That means I can add five more games since it's only 13 days into the challenge, if that's what I read right. 8

Popular Post freddie1989
So another productive enough week for me. Finished the first playthrough of Metro which I really enjoyed. They really took everything to the next level in Last Light. Finished off majority of the trophies I needed to during that one and cleaned up diary pages afterwards. Made a start on the next playthrough which will be following the moral points as I go for the alternate ending and knocking out the miscellaneous trophies that go hand in hand with that. Me and the better half have finished DLC 3 for Overcooked 2 and what a challenge that Hangry Horde are! The final horde kitchen is a real relationship test! It starts off feeling impossible with no coordination and we were demolished but slowly got better. Then we had in our grasp until the seasoned gamer here had a mare and served the wrong pizza to the apple at the end and messed it up. Thankfully for the atmosphere in our home we were able to get it done on the next run. Is an Overcooked 3 too much to ask for HAHA Keep the updates coming folks! Popular Post Heather342
Update #2 Hi everyone, hope you are all having a great week 😊 Not a huge amount for me to update challenge wise, just making progress through Rayman Origins. Now that I'm back home, I tend to play my Vita in short stints on my lunch break. I'm now at the third hub world and I've knocked out a few more miscellaneous trophies, including the piranha one which I was slightly worried about getting (the PS3 trophy guide recommended 2 players for this one, but not really possible on the Vita). Hopefully it won't take too long to complete the story mode stuff before I really have to knuckle down and perfect those speed runs. I have tried one already, and I failed miserably 😅 I need to make a start on my other games soon, but I've been a bit distracted playing Journey, Persona 3 Portable and also Catherine Full Body. I really enjoy running through the Babel stages, I played a lot of it on the PS3 a while back but Axis Mundi was broken on that version and could only be done in co-op. I'm determined to solo it on my Full Body playthrough, last night I got to 275 steps, and then a block fell down and trapped me behind the tower and ended my run. I was devastated, the target goal is 280....it was literally right there! 😭😭😭 Anyway, that's enough complaining from me. Happy hunting everyone! 😁 Trophy progress: - Rayman Origins -> 10 - 20% Pending games: - Tunic 0% - Strayed Lights 0% - Solar Ash 0% - Sea of Stars 0% - Eternights 0% Edited March 14 by Heather342

Well that's a stupid stream of consciousness, that happened - and that's me I guess.... So... essentially, watching @Redblaziken8 play Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for the very first time over last week, and the weekend made me think.... Hmm, I really ought to play another Metal Gear game, "It's been a while.... hasn't it" perfect time to use that Solidus quote...but yeah, last time I had a Metal Gear platinum, I think I had 125 platinum's.... so it'll be nice to get one with a gap of almost 300 between them so that's one of the games I'll probably be getting to sooner rather than later. The reason I subbed out Tchia though, was because whilst I very much want to play that game, I want to do it on my own terms, and rushing to play it because it was leaving Extra/Premium didn't really seem like the right call. I did do that with Haven though.... and I ended up loving it... so maybe you ought to ignore everything that I just said and I ought to be chased up to a windmill by everyone following along with this challenge with flaming torches and pitchforks.... okay that's oddly specific, and definitely the result of rewatching James Whale's Frankenstein this morning... but still All of the 2024 Spring Backlog Challenge crew.... Chasing me up a hill towards a windmill for my stupid statements Ahem...... In short.... Haven is a fantastic little game, it's really beautiful, plays buttery smooth, and has a whole lot of depth and nuance that I really didn't expect from it, but I'm very much glad that it possessed it. I really enjoyed my time with this, and I feel like even if you don't play it through Extra/Premium it's worth trying at a price you're comfortable with. I reckon those of us here who have partners would probably see a few bits of themselves in Kay and Yu I'd expect, which is always pretty nice when you recognise that sort of thing. I've waffled in a bit more detail about the games writing, and how good it is in a status update, so I can post that in a spoiler bubble if any of you did want to have a look at it! Spoiler wasn't entirely sure what to expect with Haven, I'd heard quite a few different things from several different people, but ultimately I did have a pretty great time with this one. There's a whole lot to like about it, whether that's the gorgeous art-style, the charming characters, or the interesting world in which they inhabit. What I'm essentially saying is.... there's a whole lot to like I guess as these are supposed to be quick thoughts (yes I know these always run fairly long, but still....) I think for now I'll more focus on one of the elements that really stood out to me, which was the writing. Haven is one of those excellently written games that almost catches you off guard with some of the thought that went into writing it's characters. The story isn't exactly reinventing the wheel or anything, but I do like the unique approach that was taken with it, and one that I will endeavour not to spoil. A slightly tricky part of creative writing in any form, is authenticity, whether that's the characters, the situations or the world they inhabit - all of which should feel authentic, they're all equally important. That really was something that stood out to me about Haven. Kay and Yu act like real people, and they act like real people in a relationship. They don't just spout dialogue to further the plot, both characters often stop to say something that would be meaningful to one or both of then, and I really appreciated that. It's very intelligently written, and both characters compliment each other in very interesting ways. Much like in a real relationship, you're going to have moments when the two of you are just talking utter nonsense, and just being goofy, but Haven also intersperses its character interactions with some very deep and insightful conversations between the two characters. I really liked how because they're the only two characters in the area, they both talk and act exactly as you would if you were the only ones around, and I thought that was very well done too. It's one of those odd examples of if this was a film it might feel intrusive, but somehow in video game form it really isn't. It's one of those games I'm looking forward to exploring more eventually in a review... you know, when I can fit that in Outside of the challenge, as @Redblaziken8 alluded to in her recent update, we did a lot of gaming together last week and the weekend as we both got pretty unwell from a nasty flu/cold kind of thing, so we ended up blasting through lots of couch co-op things whilst we were recovering from that. Before I started Haven I did make a little progress off challenge with Star Ocean: The Last Hope International... and by some I mean... one trophy, for doing 50 Bunny races.... oh well, only about 40 more to go.... then again one trophy in that behemoth is always pretty satisfying! So at some point this week I'll probably end up playing a good chunk more of Star Ocean. I'm honestly unsure what to pick next, I have lots of great options open to me, gamewise, so I'm thinking I'll either FINALLY get the platinum in BioShock 2 after nearly 13 years, or I do Metal Gear 1 and 2, or start The Last Guardian.... I'm happy to go with any of those 3 really, so I guess we'll see which one I go with!! As always, I'm enjoying reading all of your updates, and I'll catch you in the next one!!

I also got all of the affection trophies out of the way. Now I just need to work on getting all of the collectibles and seeing every room event. I'm not sure if there's actually more to collect/do or if it's just me, but this platinum feels more time consuming than the first Project DIVA game. Oh well, just gotta keep chipping away at it. I'll probably also try to get back to Rio Reincarnation between Project DIVA sessions so I can make progress on two games at once. Heck, I might throw a couple goes at Monster Monpiece in there to make it three games at once, who knows?
Popular Post Heather342
I know this technically isn't part of my spring backlog challenge, but after the heartbreak I went through yesterday I finally conquered Axis Mundi solo! 🥳 My rank for clearing the stage is pretty high too so I'm pleased with that. Popular Post StilRh
Hey loves. Hope you're had a good week. Since my last update I've managed to play a few games. Mainly drilling into Like a Dragon's business management minigame and getting through the campaign missions in Age of Wonders 4. Enjoying both of these imensely but it is slow going for trophies, lol. I've also played some Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on top, still loving it but I don't think I am very good at juggling all of the battle mechanics. Age of Wonders 4 20% > 30% Aliens Dark Descent 37% Balatro 2% Blasphemous 4% Cyberpunk (PS5 w/ Phantom Liberty, no loading PS4 saves or autopop) 0% Final Fantasy VII Rebirth 25% > 27% Necromunda: Hired Gun 18% Unicorn Overlord 11% Warhammer 40k: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters 12% > 18% Yakuza: Like a Dragon 20% > 21% On my next few days off I think I'm going to either knock out some more campaign missions in AOW4, clear a few chapters in FF7R or start playing Aliens Dark Descent again as I really want to see how the campaign ends. Have a nice week

Popular Post Whyfire
Hello, My first update: Tekken 8 - 09/03 The Last of Us Part II Remastered God of War Ragnarok Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Tekken 8 - Story was never a highlight in Tekken series imo, but it's gotten a lot better since previous installments. The new fighters are good and each one of the is a good choice. Trophy list is very simplistic which is about the same level of difficulty as previous game, if not even easier. Most of the trophies can be earned by simply playing the game naturally without paying too much attention to the list. There are some online trophies and you need to win a few matches but they can be achieved in less than 15 matches and no boosting is required. I used Nina as my main this time.
