Lordguwa
platinum #628 Shady Part Of Me (ps4) completed in 1 day and 56 minutes platinum rarity 56.60% common platinum name: All The Others guide is helpful for collectibles as some are easily missed. i have a choice of 3 games in my drawer. i ended up choosing sleeping dogs definitive edition (EU) ps4 copy. going to complete the DLC portions first due to the fact that i could encounter a helpful but also damaging glitch with the gold skill tasks if i don't do the DLC in a certain order (1st offline, 2nd online). should be a normal enjoyable long plat. Popular Post Viper
#284 DiRT 5 DiRT Legend I usually write up long winded reviews but I really don't have much to say about this one. This is my first DiRT game so I have nothing to compare it to. Overall, I had a pretty easy time with this outside of Gymkhana's, which became easier to exploit later on. The most frustration set in with the third DLC introducing Time Trials. I literally have 1 trophy left to get in the 4th DLC which is being hindered because I have like 3 or 4 Time Trials left to beat and I just can't be bothered. This game really shows me why I don't love racing games as much as I used to....the over reliance on drifting. It's a staple of all racing games these days and it's a mechanic I've never grown to like. I bought a PS2 about a year or so ago now and one of the first games I replayed was Need for Speed: Most Wanted (a game that came out a year before The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drft)...one of my all time favorites. Drifting wasn't really a thing yet so the game relied on speed and tight cornering...and I can't stress enough how much I miss this aspect of arcade racers. There wasn't much to this game though...career is about as bare bones as it gets. It's just race after race with a small story going on in the background that pretty much comes off more like a feud between Troy Baker and Nolan North rather than the characters they were playing.

PixelBurrito
#7 Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy #8 Jak X: Combat Racing Two games I could never finish as a kid. This time around I'd call them both moderately easy. Working on Jak 2 now, definitely going to take longer

Popular Post Leon Castle
#233 Assassin's Creed Unity 15th Aug 2022 The semi-last "Classic" AC before the RPG trilogy(Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla). Unity still has it's bugs like Arno can't attack or throw a bomb and jumping to his death instead of doing a Leap of Faith, still did not run into that Nightmare Fuel glitch. Did bother to 100% the Progress Tracker even though you only need to clear one Murder Mystery and earn Data Bonuses in 3 different Helix Rifts. Spoiler Also it was fun using a Apple of Eden again.

Popular Post Redgrave
#253: The Whole World Went Away - Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition Pretty funny of a coincidence that I started this not long before Dead Island 2 finally got confirmed for real this time (until it goes back into development hell at the last minute but I didn't jinx it) ? But yeah, I guess this was technically the closest thing to a sequel for a while even though it was an expansion. I feel like compared to the first game it wasn't as good and it's hard to really say why since it has been a while since I played the first one but I definitely remember enjoying the first game a lot more. I think the thing that stuck out to me was how weird it felt traveling around the map and a lot of quests are searching for things in an area for something that isn't really obvious to find. I also don't know if it's because of the level scaling but a lot of enemies just felt really tanky. I did use my level 50 save file character so enemies scaled but it felt like they were a bit too strong at times. For the trophies it's one of those games from the PS3/Xbox 360 era where devs would have a mechanic that didn't really work the way you wanted it to or it just wasn't really all the great to use but they insisted on having trophies/achievements for doing them 100 times. Granted it was a lot simpler than the first game's trophy list and didn't have anything really RNG heavy or required character specific trophies. So yeah I think compared to the first game it's not as good but in a way I can't help but kind of like it anyway. Probably the biggest factor is the co-op which speaking of I would like to thank @Undead Wolf for playing with me to make the journey bearable. If Dead Island 2 winds up being good I look forward to playing that together ? And a special shoutout to the true unsung heroes of these games: dedicated players that go out of their way to join new players and give them modded weapons ? I honestly didn't expect there to be anyone playing this and willing to do that or at the very least I didn't think we would come across them especially so early in the game. But if it weren't for them I feel like the game would have been much more of a slog especially so while going for those trophies where you have to weaken enemies first before doing a specific finisher on them. So I definitely salute people willing to wander around in a pretty barren game willing to help randoms out like that.

Popular Post Jelloycat
Platinum # 106: Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town Not the strongest entry in the Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon series, but it was still a (mostly) fun experience. Having recently played the remake for Friends of Mineral Town, there are a lot more items in this game, and the special crops and such made things interesting. I think one of my biggest issues was with the town's people. With a few exceptions, none of them really stood out, and even as time passed I didn't find myself caring about most of them. They're just kind of... there. I think the lack of portraits is a big minus as well. Luckily none of the trophies are missable, but it did feel pretty grindy. All of the makers and constant need to clean up your farm can get kind of tedious. The food challenges were pretty annoying too, since getting a top quality dish is partially up to RNG.
