was very easy and quick. 'Full Chat', maximizing the stats of your biker friends Terry and Clay, I got it exactly at the last mission, so I did not have to grind for it post game. TBOGT has a much harder trophy list, the reason being 'Gold Star' requiring 100% objectives completed for all missions. Not that hard, but it does require some time and effort. Unlike Assassin's Creed 3, all the objectives do not have to be completed in one go. So it's possible to do one objective per each mission try until 100% is achieved. I was very glad for that. I was surprised that the game does not tell me which objectives I already completed and which ones I was missing. It only displays the % completed next to each mission, so I had to rely on my memory. Not a problem, but still a bit weird. There is this very cool weapon introduced in TBOGT, the shotgun with explosive shells that I like to call it the 'super shotgun'. Destroys helicopters with only a few shots and it has very surprising range and accuracy for being a shotgun. Crazy powerful. The super shotgun helped me a lot for objectives like 'accuracy' and 'time', especially if the shooting happens in enclosed spaces. But in open areas where enemies are located far away, then the carbine rifle was the better choice. Carbine was also more useful for the 'headshot' objective. I was having an hard time scoring headshots while staying on cover, so I decided to always stay in the open. Much easier to score headshots in this way, but of course I was much more vulnerable. It happened so many times my health was in the red (10% or less), but I still won 99% of the times. I was surprised at how calm and collected I was during those situations and that definitely helped me to win in the end. Dying means repeating the entire mission from the beginning, including traveling with the car. 'Player damage' objective was never a problem, as long as you buy the armor and make use of the covers. 'Time' to me was the hardest objective. It felt a bit too strict, even considering the fact I was rushing with the super shotgun and realistically my driving is good and of course I use the fastest cars available. There were also special objectives that depend of the type of missions, like 'perfect parachute landing', '100% golf accuracy', '100% headshots' (not as bad as it sounds, even though there were 20+ heavily armed enemies), 'no car damage', 'close follow' and many others. The other trophies were not a problem. Though the 25 drug wars trophy was a bit long. There are 4 different variants of the drug wars, but it still got repetitive pretty quickly. And if boats were involved, things became pretty tedious. But still nothing hard. I did not use any in-game cheats. I was too lazy to Google them lol. And yet I did not find tiring at all to always go to the gun shop to buy the armor and refill the ammos after almost every mission lol. Instantly moving around thanks to the Taxi really made the difference in the best way possible, but it cannot be used for the Gold Star trophy. Lastly, I always made sure to never play during the in-game night. It's way too dark lol. Something I had no issue with the PS2 GTA games. 17 games left in my actual backlog. Final Fantasy XIII-2, the progress so far. Another game not part of this challenge. It was 34% completed, so it was not elibigle for just 1% lol. The game I chose for the >50% completion is Shining Resonance currently sitting at 44%. It's been a few years since last time I played Final Fantasy XIII-2 and when I resumed it a few days ago I was totally lost lol. The story was already completed, so I am working on the post game content, which is pretty much all about collecting the 160 fragments. I currently have 115. I got the 'Giant's Fist' trophy (99.999 damage dealt in one shot) by total accident lol. The psnprofile guide made it seem an intimidating trophy with all that preparation and strategy. I was fighting the Long Gui boss just for the sake to defeat it for the fragment. Just like any jrpg, I was underleveled because grinding is not my thing lol. I staggered the Long Gui to 999% because it was the right thing to do and when it was about to recover, I saw Noel activating a skill (I believe 'Scourge' was the name) and I see the 99.999 damage on screen and the trophy appearing a few seconds later. It was very cool! Don Tonberry is a very cool monster with a very cool name. I totally want to catch it and turns out there is even a gold trophy tied to it. The more reason to catch it! Speaking of catching, around in 2012 I read from somewhere it is possible to catch 150 monsters in this game. One memorable comment I read from someone said: "151 with Mew" XD (151 catchable Pokèmon in Red, Blue and Yellow with Mew being the 151st Pokèmon). This game is excellent just like 12 years ago. In these 12 years I played the game in 4 different periods. First time in 2012 I played the Xbox 360 Japanese version. I used to live in China and teenager me only managed to get the game in Japanese lol. To me it's a masterpiece but I could not complete the story due to barrier language and no way I wanted spoilers by checking a guide. 5 years later in 2017 while I was living in the UK I finally decided to buy and play the English version. Still for Xbox 360. This time I completed the story and it was so awesome! 4 years later in 2021 and back in Italy, when I was fully on Playstation instead of Xbox (subjectively, Playstation has better games) I bought the game again in digital and completed the story a second time. Awesome again. In terms of trophies, I was still not that much into it, so I just stopped there. 3 years later now in 2024 I am intending to get this excellent platinum. Currently sitting at 55%. Totally enjoying it! Serah in particular is one of my first crush in gaming and since 2012 she is still in my top 10 best characters ever. Potentially my absolute favourite too! This game is very special to me and it is only right that I attempt to get the platinum. After the platinum I really want to buy the Crystal Collector Edition. I was about to click "submit reply", but this reminiscing made me curious about the state of my Xbox 360 profile. So I decided to check in Exophase and I actually found my profile! In this post I have been talking about the Gold Star trophy in GTA 4 and it turns out it is my rarest achievement in my Xbox profile! Talk about coincidence lol. And wow, my profile is such a mess of incomplete games and that's very likely how my psn profile would look like if in 2010 I bought PS3 instead of Xbox lol. Very nice memories. Overall, I clearly remember having a lot of fun playing games in my Xbox 360. And I am still using my Serah avatar picture which I am super proud of! Too bad I cannot find it in psn. And btw, the acronim 'GOW', for most of you means 'God Of War', right? Well, to me it still means 'Gears Of War' XD. Oh, what the hell, some of my achievements' timestamps say '1st January 1970' XD. I remember I connected to Xbox Live after at least 1 year after the purchase, so that's likely the reason my timestamps are messed up lol. Popular Post Buff_Cupcake
Update 6 - A few updates from me - including two swaps in one go! Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth platinum is currently completely blocked for me due to the quest block referenced in some of the other posts in the challenge. They announced a fix was going to come but didn't actually say when. So it could be within the current challenge or it could be after the end date. I'll still keep it in for now in the hope the fix comes with enough time to get it done. In a weird way though, i'm actually a bit glad it is blocked right now. I enjoyed this game overall, but it is legit one of the most exhausting games i've ever played. So this, in a way, is a bit like a forced break. Pacific Drive - 0% > 10% I have been so fed up with FF7 Rebirth in general in the past week or two that I decided to start another title in my list - Pacific Drive. I'm only a short way in but it has already completely hooked me. I can't wait to dive deeper into this and explore the mechanics and the mystery further. Swapping out Dragon's Dogma 2 I mentioned the exhausting part just now because I think after getting through the wonderful-yet-bloated af FF7Rebirth, It has kind of soured me towards time heavy games. Basically - I need a break from 100+ hour RPGs in general for a little while after this. So i'm actually going to use my first swap of the challenge on the other 100+ hour RPG in my list - Dragon's Dogma 2. Switching it in favour of a cosier narrative game called Untold Stories. Swap 1 Dragon's Dogma 2 - 0% > Untold Stories I will be bringing Dragons Dogma 2 into the next challenge for sure though. It has been my most anticipated game this year so far. Swapping out Dead Rising This one is more on me in terms of not doing my research - but after looking into it, the Playstation ports of pretty much all of the Dead Rising games are rather glitchy and bugged. Not to mention the trophy with Dead Rising that requires you to play the survival mode for 14 hours straight in real time. What were the developers smoking when they thought this would be a good idea for a trophy? Madness. You can apparently put the console into sleep mode and do it in instalments like that, but honestly this one felt more like pulling teeth. So i'm permanently benching all of the Dead Rising games. Apparently there is a remake or some kind of Dead Rising game in the works with Capcom, so if that is true, i'll just wait for that. Dead Rising - 0% > Batman Arkham Asylum I'll be swapping this out for some good old fashioned Batman. That's all of my updates! Hope the weekend is outstanding for everyone! Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - 77% > 85% Pacific Drive - 0% > 10% Dragon's Dogma 2 - 0% > Untold Stories Monster Hunter World: Iceborne - 38% > 40% Dying Light 2 - 0% Dead Rising - 0% > Batman Arkham Asylum Edited April 5 by Buff_Cupcake
Popular Post DaveB-2204
Update 4: Hey everyone. Here with update number 4. Managed to fully complete Forbidden West. Ng+ on ultra hard was no joke and the final boss battle took me over 3 hours. One of the toughest boss fights I have ever faced. Really enjoyed the game though along with the dlc. Cannot wait for the third installment as I think this game set up the third very nicely. Still chipping away at PGA 2k23 when wanting to chill and have recently started Skyrim, very early into the playthrough though so will be a couple of weeks to plat I reckon. Happy hunting everyone. 1. Horizon Forbidden West - 1% - 34% - 71% - 100% 2. It Takes Two - 2% 3. Bully - 1% 4. South Park The Stick of Truth - 1% - 100% 5. Final Fantasy 16 - 1% 6. Popular Post Mr_Wright95
Update #4 Progress Since Last Update: Wreckfest 100% Ape Escape (25%) -> (40%) The Knight Witch (12%) Hello Neighbour 2 (28%) Untitled Goose Game (0%) PGA 2K23 (0%) -> (72%) Twisted Metal 2 (0%) Moving Out 2 (18%) -> (37%) Bit of progress across the board with the % probably not reflecting how close some of the platinums are. Ape Escape: Probably 2/3 through the game now and then will just need to go back and cleanup each level. Enjoyed this one a lot more since last update as I have become a bit more accustom to the clunky controls. PGA 2K23: Been smashing this one out all week. Probably about 2/3 of the way through this one as well with just a few of the online / misc trophies left, as well as a couple of the bigger grinds left. Feels extremely similar to PGA 2K21 and is a pretty solid golfing game in lieu of no everybody's golf alternative. Moving Out 2: About 60-70% through this one as well, really enjoying it aside from the occasional level that gets me annoyed. Overall within the next few updates I should likely have a lot less Red / Orange and a lot more Green!
Popular Post grumpaluffagus_1
Update #4: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - 63-->67% Assassin's Creed Revelations - 0% Powerwash Simulator - 42-->55% Disney Speedstorm - 26-->32% Lego 2K Drive - 0% The Witcher 3 - 14% Sleeping Dogs - 11% Immortals Fenyx Rising - 9% Well, I failed to complete Brotherhood like originally planned. The only thing I did was to finish the 100% in the da Vinci disappearance, that last mission took forever since I would fail the no damage run thanks to a particularly janky parkour section. Definitely going to be working more on this one in the coming week. I also made more progress in the campaign for Powerwash Simulator, I only have about five more missions and the rest of the challenges before the platinum. I also finally have more trophy progress in Speedstorm after playing it constantly in the background, just gotta keep grinding and find a way not to rage at the matchmaking for multiplayer as I keep progressing. That trophy for 30 wins is likely going to be the worst of the list. My main goal for the coming week is to find time to play something other than Speedstorm during the week. I'm at the point in that where only one to two races a day will make great progress and I really need to start knocking some of these longer story games off my list. Hopefully the next week brings some big leaps in completion for everyone!
Popular Post Fanatixa1
Hi everyone, Here's my update for the week. I'll swap out Like a dragon: Infinite wealth for Planet Zoo. I've been playing Planet Zoo quite a lot over the weekend and made some story progress. I love these kinds of games and so far I'm hooked to this one. I've also played more High on Life. This game is really funny, I've been laughing out lout with all these silly jokes. I will try to finish the story this week and then... collectibles time! Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness 6% I got in the (many) grinds for One Piece: Unlimited World Red last week and managed to complete some of them, like greeting 300 villagers, using Namis and Robins special ability x amount of times and even to complete the fish and insect gallery (I heard a few rng horror stories about this one, but the grind wasn`t to bad for me). I also unlocked the quest class, that has the mission, that is recomended for leveling up all characters and for grinding out Ruffys and Zorros ability, so I think I try to get the trophies for that out of the way next and then complete the coliseum and play through the story again on hard difficulty.
Popular Post TalesofGaming
Update 4: 1) Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - 85% -> 100% 4/5/24 2) Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds - 30% -> 35% 3) Spy Fox in "Dry Cereal" - 0% 4) Hokko Life - 0% -> 51% 5) Tails of Iron - 0% I finally finished Rebirth! Boy, was that platinum journey challenging... Those combat sims are no joke! It was all thanks to @Optinooby's amazing guides that gave me the courage to pull through! 🥰 I also started Hokko Life for a nice chill experience after such a big game. It's definitely an Animal Crossing clone albeit not as good. I think this game has too much crafting in it. 😅
