It was okay, not the best fighting game ever but is generally fun overall, however by the time you've finished doing all of the Arcade Mode playthroughs, the novelty starts to wear off and you're just glad to finish it by then. The only tough trophy to get was the This is Living one, however an OP character like Kratos makes this a lot easier.

I've held off playing this for game for sometime as I was awaiting the PS4 release before I play it, I've heard plenty of good things about it especially from some of my friends. It took a while for me to get into it. You really need to know the level layouts and enemy patterns to do well and have fun in this game because otherwise you are going to die A LOT! You could do a perfect run getting big combos and high points to then die on the final enemy. Thankfully the loading respawn is practically instant so it dying isn't all that bad most of the time. I was worried about the A+ all levels trophy at first but once you get the understanding of how the point system works( e.g you get more points for letting your enemy see you) the A+ isn't too bad, I only had trouble with 1-2 levels. The Carl mask works like a charm as his drill executions rack up loads of points. The mask system is very interesting in this game and it's great to try out different masks as they will all help you in some way ( or hinder you *cough Nigel the Bat cough*) The story in this game is pretty dull, I didn't really pay attention after so long as it just wasn't interesting at all. But that's due to the game being more about the gameplay then story. However the soundtrack to this game is probably one of the best I've ever heard, it's so catchy, my favorite is "Hydrogen" on level 3. If you haven't already you should definitely try this game as there is lots of fun to be had, even if it does get frustrating at times.

Enjoyed it way more than Virtue's Last reward. School Mode was the only thing I didn't like about the game.

i played through the game ages ago when it first came out and before i was into trophy hunting. i'm really glad i found 13-2 in a local game store because although (storywise) it's not as good as the first, i really enjoy the gameplay. i thought the plat would be easier! it's not that it's difficult, just time consuming, especially the one for the slots, ugh. i had my controller taped for about four hours bahah. it's way easier than the one for 13 (that i will never kill myself grinding for)

i'm tickled that it's the 13th platinum, totally unintentional! and now to rub it in my boyfriend's face that i got my platinum before he got his (he's working on one piece pirate warriors)

Average game at best, but didn't expect more from it to be honest. Easy plat, and a tedious one at that... I couldn't bring myself to play more than 2-3 arcade runs a day, just because it was so terribly boring. The game is unbalanced, and has nasty graphical glitches, neither of which have been fixed with patches, which only shows that not even the developers cared enough about this title.

Man did I enjoy this game. The soundtrack on this game is the best. It's not that hard but, you will die a lot due to not knowing the enemies path.

4/10 difficulty

The dogs and shotgun guys will own you. Always use doors and make enemies come after you. Carl and Zack are your best friends for A+ racking.

That being said I'm definitely looking forward for Hotline Miami 2.

#58: Advent of the Akiba God

 

 

I went in knowing that this was going to be a goofy game just from the stripping combat. The fact that they put a reason in the story as to why stripping is a mechanic in the game makes it more goofy, even if it makes partial sense. But, nonetheless, it is a Japanese title with a lot more dialogue than I anticipated. After going through the one heroine route that I wanted in the end, I skipped most of the dialogue for the other routes. When a game follows the same anime formula for character's and general plot/character relation, I already knew what was going on from just the visuals when skipping the dialogue (unfortunately, I would have liked to have went through every dialogue if I wasn't looking to return the game in under a week for store credit for Destiny). The English voice acting, though, did a VERY good job. Especially when it came to each heroine's love interest lines. I actually felt touched in those endings for each heroine.

 

Recommendation: Yes, if you like goofy Japanese material. Also, an easy Platinum if you're so inclined.

I'd recommend this game, if you enjoy NFL games.  If you're going for the trophies, you likely won't get the plat, unless you can actually play Madden and have a competent on Madden Ultimate Team.  I had to endure the scrubs who literally pay to win.  So I had enough and decided to do solo challenges and built my team so it can compete with others. Difficulty for me was around a 4-5/10 for getting the plat.  I just wasn't going to spend anymore money on it.  I already paid the extra $10 for the ultimate edition.  I wasn't going to spend $300-$500 just to have a spectacular team.  Now, I have all Madden games done once again.
