gladiatorrrrrrr
12 hours ago, Heather342 said: I haven't played the PS3 version of the game, but I've not found anything overly difficult playing on the Vita. The tricky treasure levels are a bit frustrating, as are some of the level speed runs, but it doesn't feel impossible. The Vita version does use some touch screen mechanics to pop bubbles which can come in handy if you miss grabbing a Lum in a bubble or an extra heart. The Vita version has 3 relics hidden in each level that you need to tap the screen to collect, they're hard to spot sometimes but they make a very distinct sound when they are nearby 😊. The guide rating of 8/10 might be a tad exaggerated, feels more like a 6/10 to me. thanks!
Popular Post gladiatorrrrrrr
Hello all, weekly update time Dishonored 2 - PS4 - 27% => 40% Restarted this game. Never finished it for some odd reason. So far so good. Pretty decent levels/missions with a lot of ways of dealing with the situation. I have chosen to first do a high chaos run so I get a better feel for the levels when I am going for my low chaos run/never been spotted. Popular Post viech54
Update #04 Final Fantasy IX Completed the game. I liked the optional superboss, Ozma. This fight can be either really hard or quite manageable, depending on preparation. It's a good kind of difficulty. Even with preparation, it's not a free win, so it's a good kind of difficulty, I'd say. Then I leveled a character to 99, which made the last bit of story really easy. It would've been easier than the optional boss anyway, so not a problem. The 12 hours speedrun for the Excalibur II weapon took about 5 hours, so quite a bit of time to spare. This is really easy with the ingame speed boost. It boosts the speed of the game, but the ingame timer doesn't increase faster. So I can play the game at 4 times the speed while still having 12 hours to reach the end of the game. _____________ Next: Dragon Quest Heroes. Didn't get any new trophies yet, but resumed my playthrough. Apparently I stopped right before the final boss. After doing a few missions, I can see why. This game is a bit of a mess. You play it with a party of 4 characters and control one of them yourself. You can switch between the characters to account for different situations. The AI is terrible in this game, especially during defend missions. Also, the level system is bugged. Characters cannot level down, yet it happened to one of my characters after a mission. During the mission, they were level 36, then they got to level 35 after a mission. No idea how that happened. Possibly a glitch. I'm considering moving this game to my forever incomplete pile and using a switch for this. Haven't decided yet, though. Will give it a bit more time. Based on the trophy guide, it'll take 60 hours to complete and I'm already at 40 hours. So shouldn't take that much longer to complete it, assuming I didn't waste too much time back when I first played it. Which I no longer remember. Gameplay-wise, it feels really spammy and the camera is way too close to the character with no way to change it. _____________ Anyway, take care, good luck with your lists! Popular Post Maddilyn_Mars
UPDATE TIME!! Just finished Mass Effect 2 and have the lovely Platinum for one of the best games of all time, at least in my opinion. And as expected I'm jumping right into Mass Effect 3. There was a rally in my locale over St. Patrick's weekend so that spurred me into starting WRC 5 which I knocked out relatively quick. Been grinding MWZ as of late so not entirely sure when I'll get to one of my remaining two games from my list. WRC 5 - This one felt like a really barebones rally game, especially considering the miniscule amount of cars to choose from (I think five?). On top of this there is no split times during the race so it doesn't really feel like your racing against other racers. It's simply just get from A to B in as little amount of time as possble. There is no sense of urgency during the race, as there is no indicator whether your doing well or not in comparison to the competition. However I did enjoy seeing how my times stacked up against others in the online rankings. I ended up with one top 100, five top 250's and 18 top 500's!

I just need ten vehicles in my garage (I have twelve) and to do ten takeover events which I know I've done more than that. There may be another one to escape 50 cop chases that is glitched so if I don't get it by the end of the story I might be playing for a lot longer. I really hope that's not the case but we'll see. I also decided to swap Ni No Kuni. I love it but I have to go back and grind because I've been ignoring side stuff to push the story and now I'm severely under leveled and stuck on a boss. I am also not really wanting to push myself on it to get it finished for this event so I'm going for a smaller game. I just finished my first playthrough of Mafia last night and have made it back to chapter 7 on Classic mode, past the annoying race in chapter 5 that stops a lot of people from progressing the story. Basically all I have to do is finish the story again and get all the collectibles and it's done.
Popular Post viech54
Update #05 Dragon Quest Heroes Finished the story and did most optional content. Now I only need some gold to buy gear for the collectable trophies, a few quests, one normal enemy, and the hardest boss in the game. Also using every characters' ultimate attack (easy) and a random trophy where the main character spends some time with the rest of the main cast in between missions. This means talking to all of them between missions and hoping for the best. Which is a bad trophy, the odds are way too low, I'll be done with everything else long before I get this trophy. Doesn't sound too bad, right? Except the talking trophy, maybe, that is random and a huge waste of time in the end as it requires spamming some easy mission repeatedly until the characters finally deign to talk to the main character. If only this game weren't a COMPLETE DUMPSTER FIRE FULL OF BUGS! Take this trophy, for example: https://psnprofiles.com/trophy/3951-dragon-quest-heroes-the-world-trees-woe-and-the-blight-below/10-veteranarian Defeat all veteran monsters, essentially. I did that. I compared my kills with a monster list from the trophy guide to confirm I killed them all. Trophy? Nope. Idk what to do about that. I may have to swap this game out and leave it forever incomplete as I will not play through the entire game again on a different save file and to another 100% run if there's no way around that. Assuming the trophy even pops the second time around. Which isn't guaranteed. There's nothing that I could do differently to make it pop. I know I met the requirements and could only do the same again. @MidnightDragon If I can't complete a game due to a bug and want to swap it out, does that count towards my 3 swaps? edit: Never mind, killed the veteran monsters a second time and got the trophy. In the monster list, I have 2 kills for all of those now. No idea why it didn't work the first time. _____________ But with a game like this, I'm questioning my choice of games or whether being a completionist is even a good thing. Learning everything about a game is great, beating all bosses, exploring every area, doing all side quests, and the like. I did that before trophies existed, so trophies were only the next logical step for me. This can be fun, but then there are games that I just don't enjoy. I want both, ideally. A completion and being able to say I had fun, that it was worth my time in the end. But then there are games like this one that are severely flawed in some crucial aspects. This game is absolutely not worth my time. But I'm too close to the 100% to stop now. Maybe I should really test games on my second account before adding them to my primary one. When in doubt, I can just not play the games or play without worrying about completion on a different account. Anyway, take care, good luck with your lists! I finished the main story and it was better than AC2 in every way. I only really enjoyed the first two and last two (non-DLC, since those were . . . not great) sequences in AC2 since they were the only ones that seemed to tell a cohesive story. Brotherhood is a great story from start to finish with some great twists that really pull the whole thing together, even though the ending is unbelievably weird again. I have started in on finishing the missions that I am missing from the main story for the 100% sync as well as made good progress on the open world side quests. I am also missing one mission and one 100% from the da Vinci dissappearance, 3 war machines and 4 lairs of Romulus. I'll be looking to finish this one off in the next couple of days. Other than that, I played a little more Speedstorm this week with no new trophies, but some good progress towards the grindy ones. I can already tell that the trophy for getting wins in multiplayer is going to be rough since the game's matchmaking is not great. I have an idea for how to cheese this, but it's going to be a grind to get a character set-up to even test my theory.

Popular Post Buff_Cupcake
Update 5 Hey all, hope you are surviving the deluge of April Fools on the internet! Dropping some progress updates below: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth I managed to push through all of the Brutal and Legendary mode VR battles which was one of the hardest things I think I've ever done in a videogame so far. The Brutal and Legendary missions are ridiculously overtuned in my opinion. But hey, I got through them with a homebrewed gear and material loadout inspired by a few valiant YouTubers. I got two shiny new in-game ornaments from it too. I'm so unbelievably relieved that is done with now. I really hope that in the third game they halve the overloaded amount of VR missions available. Also, no more Brutal and Legendary missions, there is just no need. Spoiler Now the grindy monotonous stuff is out of the way, I'm going to mop up some remaining mini-game requirements and make a start on my hard mode run. The platinum is still completely blocked because of a broken side quest. It locks you out of a few of the requirements for 7-star hotel. So outside of the hard mode playthrough, i'm running out of things to do before I fully hit the blocked content. Hope a patch comes soon. I kinda want to just get this done now and move on. I loved this game, but it really, really outstayed it's welcome from a completion point of view. If you want to aim for a platinum for this, know that it is a massive undertaking. This week It is going to be a busy one at work this week, so I'm not sure how much mental energy i'll have for gaming. But i'm planning on either completing everything I can up to the progress blocker in FF7 Rebirth or bagging the platinum if a patch lands early this week. Have a great week all and catch you later! Moving Out 2: my partner and I continue to chip away at and are enjoying just as much as the first game. Hello Neighbour 2: I really wasn't sure what I could expect with this game. First I finished Shantae (Good for a GB game, but not without its flaws - enemies are damage sponges, a few, "where to go?" moments and cryptic hints, the transformations via rhythm minigame only work when it wants to) and then I finished Shantae: Half - Genie Hero UE and got my 400th platinum milestone and completed the series with it. All I had left to do was to get the 4 win screens (normal playthrough/speedrun with/without 100%) for the ninja costume (reminded me a bit of the NES Ninja Gaiden games or Shinobi only in the Shantae world, got 3 win screens in my first playthrough and had to do another one for the any % speedrun) and for the Bikini costume, which was the hardest (you loose constantly health, when you don`t pick up sun cream) and the easiest mode (I got all 4 win screens in one playthrough, since the time limit was very forgiving in this mode) at the same time. I also finished the story in One Piece: Unlimited World Red and now have a lot of grinding to do for the platinum (and I mean a lot, I finished the story in 12 hours and when the trophy guide is correct, I have now 58 hours of grinding left) and I played Ritual: Crown of Horns, a twin stick tower defense game set in a supernatural version of the old west, and finished the story and got a trophy for clearing 40 challenges, so all I have left to do is to finish the remaining 41 challenges and I have the 100% completion for that game (which is easier said than done, as some of the challenges are very unforgiving).

Popular Post viech54
Update #06 Dragon Quest Heroes Completed the game. Wasn't sure I could do it. I encountered another glitch with the base conversations. So I was missing conversations with 5 of the 12 characters. That's still almost half of the conversations and all have the same chance to spawn. Fairly good odds of getting new conversations, right? No. I got more than 60 conversations without any new conversation at all. The odds of that happening are abysmal. 1.5393079e-23 to be exact. It's this low, it should never happen. At all. So most likely a bug in the game. I was about to give up. With luck like that or the possibility of it just being a bug and impossible, I didn't think I could do it. There is a way around that, but no guide mentioned how to do that and I won't mention it either because f this game. If anyone needs this information and is currently playing it, feel free to ask. The Last of Us Part 2 - 3% There were a few sections on Classic mode that were quite frustrating...until I realized that if I wasn't so blind, there are health refills pretty much everywhere you would need them and you can even go back to get them after making it to the next checkpoint. Once I figured that out, it was a lot easier. Also while escaping in the prison level, instead of going down the stairs toward the front exit where you came in, you can jump out a hole in the wall on the second floor and make it to the street. Then just grab a car quick and drive off before the cops can chase you. Super easy. Then after finishing the story the second time (so fast when skipping cutscenes) it was just the collectible clean up which I did during a boring work meeting this morning. Yay multitasking. I'm taking a break from my list to play some random stuff and maybe I'll decide to use my last swap on something but not sure yet.
