@SnowxSakura That's a cool collection you have there.

Quick question, that enko HDMI converter you have there, does it work nicely? With which consoles you use it? I see yours is Component to HDMI.

I ask because I got an RCA to HDMI converter from the same manufacturer in order to play my old consoles on the big screen after reading some good comments and....it sucked. Like I know I'm upscaling and old game but it looks worse and runs slower as if I instead connected the console directly to the RCA ports of the TV without the converter.

Yeah it does, I have the component running from the A/V switcher box into the HDMI converter, so that I don't have to keep swapping cables over. I took a couple screen captures comparing regular composite, to upscaled HDMI. This is the best you can do without getting your retro console RGB modded, if it can support it.

@SnowxSakura The first game (which I cannot identify xD) looks pretty good on the converter and Megaman X looks a bit fuzzy but still better than what I got. I don't have a capture card but the results on my 42 inch LG LED TV weren't exactly good. Not sure if it looks way fuzzier because I'm trying to stretch the image over a larger area, maybe? Besides the fuzziness, the game also does run with a lot of input lag and I'm not talking about milliseconds, I'm talking about almost a full second.

Tried to use the converter on both the 720P and 1080P settings but the results were roughly the same. In the end, I opted to leave all my old consoles on an old 21 inch Sharp CRT TV. I really haven't tried on any other modern screen because the LG is the only one I have at the moment.

Mines a 46 inch Vizio HDTV. The only thing you really get out of the upscaler if you compare the top picture to the bottom picture for each game is a clearer image and better colors. I don't get any input lag on my setup, but it really depends on what you have it running through. I've heard a lot of switcher boxes and upscalers can cause input lag.

On your remote, you should be able to adjust the zoom level of the picture on your television, try going with the different options until you get a better picture.

Yeah, I noticed. What my upscaler does give me is a brighter image. Like, the image looks brighter without even adjusting the brightness setting on the TV. I tried running the console directly through the upscaler at the time, didn't install the A/V Switcher right away because I was just testing things at the moment. I have 2 of these 8-Port RCA Switchers and the enko Upscaler I used was this one.

Maybe I got a defective unit, I don't know... I may need to tinker with it a little more but I was thinking of doing that after getting a second LCD screen just to test if it was maybe the TV. Got so disappointed with the upscaler at the time that I just shelved it away the same day. Anyway, thanks for the help man. ?

Regarding the topic, I see everyone has a nice collection of things. I may post an image of what I have someday. My man cave is always under construction lol and the progress is extremely slow so I think I have some years ahead of me before I'm finally pleased with the results. Right now, it's just a mess. xD

It's a piece of crap too, it can only do 2D as a 32 bit console and it mostly had porn games on it, with a few really great games

Then why is it so huge?

Oh well, it makes an interesting conversation piece when people see your collection :)

Also do you have an N-Gage?  I tried to buy one off my friend at EB because she had 2 (Nokia gave all the store managers a free one when they came out) but she refused to sell it because (and I quote) she didn't want to get in trouble for selling off giveaways...mind you this was 2012 when I think Nokia would have been OK with her getting rid of it.

I've posted mine here.

Not just PS, that's all physical games across all platforms I have (that are not counterfeit copies of PS1 games from the early 2000's or burned DVD'S with PS2 games that I got from my cousin).

So yeah, not a lot 😅.

It's customary to start a thread like this by showing your own collection first.

Didnt want this thread to come off as me just wanting to show off my collection. Felt a little self serving. But thanks for the feedback

May I ask where you got that bookcase? I been looking for some but they never really 8 tiers, most are just 5-6 tiers, real annoying.

That is an IKEA Billy system with 2 extra shelves. Shelves sold separately.

My PS2, GameCube and Wii and GBA/DS games are all in storage due to lack of space. Hopefully I can get some more bookcases soon when I have the money.

I feel like I would have to rent these games from Mr Kitty. Does he accept cash?

Currently, no.

You know what they say - in modern Russia sanctions live under you. Or something.
