Ghost
Big news coming from Microsoft as they have acquired Ninja Theory (The Cambridge-based studio is best known for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, DmC: Devil May Cry, Enslaved: Journey to the West, and Heavenly Sword), and also Undead Labs, Playground Games, and Compulsion Games This acquisition comes with the announcement of a new Microsoft game studio known as The Initiative in Santa Manica, according to The Guardian. Satoshi Ookami
The other 4 are one thing but Ninja Theory hurts... MS is doing their job properly for a change.
Popular Post YTPerfectParadox
This is why i hate microsoft. Cant come up with their own game ideas so just buy out all the third party companies. Its like the child who goes and ruins everyones game at school because he wasnt invited to play
TheYuriG
Hopefully this means that MS will start amending the gap between them and Sony. Strong competition is always better for the customer.
Dantes_994
Well in that case I hope they make more games like DmC which sucks... the other 3 are really good
SnowxSakura
No one freaks out when EA acquires third party studios and slowly kills them, but a direct competitor buys them and all the fanboys freak out, the double standard is so hypocritical.

Literally everyone freaks out when EA does that, what are you talking about?
Undead Wolf
I mean props to Microsoft for recognising that their current first party studios are severely lacking in comparison to the competition and making steps towards improving them. We'll have to see how that studio they're building from the ground up turns out - it could be a massive boon for them in the long run. Ninja Theory is a big gain, but people have to remember, Rare was a huge get for them back in the day and look how that turned out. Hopefully they are treated much better because they are a really good studio. I don't really expect much out of Undead Labs, Playground Games, and Compulsion Games. TugaSonic
I'm surprised about Ninja Theory since I thought that the whole Hellblade being independent was to show how they can succeed on their own and not too long after here they are joining with Microsoft. Just hope they don't become like Rare.
Yen-Pop
I want to optomistic and say that hopefully this means some real quality content will be coming down the pipe for Xbox, and that developers like Ninja Theory will have more money to make more games more often.
Conker
I just hope they continue producing great games and don't turn out how rare did after they were bought
ShadowStar83x
MS is hurting in the first party department. Four of them made games just for MS anyway.
Galactic Hyper Balls
Ms does have some extra money in there vault, crazy they bought ninja theory thou, well with stronger hardware you can only play the BEST GAMES on there XBOX JUAN X.
AffectatiousDonk
Great to see them aquire Playground, about time. Unfortunate for Playstation that it is unlikely to ever get a Forza game now. Good showing, if eve there was a time to look at the X would have to be now, well if your not a silly fan boy. olliebear66t
A shame; I'm a big fan of Compulsion games. Hope this doesn't affect We Happy Few coming to PS4. It does seem a bit meaningless though if you can play all the first party games on PC. Only problem with that is you can't earn Trophies.
RadiantFlamberge
Well this really bites. I'd rather have had Ninja Theory stay independent. Future NT games will end up Xbox only, or with PC versions if we're lucky. Given that they're now a Microsoft studio, hopefully the PC versions won't end up locked to the Windows Store (Yuck, Steam would be better!).
