YROSHIKU
Just watched the latest episode from Dorohedoro and man I gotta admit that despite of not being a huge fan of animation I really enjoy the show ?! It have a lot of fun characters and the setting is pretty interesting plus I love the fact that Caiman shares the voice actor of Onizuka from GTO ?. ShonenCat
Sailor Moon (episodes 1-23) Hard to call myself an otaku if I haven’t actually sat down to watch Sailor Moon in a serious manner, so here I am trying to change that. However, I think I sat through all I can take. The show is a fun, happy time.. but it’s too gosh darn repetitive. I’ve never been a fan of anime that refuses to carry a conflict into the next episode... kind of like modern Pokémon. Maybe it’s still too early in the series, but nothing is changing fast. Each episode chooses a gimmick and plays the same number of tropes every time. For example, this episode is about music, now let’s make Usagi run into Mamoru and get into an argument, monster appears, transformation, throw tiara, rinse & repeat. I know this how magical girl series usually work, so for now I’m due for something more engaging. EDIT: I’ve decided to stick with this one for a while. Stopping in the middle of the original series wouldn’t be very fair. I’ll keep watching until there is a comfortable conclusion ? MrGarland
Ep 12 And so i've finally managed to finish this. It was really great. Easily one of my favorite anime series, as well one of my top 10 anime. Next up, the movie. After that, you probably know what comes then, right? I'm excited about both of them. Masamune
Assassins Pride (complete, enjoyment: 3.5/5) Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! (complete, enjoyment: 4/5) The Rising of the Shield Hero (complete, enjoyment: 5/5) The best out of those was easily Shield Hero, honestly I had my doubts about it in the beginning, but it turned out to be pretty great. I'm really looking forward to the next season for this one. Others I caught up on were: A Certain Scientific Railgun T (episode 4), Black Clover (episode 119), BOFURI (episode 4), Hatena Illusion (episode 4), Infinite Dendrogram (episode 4), My Hero Academia 4 (episode 16), Plunderer (episode 6), Radiant 2nd Season (episode 17), Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun (episode 9). There's also one other I recently started too... Interspecies Reviewers (episodes 1-2) Yeah, I couldn't help it... I caved & had to see what all the fuss was about (one of the few things I'm watching subbed). ? Only 2 episodes in, but just those were pretty damn funny, so I'll probably be continuing it. ?

Popular Post Honor_Hand
It's been a long time since I last contributed to this topic, but hey, this what I've watched as of lately. Fate/Zero (25 Episodes - 2011-2012) Enjoyment Score: 8.5 So, my first actual legit introduction into the Fate franchise. I mean, I had already watched the spin-off, Fate/kaleid, with its magical lolis (which is great, watch it) but this is the real deal, the main series, the meat of the bone and, well, you get the idea. Looking online for a good place to start on the franchise can be kind of complex and the fans online don't seem to have much of an agreement of where to start. However, Fate/Zero consistently appeared as a top recommendation, and it being a prequel can sort of help in getting started out. Anyways, I'm not here to bother you with Fate fandom theories but instead, comment on how great and enjoyable this entry into the franchise was. Without giving too many details about the fiction (and since you could pretty much write a grade thesis about it), basically, mages battle to the death for this Holy Grail thingy, an object capable of granting any wish they desire. For battling, they summon ancient familiars, or rather Heroic Spirits from heroes and fictions of the past, who come to life at the expense of their mana. Animation, art direction and battle sequences were top-notch, amongst the best you can find in the media. Most of the characters were engaging and passionate in their writing and in their delivery, and the music totally delivered in either the most intense or dramatic moments. Story-wise, it also featured a number of interesting twists and turns that I wasn't expecting and I thought the conclusion tied most of what was told. If there's something I can talk negatively about it is that the story and characters' motivations are sometimes explained through long-winded and tiring conversations were nothing happens, and these can drag on for a while. Granted, not all of them, but a few were a bit tedious to sit through. Personally, I enjoyed the second season a tad bit more than the first one, as it ended most of the participants' involvement in the Holy Grail War in a rather fantastic way. So yeah, a great watch all throughout. Probably the other series in the franchise will clear up part of the confusion I had with this entry, looking forward to that. Spoiler Best Heroic Spirit? Spoiler Well, that's Rider / Iskandar, of course, the King of Conquerors A true king. A guy you would wish you had as a friend or that you would follow anywhere due to his personality. And man, fuck, I so want a T-Shirt like that one lol xxD Punch Line (12 Episodes - 2015) Enjoyment Score: 5.8 Here we have a very interesting premise from a talented studio (according to the Internet peeps) that totally underdelivered for me. Punch-Line tells the story of Yuuta Iridatsu, a guy who gets his spirit separated from his body and has to find a way to save the world from coming to an end by figuring out what to do while inhabits a residence full of various girls, all the while avoiding the ever-present threat of watching panties since that actually ends the world even faster. I love ecchi shows and this premise is interesting enough but Punch Line itself felt like someone threw a bunch of disjointed, crazy ideas and plot elements into the drawing board and somehow ended up with an anime. The series starts off well and many comedic moments happen at first but as things progress, you can't help but feel that very little of what is going makes any actual sense, at least in my opinion. Add a few ridiculous plot twists by the end and more crazy elements threw in, not exactly for good measure, and I'm not sure of what I watched here. The characters are appropriately designed but I felt as if there was no head or tail to the actions in the series, therefore, I had a hard time enjoying this series. Even the panty-peeking action wasn't all that good either. It was succulent to watch on the very first few episodes, but as things progressed, they were less present or introduced in weird contexts so, ehhhh... It was just okay, but I think there are far better ecchi series out there. Also, don't you think that triggering a world destruction event after watching panties could be like the worst form of punishment anyone could ever get? At least, from my point of view lol. ? Spoiler Best Panties? Spoiler And therefore Best Girl, Narugino. I found her personality to be the most charming. Her charming personality in action. ↓↓↓ We even got some holiday pantsu action too. For real here, she was the only reason of why I gave a 6 score to the series on MAL. A Silent Voice (Movie - 2016) Enjoyment Score: 8 This is my second time watching this movie from the legendary studio KyoAni actually. Here's a quick story. The first fansub I got this movie from did a craptacular work on the subbing, so much so that I had so many troubles understanding the movie the first because I would keep focusing my full attention on all the grammar issues present on screen. And in Spanish, this is very important, because not having words properly accented or written can totally change the meaning of what you're trying to convey. So yeah, I watched it and I was like ----> ._. I didn't get anything. Fast forward a few months later, I downloaded the movie from a different, more reputable fansub that actually knows how to write Spanish and here we are. ^^ A Silent Voice (or Koe no Katachi for you folks that like them Japanese titles) tells a very heartwarming tale and a very important life lesson that I'm sure many of you you would appreciate. MC, Shouya Ishida turns into an elementary school bully when the deaf Shouko Nishimiya transfers to his school. After Shouya's actions, Shouko transfers to another school and is Shouya the one that ends being ostracized in the school and set aside by those who he considered his friends. Years later, Shouya, which now suffers from social anxiety, tries to amend the mistakes of his past after he meets with Shouko again. Without spoiling too much, it's a great watch, filled with valuable life lessons. The delivery was interesting, especially in the way how Shouko interacts with everyone else, and in how Shouya perceives the world around him and in how deals with his anxiety. The art style is pretty unique but I personally didn't find it that much charming. One thing, though, that I frequently read online is people commenting on how emotional this anime is. To that extent, I partially agree. It was emotional, yes, but it never brought me to tears like other series have done in the past. So, I guess depending on who you are, it may or may not make you cry. Overall, it was a very good movie. I obviously enjoyed it much more than on my first watch thanks to the improved subtitling and I can definitely see why many would consider it as another masterpiece from KyoAni, but to me, it was just a pretty good movie. Recommended. Spoiler Sometimes we've been through this as well, and we just want to isolate ourselves from anything and anyone. Just cute. That moment when you find a friend you can trust. And no more gifs because I don't want to spoil things. Edited February 20, 2020 by Honor_Hand Damn spoiler tags. Leon Castle
Ro-Kyu-Bu! SS Episode 9-12 (Finished) Enjoyment level: 10 After their loss against Suzuridani Academy, the members of the Keishin Academy girls' basketball team—Tomoka Minato, Maho Misawa, Airi Kashii, Hinata Hakamada, and Saki Nagatsuka, along with their coach, Subaru Hasegawa—exert more of their time and effort in improving in the sport day by day. However, this time around, new rivals with strengths possibly exceedings theirs and friends appear on their way to the top. I was glad I was able to see Season 2 altough it took me some years... It was funny seeing the new lolis plus Hina's little sister experiment with Aoi's oppai Spoiler Well it did end there with Natsuhi maybe getting a view before getting knocked down. Masamune
If It's for My Daughter, I'd Even Defeat a Demon Lord (complete, enjoyment: 3.5/5) It was okay, but despite the name, there's little to no combat/action in it (let alone a Demon Lord). Half, no... 3/4 of the anime is just showing how cute Latina is, & then the MC gushing over her... yep, that's pretty much it. ?
