I Feel sorry for Mei too I have only watched a few shoujo animes like Kimi ni Todoke, Bokura Ga Ita and lovely complex. Do you have any other you can recommend? Princess Tutu, Fruits Basket, Kamisama Hajimemashita - these three you should definitely see, even if you don't like this genre. Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Ouran Host Club and Special A are a little bit overrated, but they still are a good comedies. You can also try Hotarubi no Mori e.
