I'm looking through my backlog and some of the games on this list, which I might be removing for the Summer one, I've not fully decided yet but I'm hoping to get another one completed before the end of this one. To stop myself getting burnt out I've done quite a bit of pro clubs this month on EAFC 24 which has been a nice break at times.
Popular Post grumpaluffagus_1
Update #6: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - 75-->82% Assassin's Creed Revelations - 0% Powerwash Simulator - 68-->74% Disney Speedstorm - 48-->66% Lego 2K Drive - 0% The Witcher 3 - 14% Sleeping Dogs - 11% Immortals Fenyx Rising - 8% Another week and another failure to finish AC Brotherhood. The clean-up in this game is dense and I'm currently at 86% sync. The amount of time that this is taking does not bode well for my goal to eventually finish the whole series. On the bright side, I did actually manage to work on it during the week so hopefully I can keep that up. For Powerwash Simulator, I am almost done with the Spongebob DLC. I just have to finish the last job and then it's on to another DLC pack. And my obsession with Disney Speedstorm finally paid off, I finished both of the grindy single player trophies, so all that's left is the multiplayer (which I'm almost halfway done with) and a few luck based trophies for getting pulls from the random cosmetic boxes. I have loved this game, but Gameloft removing the ability to access all content as a free-to-play this season feels like the death of it. I'll definitely be getting the rest of the trophies but I don't know if this will become the long-term game that I was hoping for. Personally, it feels like it only has a couple more seasons left in it and it's a shame to see such a solid cart racer dying. This next week should be nothing but AC, I need to cross something off my list and this will be the easiest assuming I don't play non-stop Speedstorm instead. I also need to decide how I'm changing this list to make it possible in the time remaining, I'm hoping that this round will finally be the one where I complete a challenge. I don't want to swap Witcher 3 since I planned that for my 30th platinum, but the others are all up in the air (especially since I have a few shorter games downloaded that will make this easier).

Popular Post Fanatixa1
Hi everyone, Completed High on Life and the DLC High on Knife this week. I really enjoyed this game, it's really funny! The collectibles we're annoying to get tho and it took me quite some time to find everything. I started Chants of Sennaar this weekend. A very interesting puzzle game where you have to translate languages. So far I'm enjoying it, but I did have to use a guide for some parts. Also I keep playing Lego Lord of the Rings. Making good progress through the story and really enjoying it! Have a great week! 1. Pic-A-Pix Color (Vita) - 100% 2. Papers Please (Vita) - 100% ✅ 3. High on life - 14% --> 100% 4. Popular Post CurseBanette
Completed Saints Row 4 a second time! This time PS4-Australia! Is Saints Row 4 the only game with Australian stacks? In any case, Australian stacks are very rare and that was one of the reasons I played the game again XD. Also, Saints Row is my favourite western game series, so the more reason to play it. I still remember one of the launch trailers for PS3 had this sentence in it: 'The game Australia does not want you to play' XD. There is censorship, hence the stack: Shaundi's loyalty mission being completely removed and her simply receiving the power-ups automatically. I completed everything in 22 hours, DLC included. And that was a problem due to the trophy requiring to play for 40 hours lol. 18 hours of afk then XD. In the gamercard I am currently using, I have Athena from The King Of Fighters in display. And now also Saints Row 4 is displayed since it is my latest game played. I'm happy to see Athena and Saints Row have very nice chemistry because they have purple in common XD. God Eater 2 Rage Burst (Hong Kong). This might be the first time I will not be able to stack a platinum. The language barrier is a bit too much, probably making the trophies for collecting 400 unique clothing items and upgrade weapons to the max ranks to be my platinum breakers. Oh well, shoutout to my blank account XD. But the game is super fun, just like the first time I played it! I will still give my all and it's the kind of long term game I can get back to every once in a while. Also, contrary to the international versions, this stack includes color 2 for every single party member. The thing is, we can use in the party both the original and color 2 for any specific character! Being able to choose 2 Alisa is dreamlike! XD Last month I played and completed Devil May Cry 5 PS4. The game is so awesome that even though only 1 month has passed, I was already missing it so much lol. So that's why I bought and currently playing the Special Edition for PS5. Just like in Devil May Cry 4, Legendary Dark Knight is one of the best modes in gaming history! Personal opinion, of course. Countless enemies at the same time! So much fun fighting all of them! For the missions I am trying to get as many S ranks as possible first try in order to do less clean up. Currently played 48 missions (Human, Devil Hunter and Son Of Sparda difficulties). 44/48 S ranks. My will to tackle my actual backlog is still nowhere to be found. So I took a look at my wishlist and dammit it was a bad idea: 160+ games I want to play lol. Of course I do not even own all of them, not even close XD. Lost Ruins -> Potion Permit (PS4/EU) I continued playing One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 and finished Chapter 3 and 4 of the storymode (which follows the manga/anime from water 7 up to the time skip). I also started replaying the first levels to get 100% legend points in them (playing on hard, getting S in all categories and so on). Lastly, I swap Lost Ruins for Potion Permit (PS4/EU), which I started last monday. It is a charming mix of Harvest Moon/Rune Factory and the Atelier series (the standart male protagonist even looks a bit like Klein from the first Atelier Iris in my opinion).

It only took 12 hours, but I spaced it out over 3 weeks for some reason. Oh well, it's done! The final boss was a bit of a jump up in levels, but I had a few +XP items by then so it didn't take long to grind up the levels needed to win. I also have the PS5 version to play at some point, maybe for the summer challenge. Tried a little Just Cause 4 again and wasn't feeling it. Then I switched to DBXV2 and I think I can stick with it. Popular Post viech54
Update #11 A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV Cleared all bonus objectives in the dream stages and got the game to 100%. The bonus objectives turned out more challenging than I thought. _____________ Just one more game now, Hogwarts Legacy. Will likely start the game next weekend. There may yet be time for one or two additional games, depending on how long it takes me. We'll see. Looking forward to it. I also already have some ideas for the summer challenge, but there will be the Elden Ring DLC and the next Final Fantasy XIV expansion, 2 games I can't use for the summer challenge that will take up quite a bit of my time. So I'd likely only be able to play games for the challenge until either the 20th of June or the 28th. Which would be time enough to complete 5 short games. So not sure I'll join. Ironic because by the time I get round to it, it will be about time - bad pun 😅. Sly 2: Band of Thieves > 100% Finished this one up yesterday and I enjoyed my time with it, I just didn't find it as bingeable as the first game, it's still good though and I think everything after episode 5 when you get to Canada are the best parts of the game, the soundtrack is banging there as well, but may be a little biased since it had slide guitar in it and I like me some slide guitar. The story in this one is better than the first one as well, so I really enjoyed that. I'll probably hold off on playing the 3rd game for a while though, since I've heard it's not as good as 2, and I want to play something different. I don't often play games in a series one after the other. Resident Evil > 29% Added this one and haven't made any progress so far, but going to be resetting anyway since me and Rob started my playthrough with Chris (blind first) and I made wayyyy too many crimsonheads. Big mistake, so new game it is! Shouldn't take too long to reach that point again. It's nice to go back to this one but the camera is sooo awkward and the inventory is super limited. The camera does add to the horror vibe to it though and I can 100% appreciate it. BioShock 30% Still no progress on this since I haven't gamed too much this week and I've been pretty busy, but I did get past the Dr Steinman fight and rescued my first little sister, I'll be mostly focusing on BioShock now, seeing @rjkclarke getting all the 100% in the BioShock games has motivated me to go back to them, since I still have all 3 games to platinum myself. Call of Duty: Black Ops II > 54% Picked up another trophy for achieving all 4 challenges in one game on Origins, so around 115 headshots, turning all the generators on, filling up all the chests with lost souls and spending 35k points. Wasn't too bad on easy at all. Me and the group are going to focus on the EE now until it's done, but 3 of us have another trophy to get which just involves getting grabbed by the Panzer soldat and breaking free, and breaking a friend free. Shouldn't be too bad! I really should get to the campaign as well in this since we'll be moving on to World at War DLC next.

Prodeus: I am 18/28 levels complete for this game. Really really great game, just a bit of a shame that a guide is semi required to 100% the levels. Still really enjoying it and I am hopeful to have this one finished up by next update. The Artful Escape: Short and sweet game that I added to the challenge as it is leaving PS+ Extra. Really worth checking out before it leaves the service. Visually stunning with a solid story to boot. Last Stop: Similar to the Artful Escape I added this to the list as it is leaving PS+ Extra. Really enjoying this one, it is giving me telltale vibes, which is something I did not realized I missed to be honest. So far the story has been good! Swaps Used: 0 I am contemplating a potential swap with the Knight Witch as I have made 0 progress on this game since this challenge started. For now I will leave it in hopes to motivate myself to tackle it, but I am finding it hard at the minute to want to go back to it. Also starting to consider my games for the Summer challenge which signups will be starting for soon. As I have more time to plan for that one, I am hoping to bite off some harder and more time consuming games for that!

It feels like it's been a while, and it probably has. I have been trying to keep up to date with all of your posts as best I can anyway, and I've been really enjoying those, as ever. Whilst it probably doesn't look like I've made all that much progress since my last challenge update here, I do feel like I've made a decent chunk, as far as overall gaming, and backlog clearing goes. Which means I guess I'd better waffle about what I've been playing Since the last update, I went and FINALLY finished off BioShock 2, which had been on my list for almost thirteen years at this point, so it felt really good to finally get that very large monkey in a Big Daddy suit off of my back 😂 After that, I ended up ploughing through Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, in the space of about a day.... Which I had a little bit of an up and down time with.... Which I suppose I should elaborate on a little bit, just to give some context. I'm a really big fan of the Metal Gear series, my avatar sort of gives that away .... However.... I really don't think I'm a huge fan of the original Metal Gear.... Metal Gear 2 yes.... but the original.... No.... There was me, thinking, I've played these games loads, I should just breeze through this first one, right? Right? RIGHT? Unfortunately.... I had forgotten so much of the original Metal Gear it was almost laughable... I really should have gone in with this in mind.... Yeah, so, essentially, I sucked at the original Metal Gear, I will readily hold my hands up. It's a fantastically designed game though, and the way it works within the limitations of the hardware it was originally released on is spectacular... Even so, I did not love it, @Redblaziken8 unfortunately had to hear lots of unsavoury words about it 🤣 However, whilst there's plenty of good aspects to it, I also I think it's obtuse, the stealth doesn't really work all that well in the original game, it barely has any semblance of a story, and Solid Snake is about as interesting as a bowl of soup with cocktail sausages sprinkled into it, about to be devoured by an old man (strange reference but at least one of you will get it ).... That being said - I think Metal Gear 2 is something really special, it absolutely paved the way for everything that the series grew into, and I had an absolute blast revisiting that one, I did come out the other side of finishing that game with very fond and positive experiences playing these... I guess sucking at the original Metal Gear is on me for not playing it for about twelve years 😂 As usual you can read some more detailed waffle about my time with it below, if you want to. Spoiler It's probably a good thing that I left this a few days after I got the platinum to really share my thoughts on this one, because they're more than a little mixed, and if Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 had separate lists..... they'd read very different . I think - as it now turns out - I've played the original Metal Gear far less than I initially thought I had, and I think it's that overconfidence that saw me continually struggling, getting spotted and having a generally rough time.... ending up just like this.... In all honesty, I think the original Metal Gear game has aged about as well as a freshly poured glass of milk might, if it was left out in the Mojave for just a little bit too long. At least in most aspects anyway. That being said - it does have some very good points to it - I really do think for a game that came out almost 37 years ago now, it has some impeccably clever level design, giving the player quite a broad amount of freedom of exploration, there were a few items I ended up picking up an item way earlier than I meant to, purely because I had remembered the events of the game playing out in a slightly different order. Metal Gear 2 though.... That game actually has aged very well, I thought anyway. Solid Snake feels a lot more like the character he would later become at this point, he's got a slight comedic edge, he's not deadly serious, and always has a keen eye for the ladies. Yet, with the youthful cockiness I think he's written in a pretty endearing way in this game, as opposed to the generic soldier of the first one. It could be my increased familiarity with Metal Gear 2, the game I definitely have played more than the original, but I find this one far less confusing to navigate, because it's not quite so filled with areas that look identical. With Metal Gear 2, the characters feel more fleshed out, almost everything and everyone has a purpose, and it began one of my favourite traditions of the series, of the bosses/villains eulogising about their actions after defeat. I could write plenty about these games, and I'm sure I will at some point, but I'll try and wrap this up.... I did have a lot of fun going for this platinum, a whole lot of fun in the second one, and it did get me in the mood to want to nab that final Metal Gear Solid platinum in one of my favourite games of all time at some point in the next year, so I'm looking forward to that After finishing Metal Gear 1 and 2.... I ended up finally starting BioShock Infinite, which was a game that I'd been wanting to play for such a long time... and I am really glad I did, because it's a pretty great game (albeit, my least favourite of the three) but they're all incredibly good games to be honest. With that complete, I now have all three BioShock titles sitting at 100% completion, which is pretty damn satisfying. Whilst I had quite a few issues with the DLC, and it's story and how I think it both undermines the base game, and certain characters in the original BioShock I do think despite that, it's very fun to play. It's absolutely astounding really, the leap in quality gameplay-wise between BioShock 2 and this entry, combat no longer feels like a mad rush to unload your ammo into a splicer, when they stand still for more than a second or two, and now has even more approaches, play-styles and options open to you, for how you approach it, and I thought that was handled excellently. Whilst I might prefer Rapture to Columbia too, I think the way the world is built in Columbia is fantastic, and some of the dark themes and undertones that are implied by bits of dialogue between NPC's and audio diaries, the fact the game was willing to explore some of those points is pretty admirable. As usual, I did write a bit of waffle about that as well, so I'll put that underneath if you want to read it, which of course, if optional!! Spoiler So, with this game now complete, i now have the 100% in the entire BioShock series, which I'm pretty pleased about.... That being said - what did I think about the game? Honestly, I really like BioShock infinite, very much actually, but - and yes, this is quite a big but.... I think it's probably my least favourite of the three. I do think it's very good, but I also feel like the way this game plays out is probably why we've not seen a BioShock 4 yet, because they rather wrote themselves into a corner with Infinite. I feel like from a gameplay perspective it's the absolute pinnacle of the series, and that really can't be denied, yet, I also feel like something is a little lacking in the atmospheric department. Possibly this is down to personal preference though - I prefer the claustrophobic shut in feeling of Rapture, whereas others might prefer the openness, and almost reverie-like feeling that Columbia gives off. I don't know, some aspects of this just didn't really do all that much for me.... Booker Dewitt is a little bland, and a pretty bog standard Troy Baker performance, I understand that none of the previous BioShock protagonists feel that compelling either, but their silence sort of forces the issue of putting yourself in their shoes. Whereas Elizabeth, she's much more engaging, yes she's a pretty intriguing character... at least until the DLC makes a bit of a mess of her. It's a little up and down the state of BioShock DLC, I think Minerva's Den in BioShock 2 is incredible, whereas Burial at Sea sort of feels like some really poorly thought out fan fiction, written by someone who idolises Elizabeth as a character, and felt the need to anchor her to every foundation of the original BioShock games, and the world of Rapture. The irony is, it's very fun to play, and I very much enjoyed it, it's just the more I thought about the implications of certain developments, I kind of found myself wondering "okaaaaaaaaay then" or doing my best Phoebe from Friends impression and just out loud being like "Uhhuh.... yeah.... okay" I sound like I didn't enjoy it? But I did, I do think this is a very good game, and at times I found it incredibly difficult to put down and stop playing. I also really respect how dark Infinite went with some of it's thematic elements in both the story, and the various pieces of Lore in audio recordings that can be found around Columbia, this game does do world building in an incredibly efficient and clever way. Off challenge, I have also been chipping away at Star Ocean: The Last Hope International slowly, there's only so much of it I can stomach at a time now that I'm basically just at the stage where I'm grinding battle trophies for a while, I'm making some decent progress though, in my slow march to finally having the platinum in that game. I also decided to finally fire up and finish Batman: Arkham Knight, as I felt like it'd been sitting incomplete on my list for far too long, and I thought it'd be nice to finally actually have the platinum in every Arkham game, seems this year is turning into a year where I'm filling in quite a few blanks of game series I've been pretty fond of, and I don't really see that changing from what I'm planning to play in the future. Once I've finished Arkham Knight I'm tempted to do a bit of puzzling and finally fire up Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One.... but, knowing me, I'll probably do something completely different... Either way, I'll catch you all in the next one.... Life got in the way of gaming, and I haven't had the time or honestly the desire to play anything the past month, at least until the past week or so. I decided to try easing back into things with some short games, including Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. This one was a fun game and was a good quick dopamine burst. I've also hit the point where I don't think I'm going to complete all the games on my list, especially Crymachina and TLOU. I'm going to use two of my three swaps on those and sub in a couple shorter games since I won't have the opportunity to use my PS5 for two weeks in May. Even if I don't finish my list, I've got a good idea of how to approach this event come the summer round.
Popular Post freddie1989
Update time! Finished off Plague Tale and loved it, another great entry in the series. Story is really good and it keeps you interested. A bit boring 2nd time round for clean up as I missed the point of the skills and the secret chests first time and of course the story brings no shocks when you know it LOL Switched in Darksiders 3 as I never stick to the list and enjoying that for the bit I have done so far. Also going back to Ghost of Tsushima but the one trophy I popped didn't increase % but trying to remember the combat flow in that one Plague Tale Requiem 60% - 100% Endling 0% Helldivers 22% Rise of the Tomb Raider 16% Ghost of Tsushima 1% Battlefield Hardline 24% Zombie Army Trilogy 0% This War of Mine 0% Ghostwire: Tokyo 12% Darksiders 3 0% - 4%

Popular Post whodeygamer
Update 4 1. Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus 2. Sly 2: Band of Thieves - 0 > 34% 3. MediEvil 4. Tales of Kenzara: Zau 5. Severed Stellar Blade Swaps Sly Cooper 3: Honor Among Thieves Sly Cooper: Theives in Time Severed I tried to get through Severed but I hit a brick wall on the 2nd major boss of the game and my fingers just don’t seem capable of getting through that game… At this point since a I’ve used all of my swaps I just think I’m gonna enjoy Stellar Blade and not worry about completing the challenge anymore… I’ll take a break from backlog challenges maybe by either fall or winter I’ll be ready to commit again. Popular Post Hurricane_Tanya
Update 4: - A Plague Tale: Requiem - 3% - Arcade Paradise - 100% - Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood - 52% >> 82% - Afterparty - 100% - Last Stop - 0% >> 100% - This is the Police - 0% Swaps 1/3 I finished up Last Stop, it was ok, a bit like watching Eastenders (a London based soap) if there were supernatural elements. I did find the pacing weird, there are 6 chapters for each character building up their individual stories, and then the last chapter has them all collide in a completely new setting. It’s just over a bit suddenly. I did enjoy the writing, especially the foreshadowing for the teenager’s ending that comes from a conversation her friends are having in the background while you’re busy throwing glass bottles at people’s cars. I also finished the story for Brotherhood, which made me realise that despite the fact I played II to death back when it came out, and definitely played Brotherhood and Revelations a lot, I’ve never finished it before. I still have the dlc missions to play, and thief assignments, which I didn’t know were a thing until I checked what was needed for 100%. Hopefully I’ll be finished with it this month. i started This is the Police. It’s very interesting so far, but I didn’t realise that the trophies can be buggy and it has a very low completion percentage. Oh well I’ll still aim to get it done and just hope I don’t get any glitches
Popular Post dark_moon689
2nd Update, Finished Knights of Pen and Paper, the dungeon crawler trophy is the most boring part of it, you only do like 4 dungeons in the course of a play-through, so getting to 50 clears was very dull. The second play through was quick enough, just grind quite a lot gold while getting the dungeons done in my original play through and spending it all on the second. I also completed The Pedestrian that had left hanging a while ago. I really enjoy Sea of Stars, got to the first ending, now I have to clean up collectibles and side quest and go for the true ending. I really enjoy the characters and companions, I love the visual style. Two more games left to start working on and a month left to finish everything, if the stars align and my electricity allows it I'll get it done. 1. (PS4) Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear 4% -> 2. (PS4) The Pedestrian 30% -> 100% 04/28/2023 3. (PS4) Sea of Stars 0% -> 11% -> 51% 4. (PS4) Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Deluxier Edition 0% -> 77% -> 100% 04/08/2023 5. (PS4) ADR1FT 0% - Games completed: 2/5 Swaps used: 0/3

Popular Post grumpaluffagus_1
Update #7: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - 82-->100% Assassin's Creed Revelations - 0-->11% Powerwash Simulator - 74-->76% Disney Speedstorm - 66-->68% Lego 2K Drive - 0% The Witcher 3 - 14% Sleeping Dogs - 11% Goat Simulator - 0% Immortals Fenyx Rising - 8% Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection - 0% Swaps (2/3) I can finally say that I am done with AC Brotherhood, I loved the story and the gameplay but some of the side missions and optional objectives tested my patience. The thief races and completing one of the lairs of Romulus in under 8 minutes were definitely the worst. I ended the platinum journey by killing a guard with a broom and I am so unbelievably happy for that to be my platinum clip, it's a truly amusing animation. With one AC done now, I started in on the next one. I completed up to sequence 3 of AC Revelations and so far it is everything that I could ever want as a continuation of Ezio's story. In other progress, I finished the Spongebob DLC for Powerwash and will be starting one of the two remaining packs this week. I just haven't decided which one yet. I also made even more progress in Speedstorm and started in on the multiplayer grind. It definitely feels like the matchmaking got worse with the new season and I cannot wait until those trophies are behind me. Lastly, I will be swapping Sleeping Dogs and Immortals Fenyx Rising for Goat Simulator and Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection. I need a Star Wars game for May and this is one that I loved as a kid. Hopefully the rerelease still has some of that magic. Goat Simulator looks to be fun and simple and I need a bit of that on this list. Plus, both of these games are shorter and give me a chance of being ready to earn the Witcher 3 as my 30th platinum either in this challenge or at the beginning of the summer one.
