It's kind of an acknowledgement on their part of the hard work trophy hunters put into platinuming their game. Does it change anyone's life? No, but it is a nice bonus. I enjoyed the themes I unlocked for my PS3 from earning various trophies and, ultimately, platinuming Final Fantasy XIII. Just a nice, cool bonus. Wish devs would do more of those kinds of things. FYI - in order to receive the Platinum Theme you have to make sure that under settings - Communications Preferences - you have it selected where you accept emails and promotional emails from playstation.. it says something like that. http://www.thebitbag.com/horizon-zero-dawn-platinum-theme/230819 this is the article where I first heard about it a few days ago... I got the platinum Sunday morning March 19th at 11:03am.. So I figure I'll have the email with the platinum theme code in a few days or so.. hopefully anyways. as far as if there is a certain time limit I haven't heard anything.. Also.. If anyone watched those videos and did the quest or whatever for the HZD countdown that PS had going... I saw on the chat thing the other day that PS responded and said the codes for the avatar rewards would be sent out this week. I haven't gotten that email yet either. I blew up the chat on the actual website that we watched the videos on... it's like live playstation or something. they're doing a countdown for mlb the show right now but it doesn't have quest for the videos like HZD did. and I sent them a few tweets on twitter. It's 3/21 now.. It's been like damn near a month since the we were supposed to get them. we were supposed to get them in are email 7-10 after we did each quest. it's definitely been 25+ days waiting on these things. I'm going to it like a normal website on my computer. here's a screencap I just took of the screen I see.. I scrolled up the message from PS on the chat. So I just got on a PC (for the time being), and now I can see actual chat comments (like I use to). HOWEVER, I still can't scroll up (enough) to see that PS message or any other message from commenters in this photo. Edit: Got my avatars, im good.
