Popular Post Melanogaster1987
Game #5 of 8: The Crew My rating: Platinum/Gold/Gold - My favourite of the 5 games I have played so far. An open world racer that feels like a spiritual successor to both Fuel and Need for Speed: Most Wanted, two of my favourite PS3 titles. Loving the sheer number of types of races and challenges as well as the presence and diversity of the licensed cars and motorcycles. The living, breathing open world is great fun to explore, but I wish that it had been a bit bigger (it's not small by any means, just not as big as you might expect given that the game is supposed to feature the entire contiguous USA). Going on road trips with other players can be a joy, but the online social content can feel too in your face at times. --- Trophies earned in this game: 4 (4) for 60 points Total trophies earned in this event: 41 (2, 39) for 645 points Current completion rate: 59.30% [Down 3.53% since start of event; Down 0.71% as a result of this game]

Popular Post JoaoQuique
Game Nº 7 [Mugen Souls Z] - First Day Report As a person which played (and Plat'ed) Mugen Souls, I can say this game was well improved if compared with first one - graphics are cosiderably better, loading times are smaller and the gameplay itself received some new features (for instance, after some story-related events I was being able to make jumps on the map - you could not make any jumps in first Mugen Souls). Another thing that I can say is this game (probably) will be a lot easier to Plat' than first Mugen Souls, due to a single change: you no longer have limits on your change forming. Explaining for those which don't know this game, in Mugen Souls series, your main character is able to change own form into 8 different versions to make easier or even possible "peoning" foes (turning enemies into shampurus - gathering shampurus is a must on its series because they make your forms' charming levels, G-castle and Peon Ball/Ultimate Souls stronger, but in Mugen Souls you can change your form only an amount of times (depending on the media of charming levels of all your eight forms) while you do not return to your main base, while in Mugen Souls Z you can change your form as you want (the only restriction is in battle, where you can change your form once per turn). In other words, you can try "peoning" every single enemy without worries (actually, on start, it is almost impossible peoning bosses due to low charming levels, but in a few New Game+'s, even bosses should be "peoned" without worrying about form change limits... Today/Tomorrow plans: I will download and check free DLCs (they give strong weapons and armor), even considering that I will not be able to give power to them... I want to at least unlock Mugen Field before my last report. I will make a minor change on my KYC plans and play this game tomorrow to (so, Handball 16 will have one day less, but Handball 16 probably will not have "First Day Report" anyway...), so this game's last report will be send just in Tuesday. Playtime: 4 hours Trophies obtained: 3 from 50 (Completion at 4% - Rank E) Personal Completion: from 71,25% to 71,08%
Popular Post Hemiak
Well, I got absolutely no game time yesterday, but I did start another new game after Color Guardians so... Hem Game 4 1 hour played, 2/35, 2% Some of you may know what this is. Some may have heard of it but not know that much, and some of you are thinking. W.T.F? This game is made by the same people that brought us the smash hit Surgeon Simulator. It's been on my wishlist for a while so when it went on sale last month I had to pick it up. When you first boot up the game, and anytime you make a selection, it says I Am Loading.... The main menu looks like the front of a refrigerator, and once you choose to play you're shown a folder with a bunch of tabs that I assume are game modes. They are all named after different types of bread creations, bagels, baguette, other stuff. I'll get the actual names next time because I only went into story mode. Once you click story mode you are shown a weekly calendar, with every day but Monday locked, and that is where we begin. Story: there are two converging story lines in this deeply riveting and suspenseful thriller. One is the tale of a man wronged by his government. It's told in summaries made by the man's therapist. Each one has a snippet about the man's state of mind and things he said, then the therapist's deductions and advice given. The 2nd half of our story is a heartwarming tale of heroism and self discovery. It follows a lone, visionary slice of bread and his epic journey to become toast. Our tale begins where all great ones do... In the kitchen. On a lone table just outside the main kitchen sits a loaf of bread, some plates, a jar of jelly, and some salt and pepper shakers. BECOME TOAST flashes at the top of the screen, and our hero awakes. Bread 3 as I call him (because he's the third piece from the end.) starts by either rolling or flopping out of the loaf. Freely swiveling the camera shows us a world full of danger. We begin on a table, but the toaster is all the way on the other side of the room. By hitting the control stick in a direction, Bread 3 will mini hop along. He can also grab on to surfaces or objects, and has a grip meter that slowly depletes as long as he is grabbing something. Each of the four corners of bread is mapped to one or the L or R buttons. By hitting one or two you can cause the slice to flip(or flop) over, speeding up travel greatly. Our protagonist can also climb surfaces with well timed button presses and flips. It's kind of like how one of those sticky octopus toys you throw at the wall moves downwards, but in reverse. Still, the walls aren't close enough to grab, so my options are limited. I try to fling myself to the nearest wall, with negligible success. Finally I spot a skateboard just under the table. By dropping down I'm able to kick flip all the way to the kitchen island. (OK, so more like a bunch of baby nudges in the right direction, shhhh) After a Supreme test of will and fortitude, I surmount the island and am greeted with a scene from nightmare.... Ants are all over one side of the table. The toaster is across a vast gulf of empty floor space, with no handy skateboard to ease my journey. At this point I notice the fridge is conveniently placed next to the counter, so I skirt the ants, knocking over a Jenga game set, and scale the ice box. Unfortunately the thing needs a tune up, because the slightest pull on the doors causes them to begin opening, making the process much more risky. I drop back onto the counter on the other side of the fridge and horror of horrors, there is a sink with dirty water in it. I dangle off the edge of the counter and make my way safely past the sink before being greeted with a short hop to the stove/oven, which gives me an idea. After telling YOLO!!! Bread 3 makes the leap safely. By grabbing the stove dial I'm able to turn on the burner and nestle down to toast one side of Bread 3. As the toast percent rises my heart beats faster. I time my movement and flip just as the meter hits 99%, perfect. I nudge back over the burner and perfectly toast the other side, earning me an A rank.... -------- Needless to say this was not taken from my first run. I completed it once before with a D rank, and failed or restarted probably a dozen times. You have an edibility rating that decreases if you come in contact with anything bad. The floor, moldy walls, water, ants, salt or pepper. Literally anything in the levels can screw you up. I spent another 20 minutes shooting for A+ before I decided to move on. As the level loads I get another peek into the mysterious man's life. He went to his therapist ranting about a break in at his house. Apparently someone broke in and trashed his kitchen. He blames. The council who he has been feuding with already. Nothing appeared stolen, but a single slice of toast was left at the scene. He decided to move everything out of the kitchen and into the living room. The therapist remarks that he is becoming increasingly paranoid and decides to require daily meetings with the man. The 2nd level follows bread 3 as he navigates the living room. The only thing I could find to toast myself here was the radiator, but as a whole this level was quite a bit easier than the kitchen. Coffee table - > couch, wall, cabinet, door, other couch, electric radiator. I think I was able to get a B ranking on my 2nd or 3rd try. The radiator is kind of a pain in the ass to cook on amazingly enough. Maybe I could short out the TV and do it that way At that point it was time for sleep. I'll chime in tomorrow with more of the adventures of Bread 3.

Popular Post Kevvik
Game #8: 101 Ways to Die Initial impressions Time played: ~4.5 hrs 101 Ways to Die is a puzzle game. You have been brought in to a hidden laboratory by a mad scientist in order to replicate his life's work of finding the 101 ways to kill a man. With your supply of Splatts (humanoid creatures who walk through your trap-laden puzzle settings) and a specific supply of traps, you attempt to meet the objectives of each puzzle (kill all Splatts, kill a Splatt with X or combo of X-Y-Z) and get up to 3 stars depending on your level of success. You also have the book of 101 Ways to Die which you slowly fill with different combinations. Gameplay involves a planning phase where you can observe what is laid out and how to set your traps within that layout to kill your Splatts before they reach the exit of the level. You then start them moving (ala Lemmings) and hope your plan works. There are also devices which you can control during the execution phase such as cannons and stun mines that you want to go off at specific times. Depending on how things play out, you can restart or reset and run through again with different positioning or timing to try for 3 stars on the level. I had a new type of Splatt introduced in the medium difficulty levels, the Tank, who takes more damage to kill but moves slower. Graphics are good and you can zoom in/out as you need to. It's not quite Lemmings charming (Splatts looking somewhere between a zombie and Frankenstein) but it's entertaining to watch your carefully laid out plan take out the Splatts (or not as is the case often early on). Trophies are based on completion of levels or certain objectives as well as numbers of kills or specific types of kills (using spikes, boulders, lava). Some are easy, others will take more work or grinding kills. Killing Splatts is fun and getting the timing right or having the Splatt get blown the right direction can be tricky, especially the cannons but I'm still enjoying myself. I've cleared the tutorial, the easy and the medium difficulty levels so far and expect the hard levels to put up a good challenge. I've made mistakes and failed some because of poor placement or timing but with practice you can figure out where you went wrong. You do need to watch your execution carefully though to be able to get it just right for the 3 stars which will take multiple times through each level. It took me an hour and a half to get through the beginner levels, 3 hours for the medium and I expect my time usage to continue to grow for each of the remaining two sections. I worked at each level until I got the 3 star rating so that the patterns for each level were still fresh. I'm taking breaks in between difficulties just because I want to keep enjoying this and not binge my way through. Rating so far: 7/10 Trophies: 16/31, 34% for D ranking

Haha, well, you were the one that requested I play it. I knew it was short, so I probably would have picked something a bit longer, myself. Managed to wrap it up already. Final Review- Headlander This game is kind of a mixed bag for me. I enjoyed some parts of it, but others not so much. It's a DoubleFine/Adult Swim production, so you can expect a lot of jokes throughout. At one point, the game was running in slowmotion, while you were tasked with destroying a bunch of enemies, and a song started playing throughout. That part was great. But some of the backtracking, and segments at the end were annoying. The final boss fight was a pain, along with this stupid minigame, requiring you to shoot colored objects in the order that was shown. Many, many failures at that, because aiming at them isn't easy. At least for me, it wasn't.. As you progress, you are able to buy and upgrade abilities with points you gain. Things like a shield, that can reflect enemy bullets and help you get past lasers. An overcharge boost, which lets you damage enemies with your head, by charging at them. And a way to set up robots to continue firing after you leave their bodies. There are fast travel stations, that make backtracking a bit less of a chore. And little cleaning robots, that can enter colored small doors. You can shoot dust out of their... backside, but I'm not sure if that accomplishes anything other than amusement. Lol. Did I mention the army of evil Mappies, yet? That was funny. Overall, it was a fairly enjoyable game. I'd probably put it somewhere between a and a , though, with the negatives factored in. Performancewise, it seemed to have some slow down, crashed once, and at one point told me the save couldn't be loaded.. Thankfully, it did upon retrying, 'cause that was during my postgame cleanup, and I certainly didn't want to play through it all again. :/ Time played: 8-9 hours. Trophy progress: 29/31 for 98% and an A rank. Did it lower my completion? No.
Popular Post DamagingRob
Bonus game #4- Roundabout Oh, Lord.. This is the game I hinted I'd be playing, with Ultra Rares and a completely glitched and unobtainable trophy. I may die from laughter, with this one. You play as Georgio Manos, the world's first rotating limousine driver. Your limousine is constantly rotating, and hitting things like walls and cars, will break your combo/cause damage to the limo. A certain number of hits and it will explode, placing you back at your last checkpoint. Running over pedestrians adds to your combo, and leaves a bloody mess on the road. In the last mission I played, I gained the ability to make my limo jump. At the start and end of missions, you get to watch cutscenes. These are presented in live action form, with real life people. The acting isn't that good, but they're so silly, it's hard not to be amused. I died from the sports coach, who had to teach soccer. "I have to teach soccer? It's like this isn't America, anymore." Or something like that.. This game probably wins the award for weirdest thing I've bought this year. But it was soooo worth the $2 it cost. Fun to play, and most likely difficult to master. Time played: Less than an hour. Trophy progress: 1/19 for 5% and an E rank.
Popular Post vin_rob
Oke, I'm really late with reviews this time.. busy at work and coming home just wanting to play.. But I'm going to really start writing those! sorry guys and galls! Game #2: Valkyria Revolution Day 6-10 I’ve played Valkyria Chronicles on the ps3 and the ps4 remaster with the trophy’s got it platina =D so I was really hyped about this game, and also glad this was out just intime for the event! I’ve been playing this game for about 5 days were some busy days but still. The game looks cool had the same but prettier. The gameplay on the other hand is totally different, still not 100% sure if it’s a good thing or not. The game is really story based, and with this I mean that in the first hour of the game, I believe I had around the 5 to 10 min of gameplay. After a while, you can do “free” missions, but once you done them once or twice it’s probably getting old real quick. So now on to the story. So not finished the story line yet.. until now it’s actually enjoyable towards even being good. After a while the story just pulled me in. Don’t worry not going to spoil anything. They changed the gameplay as I mentioned not sure if it was good to change it, since I really enjoyed the old style. I don’t want to say that the new style is crap. It’s good, you can still do some sneaky attacks with guns. For example line em up real good and kill 2 / 3 or more with 1 magazine. ast day. Going to enjoy this game with some small breaks in between. Final trophies 9 / 28 Percentage 22% next game will be Persona 5 for the ps4
Popular Post vin_rob
Game #3: Persona 5 Day 11-16 So I’ve platind Persona 4 and Persona dancing all night so I have a ‘bit’ of experience with this series.. I’ve played this game over the course of 6 days.. I can say a lot of things I guess.. But still the fact is I liked this game when it started and I still do. This game is definitely on the top 5 of games I’ve played this year. So without spoiling too much, you the protagonist had some trouble. Because of that your parents asked if you could stay with this guy after getting admitted in a school in that area. So as soon as the game starts random stuff starts to happen to you. You find out friends or classmates are in trouble so you want to help them.. So after going to school you are going inside dungeons (palaces) to fix their problems by fixing people’s hearts. And no this isn’t kingdom hearts Definitely going to finish this game preferably sooner than later. Final trophies 7 / 49 Percentage 10 next game will be Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious journey for the ps4
Popular Post vin_rob
BonusGame #1: Flower Day 1-15 So I decided I’d add two games on some sort of bonus games that I would be playing for 15 days in between some stuff. First game is Flower I played this on ps4. But this game is actually really pretty not sure what I expected when I started it. Ok so you are a flower petal where you have to fly over / around other flowers and collect petal from them. So after a while you are a big cloud of flower petals. If you complete an flower area the entire area will be fully grown no more bad spots just like a nice big garden. But the gameplay was something else I really needed to get used to it. Moving the controller around to move the petal in a certain way. Especially when you have to move through something and you can’t hit the sides.. But yeah after a while I think it grows on you and you do it more naturally. I’ll eventually come back to this game when I feel like it Final trophies 10 / 14 Percentage 47% I´ll try and do the review of the previous game tomorrow back to work for now =) Edited July 24, 2017 by vin_rob
Popular Post Edunstar84
STAR OCEAN: INTEGRITY & FAITHLESSNESS Game #4 Final Review Playtime: 13 hours Trophies: 5/41 Review: 5/10 "Bare bones" is the word I think of when I'm playing this game. It feels just so skeletal. It took me a few days to figure out why. Well, it has to be that there aren't any animation cutscenes. Instead you have these other cutscenes, where the characters just talk. You can walk around and get different angles, but then you're stopped by a red line. You don't even know who's talking either. I wouldn't know how it explain it any other way. It's a bit weird, and quite sad too, because it's my favorite part of playing JRPGs. It also just seems to be just "there". So much potential wasted. Very beautiful graphics, and the story's pretty thin, too. Technically, I should be really into the story, but since I plan to plat it, I had to do some of those battle trophies Battle system is fun but the camera angles in a weird way, and I only just now figured out how to take advantage of the "rock, paper, scissors" system. Don't use guard...simples! The one thing that's going for it - and because of its disadvantages - is that it's a great intro into the series. I would definitely recommend playing this before SO4. Just to have a little preview of what type of game it is: battle trophies! Though SO4's plot/story is better (though I have yet to finish it). In other words, for the plat: SO5; for the story: SO4.
Popular Post crimsonidol38
Game 3, Day 6 to 13: Zero Escape: The Nonary Games (PS Vita) Previous posts: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 to 5 A big hooray for procrastination. Instead of spending the last few days in front of the PS4 and (hopefully) enjoying HLD, I finished up Virtue's Last Reward and obtained the plat for the Nonary Games-collection. I spend a total of 25 hours in VLR (from 16th to 23th July) and what can I say? I now know again why I was so fascinated by the game once, but the negative points still stand true. After having a rather slow start with all the story paths related to the Lounge the game started to get a bit better with all stories after the Infirmary. But the best are the story-path that are locked behind the Crew Quarters. The main reason why that's the case is the fact that this is the story-arc where the main character starts to realize that he can do some sort of time travel and there are a few "WTF? Why did this change?"-moments Still I have to admit that the true ending and the few chapters beforehand are just plain confusing due to the fact that it heavily relates on this feature and after reading some parts of it I felt like "yeah, whatever ". Stories related to time travel can end up rather complicated and somehow it did for VLR. I enjoy the more simple structure of a Steins;Gate TBH. I also have to say that I felt rather unsatisfied with many of the other endings, mainly when it came to the fact that someone was able to escape this game for life and death (why was (s)he stopped but not him/her?!?) For now I'm eager to play the final installment of the Zero Escape-trilogy, but I somehow have the feeling that it will even more give me the feeling that I don't really care for the ending. At least now I have a free mind to focus on HLD. This time for real. Stats: Rating: ( for 999, for VLR)Total playing time: ~37 hours (12 for 999, 25 for VLR)Trophies earned: 38 / 38Completion rate: 100% Rank: SDid the game lower my completion? Popular Post Lars
Game 7: Mafia 3 I thought i played this game for a significant amount of time. But when i look at the trophy list i see that i didn't even get the first story related trophy. I've done the mission where i have to kill a guy in the bayou. That took me a long time because i died quite often. I'm not that good yet because aiming is a bit difficult. The aiming cross is bigger then the actual target so accurate aiming is difficult. So far i've enjoyed the small part that i've played. The biggest complain that this game got was repetitiveness but i can't judge that yet. The story so far is very interesting. you play as Lincoln, a Vietnam veteran who returns back to the United States where he meets his friend Sammy, who has some problems with the local Haitians . At least that is what i think the story is so far. I've also discovered that Sammy and therefore Lincoln as well has a high debt with one of the big maffia bosses. So i know the rest of the story will be very cool. The world looks good and alive. Lots of stuff going on, unfortunately most of this is very negative towards my character because the game plays in an era in which racism was normal and the differences between white and black was very big. And in this game that is no different, it makes the game realistic but it is also sad that this was once normal. Although for some people it unfortunately still is. Gameplay so far feels good, car handling is decent but of course because the cars you drive in this game are all old American muscle cars the handling will always be bad because those cars handle not so well and have the turning circle the size of Germany. Shooting is fun but like said aiming could be improved. Graphics look good. So far that is 6 out of 7 in games that i liked from this event. I'm now playing Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare and it looks thats going to be 7 out of 8

I know some, but not all. Fly Like an Eagle better be a Space Jam reference. I miss MJ. The Bulls have fallen on very hard times since his departure. Final Review- Roundabout I think I've done all I'm gonna do in this one. The remaining trophies just hardly seem worth the effort. One's glitched. One requires playing through every story mission in one continuous run, without hitting anything blowing up. The probability of me being able to even do that, is probably slim to none. It doesn't help the final mission throws you a curveball, and changes the control scheme to something really... odd. And the last requires playing a nonstop, 8 hour driving mission. Noooo, thank you. Lol. But damn, was this game a lot of fun. Besides story missions, there are a number of side missions you can do. With things like bouncing a soccer ball on top of your limo, dodging cars falling from the sky, a demolition derby(where you want to try and lure cop cars into ones driving around in a circle, 'cause you still blow up after 5 hits, which will end the challenge), and more. As you progress, you obtain new powerups to help you get through missions. There's one that lets your limo drive on water and dive under. One that lets you shoot safety cones at pedestrians. Another that lets you know if there is a collectible nearby. One that slows down time. And probably the best one, one that lets you temporarily shrink your limo, making it easier to avoid obstacles. There are a number of extras you can activate, before starting the game, as well. You can turn off the blood, give pedestrians giant heads, change the game's appearance, make your limo able to die in a single hit, and more. Money can be spent on various limo appearance upgrades, like paint colors and an object on top of it. You make money by buying properties, after you get enough from missions. These properties then generate revenue every so often. Unfortunately, you have to actually go to the property to collect the money.. Even in free roam, it's not the easiest world to navigate. :/ This game was wacky. But a ton of fun. Definitely gets a from me. Time played: 7-8 hours, maybe? Trophy progress: 16/19 for 80% and an A rank. Did it lower my completion? Yes. But not by much. Only 0.1%, and I got a handful of Ultra Rares out of it. Worth taking the hit! Popular Post JoaoQuique
Note: I'm posting game 8's expeciations before had 'game 7' finished for my own convenience - actually I will start to play game listed below only Tuesday onwards... Game Nº 8 [Handball 16] - Expectations What's about? As its title says, it is an handball game... My expectations: Actually, I've already had played Vita version for "Vita's 5th Anniversary event" - that game allows you to use some "tricks" to make this game easier, but lots of things on that game don't make much sense, and Vita version glitches a lot!! (I'd needed "de-freeze" my Vita every 3~6 matches...) Since I've decided to make a guide for this game, I put this game on my list to collect some information to put on my guide. I also wanna see if PS3 version is so glitched as Vita version... My gaming plan: I will follow an already planned strategy for my guide (and probably I will try at least summarize my guide while playing this game). Resuming, my planned roadmap will be put as "getting used to handball" >> first season on Career >> second season onwards >> clean up. Obviously, I will not complete this game (neither its guide) while KYC... Which grade do I think I will give to this game? Popular Post Hemiak
Hem Game 4, Day 2 3 hrs played, 8/35, 14% Mr. Murton is distraught about another break in at his house, though this time only the living room was disturbed. He blames the council and claims that the intruder is leaving a single piece of toasted bread behind at the scene, perhaps to taunt him. Then he has a thought, and leaves the session early. The therapist is becoming increasingly worried about Mr. Murton's increasingly paranoid delusions. He theorizes that Mr. M is just now coming to realize that his house has always been a bit of a disaster, and is blaming others for his personal lack of organization. Bread 3 awakes to realize he has been left in the bedroom, behind a large photograph. After knocking that down and looking around, the only available source of heat seems to be an iron on the other side of the room. My choices involve jumping to the bed, them a book shelf, and making my way across a moldy wall. (no thanks.) Or I can use the window sills and shelves to navigate the room and drop down to the ironing board or desk. After many tries I'm able to drop straight from the high shelf onto the ironing board and use the iron relatively easily to toast the bread. Somewhere along the line my edibility dropped, but my deliciousness was 500, so I got a C rank. Next Mr. Murton becomes convinced the bread itself is coming to life and rampaging through his house. He realized that each time the path of destruction leads directly from the loaf, to where the toast is found. He decides to do one more experiment and leaves in relatively good spirits. Obviously the therapist is even more convinced he's delusional, and might just be approaching a complete reality break. The bread next awakes in a cabinet... dunh Dunh DUUUNNNNNH!!!!!! in the bathroom. There is a sink half filled with water so B3 has to swing out over the bathroom using the cabinet door, then fling himself to the counter. More window sills, shelves, and cabinets get me over to the bathtub. Someone had left a couple inches of soapy dirty water in the tub for some reason, perhaps as a devious trap. There is mold on the wall next to the tub, and water droplets along the rim. The only option is to drop down and work my way around the inside rim of the tub, which is actually clean. With grip strength flagging I flop out of the tub midway down, in a dry spot. I flip and flip the rest of the way to the edge of the tub, then climb up on the counter. At this point I have two options, a shady looking old school radiator I would need to jump or climb to, with mold in the way, or a hairdryer. After fiddling with the dryer a bit I get it turned on, but it's facing the wall. The blasted thing is just too heavy to move, but as I'm messing with it I realize the intake on the back of the hairdryer is overheating and I can use that to toast myself. A bit of fiddling and flopping around later, I Am Toast. D rank. Mr. Murton is now convinced his bread is the culprit, and the enormity of the situation hits him. He becomes terrified that it is after some nefarious goal, and decides to banish the loaf to the garage. His therapist attempts to calm him down and just advises him to toss the loaf completely if it's that scary to him. He can always get another one later. And that is where I left story mode. I checked out the other game modes, they are: Bagel race, Rampage, Cheese Hunt, Zero G, and Free Roam. Bagel Race follows the exploits of B3's cousin Bage-AL (short foe Allison). AL has always dreamed of becoming the world's fastest baked good. She had worked tirelessly to perfect her technique, and hone her skills. It's now time to out her lightning reflexes to the test. 3, 2, 1, Go she hears, and odd she speeds along the top of a cabinet on the kitchen. There are cardboard platforms spanning the distance, above a surely fatal fall to the linoleum below. She flies through the first glowing yellow plate checkpoint and corrects course foe the next one. Making a sharp left turn just before the next checkpoint sends her shooting just past a box, and odd into space. Thankfully her aim is true and she lands on some plates on the counter, bouncing off them and across the half full sink. Clipping another checkpoint she shoots across another cardboard plank, through yet another CP. She expertly drifts into a turn and drops off the counter through another CP. On the floor she is greeted with her first boost planks, hitting them gives her the speed to shoot up a ramp and crest the island without slowing down too much. With the end in sight she brakes and throws her whole body into a left hand turn to shoot past the Jenga blocks and a fruit bowl. She immediately corrects to the right, flies through the final CP, up a speed boost ramp and into open air, where she flies through the end beam of light. Her dream of an A++ rank fulfilled, she is finally able to rest, knowing that she is the fastest bagel alive. The bagel races are actually pretty fun, and the first two are way easier than anything else so far. The third took far too many tries because of a climbing section in the middle. Honestly, if you thought climbing as a piece of wholemeal toast was tricky, try it as a bagel. The bagel only has two point of contact, and likes to spin and twist instead of doing a straight flop up the wall. I played the first three races, managing A++ in all three eventually, though the third one took me waaaaaaaaay longer than the first two. Rampage follows the trials and tribulations of B3's adopted brother Billy(club) the baguette. He's been adopted by a good family, but knowing that his mother and father gave him up as a small dough ball has left emotional scars. He acts out for attention, even though his adopted family dotes on him already. Billy decides the only way to truly get his frustrations out is to go on a rampage, breaking as much stuff as possible in 2 minutes. He even scores himself based on the amount of damage and whether he can keep his combo alive. Like his adopted cousin Al, Billy has only two points two of contact with the world around him. Not being round like her, he flips and flops a lot, and can generate quite a bit of force on his down swing. The main goal of these levels is to keep your combo up. Anytime you fully break an object it rises by one, and persists for several seconds. The best I was able to do after several tries was a C rank. Tonight I'll try to finish up the main story and try out the final two modes. One thing to note is that all of these guys are incredibly dense. Seriously, when a piece a bread flips over and can break a plate or a jelly jar you might want to look into quality control. Also, my kids think this game is hilarious and now want to play this instead of continuing with Abzu.
Popular Post voodoo_eyes
Game #8 - Day #3 Managed to get some decent progress done in this game and am already at the final third. Also managed to get a big chunk of the collectibles out of the way (gold bolts, cards and weapons) I'm still going to watch the movie sometime this week, just to see how that fits in to this. Visuals The game looks beautiful in a way that a real remake of an older game should look like instead of just slapping the letters HD onto it. The character models, enemies environment look fantastic. Even the cutscenes are great. Sound To be honest, if there's any music I didn't notice it. The voices are pretty good, ut the sound effects could have been enhanced a bit. Gameplay So I played the vita version of the original, which had it's fair share of camera issues. In this one it was mostly without problems, and would only jerk around on a few occasions. The game runs smoothly, It's still fun to just go around smashing all the crates and see them explode into a firework of bolts. The weapons have a decent enough variation to them and if you destroy/kill everything you see, it doesn't take excessively long to acquire them from the vending stations. The hoverboard races, although still a pain in the ass for beating the gold time are way better this time around. The board just seems to control a lot better compared to the original There's one thing I'M not a fan of though, which are the door puzzles and the clank sections. The latter are just boring and the puzzles are not something I believe these sort of games need. Other than that I really don't have any complaints and had a lot of fun with it. Not sure if it's better than Into the Nexus, but it's at least on par. Popular Post Myu
Day 24 - Adventures of Mana Time played : 6 hours Trophies obtained : 11/37 Completion % : 15% Rank : D With FF Type-0 out of the picture, I had to find a game to replace it and here it is : Adventures of Mana. It's a very old-school RPG and it reminds me of Zelda : A Link to the Past. The story is simple and gives the hero an excuse to go out and explore the world. Basically, you have to bring the Princess from Point A to Point B, she gets kidnapped, you get her back, she gets hypnotized, you have to save her, etc, etc. NPCs will accompany you from time to time. They are not very useful (except for the Chocobo, and the princess who can heal you). The one with the harp can change the background music if you talk to him but you're pretty much on your own if it's boss-fight time. I liked playing this game, it was a nice change of pace. I don't think it's that long though. After more than 6 hours of playtime, I think I may have already seen about 2/3 of the game. Current completion rate : 82.68% (-4.68% since the beginning of the event).
Popular Post MarkusT1992
Game #8: Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits (Day 3) Yesterday I only played about 30 minutes of this. After getting the co-op trophy in Saints Row Gat out of Hell out af the way I wanted to play that a bit. But today I played a bit more to at least reach the 3 hours on this game. I left the game with Lloyd going to the mine to save the workers. We can't go through the main gate so we need another way out of town. It took me a while to figuer out what I was supposed to do but I eventually opened the castle ruins door and could follow the other soldiers. On our way to the mines we meat another person, who's coming along. Arriving at the mines, Paulette got attacked by some Drakyr, a race of the Deimos. Deimos appear to have different races like humans do with Europeans, Asians or Americans. We help to defend Paulette and are left back while Lloyd and Paulette leaf for the town. On the way back to town we meet them again. They fought two Deimos and a third one run away. It seems that Lloyd got wounded badly and he might be dead but I'm not quite sure. It wasn't mentioned. After that we change characters. Our new character is called Darc and is a Deimos. A Half-Deimos to be exact. In the cutsceen explaining what happened Darc's father and Khargs mother were fleeing from other Deimos, holding two babies. The probably are Darc and Kharg. A few years later Darc's father dies and leaves Darc alone, which is "adopted" by a weired Deimos. You begin your journey as Darc by going to tow to by something for your master. So you go to town, learn a few things about the race living there and beat bad guys. You also make friends with a girl not liking you first. That's were I left again. I guess that Kharg and Darc will unite Humans and Deimos eventually. The both have a strange sign an their arms. That means they are definetly linked to each other in some way, probably being siblings. That would explain why Khargs mother didn't want Kharg to fight the Deimos. She probably don't want Kharg to find out about this brother. This games feels old, which is natural given it's a 2004 PS2 game. Despite it's age it looks quite good. I guess I give a rating for this game. You don't know what to do if you didn't play for a long time because there's no quest log. Each RPG should have a questlog. Popular Post Kevvik
Game #8: 101 Ways to Die Day 3 Impressions Time played: ~8.75 hrs So I have finished the hard puzzles. Definitely trickier than the medium level puzzles. A few of the 3 star ratings I got felt a bit like luck, very minor tweaking of the positions of some traps as my boulders would just miss my Splatts or switches would just miss being touched before the Splatts would run from my oncoming boulders (a neat and really annoying reaction) or manage to get out of the way. Also a new addition of fast Splatts (with running shoes) to play havoc when you are trying to time things just right. Took me a little over 4 hrs to get the 13 levels just right for 3 stars each and that was with getting a couple of them pretty quickly. Still, I like how the challenge is increasing. One set of trap rooms left, On the whole, this is a very cool twist on the usual puzzle games and getting those 3 star ratings feels very satisfying. A really good little puzzler that you could binge on or putter away at your own pace. Rating: 7.5/10 Trophies: 22/31, 54% for C rank Completion rate: 78.13% (-2.08%) Next up: Tomorrow is a write off, grad day for my students. Otherwise going to start either Dust: An Elysian Tail or Danganronpa: Ultra Despair Girls the day after. Also still hoping to get the last trophy on 2064: Read Only Memories but can't seem to do this freaking happy plant trophy. If anyone has any input about how much I need to talk to this plant, it would be appreciated.
Popular Post ItsMeMartyy
Game #14 - Hitman GO Definitive Edition Day: 23 / 31 Time Played: 5 hours Graphics: I don't think anyone expects this game to have amazing graphics, being cross on the vita as well. That being said this game has a unique artstyle and it works well with the puzzle style game. It's like an interactive board game and I liked that aspect quite a bit. The areas are inspired by different Hitman games and its all pretty unique. Although not groundbreaking in anyway the art style and graphics meet the needs of the gameplay quite well. Sound: Not a whole lot of sound going on but what is here works fine. Nothing that stood out as really good or really bad here I'd say just average, what you'd expect is there it's not meant to be groundbreaking. Gameplay: If you like puzzle games you'll find something you enjoy here. This game is far from straightforward and its actually pretty intricate once you get into it. I went for the platinum right away and i found myself having to use a guide for some of the optional objectives of some missions. If you want a challenge you can find it here as well, this game will make your mind run on all cylinders and if you can pass a hard level without a guide it will make you feel smart. Clever game mechanics and interesting levels make for an enjoyable experience. Fun Factor: Quite a fun game found myself enjoying the 5 hours it took me to plat it. Like I mentioned earlier it is rewarding and fun to finally pass a level after a bit of struggle. Closing Thoughts: While its not the most content for its 10$ price tag or whatever it is, if you enjoy puzzle games on Vita or PS4 you'll like this game. Rating:7.5/10 Game Competition: 100% ( 1 , 9 , 3 ,4 )
Popular Post dmland12
Game #8: God of War III Remastered Game Progress: 29/35 Trophies (70%) Completion: 89.18% (-0.27%, -5.68% from start) Probably everyone already knows what the God of War series is all about, so I'll try to keep this one short. Action. Bloody gore. Everyone's a terrible person or god or demi-god. OK, maybe I'll go on a little longer than that. The last game from this series I had played was the original on PS2 a long time ago, but the third installment didn't change too much... it still feels like the original just with more weapons and better graphics. I'm not complaining as I enjoyed both games. I started out on Titan (Hard) and found it was a pretty good challenge in places. Just when you start feeling like things might be getting easier, they take a nasty turn instead. Thankfully there are checkpoints all over the place, and once you've seen the enemies attack patterns as well as the general setup, it's not too bad. I didn't quite have the time to complete the game, but I'm close. Here's some combat from the 2nd half of the game, including a nice feature that wasn't in the first game (as far as I can remember): being able to climb on to some enemies and attack others with them. It's pretty neat. Closing thoughts: Very solid action game if you don't mind that everyone including the protagonist is a morally wretched person/god. Nothing too groundbreaking compared to the original, but some nice incremental progress nonetheless. My Rating: A-
